I had low expectations for tonight, but I’m really glad I went to tonight’s PPV. AJ Styles was amazing and that main event really delivered. Only thing that made me mad was the weird ending to the New Day match, but that’ll probably lead to a cool three-way tagtean mstch at Mania, so I’ll let it slide.

Here’s a photo from where I was sitting.

I haven't been feeling the Hammer Bros since they got repackaged, but if you take an objective step back and consider their power game, and how it would mix with the high octane style of the Usos and New Day, this could end up potentially being a TLC match to rival those of the Dudleys, Hardy's and E&C. TLC is the pretty much the ONLY match I wanna see these 3 teams in together.

The whole Shane/Owens/Zayne thing is getting interesting. We're at the point where it's no longer clear who the babyfaces/heels actually are anymore. They kept teasing that Daniel Bryan was gonna be the one to heel turn, but that's feeling more and more like a red herring.

Asuka showing up to challenge Charlotte was great. I did sort of see it coming after Alexa made Nia Jax cry on Raw last week. They are clearly setting up a Jaxx/Bliss fight, but it wasn't clear if that was going to happen at Mania or not.

TBH, I really hadn't been feeling Roode since he joined the main roster. Hopefully he goes heel after his title loss, because that version of him is FAR more entertaining, and about the only way to make a 3-way with Jinder and Orton somewhat interesting.

I still highly doubt Cena won't be on the Mania card, so something interesting HAS to happen with him over the next few weeks. One angle I could see working is John feeling like he has to prove himself by any means necessary, and picking a fight with Strowman. If he jumps Braun from behind or something, and sells that he can beat him if he's willing to play dirty, that could sell pretty well. He might just come out and give another speech about how disappointed he is and get challenged by some returning star or a major NXT call-up too. There's a lot of potential for him to ultimately prop up someone that's not currently on the mania card.

Corbin vs Ziggler on the Mania pre-show maybe? I see both guys making the card, but not in a significant slot. Or they'll just be in the Andre Battle Royal.

Whatever happens, it's a pretty safe bet AJ/Nakamura steals the show, and then creative wastes any momentum they build together because they still don't know how to handle Nakamura. I do expect him to beat AJ, just based on rumors they want AJ on RAW ASAP, but I doubt he keeps the belt beyond Summerslam.

Why the fuck is Orton champ again? Yeesh.
Oh well. We might get a good 3 way w/ Rusev, Roode, Orton with Rusev going over.
Man is so over it's crazy WWE aren't pushing him.

Randy Orton is a better champ than Jinder. I would enjoy seeing Russev as the champ with Aiden singing a new song for Russev day.

Raw was okay tonight. It was disappointing when Elias left the ring quickly and did nothing. It was stupid that Strowman won the tag team battle rumble all by himself. Cena calling out the UnderTaker again was really desperate. The Miz and Woken Matt both only talked, but were the best part of the show.

WWE's writers have been scrambling to try and make Roman a fan favorite. Most of their plans have failed so far.

So far the plans have been working to a certain degree. Brock's been getting a negative enough reaction at least for Roman to be seen as the lesser evil in the feud. That one line however just tries to shift the narrative too much. Too try hard.

I agree with you. It did make Roman seem desperate and trying to hard.

Smackdown was okay tonight. They really should of let Aiden English sing. That is all he has. I am glad that Shane is retiring from running Smackdown. Most of his calls were one sided and his grudge against Kevin Owens was really unfair. Trust me, I know all about being picked on for no reason by " authority figures. " However, I think that Shane will continue to screw with Owens.

Shane is only taking an 'absense'. Basically he's freeing up to be in a 3-way with Zayne and Owens at Mania. He's not REALLY leaving. I imagine he plans on pulling another dangerous spot and knows he'll be injured for a while afterward, so story-wise he can go away and the show won't miss the commissioner at all.

I figured he would be in a match with Zayne and Owens. To be fair, Shane has been such an abusive authority figure it will be nice to watch him get beat him. Most people daydream about the day that they can beat up a boss or jerk that has wronged them. Owens and Zayne make a good team when they are both heels.

The only interest I have in Fastlane is, surprisingly, what Cena's character does when AJ wins the 6-pack.

What of Enzo for that matter nobody has mentioned anything not even the rumor sheets

anything new with him?

1. They changed it to just "Women's Battle Royal". Though it probably wasn't due to the (WELL DESERVED) bitching but Snickers, one of their sponsors, actually reaching out to them telling them to change it.
Naming it after Moolah would be like naming a match after Benoit or Dynamite Kid.

Wasnt aware snickers was sponsoring again

Makes sense

Wow, I had never heard of a sponsor making them change the name of an event. I was never a big fan of Moolah.

I don't like that Braun is forced to find a tag team partner though. Man is exactly what WWE needs but somehow they seem to want to limit his popularity.

I don't think they are limiting his popularity so much as saving him for the post-Lesnar era. He's a bona-fide star, and will easily slide into a world title position when they need him to.

I think in the short term, they just want to see how he rolls as a babyface before they decide what direction to use him in.

This tag team thing is going to be a short part of his career I think. It'll be some way to give an older star a quick run (Mark Henry maybe?), or to play with an odd couple pairing with some rando jobber or cruiserweight.

I almost think it could be a great place to stick Kurt Hawkins. Just have Braun refuse to let him participate in any match, until he gets sick of it, tags himself in, and causes them to lose the belts.

Good points. As far as popularity goes though, the most reasonable choice is Elias. They can still have the 'tagging himself in and losing' spot which could lead to a longer term feud (realized they just had a short feud)

Elias has really been bringing the entertainment lately. I could see him winning the tag team titles, but it would stink to have him lose it so quickly.

Though admittedly James Ellsworth would get the best reaction. From what I understand his independent status allows him for one offs.

James Ellsworth could be a good loser that just goes alone for the ride.

Matt Hardy has done an amazing job reinventing himself. I wasn't his biggest fan when he was " team extreme " or " Matt 2.0 and his M. Fers " , Broken ( Woken ) Matt is just out of this world good. Matt deserves an acting award like an Oscar. He is a country boy from the Carolinas talking about ancient history is that new accent.

I agree that is was not the best. It should of been longer, and not end the very end of A RAW. However, the gimmick itself is still golden, even if it is watered down in the WWE.

Bray Wyatt should be transformed into a new gimmick, but we will all have to wait and see. If he does change, perhaps he will be a baby face.
