He beat Bob Backlund.
Hulk Hogan also beat Bob Backlund, so that makes Hogan a god as well. ;)

Iron Sheik was a legitimate Olympic wrestler who could put on a match 100x better than Hogan ever could. And today, he owns on Twitter.

Kurt Angle was an Olympic wrestler and won a gold medal with a broken neck. So, Kurt Angle is equal or better than the Iron Shiek. Does that make Kurt Angle a god?
Iron Shiek can not be the only god. lol

RAW was not good, and that is surprising since it is two weeks until Wrestlemania. We all know Rhonda Rousey will defeat Stephanie McMahon. The way they keep focusing on it is starting to get boring.

Elias, Woken Matt and the Miz are still the best parts of the show. The biggest question is who will be Braun's Tag team partner?

They had really better do an impressive episode next week. The last RAW before Wrestlemania.

It's hilarious. A 4 year project Vinnie just won't let go of.

Roman Reigns is still very hated. He was pushed to hard into the main championship at first, and it failed, His drug abuse issues made him look like a junkie. Being from a wrestling family made if look like he was gifted his job and any title opportunity.

He really should of been repackaged, but Roman's ego would not let it happen. I always boo him and enjoy watching him get attacked and beat up.

I can agree with you about that statement.

RAW and SmackDown have been really weak leading up to Wrestlemania. They have one week left to get it together.

RAW was bad, but Smackdown was even worse this week, and these are the last episodes before Wrestlemania. John Cena has cried and begged to fight the old man Undercarder, but looks like that will not happen. Cena might be Braun's tag team partner?

The best thing I saw all week was when Aiden English, who can sing Opera, rapping on SmackDown for Russev's Day. They really need to do much more with English.

There is only one thing that they can do to make Wrestlemania exciting, and that would be the return of Hulk Hogan. Hogan denied that he would be there, but Rhonda Rousey did the same exact thing.

At 4/6/18 09:01 AM, FastbootsZA wrote: My predictions for wrestlemania (winners in bold)

Brock Lesnar Vs. Roman Reigns (Universal championship match)

This is almost a no brainer with Brock going back to UFC

AJ Styles Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE championship match)

Yeah, and the AJ moves to RAW because they just seem to hate having AAA talent on SD....

Charlotte Flair Vs. Asuka (Smackdown women's championship match)

I feel like Asuka will win this.. but then I wonder. If Charolette doesn't end her winning streak, who can? Maybe Carmella cashes in like Rollins did on Brock and Roman?

Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey Vs. Triple H & Stephanie McMahon (Mixed tag team match)

Rousey pretty much HAS to win with all the hype. I'll just be happy if it's not a rookie botchfest... I assume Kurt and HHH will carry 90% of the match.

The Miz Vs. Finn Balor Vs. Seth Rollins (Intercontinental championship triple threat match)

I'm leaning Rollins here. You know Miz will want to take time off now that he's a dad, so he's going to drop the belt to ONE of them. Maybe when he comes back he'll get elevated to the Universal title picture.

Randy Orton Vs. Jinder Mahal Vs. Bobby Roode Vs. Rusev (United States championship fatal 4 way match)

Rusev came into this at the last minute, as a sort of dark horse. Considering how over he is right now, and how little the US Title really seems to matter at the moment, I think he's going to win just to give the crowd a big pop.

Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon Vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

I feel like the booking for this setup got changed the minute Bryan was cleared to compete. 3 weeks ago I would have predicted Bryan does a heel turn (via a run-in) and helps Zayne and Owens win... but now that he's going to be back in the ring, they're going to want to cash in on his babyface popularity. Shane is still too hurt to be doing any insane spots, so his role has to be something else... so I'm thinking he does the heel turn, and Zayne and Owens still win.

Alexa Bliss Vs. Nia Jax (Raw women's championship match)

Nia wins in a squash match because the card is so stacked, there's not enough time for this match to be more than 5 minutes.

Cedric Alexander Vs. Mustafa Ali (Cruiserweight championship match)

This championship really doesn't matter, so I think they take the opportunity to appear like they aren't Islamophobic, and put it on Ali.

Women's battle royal Bayley

I think the battle royal will be used to push the Bayley/Sasha angle a bit more, and because of that neither one will win. I'm picking Becky Lynch and her terrible new tights here.

Andre the giant memorial battle royal Matt Hardy

I don't see Matt Hardy winning. This match will be used to set him up for his next major feud though. Maybe Jeff shows up as Brother Nero, and they end up at odds with the Revival or something. I personally want Heath Slater to win, but that won't happen. I'm going to pick an unannounced star... Big Cass makes his return and wins. It's a long shot, but you never know.

The Bar Vs. Braun Strowman & ??? (Raw tag team championship match)

yeah Brain... er I mean, Braun's team will win. Money is on Bray being his partner... but my dark horse for that is Joe.

The Usos Vs. The Bludgeon Brothers Vs. The New Day (Smackdown tag team championship match)

I'm going with the Usos here. The whole story is built around how they have been robbed of their Wrestlemania moment forever, and them winning makes a good payoff. If this isn't a TLC match, I will be disappointed.

Andrade Cien Almas Vs. Aleister Black (NXT championship match)

Ditto. Almas is a great talent, but he's never going above midcard on the main roster. They need to move on and get Black groomed for bigger things.

Ember Moon Vs. Shayna Baszler (NXT women's championship match)

I'm going with Shayna too. They are going to milk this rivalry for a few more matches I think.

EC3 Vs. Adam Cole Vs. Velveteen Dream Vs. Ricochet Vs. Lars Sullivan Vs. Killian Dain (NXT North American championship ladder match)

If Black is going to win the NXT Title, then a heel has to win this. I'm picking EC3.

The Undisputed Era Vs. The Authors of Pain Vs. Pete Dunne & Roderick Strong (NXT tag team championship dusty rhodes tag team classic match)

I agree. It'll be a fun twist that the Dusty classic trophy goes to guys that weren't even in the tournament. And it's a good chance to show Undisputed Era can run strong even with a man down.

Johnny Gargano Vs. Tommaso Ciampa (Unsanctioned match)

I have a feeling Gargano is getting bumped to the main roster... or at least 205 Live. So I think Ciampa wins. There is no better opponent for Gargano to tear the house down with in his last NXT match.

I am curious to see how they play out the 'unsanctioned' aspect of this match. It's been such a grey term as a stipulation in the past.

My predictions for wrestlemania

Roman Reigns (Universal championship match)

Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE championship match)

Asuka (Smackdown women's championship match)

Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey (Mixed tag team match)

Finn Balor (Intercontinental championship triple threat match)

Rusev (United States championship fatal 4 way match) Rusev day everyday.

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

Alexa Bliss (Raw women's championship match)

Mustafa Ali (Cruiserweight championship match)

Women's battle royal - I could not care less.

Andre the giant memorial battle royal Woken Matt Hardy

The Bar (Raw tag team championship match)

The Bludgeon Brothers (Smackdown tag team championship match) - Finally somebody new wins it.

I can honestly say I did not see the Roddy swerve coming. Between that and the ladder match, they have finally put undisputed era at the top of the food chain.

I’m thinking Roddy is taking the UK title soon.

I hate to say it, but after that action packed show... sitting through the entirety of Wrestlemania is feeling like it will be a chore.

I love a good swerve that you never see coming. They do not happen very often.

It would be good if they make it a slow process.

Wrestlemania has become to long. Especially, with the pre matches. Bring some coffee so you can stay awake for all of it.

He got up just long enough to job for Taker. Clearly the old man wasn’t down for a full length match. So much for it being a “dream match”. Shoulda left him retired and had Cena put a full timer over instead.

Hate that they gave it Charlotte initially but really thinking about it, there's no one else that they could've given it to except Rousey. Maybe they'll give Rousey an undefeated streak and give it to Asuka to balance it out.

Also, maybe they're giving Charlotte an undefeated Wrestlemania streak so she give it to Roman Reigns' daughter 15 years from now XD.

Taker's appearance was a nostalgia act. We all knew it was never gonna be a full length thing.

They missed better nostalgic moments. Jarrett hitting Elias with a Guitar.. the Dudley’s coming out and insisting the SD tag match be TLC, etc..

Whenever somebody gets an undefeated Wrestlemania streak, you know that they use it as a crutch. Just like the UnderCarder has for years and years. It looks even worse, when they only wrestle once or twice a year.

Yeah I don't think Brock would agree to that. He doesn't like Jericho in real life.
I can see Joe getting a 2nd shot since both Heyman and Brock love working with him.
Maybe WWE are going with Bobby Lashley.

The smart money would be someone like Braun, Lashley or Joe. But I think Balor would have FAR more impact, and actually be able to make them more money because he's basically 2 characters in one.

He can have some kind of program where Brock takes him lightly, and they ultimately end up in a triple threat situation. Brock wins, but Balor doesn't take the pin, and Balor actually pushes Brock to the limit. The build for this gets people ecited that maybe there will FINALLY be a new champ, and the crowd loves Balor. Rollins could maybe be the 3rd guy since they have been working so well together recently, and the fans would love to see either guy get a shot.

Then after this setup, Finn steps up to Brock demanding a one-on-one. They can have Heyman carry most of this build until near the end, where Lesnar just destroys him on RAW. Next week, Brock And Heyman cut a promo, and get interrupted byy the titantron playing some cryptic threat about THE DEMON. The crowd loses their shit, and $$$$ is made in the next PPV.

Really though, I am curious just how much longer they can keep their top title on a part-timer who pretty much puts on the exact same match 4 times a year, before the fans finally turn. I know they were saying last night's match was boring/awful, but I think they were aiming that more at Roman. But if they keep chanting this way for all of Brock's matches, who knows.

Mania weekend was a mixed bag.

NXT overdelivered yet again. Ladder match was a great opener, the women's championship was good even if Baszler is still pretty green, the tag championship was solid with a nice swerve at the finish, the NXT championship was superb but not quite as good as Almas vs Gargano from the last show, and Gargano vs Ciampa was wrestling perfection. Just absolutely superb storytelling and the best longterm booking WWE has done in years. The HEAT Ciampa has is intense. Loved it. An excellent show top to bottom.

Mania itself was fine. Both Battle Royals were nothing matches and the Cruiserweight match was okay but lacked any real heat.

IC championship was a fun, fast paced way to kick the main show off but I didnt really care about any of the guys winning so I wasnt too invested.

Charlotte vs Asuka was great, probably MOTN, and if anyone was going to end the streak it should have been Charlotte. Great stuff.

Four way was in the death spot after the last match, and rightly so. Everyone hates Mahal, but WWE has so few heels with actual heat these days having one as champ isnt a bad thing.

Rousey's debut was better than it had any right to be. Some of her offense was a bit sloppy but she's got the charisma to make that not really matter. Way better than I was expecting.

Smackdown belts was a squash and I don't give a shit about the Bludgeon Brothers. Whatever.

Taker and Cena was fine. I'd rather see Taker battering lads in 2 minutes than repeats of the long matches from the last few years (CM Punk at WM29 was his last great match). He's one of the greatest of all time and having sloppy, dragging bouts hurts his legacy. Just have him hit someone with a tombstone and send everyone home happy like this.

Seeing Bryan again was just magic. I love him so much. Just please stop doing missile dropkicks, they're fucking terrifying. Shane is rubbish in ring but I didn't care because I got to see Daniel Bryan kicking heads in.

Jax vs Bliss was gross. Bliss has spoken openly about her struggle with anorexia and this angle was tone deaf and crass. Should have been a 60 second squash if it was going to happen at all.

Styles vs Nakamura was a crushing disappointment. It should have been a classic, it was just fine. Felt like a Smackdown main event rather than a Wrestlemania match, and was super short. Wrestle Kingdom 10 it was not.

Braun vs The Bar was a fun angle. Match was a nothing but I enjoyed seeing how fucking terrified that kid was.

Didn't watch the main event because I could not give a fuck and going to bed before 5am was more appealing.

Really a show of two halves. Generally very good up to and including Bryan and Shane vs Zayn and Owens, and bad afterwards. 7 hours is far too fucking long too.
