I just hope Miz makes it on WM. How much has changed in a year huh? He went from main event to not even on the card. I think that will eventually turn around but he needs to wait out this lull in his career.

Jericho/Punk is going to be a kickass match no doubt. That's really the match I eventually want to see (since I'm not ordering WM) though I am looking forward to see how Cena/Rock playes out.

Sheamus wins. Bryan has been great, without question he's been great. He's gone from "who cares?" to eliciting a genuine reaction from you of wanting him to lose. Perfect! That's what heels are supposed to do. This I think is Sheamus's coming out party as a franchise babyface for the SD! brand. What WWE needs to do though is realize Bryan's value and keep it so that he loses, but isn't destroyed. Now of course, it could go the other way, and WWE could decide to have Bryan screw Sheamus, walk with the belt, build up another month or so and THEN pull the trigger. But this is Mania, and Mania is traditionally the star making show. So as much as I'd argue any other time to keep the belt on Bryan to prime the pump more for the chase (especially since I don't see any outcome other then Punk over Jericho) I think in this instance you flip the belt so that Sheamus gets the rub on the biggest stage possible, especially as Mark Henry continues to be rebuilt.

Jericho is the man, Punk is even more of the man, hopefully they'll give the match a good 20-25+ mins for it to be a thriller.

I've heard the card isn't that big match wise so all the main events can go 20-30 minutes. I think this is the exact proper call. I do hope the rumored placement for this one changes. Give them the time and they can put something together that will steal the show...but if it's on too early, I see it getting somewhat lost.

Also, I made a promise to my friends in school that if Boreton beats Kane at Wrestlemania I'm shaving my entire fuckin head and eyebrows.

Well, I'm hoping you pull a heel move on this one and don't go through with it...because I think Kane is there to eat and RKO and give Orton a win.

I'm obviously not going to live up to that promise but it's still really funny, something to make myself feel better since I'm nearly positive Orton will defeat the supervillain, who happens to be one of my fuckin' heroes, and prevail over him while girls are getting wet and kids are being little cunts. I swear Orton makes me want to stab really fuckin' sharp pencils into my eyes profusely nonstop. I miss the Legend Killer.

I think Orton has been better lately then he has at almost any point in his career (minus of course the Foley feud). It's a shame that he proves he really can't stay healthy.

Cody Rhodes and Big Show is surprisingly building up exceptionally well, hope Rhodes wins the match at Wrestlemania, I want the reign to last even longer.

I think they have done an exceptional job here, I think Rhodes should win...but if done right, Show can have the feel good moment over his tormentor without his tormentor looking bad. But yeah, I think Rhodes should probably win here.

John Cena vs. the Rock. Can you believe it?

Meh.

One week away from the most hyped up match in WWE history?

Oh, I dunno...see, I think I'm still going with Hogan and Andre on that. Or if you won't give it to me for hype, I will fight you all day that it is truly the "biggest match in WWE history" unlike the lies they keep telling saying this match is.

I mean, I have fucking long ago memories when the match was first set, and I've been hyped ever since. Hopefully it meets expectations, and hopefully that fuckin' asswipe Dwayne doesn't pull out a win. Cena forever.

What expectations? I dunno...I guess it'll be pretty good since when both guys need to work hard, they really can. But this has meant absolutely zero to me since I just don't see it doing anything for business long term. If I believed this was a turning point for the product, I'd be more into it. But as stands? Nah, don't really care.

Hearing rumors that the Miz will interfere in the main event between rocky and Cena.

Heard those too...would be a good idea if they don't turn around and neuter Miz after.

I don't believe it, I think Vince is smart enough to not fuck up THAT bad.

How exactly is it fucking up? Especially since I don't think anybody really believes the "first time, last time" tag line crap...I definitely see a rematch or two here. Adding a fucky finish into it could certainly help that. If the rest of the card is good and gives the audience what they want, it won't even matter that much.

If there's one match that Miz will interfere in, it might just be between Sheamus and Daniel Bryan. I'm really not sure at all. This is a possibility in my mind though. He's had a few matches with the Celtic Warrior, getting buried each time but he's been supporting the fuck out of Daniel Bryan (unfortunately). If this does happen, you can bet on Miz finally moving to Smackdown.

I don't see the point. It makes no sense for the character if he does that. If he's not on the show, if he's going to interfere somewhere, it's going to be in the main event, it's going to be where the impact would be felt the most.

WWE Tag Team Champions Epico and Primo vs. Jimmy & Jey Uso vs. Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd

Dont really care about who wins this one, not a whole lot of heat going into this.

Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show

See, I would give this one to Big Show. I mean, if they really wanted to drag it out, give the title to Show and have them fight over it a bit longer.

Randy Orton vs. Kane

Kane's gonna eat an RKO for about 5 minutes. Although, I could see it going the other way, and getting back into Cena having a heel turn storyline.

Triple H vs. The Undertaker

World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus

I could see AJ getting involved against DBD and costing him the match.

Team Teddy (Santino Marella (captain), R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, Zack Ryder, The Great Khali, and Booker T) (with Hornswoggle) vs. Team Johnny (David Otunga (captain), Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, The Miz, and Drew McIntyre) (with Vickie Guerrero)

Kelly Kelly and Maria Menounos vs. Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres

No way will the team of a celebrity guest lose at Wrestlemania. We saw it last year with Snooki, we're seeing it this year with that bitch from Extra. As much as I love Beth Phoenix in all the holes, I dont see her pulling a glam slam on Maria Menounos.

WWE Champion CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

ITS CLOBBERIN TIIIIIME

The Rock vs. John Cena

I would definitely call this for John Cena, but quite frankly, if it's anything less than a hell of a match, it wouldnt matter who won or lost. That being said, this match is going to be amazing and I dont care who wins.

Oh what the heck...I won't be able to see the show till Monday (buddy of mine and I have a tradition to get it, but work schedules mean we can't watch till Monday)...but I'll chime in with some predictions.

WWE Tag Team Champions Epico and Primo vs. Jimmy & Jey Uso vs. Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd

Dark match that won't be dark. I say leave the belts on E and P right now. If they care about the division, have the Uso's get screwed to build a bit of a feud...since they probably don't, why flip the belts, just let them have a bit of a fast paced bout to warm up the crowd.

Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show

Cody should win, Cody needs the win. Show is a guy that's been on the yo yo forever, it'd be a feel good, thank you moment for him to win here. For Cody it would mean something. I think this has been well built, I'd put Cody over here via some screw job and let this feud continue on and Show can have his revenge at some future show. Show can break his "streak" next year or the year after without sacrificing a useful talent k thanx.

Randy Orton vs. Kane

Who cares? This one is to get these guys on the show and somewhat protect Orton. Kane means little and less at this stage. RKO and Orton gets a victory, the end. I'd open with this one honestly.

Triple H vs. The Undertaker

Taker. No other finish makes sense. As far gone as they seem to act at times I just can't wrap my head around the idea that they'd seriously consider H going over him. I think we should get a pretty brutal match since both guys are probably on the once or twice a year plan at this point, so there's no need to worry about getting banged up and not working the next night. You'll get a "will he or won't he?" moment with Michaels teasing if he'll screw Taker, but in the end he'll call it right down the middle. Possibility for a shenanigans after the match or during the finish if WWE strikes the big deal they want...but even if they do, and they do it here, more like to be in the aftermath I'd say. Match of the night candidate if both guys really are ready and up to go.

World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus

I think they go with Sheamus here, and I'm good with that. With Orton breaking down a bit more, Sheamus is the most logical choice to try and fill the slot Edge vacated of "The Man" on SD!. I do think Bryan should be kept strong here and this should be booked as a competitive back and forth, but I think when you're trying to make a guy into the leader of his show, you have to do it when you've got the most eyeballs on the event you do it at. Never gonna have more eyeballs on them then at Mania, so I think the time is ripe for a switch. You could make the case that they should swerve and leave it on Bryan to milk the chase longer (and I wouldn't say you're entirely wrong or it would be a complete disaster if they did), and this is the one match where I think it would be acceptable to defy the expectation and go with a real swerve. But in the end, I think there's more upside to putting it on Sheamus, and maybe flipping it back to Bryan in a couple months or so and then maybe build to ending this feud by SS. End of the day, they need to cement Sheamus as top face for Smackdown! more then anything else

Team Teddy (Santino Marella (captain), R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, Zack Ryder, The Great Khali, and Booker T) (with Hornswoggle) vs. Team Johnny (David Otunga (captain), Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, The Miz, and Drew McIntyre) (with Vickie Guerrero)

I WANT Team Teddy to win and Larengytis to then immediately leave my tv and the feud to end right there...unfortunately the amount of time WWE has put into promoting this thing makes me think that where we see dumb comedy filler, they think this is some brilliant story and an epic idea. Therefore I think Team Johnny will win (especially since they have a WAAAAY more credible team) and we'll get the story of Teddy trying to struggle his way back into power again...psssh.

Kelly Kelly and Maria Menounos vs. Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres

This is one of the worst celebrity crossovers ever...to be honest? I didn't even know this was on the card until like a week or two ago. Menounos apparently has two cracked ribs from DWTS, so either she's just going to tag in to do a move and get the cover, or she isn't working at all...have heard people suggest she could bow out, Kharma could come back as a surprise and Maria can work the corner, I'd like that a hell of a lot better.

WWE Champion CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

I've heard this should absolutely get time. I have enjoyed the build here (minus the bastard thing from last monday, thought that was a bit silly...but they got me back with the way they had Punk just destroy Christian as a proxy). If this gets booked as just a really intense grudge situation with some great wrestling interspersed this could steal the show from the more hyped main events. Probably the biggest reason to buy the show for me. Punk retains because Jericho is in to help him build up.

The Rock vs. John Cena

Should be decent, really don't care. The overhype has killed this for me in a lot of ways. I see Cena either going over clean, or WWE makes that deal and they have a big surprise to mess with the finish. I'm more interested in the aftermath then the actual match at this point. But to be fair, I felt the same way about Hogan/Rock 10 years ago and wound up liking that match a heck of a lot more then I thought I would.

I really don't post here anymore, but I do follow along with WWE still because of my brother. Here are my predictions for Wrestlemania, winner is in bold of course (I'm generally horrible with predictions, so bear with me):

Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus (World Heavyweight Championship)

Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show

Team Teddy vs. Team Johnny

Kane vs. Randy Orton

From what I've read I'd rather skip a few of the matches anyway. Like wtf was up with teh opening match? They couldn't fit enough time for a WORLD TITLE match? They like to bury DB, thats for sure, but this also robs Sheamus of his WM match and does the belt no justice.

I'll wait till later to really discuss it to avoid spoling it for those who haven't seen it or read about it yet.

My opinion? Best mania in the last few years. The only thing that I hated was the DB squash, but too be honest, I had a feeling it was going to happen. The single matches were good, better than what I was expecting to be honest, and I think they made every competitor look strong. Divas match wasn't garbage. The six man tag was probably the second weakest point, I'm not looking forward to seeing more of Laryngitis. Jericho and Punk was a great match full of great spots and awesome reversals at the end, really showed off both men's actual mat talent. Cena and Rock did not disappoint me either.

And of course the hightlight was the Hell in a Cell match. Easily one the best matches I have ever seen and masterpiece in story telling, which sort of what I'm all about when I look for good matches. Telling the story through fighting.

Of course, I split the PPV with my dad, so I might have been more jaded had I paid full price.

OMFGBROCKLESNAR!!!!!!!!!!!! Goddamn, this is arguably the most surprising RAW I've ever seen.

Y'know, even though Laryngitis sounds like he has.....well, laryngitis all the time, he does open up a lot more plotlines than Long does, including the obvious massive revolt angle in the near future. So, in the long run, he actually makes things less stale.

Yet another surprise, I think Brodus has finally gotten his gimmick over. Here we were all worried he'd fail miserably, but the audience has shown otherwise.

Tonight has not failed to impress me.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2012-04-03 11:01:29

Wow. I'll admit I didn't think Lesnar would ever come back to the WWE. So seeing this just suprises the hell out of me. A-Train is also a suprise, though not nearly as big as Brock. I don't follwo UFC or anything so I'm only guessing that Brock is done with all of that? Having him come out and destroy Cena was an awesome move.

I'm glad to see Miz back in the win slot. Let's hope it keeps up.

It makes complete sense as to why 'Tensai's' face was purposedly avoided during all the promos, seeing as the audience immediately recognized him & started chanting "A-TRAIN! A-TRAIN!" the second his face was in full view.

Having both him and Lesnar back takes me back to my early days here in this club, so I have a bit of a nostalgia high with all this.
