Last night's RAW was really bad.

The main event match, was a 4 vs 7 Tag team match.

Got caught up on NXT. I'd missed the last three episodes.

I love wrestling. How this show can be so good when Raw is unwatchable is beyond me. Bayley dragged a great match out of Eva fucking Marie, even if it was almost entirely down to storyline shenanigans.

Cannot wait to see them live the weekend after next. London show (and I assume they'll put on roughly the same card at the house show I'm going to) is shaping up to be Finn Balor vs Samoa Joe, Apollo Crews vs Baron Corbin, Bayley vs Nia Jax, Emma vs Asuka and Dash and Dawson vs Enzo and Cass. Every one of those matches will be amazing. The potential of a Zayn return just in time for the UK tour only sweetens the deal.

I wouldn't call it a GREAT Raw, but it was a little better than the last few. I just don't get the way they are booking Sheamus at all.

He hasn't gotten one over on Roman at all since he cashed in, so how do they expect anyone to believe for one minute he's capable of winning?

Even if they DID pull a swerve finish at TLC, most fans really assume they know the ending, and neither one of those guys is interesting enough for even the TLC rules to sell it as something worth paying money to see.

They should have focused a LOT more on selling the tag team TLC match. That has the makings of being at a similar level to the classic E&C vs Hardys vs Dudleys match, which was REALLY the match that made TLC more than just a ladder match with a different name to begin with.

I would be showing highlights from THAT match in every show and drawing parallels. People want to see that insane carnage again and THAT is the match most likely to do it. When you have 7 guys, you can do WAY more epic spots without killing anyone. And the teamwork aspect will set it above the MITB style matches.

The sleeper hit of Raw HAD to be the emergence of heel Charlotte. I think everyone (including Miz) got over in that segment. I'm so glad she's taking on the dirtiest diva role. She was way too wooden as a generic babyface.

And they DID finally kill that retarded-as-fuck Meximerica angle. Maybe Del Rio can finally be allowed to be a real badass like he was in Mexico.

I guess WWE sent out a massive survey asking fans how they rate different aspects of Raw compared to NXT and went so far as to hire someone to monitor online trends and build suggestions off the overall Internet vibe. All it took was ratings being at a near 20-year low.

Enzo and Cass vs Blake and Murphy (super fun, crowd insanely into Enzo and Cass)
Bull Dempsey vs Tye Dillinger (comedy match, was okay)
Apollo Crews vs Samoa Joe (great in ring work, but crowd loved Joe too much to boo him. Everyone did Uhaa Nation chants rather than Apollo Crews ones which always irritates me)
Bayley vs Emma (fantastic, these two could do with a proper feud over the title)
Jordan and Gable vs Dawson and Wilder (incredible, MOTN. Hot as fuck crowd, great comedy spots and amazing chain wrestling)
Asuka vs Carmella (crowd didn't know who to get behind and was exhaused after screaming for Gable for the last 15 minutes. Silence throughout, basically a repeat of their recent match from TV. Was okay.)
Balor vs Zayn vs Corbin (fuck me, the pop for Sami Zayn. Great match, and surprisingly funny too. Really high energy, and the good way to end the night.)

Balor. Ending was amazing. Zayn set Balor up for the turnbuckle brainbuster he used to do as Generico, but Corbin went under for the tower of doom spot. Balor hung on, but Zayn got powerbombed. Corbin made the cover, and at like 2 3/4s, Balor lands on him with the Coup de Grace, and pins Corbin for the win.

Also there was a bit where Balor put on Zayn's hat and did an impression of his skanking dance, which Zayn sold like Balor had murdered his entire family.
