One of my friends from high school who is a close friend of my best friend. Let's just leave it at that. Has been picked up by WWE. He will be performing this coming Monday. Me and my friend have got tickets to see him as well as the rest of the show.

This will be the very first live wrestling event I've ever been to.

You have my attention.

Is he any good? Or is he to be one of Skip's next jobbing victims?

This will be the very first live wrestling event I've ever been to.

Congrats.

Truth be told I've never seen him wrestle. I've seen different pictures of him in action, even at one point given the chance to wrestle against Matt Hardy.

Is it a try out or is just a local guy coming in for a squash type deal?

I'm not entirely sure. I've been trying to get him to tell me, but he's not responding. He said that WWE called him, so I'm guessing the possibility of a squash type deal.

Most likely if they called and said "come in for monday" then he's probably working a squash type deal, but he should absolutely do 2 things:

1. BEST BEHAVIOR AT ALL TIMES! Shake hands, be personable, be respectful, don't make trouble. Do whatever you are asked, treat this as a job interview.

2. Do nothing to try and get himself over. Work within the parameters of what they want.

If he's serious about this, he wants to make a good impression on people so that when they're scouting talent again for developmental and what not that he's a name they'll think of.

CM Punk says a new WWE Title belt has been designed and produced...I about had an orgasm. I have never liked, or been able to take Ol' Blingey as a serious championship for a serious competitor. The sooner that thing is gone once and for all, the better. Absolutely horrible idea it was.

Yeah, I was there in the audience. While Cole was getting out of his chair, if you heard the chant "get in the ring". I was the one who started that chant, I was so excited to hear it that I came home, loaded it up on my DVR to see if it could be heard and it COULD!

Also seeing Sin Cara live is amazing!

However one of my friends, he went by the name Stan Stansky, got whooped by Ryback. When I saw the little promo of Ryback wrestling, I knew what was gonna happen to my friend.

The show was still amazing though!

Also after the show went off, David Otunga and Laurinits came out along with the Big Show. Cena was in a 3 on 1 Handicap Match. Cena won and gave Big Johnny the Attitude Adjustment. It was glorious to see.

All in all, one of the best nights of my life.

He's small, so unless the network gets off the ground and the cruiserweight thing takes off, I don't see a lot of interest in him. Definitely had a better look then the other guy, but he probably needs to do some more work to get himself into a position cosmetically that they'd like.

Yeah, but you gotta remember, Orton was a bit of a small guy when he came in.

Orton had a pedigree, from a guy that was well liked, and he had a lot of agents pushing for him and his pedigree. Does your friend have any of these things? Does he have a famous relative that used to be a part of WWE during an era where they drew? Because if not...then he needs to impress them with his skills and work on his size some. I'm not trying to down the guy, I'm just trying to point out the realities of how this company has traditionally tended to think.

o_O What's this about a new WWE Title belt!? FUCK YEAH!

So, storylinewise, I thought Trips replaced Vince, so why is he doing these 'evaluations'? I guess because Trips is 'injured'?

AJ is out of her damned mind, and it's somewhat amusing. Even Kane doesn't know what the fuck to make of it. :P

So far, Sin Cara seems to be firing on all cylinders as if he never left, and he doesn't seem to be botching anything yet; then again, since they edit SD, maybe I wouldn't even be able to tell.

Anytime where Cole is getting massacred is a fun time, esp. when it's NOT on a PPV. But Cena just made it funnier.

@The-Great-One:.........I figured he'd be one of Skip's (still refusing to use his current ringname, in case you're wondering) next victims, and I was right. Next time, tell him to pick a better ringname for himself, lol. Anyway, thanks for starting that chant. :P Glad ya had fun over there. ^_^

So, how goes No Way Out's re-premiering?

I knew I forgot to comment on something: I guess the whole point of Christian not explaing his face turn right away was so Cody could call him out on it. NOW the turn makes sense.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2012-06-12 13:52:04

Btw, ignore my comment a few posts up; I realized No Way Out is this Sunday, not last Sunday....I had a brain lapse again....

So, having not caught up with certain eras of wrestling, last night was the first time I'd ever seen Vader before. All I can say is, he needs a bigger spandex one-piece than the one he currently wears.......seriously, how the hell did he get in that thing w/o it splitting in half? o_O He looks like he was forcibly jammed in the damn thing. That being said, the crowd went apeshit for him. Talk about a fan favorite.

AJ continues to be insane. The title match should be funny as hell.

Vince.......so now what? Is he still gonna try & fire Laryngitis on Sunday (because we all know Show won't win)?

We had Christian in TNA cutting a promo, when he's already employed by WWE and a champion. Crazy stuff, but that was the trade off for letting Ric Flair be in the WWE Hall of Fame at WM 28 with the Four Horseman, right?

???

WWE let Christian stop over to The Place They Hate for a promo? Wow, that's a milestone.

This is true to a degree. Size hurts you sure, but if you have exceptional skills (like a Punk or a DB), and/or you have a pedigree to you and are willing to work to overcome it and tone up (which Orton did) you can overcome. But the trick is getting yourself in the door to begin with

I don't think they hate TNA, they compete with TNA...and even at that I doubt they see TNA as any kind of SERIOUS competition. This strikes me as a trade off for having Flair, and it could also help them with the lawsuit potentially. They've already got the restraining order dropped, and this could help their overall credibility of saying "we've got no desire to destroy this company or mess with them...look, we sent one of our current champions down to their PPV to help them out".

I agree completely, getting into the door will be tricky. Who knows, I am pulling for him though.

Anyways I'm sad to hear that Alberto Del Rio has been injured. I was so looking forward to seeing my favorite heel, Del Rio go against my favorite face, Sheamus. That's not gonna happen now.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2012-06-12 23:46:53

In response to the above post, I forgot to mention this earlier, but I feel sorry for Alberto right now. This is the second time he's had his run cut short before it could take off fully - and this one happened even faster than the last.

Either he's a tad injury-prone, or he's having some really shitty luck...... :/

He should be coming back from his injury soon...I know there was definitely talk at one point of Barrett/Punk at SS after Barrett cashed in MITB. Who knows if that's still on the table now.

I keep forgetting to ask how he's doing. Last time I saw him was when the injury happened & was clearly in serious, legitimate pain. Must've been relatively serious for it to have taken this long - unless it just seems like longer than it actually is.

Thank god, I was worried for a second that Laryngitis would somehow cost Cena.......and probably still result in his firing anyway.......so either way, it'd happen, in which case I shouldn't have worried about it. :P

I don't care how many of you guys don't like Teddy for whatever reason, despite the fact that he IS likeable; I'd rather have him as GM than deal with Johnny for any longer than I have to. Of course, I see Eve & Otunga trying to pull something, just to keep things interesting.

Edge as GM? I'd be COMPLETELY on board for that. But I kinda doubt it.

Because he laughed at The Boogeyman in the ring when Boogey was being promoted to be scary. Santino was unprofessional and Corny got pissed...but that does not give Corny license to assault the guy.

Also I love WWE logic: Duh, we just released a DVD of ECW matches we want you to buy...so let's send Triple H out there to run ECW down again and belittle it as a "bingo hall promotion" that didn't really matter. Brilliant! And you fucktards wonder why you struggle....

The main event was great; it's funny when even other heels think that a major heel isn't worth it.

AJ...........in a Kane mask........ooooooooooooookaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. Possibly the strangest thing I've ever seen.

I'm personally glad that whatever actually happened to Alberto wasn't that serious & that he'll be back on Friday (or is it next Monday?). I still don't see him winning MitB, though, as, if avie's earlier comments hold weight, that honor will be rightfully reserved for Wade. He needs this waaaaaaaaaaay more than Alberto does; winning that briefcase, if not to cash it in on Punk immediately & win, is about the best way he can make up for all that lost time.

At 6/19/12 02:25 PM, aviewaskewed wrote: Also I love WWE logic: Duh, we just released a DVD of ECW matches we want you to buy...so let's send Triple H out there to run ECW down again and belittle it as a "bingo hall promotion" that didn't really matter. Yeah, that was pretty low. Heyman acting as a heel in this is one thing; just don't spit on the ECW legacy, esp. when you're STILL TRYING TO MAKE MORE MONEY OFF OF IT.

Seriously, one of their dumbest business decisions, now that I think about it.
