Didn't see Vengeance (like I imagine most of the world didn't). Do have some thoughts based on what I read:
Tag title match I have no issue with the result. I like the idea of building AirBoom as a legit team, and it's pretty obvious I think they won't be upended as champs until True Awesome (my name, steal if you like) is ready to get in a program with them (so I'm thinking December). Plus, I'd like to see Ziggler actually defending the title he has more, or hell just throw the thing in a trash can already and let's have done with it.
Didn't like what we saw in the US title match. I was fine with the interference aspect, but Ryder is super over, you shouldn't have a super over babyface getting beaten by an exhausted heel. Not a good way to keep him super over. The company should get over whatever butt hurt they have that they didn't "make" Ryder and just give the fans what they want already. It's not like the US title really means anything anyway. What's the harm in putting it on the guy? Or hell, retire it and let him defend that Internet Championship like Dibiase used to defend the Million Dollar Championship.
Shaemus beats Christian. Good result, good idea. I like Christian, I do. But if all he can aspire to is being a gate keeper for guys like Shaemus to jump to the next level, bless him for doing his job and doing it well.
Orton vs. Rhodes. My first "what...the....FUCK?!" moment of the night. Orton should not be beating Rhodes, not this early. The point is to establish Rhodes. If the idea was Orton beats him and then Rhodes just leaves him for dead tomorrow or Friday, ok, I can live with this a little better. Since theoretically it creates a situation where nobody is talking about Orton beating him, but they'll be talking about the heinous beating Rhodes laid on him. This underscores the bigger problem WWE has with booking heels these days. They are so afraid of a guy having "too much heat" that they put the babyface over them too quickly and kill the heel's heat. Orton is made, Rhodes is on his way up, PUT RHODES OVER ORTON!!! Orton doesn't need to be going over, especially not this early in the feud.
Henry vs. Show was a great finish to a match where frankly nobody expected anything memorable. It also let's them prolong the feud a little bit, and I don't think that's a bad idea since it seems more and more like Sheamus is waiting at WM or some other major show down the road.
Del Rio vs. Cena was good because it accomplished the goal it should. Keep the belt on Del Rio, set up the SS bout, and start getting Cena into whatever holding pattern stuff he'll do as they start to really kick the build to Rock into gear for Mania and the title contender slot goes to a much more deserving personality.
