See, Vince didn't say "if you lose the match" he said "if CM Punk leaves Chicago with the belt" Cena is fired. So they could put MITB in the hands of ADR and do Punk beating Cena, hell, maybe ADR actually even costs Cena the match, then Alberto lays out Punk, cashes in, scores a flash pin and the PPV can go off the air with everything in chaos and the announcers plugging the hell out of RAW and what Vince will say. I think that's the best finish to go with really. The only downside is it'll be 2 years in a row where one briefcase is cashed in at the PPV, which runs the risk of training fans to think they'll get that EVERY year.
Pretty much the same thing I was saying that they could do (Assuming it's ADR that wins, but of course, that's the person it makes the most sense for.) At this point, you might as well let it happen another year in a row because otherwise, the proposed ending of Punk losing straight up is not as exciting.
I hope that the camera shows the expressions of shell shocked little kids if/when ADR cashes in and beats Cena for the title.

Ryder is reminding me more and more of Stevie Richards. Not as a shot, or even a comparison of level of talent, but more due to the schizophrenic crap they tell the talents. They tell guys to pitch ideas, to take whatever they're given and get over...but then if they get over on their own, the company seems to get pissed and refuses to use them. Used to happen to Steve too, where they'd play his matches in company meetings and say "See? Stevie does everything we want the rest of you to do" but then he'd never get booked outside of Heat!
Ryder is over to a good degree with a certain segment of the audience, why not do something with that? How about teaming him and Hawkins back up and making a run at Nexus? Not like those guys are anything I see as anything close to a pushed act.
This is how we do a working-shoots...CM Punk is brilliant.
Why is John Cena involved in this? I thought this actually was topping the prior promo...now John Cena? Ugh...this is typed live as it happens by the way.
Bed, Bath, and Beyond? Really? Oh God...Big foot's diaper? Really?
Punk is absolutely right on there! Not that I tend to agree with bagging on the Yankees, but let's face it, in Boston that'll work.
Oh here we go...fantastic ending! I really think MITB will go down as one of the highest drawing PPV's of the year and CM Punk has once again proven definitively that he is money.
I said it before: Red Sox are the new Yankees.
Brilliant promo. Good tension. Fantastic interaction between Vince and Punk and then Cena came out. Ugh...he really ruined everything. But alright interaction between him and punk so cool.
Best thing about it? A Colt Cobana chant during a live WWE event. Best. Thing. Ever.
So CM punk was good once again but we know that, lets look at the rest of RAW.
You know there is something wrong when you are almost completely ignoring the Tag Team champs. They're about as fun to watch as well David Otunga and Micheal McGillicutty (oh wait)
There was a Divas match?
"Hey guys, lets throw Dolph and Drew under the bus........AGAIN"
The three man tag team match was good, but Del rio hitting everyone with a ladder was even better. Also, I now believe the MITB briefcase is full of spiders.
And of course Punk stole the show once again.
Ok, guys...let's try to enjoy Punk's time on RAW as much as we can, he is leaving soon. :'(
I know that I will miss him dearly.
Too bad Punk's leaving. Hopefully it's only a temporary thing and he comes back, because he's all of a sudden the best mic worker on the show, as well as the show's most entertaining aspect. He and Vince play off each other very well, and Punk could easily stay over as a rebellious element against Vince. I wish Cena hadn't shown up for the promo though. He basically came in and ruined all the fun of it for what I'm guessing was an attempt to teach the younger crowd a lesson about not being selfish. To which I yelled "Shut up Cena! I want to see the inside of Punk's jet!"
I have to say that WWE has been more entertaining in the past few months than when I started watching again. There's been a few decent pushes for guys such as Truth and Riley, a lot of emerging new personalities that are interesting to watch, and I like that Vince is getting out there to be involved in the actual storylines again. I'm guessing Edge leaving has a lot to do with this, but I like the direction I see it going in.

One wonders what the point of having Ryder come out last week to point at them. Maybe teasing the fans with just an appearance while not planning on doing anything.
Kane and Jack Swagger will be the winners of both MITB ladder matches.

Are you...are you actually serious?
I think the RAW MITB is more interesting then SD! apparently. On the SD! side you only really have Sheamus, although I'd like for them to put the briefcase with Cody and do a long build like with Edge and Miz where he is slowly established as credible then cashes in to get that springboard to the belt and that next level. RAW has a few potential candidates. I really like the idea of get the belt from Cena to Punk to capitilize on that angle more. I really actually would like it more if WWE actually can get something done where Punk comes in to RAW and drops the belt Monday to someone (not Cena) because the impact would be so much more (as well as the audience). Not sure if that can happen though. I like the idea though of using this situation though to get that belt to Punk who transitions it to someone else on his way out the door...but looking at that field it becomes problematic because it seems that can only be done with a heel (which is probably a good idea because with Punk out RAW can use a new tippity top heel immediately, and they really should try to turn the negative of losing Punk into the positive of building somebody new). If they AREN'T doing that, then I wonder if it'd be such a bad idea to give the briefcase to Alex Riley and again, long build, and let's see if the kid has what it takes to headline. WWE has GOT to really start taking more risks I think because they can't find the next big thing by sticking to the current route and the current made guys.

Well RAW always had better superstars than SD but they never used them as well. SD is more interesting because the matches are better (for some reason) and the storylines are more interesting. But that set aside I'm going to explain why Kane will win the SD, then I'll explain why Swagger will win the RAW.
Cody Rhodes is about to feud with DiBiase so it's a terrible idea to put him in the main event (I also think DiBiase is about to turn face). The only guys I can really see being the World Heavyweight Champion in the SD MITB match is Kane and Sheamus, more Sheamus than Kane. But if Sheamus won it would be highly predictable. If Kane wins, then Orton (who I think will retain his title that night) will have a great rival in the future.
For RAW I'm going to go by process of elimination. The Miz or Riley won't win, because they are feuding with each other. Evan Bourne is not yet good enough to be a main eventer, as he just came back. R-Truth already got his chance against Cena so I can't see him winning it. Rey Mysterio is going down the tubes, and I don't expect him to come back. I can't see him going for a WWE Championship match at the rate he's been losing. Kofi Kingston, unlikely. He's better off wrestling the earlier matches of the night. The only other people left are Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger, and I'll tell you why I think Swagger will win.
Alberto Del Rio won his #1 contendership match before Punk was reinstated. If he wins the MITB, then what did that previous match mean? Swagger was former ECW Champion and he would be a great rival for John Cena. They don't have a spot for him otherwise, and that sounds like a waste, being that he's main event material.
Of course I could be wrong (and probably will be), but the same are my chances had I chose other people.
CM Punk described John Cena and by extent the city of Bahsten as the New York Yankees and how Bahsten has this underdog mentality full of idiots and losers and arrogant bastards than they are great with all there sports teams and titles. Really, I agree with everything he said about the Sox, the Bruins the Cheaters I mean the Patrioits and the 80 time NBA, most boring sport ever championship Celtics. Blah blah blah, fuck Bahsten...
Oh hai Avie, didn't see you there
still bitter about the Stanley Cup Finals.
Also, excuse the double post, it just occured to me that I haven't said anything about Ring Of Honor's Best In The World ppv. 2 things: It was awesome, and I can not wait for it to come to television and potentially do away with TNA or Impant Wrestling... I'm sorry, Impact Russoling and Sports Entertainment. I feel bad for the X-Division guys... Anyway, I would like to say this to all hte users... please, for the love of god, do not call the athletes in the WWE as "Superstars" and "Divas" call them Wrestlers please... I do not like it when wrestling isn't allowed to be mentioned in the WWE and they opt for bullshit lame, and useless terms like "sports entertainment" and wrestlers are "superstars." I hate it, I hate the fact that sports entertainment takes away from the fucking wrestling and tries to promote a story... though this thing with CM Punk is really captivating... but that's because CM Punk made it captivating really on his own. Bottom line, call the wrestlers what they are, don't add bullshit euphamisms to them. I think it's really disrespectful to the athletes. I mean would you call a Baseball player anything but a baseball player? Why do the same for wrestling & wrestlers?
GQ did an interview with CM Punk and it is really an interesting read. You can see it here.
No matter how they handle the title situation, I'm going to miss Punk. Why is it that the guys I tend to root for end up leaving? First Jericho and now CM Punk. :(
Christian is proving that he can hang with the top guys. I think his work as of late has been outstanding. I just hope that Vince and Co. finally see what they have.

Barrett needs to win the SD! MITB match if he wants to be taken seriously once again.

Different writing team, with a former wrestler as it's head. A former DRAWING wrestler as it's head. I know, crazy right? Having a guy that knows how to make money in wrestling writing wrestling, or at least directing the writing? Crazy!
But that set aside I'm going to explain why Kane will win the SD, then I'll explain why Swagger will win the RAW.
Ok.
Cody Rhodes is about to feud with DiBiase so it's a terrible idea to put him in the main event (I also think DiBiase is about to turn face).
The MITB winner has 1 year to cash in their shot. There is no reason that Cody couldn't win the briefcase and then wait until well into next year to cash in if they so choose. This could also help make the Rhodes/Dibiase feud matter more as it could also be about Ted trying to prove he's more deserving of the briefcase then Cody, maybe even having a match or two where the briefcase is on the line.
I think Kane is on the way out. Kane got a "thank you" run last year where they also tested the waters of how well he might draw as champion. He drew nothing. Kane is not a viable champion and there's no point in wasting all these extra eyeballs they'll get on this show by putting a title shot with somebody who is proven as a non-viable option for the belt.
For RAW I'm going to go by process of elimination. The Miz or Riley won't win, because they are feuding with each other.
Again, 1 year to cash in. Why do you assume the winner is going to have to cash in immediately? History shows a willingness to do long builds with the case and have guys who go almost to the very last day before cashing in.
Evan Bourne is not yet good enough to be a main eventer, as he just came back.
They will NEVER push Evan Bourne as a main eventer. Never. The highest level people are not behind him whatsoever. Bourne might one day be a US Champion or something, but he will never ascend beyond that.
R-Truth already got his chance against Cena so I can't see him winning it.
Plus they have backed off him as a threatening heel in a big way I think. They are killing a really good out of the gate character. You know, like usual.
Rey Mysterio is going down the tubes, and I don't expect him to come back. I can't see him going for a WWE Championship match at the rate he's been losing.
Rey is getting older, breaking down, and his relations with the company have been strained for awhile. I really think Sin Cara is there to be the Rey replacement in the long run.
Kofi Kingston, unlikely. He's better off wrestling the earlier matches of the night.
No momentum whatsoever there. Like Bourne, he's there to do some holy shit spots.
Alberto Del Rio won his #1 contendership match before Punk was reinstated.
That is a good point.
If he wins the MITB, then what did that previous match mean?
Riiiight, because WWE ALWAYS makes sure those sort of matches matter...remember when Cryme Time won that tag title shot and had that great championship match? Oh wait right...THE MATCH NEVER HAPPENED! Seriously, sometimes they just use that shit to fill out TV time.
Swagger was former ECW Champion and he would be a great rival for John Cena. They don't have a spot for him otherwise, and that sounds like a waste, being that he's main event material.
I like Swagger, I really do. I've thought ever since his time in ECW this guy was a future star. He has been badly badly booked though for at least 2 years now. I could see giving him the case to try and rebuild him, but honestly I think they're better off giving him a strong showing, he comes up short, and they start the rebuild afterwards, getting him the US title or something en route to the main event. He needs to be a stronger character I think before you can put any kind of rocket on him.

Boston, full of silly and stupid accents. Dude, I've from Vancouver, I was pissed off that Bahsten gets another championship and our only professional sports Franchise (I am excluding MLS from this because it just got started) gets the shaft and has to wait... And some idiots made it worse by fucking my city up and then Bahsten fucking insults us? Yeah, Bahsten isn't worth it, it's a pile of ass to begin with. Fuck that city.
I can really see ADR cashing in right after the Cena vs Punk bout and walking out as the NEW WWE champion.
Well Duke you were right about Del Rio cashing in the contract, but he didn't win though. Once again, WWE has surprised me, and I am pleased.

Technically Del Rio didn't from what I understand. Punk kicked him before he could hand the case over and the bell never rang. I imagine that will be explained on RAW tomorrow. I really enjoy what I read of this show and the DVD looks like a must buy for me. I also think WWE made the right call in getting Punk to sign on for at least one more day so that if he IS dropping the belt, he drops it on a big big stage, they pop a great rating and they get a few replay buys as well. I am stoked and I really hope we can look back on tonight in a few years and say "this is when they turned the corner into being good again".
