Despite being a nothing PPV, I've actually had a lot of fun watching TLC thus far. Every match has had something fun to offer me tonight and I love that Dean is IC champ now.

Well, I was right about the tag team 3 way being the best match of the show.

The Roman rampage was a good way to end too. Feels like the Reigns that was promised back in the shield days, not Samoan Cena.

RAW should have better ratings tonight, since people will watch to see the PPV's results. There could be a rematch or two from TLC.

I haven't watched much WWE lately. I am watching this match right now, the crowd is booing both of them.
Competing "we want cena / Cena sucks" chants.
Weird.

Also, McGregor. wow.

See I respect McGregor. He has guts. He went to Rio De Janeiro and said to Aldo, "VocĂȘ vai morrer!" He also lived up to his promise.

Roman Reigns won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tonight on Monday Night Raw.

I'm shocked that they gave away that title on free TV. Vince and Co. must be really trying to get those ratings back up.

So, I'm guessing that they'll build Roman up as a fighting champion while having Brock come back as an unstoppable force and have them collide at Mania for their long-awaited rematch?

They have Vinnie Mac to return tonight to fire Roman Reigns. He ends up giving Reigns the Championship. Such a bad RAW. Don't even get me started on what they did to The New Day.

So let's recap:

Major Title Change
A Hardcore Rules match (complete with EC-DUB chants)
Vince back on TV
The top babyface being WAY more violent/aggressive
The in-ring action was emphasized more than the promos
Actual Blood

Are the signs pointing to a creative shift that will push the PG era up to PG-13 to try and get some attitude era fans back?

If they skip the way the attitude era treated the divas and limit the sexual content, they could actually bring back a lot of what made the Attitude Era great without losing that PG rating. And so far it looks like they are going down that route. If they can just use that as a vehicle to push the new talent like they did in the Attitude Era, they may turn this sinking ship around.

I'm also coming around on Reigns a bit more. I like him a lot better when he communicates with looks and gestures. I hate when he talks. If he can keep working on conveying emotion without blabbering, he'll only look stronger for it.

I'd pair him with a manager to be honest. I hate whenever Brock Lesnar talks, I'm glad they brought Paul Heyman back with him, because it was truly needed. Who to pair with Reigns though as his manager though?

It would be tough to wedge a manager into his character, so it would almost need to be an "enemy of my enemy" situation. Could be a role for Sting if he can't get cleared to wrestle again. But I think he would do better solo, letting his fists talk for him.

The New Day seems to be the best thing going in WWE. They have no decent competition in the tag team division.

Takeover London tonight.

So fucking hyped. If it's half as good as the house show I was at it's going to be incredible.

Prepare for football songs with wrestler's names awkwardly slotted in. Embrace them. Love them.

Yeah, it was a great show. Biggest disapointment was how mild Cass' hot tag was. All that build for no payoff. Still a good match on the whole.

Got to have thick skin to wrestle as a heel in front of a crowd like that, though. The abuse they hurled at Corbin was mental.

Glad to hear the London likes the WWE so much.
Why do they sing football songs?

Not WWE if Sheffield was anything to go by. We booed the fuck out of the TLC promos they played. NXT only.

Why do they sing football songs?

To teach American crowds how it's done. I'll take a building full of drunk Englishman singing "You're shit and you know you are" at Baron Corbin over a couple of Americans chanting "Corbin sucks" while the rest of the arena sits on their hands.

Just a cultural thing I guess. Why go to a wrestling show if you're not going to make some noise and have a laugh?

Also British crowds will shout "ONE FALL!" after every match is announced and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it.

The wost spot to be in is right in the middle of midcard. That's 3 mat hes before the main event, when everyone gets up to the bathroom. New Day can be cringing with some of their antics but at least they arent forgotten.

I am not a fan of the Usos. I do not like there gimmick, mic skills, or moves. I find the New Day to be the opposite of them. Everything they do is entertainment gold.

The Slammy awards on Monday's RAW were not the best. The NEW DAY was robbed of the best Tag Team award. They gave it two the Usos, who only have a job because they are related to the Rock.

I HOPE DANIEL BRYAN NEVER RETUNS TO WRESTLING!!!!!!11!!!!!111!!!

Now that I have your attention, I want to ask you guys something.
What do you think of Roman Reigns as the champ? I didnt like him at first, but I think he started to improve.
At least until Brock Lesnar and/or John Cena returns.
PS: I was just joking about that Daniel Bryan thing, I hope he returns to the ring soon.

I want to like reigns, and the direction of the company. We'll have to wait until his repertoire is flexible and well oiled before reaching signature spot status. Right now theres been months of emotional investments on talent that nobody has

interest in. But personally, i rather DB be sidelined then out risking his life.

Oh yeah, he also needs a new finisher. Superman Punch is just a more glorified version of the Bg Shows K.O. Punch.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2015-12-27 05:34:08

Its your opinion, Superman Punch seems more unrealistic to me.
