Del rio still has his shot. Bryant has his MITB which rules. Henry won (no real surprise). Randy lost via DQ (again so surprise). But then fucking CM Punk and Cena wrestle forever and it is amazing. The way they built that crowd up they MAY have rioted if Punk lost. MAYBE. But well done WWE. You made a PPV that was entertaining and very interesting. Just took two of the most up in the air matches (with some amazing botched spots and that is a compliment) and a crazy superhero match to do so. I am glad I watched a WWE PPV...that was a long time coming.

How great the crowd was, makes me proud to be from Chicago. Also that new shirt Punk had with the Chicago flag on it...I want.

I think you're going to see a lot of Punk merchandise in the future.

I'll say it now, with nothing other then a hunch born from the extant evidence: I think they worked us all, Punk, Vince, all of 'em. I think he has a deal, I think he's locked in. I think we've all been misled and worked.

Hey, Punk may even drop the belt as soon as tomorrow, but I am going to ENJOY the ride while it lasts.
Cena lost, CENA LOST!!!!!!!!!! >:D

The bell never rang, so ADR never cashed in. It will be very interesting to see what happens on RAW tomorrow. I know that I will be there watching tomorrow. :P

At this point I don't care. It's been excellent.

Here's what I want: Cena is "fired" and goes away for three months before returning to "save the day" and get the belt back which is inevitably going to happen, Punk signs a normal new deal that is nowhere near the huge one he wanted to taunt Vince with how much he could wind him up.

Here's what I think will happen: Cena gets one more chance to get the belt back in a rematch on Raw, and he wins it back. Punk goes off into the sunset for awhile before eventually returning.

HAH! I WAS RIGHT! I WAS FUCKING RIGHT! Even the part cash in part where CM Punk gets the fuck out of town.

I called EVERY match result right. I knew ADR would win the RAW MITB to begin with, but I picked Daniel Bryan Danielson to win despite the possibility of them giving it to Sheamus because Sheamus doesn't need the push and Barrett will do great things, Daniel Bryan is the most ready. I knew Christian would win, but that's cause I usually pick Christian anyway. Kelly Kelly vs Brie was shitty I picked Kelly Kelly because she's better than Brie and I picked Mark Henry over the Big Show, which was a shitty match too because everyone is bored of Show.

But CM Punk is the WWE Champion, guess what IWC? WE FUCKING WIN! Think this has to do with ROH being a potential competitor against WWE? Smarks win!

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2011-07-18 10:19:09

Ok....ok it's the next day and I think our erections have gone down abit, let's talk about the rest of the PPV.

Both MITH matches were fun to watch:

Smackdown: I personally liked this one the most, Sheamus's complete domination at one point was great (he put Sin Cara out of the match in a stretcher, nice touch). Even though Daniel won (this is good and could be fun) Sheamus was the highlight.

RAW: I knew ADR was going to win but it was still a nice match. The part were they where all up on the ladders was very fun. And of course Evan doing Air Bourne off the tallest ladder was neat to.

Ok now the Diva's match.....why is Kelly Kelly being pushed so hard again? you can say it's because she's popular (I guess that's all that really matters) but she has as much wrestling and mic talent as a plank of wood.

Mark Henry vs Big Show: The main purpose of this match was to show that Show is wearing down and that Henry can be a dominant force. I like Show but I really do see him retiring in the near future.

Randy Orton vs Christian: I actually liked this match mostly because Orton went ballistic and destroyed christian. Christian may be the new champ, but I see Orton going back to his good old heel self.

John Cena vs CM Punk: Everything went right and both men put on a great match. I'm also gad to see that Cena didn't allow Vince to screw over Punk. Today should be very interesting.

We all know that Barrett will do great things IF he is given the chance. But will he get it? I don't know. I'd give the MITB briefcase to him so that he could shake off the six-month downward spiral and be remembered as a serious world title contender again. It is obvious that Christian vs Orton will drug on a long time. What will Barrett do? Keep on jobbing to the likes of Jackson? Knowing Vince, that is probably Barrett he will get.
Barrett has what is takes to be a future world champion, but he is not booked as one. Saddly, it is looking less and less likely that he will become one.

I don't think it matters who wins. They're a paper champion and we all know the real WWE Champion is out enjoying a Chicago Cubs game right now.

On another note, whoever wins is going to wind up facing Punk (I'm thinking at Summerslam) to unify the two titles. I am enjoying the show so far and loving that the intrigue keeps on coming and that they have the whole Cena issue to divert away from dealing with anything with Punk directly this week. The only way this gets better is if we find out Punk resigned and is bringing in Colt, Ace, and Luke along with him.

Watching RAW now; thoughts later.

Let's see.........ADR wins the RAW briefcase? Good. Daniel Bryan wins the SD briefcase? Unexpected, and awesome. Christian wins the title by pissing Orton off into a DQ finish? Also awesome.

PUNK BEATS CENA , THEN KICKS ADR OUT COLD, AND WALKS OUT WITH THE TITLE!? FUCK YEEEEEEAAAAH!!!!!!!!!

This is easily the best thing they've let happen since I started watching wrestling.

Btw, I love that he gave a nod to Gallows last week. Many of us feel the exact same way; it was way too soon to just drop him w/o giving him a chance, after he had just successfully shed the Festus thing.

He hasn't even wrestled on-screen yet, and already Curtis is growing on me. The "botched" promo last Friday was his funniest yet.

Slater & Gabriel split up.....that's a shame, as I'm still unsure if Slater can make it on his own yet. We all know Gabriel can - which is probably why he won that night. Problem is, who does that leave for Jey & Jimmy? They haven't looked better than these last 3 weeks, and now they're probably going to get stuck with facing Random Guy & Other Random Guy for a while.

They have my attention. As both a wrestling fan and a Street Fighter fan, I see no downside to this game at all. The only thing that saddens me is that Punk probably won't be in this game, and, being the nerd that he is, I bet he'd LOVE to be in a game like this.

All those people on YT can go fuck themselves with a rusty pipe.

IT IS NOT A DREAM; NO NEED TO PINCH YOURSELF.

I'm sorry, other audience members; I can't join in on your 'Thank you, Vince!' chants, because, frankly, he should've been gone a decade ago. I'm certain Trips can do a gazillion times better than him, no doubt in my mind.

I'm gonna be honest, I thought Hunter was gonna say Vince was getting replaced by Mick Foley...

I either would have groaned, or have had a huge e-rection that would last for days.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, I think Vince McMahon did wonders for this company. Seriously. He was the one who made WWE what it is today, and was in the past. He was the one that made great matches and storylines (or are those the writers, idk lol).

On the negative side, he was the reason for WWE turning PG.

All in all I'm sad to see Vince go. I thought he did a really good job, but what he's been doing for the past couple of years I'm not really happy with. Then again, he might not REALLY be gone for good (you know WWE), but if he is and Triple H is REALLY taking over, then the first thing I want him to do is turn WWE back to PG 14. The blood, the extreme violence...I want it back.

Also I am extremely embarrassed about my predictions for the MITB ladder matches as I was completely wrong and it just shows how much of a dumbass I really am with this shit.

The WWE should not have pushed him so hard to begin with.

If you guys want Vince gone from day to day running of the business, then I think you'll be quite disappointed. Gone as an on air personality, maybe, but I think he's still actually running the business.

Assuming CM Punk ever comes back, though, I'm really looking forward to his interaction with Hunter. Also, here's hoping they use HHH as a way to get rid of the horrible anonymous GM gimmick with minimal fuss or stupid explanations. Seriously, I don't think anyone cares who it is, and they don't know who it is, just get rid of it.

Cara's side of the story is that he denies using roids. He isn't sure why he was suspended but believes it may be because a medication he takes has steroids in it. He's going to have a meeting with Vince about it.

I do know that someone can be prescribed a steroid for medical purposes, only anabolic steroids are illegal, but other kinds are not. If your company has a stated policy of no steroids (and truth be told, I'm not sure if you can even test for KINDS of steroids) then it is indeed possible for somebody to be prescribed something by a doctor that will run them afoul of that rule. But of course it could be Cara is simply covering his ass in Mexico and here, and trying to make a run at damage control.

Also, to compare Cara for a one time pop over steroids vs. Jeff Hardy who has had a loooooong and continuous history of recreational drug use is unfair and more then a little moronic.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

My sentiments exactly. Dude, have you SEEN Daniel Bryan WRESTLE? The whole bullshit of him having 'no charisma' is a myth, he has plenty of charisma, when he was a heel in Ring of Honor, he was awesome and hammed it up. He told the announcer to yell out a different moniker. Such as "The best wrestler in the world" Hell, he yelled it himself, and you got a bit of that when he kicked John Cena's fucking head in.

Daniel Bryan Danielson = Better than you.

DB has talents and decent chrisma, but Sheamus AND Wade Barrett deserved to win the MITB match more than DB to get a second wind in their respective careers.

Don't know about that, but he's being criminally underutilized. He's a great talker, and can be in the main event, but right now with Christian being the champion, they're not going to send another heel after him.

Speaking of which, Orton is supposed to be in a street fight with Kane tonight so I take it that means they're not going to have him drop the belt right away. And I'd rather see him feud with Daniel Bryan now over Orton because the current feud is getting old. Too bad, we might have to go one at least one more PPV before the two of them are done.

Only caught the last hour of SD! tonight but got two very good matches I was happy with. Orton shows a mean streak while staying a face, Kane looks like a bit of a monster again only to be nailed by Mark Henry. I also enjoyed the shit out of the Sheamus/Barrett match, a nice brawl that didn't resolve anything and I thought both guys came out looking good.
