I have seen Alex Riley wrestle for quite a few times. To be honest, he has not impressed me.
Even if the Miz comes out on top by the end of the rivalry, it will not make him look good and he will not get the mometum back for beating a guy like Alex Riley.
The Miz should have fired and destroyed A-R like a little bitch.

After reading the spoilers of this week's SD!, I learnt that Sheamus had become the new No.1 contender for Orton's title.
Didn't them feud against each other on RAW last year? I am pretty sure that they did.
Yes, Vince does not like Christian, I get it. Give Mark Henry a title shot so that I can at least watch a new rivalry.
Not Orton vs Sheamus for 1234567th time! >:O

A-Ri has lots of potential. I don't know if he's a legitimate or bonefied star yet, but he's one of the better prospects of any NXT season. I'm all for giving him lots of rope and seeing what he does with it. You won't know if a guy can succeed unless you let him try.

As for the spoilers, I'll try to discuss that very generally without actually spoiling anything. However if you're afraid you'll still get spoiled, just stop reading my post now until you see the words "Now about Ted and Cody...":

I disagree with your point Duke, respectfully. The challenger in this scenario is a guy that needs to be rebuilt. Even though he's been to the top of the mountain before, he's been kicked back down repeatedly in recent months and they're finally trying to re-establish him on his new home. Taking Orton on shows the audience who only see a guy's credibility in terms of how prominently he's featured and how often he wins and loses, that they need to take him seriously again. Plus, if they're not putting the belt on Christian, and they're not turning him heel, then how many rematches in a row can you honestly give him? He got some rub, he's established as a guy that needs to be taken seriously and can now help to make other stars. I see no issue with the direction at the top as of this week.

Now about Ted and Cody...I really like the idea of putting these guys back together as a team and hopefully WWE will be smart and get Nexus in the ring with them as soon as possible and flip the tag belts. Ted and Cody were a very good team and this is a great opportunity to rebuild Ted, while making he and Cody prominent parts of both shows. If done right, it could be similar to how Miz and Morrison built themselves up with their partnership.

I'm suprised no one has posted this yet. We are going to be seeing a lot less of Kharma due to the fact that she is pregnant. Source

Also, Layla will be out for a while becuase of knee surgery. She tore her ACL and MCL. I hope she has a speedy recovery.

I think Miz and Riley will have a decent few matches with each other. With any luck this will help Rilye along to being someone of interest as well as giving Miz something to do while Cena fueds with someone new for a while.

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately; general laziness.

Wait......Punk wore Macho Man attire? How did I not notice that?

Shame it sounds like Sin Cara botched his OTL match; however, as I just saw, it looks like he finally decided to use a different finisher - one a little more suited to other-sized opponents.

The question with Kharma is, is this angle supposed to be a classic case of "school bully that has no problem taking on people by themselves, but turns coward when ganged up on", or is this the result of her IRL future baby, forcing the angle to switch gears midway?

Y'know, I'm all for Holla's prediction for Cole coming true, but the damage has already been done. I can learn to be a 'Cole Miner' again, but I worry that he's already fucked himself too badly. Btw, I like how he lost - but then again, I like irony. What's more ironic that having the guy whose feet Jerry was forced to kiss decades ago come in & force Cole to kiss Jerry's? I think it couldn't have gone better.

I'm so glad both Swagger & Chavo have shaken off their 'laughing stock' status. Swagger has too much in-ring ability, and Chavo's proving he still has plenty of gas left. Yet more irony in that, since Chavo WAS the one in that stupid eagle suit.......

Many WWE wrestlers have successfully reinvented well-known moves; Big Zeke has successfully reinvented the Torture Rack. Not only that, but he seems to be getting a sizeable pop from the audience, so it means that this face turn IS working better than last time.

Well, I'm not underestimating A-Ri anymore; what he did on Monday has completely changed my opinion on him. Duke & I will have to agree to disagree - Miz is letting A-Ri go over him for a reason, and that is simply that we SHOULD be taking Riley seriously. Good job by Miz.

Runjin is now officially out of the picture, I guess, and Khali is a heel again. For the best, really, since he's been doing nothing substantial for quite a while. Basically the same thing as the Mark Henry situation, but done differently.

For Ron to be possibly put in a feud with Cena speaks volumes about how much good the heel turn is doing for him.

I guess Show is going to be out for a while, for whatever IRL reason. Which leaves Kane to feud with ADR, which is great for the both of them. (Kane does something with himself, and ADR gets a high-profile feud.)

I'm actually glad Otunga & Hennig have the titles. Otunga's last 'run' was cut before it could even get started, and Hennig needs the experience.

Agreeing with avie, here; yes, Sheamus/Orton has already happened, but in this case it's necessary to have it again if we're to ever re-establish him.

SPEAR! SPEAR! SPEAR! BY CHRISTIAN!

At least the match made it look like he could've won.

Kharma SPEAKS on Monday. Which may seem really weird to her former TNA fans. :P

Alright maybe I am the only one who feels this way but I am not sure of opinions on here as I have not been here long but I feel that Cody Rhodes and Brian Danielson put a hell of a show on last show and both should, subsiquently, stopped being used as fodder. They are wasting a lot of good talent on low-level regular job matches on smackdown and raw. It is pathetic. Seriously, why bring in a talent like Brian Danielson if you are not even going to use him to his full potential? Seems dumb to me. Also, The day the WWE starts not pushing people that are mediocre to titles will also be the day that it stops being family friendly again.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2011-05-29 11:57:47

Well Daniel Bryan is simply a good wrestler, his match with Sin Cara a couple of weeks back was excellent and we need more matches like that. Cody Rhodes is also a good wrestler (silly gimmick aside) and I hope they continue o have him in matches, especially with DiBiase who really needs a push.

I get the feeling with the way Cody and Daniel Bryan's match ended that there may be the start of a feud there. Not sure on what basis exactly other than DB saying, "I'm not the best looking guy, but I'll beat you just to shut you up." type of thing.

A few of the moves in the Sin Cara/Chavo match felt very awkward to watch and their chemistry didn't look right. It might be best to have them move on to different opponents if this is how they're going to look. On the plus side, I got to see Cara's other finisher which looks like it could work on a wider variety of people over the backflip off the top rope move he was doing before.

I'd say a Christian heel turn is almost imminent, even though Orton messing with the #1 contender match is a legitimate reason Christian couldn't get the pin and for him being pissed at Orton. If it comes down to that, I'm gonna still support Christian, especially if he starts messing with Orton. I know it'll end up in heartbreak, but oh well. Also I like that Christian is regularly using the Spear. It's a nice tribute to Edge, and I also like how he pulls it out more unpredictably than Edge did.

Now that Orton's settled in too, the revolving meat grinder has begun to spin, and Sheamus is the first on the list. My poor Irish brethren :(

Riley's getting better every week, becoming a fan of his.. I hope they do this feud right.. I'm expecting them to have a ppv match, I don't wanna see A-Ri getting the best of The Miz every week then have Miz destroy Riley at the ppv.. make it interesting.

Also his new theme is pretty awesome.

I was very surprised and actually quite happy that WWE let Kharma explain her current situation.. I was expecting something cheesy like "Kharma has to undergo Therapy and Anger Management for the rest of this year".. but congrats to Kharma and hope everything goes well with her pregnancy. And after hearing Nikki and Brie Bella talk/insult Kharma, I have come to the realization that they have absolutely no charisma or mic skills... none at all.

I've noticed lately, there have been quite a few face and heel turns in WWE lately..
R-Truth turned heel
Mark Henry turned heel
Layla turned face
Tamina turned heel
Great Khali turned heel
Rosa Mendes turned heel (according to house shows)
William Regal turned face (NXT)
JTG turned heel (NXT)
Ezekiel Jackson turned face
Chavo Guerrero turned heel
Alex Riley turned face
and now I guess Kharma's turned face

also looks like a Christian heel turn is just around the corner..
that's quite alot pretty much since the draft

Indeed the heel/face turns are going around like a vast toilet. Some of them are shit...others are piss. Yes that is making this far too...harsh I guess as some of these may work out well but I don't trust the WWE anymore.

I need to see more Sin Cara on SD and I need to see more good wrestlers on RAW...which is hard since the best ones went to Smackdown or will be another Punk/Rey thing going down...although putting Punk, Rey, and on smackdown Cody, Bryan, and Sin Cara as well as DiBiase in a limbo here is a disgrace...not only is the worlds strongest man (possibly the world's worst wrestler) getting a push...but you have Cena and Orton as champs...WOOO WWG! World Wrestling Generitainment! WOOO!

I hope they do something good with this A-Ri and Miz thing...here is to hoping again. And can someone PLEASE just kill this R-Truth gimmick? I like Cody's gimmick a million times over it...then again it always makes me laugh when I hear "At great expense to me...these paper bags!" XD

Technical Double-Post but I found my old account by looking back to like pg 170 on here when I first came in! XD. Wow I was such a teenager.

Oh and I remembered one more thing I had to say! Is it me or should they bring back the Cruiserweight division again? Hell...look at the talent that would be in it! Sin Cara and Rey alone able to be on both shows would be well worth it as well as a good jobber (Borne) and fantastic competition with varied skill sets. I think it would be really exciting and make it able to push small dudes again without them being named Rey.

Raw. Was. Actually. Entertaining. The. Entire. Way. Through.

I approve of the two hours I watched tonight. I approve of all of it.

RTruth opening - Gold on the mic.

Miz/Riley - I find it interesting to see Riley turn face overnight.

Kofi/Ziggler - The US title finally gets some competition, and they had a great match where both guys looked competitive.

Punk/Rey - Very good match and is Punk actually getting a new finisher because that's what it looked like.

Kharma - I was surprised to see her get treated like a face, but I liked the fan reaction to the truth.

Bourne/Swagger - I wanted this to continue from last week and it did. Not only that but they're setting it up like a David and Goliath type thing. Now if only they'll let Evan get some offense in.

Truth/Cena - Truth is my new favorite cartoon style villain. Also loved the way the matched ended, and what Truth did to the "fan" and Little Jimmy.

Oh and it's most likely going to be Cena/Truth in the main event at Capitol Punishment: http://vids.wwe.com/12173/wwecom-exclusi ve-raws-anonymous

Why would you kill the R Truth gimmick when it's giving him so much legitimate heat? I have to imagine Vince is giving him a gold star every week, including this one because my God, every bit of it is far more entertaining than him as a face. Also for those who might have missed his opening segment because of the technical difficulties, WWE has it posted with the correct audio: http://vids.wwe.com/12175/raw-r-truth-tr ashes-a-wwe-mercha

I agree on Cody though. Even though he says the line so slowly, it just works somehow. Hoping for a Daniel Bryan feud there like I said earlier because he also deserves to get some time on TV.

I found Truth's heel turn very entertaining so far. Boy, the dude surely can talk and the fact that he is feuding with Cena tells everyone how amazing his heel run has been. Even though he will not beat Cena, and we all know that Cena needs to warm up a little bit before destroying ADR at Summer Slam, I hope that Truth gets a nice showing at Capital Punishment. He can be hovering around the ME scene like he is once booked right.

Yeah I get what you are saying about the R-Truth thing and if I look at it as a joke it is not too bad...but his cadence on the mic just annoys the hell out of me. It is like his brain is a stream engine building up power slowly before it can get started on every sentence he says. But if he fixed that and made his stuff a little bit more non-sequitur than it is already then he will be very entertaining as a gimmick. I will say the little Jimmy thing is making my laugh. Makes me think of the old guy characters that call everyone Billy.

YMMV
I want Uncle Ronnie to be announced the RAW GM, book a Sandwich on a Pole Match between Sin Cara and Evan Bourne, Evan refuses to compete because the sandwich doesn't have any mayo, then Ronnie comes out, kills Sin Cara, and eats the sandwich.

He'll also fire the crowd, Vinny Mac, and the entire WWE Roster.

And all future matches will have required ten minute water breaks.

See if he came out and said that and did that...I would be very happy with the gimmick. But I do agree that it is a million times better than him rapping...still don't like his wrestling.

So, Kharma's kayfabe breakdown was just to lead to the IRL pregnancy explanation? Well played, WWE; for once, you didn't take the usual stupid route & come up with some outlandish kayfabe reasoning.

I love the fact that she pulled no punches whatsoever with the crowd, being very blunt about her struggle to get her foot in the door. The audience realized that this was an IRL situation, and she gained the fans' respect almost instantly. I'm a little shocked that she said that JR........said what he said; that stands to hurt his rep, which, given said rep, you'd think Vince & co. would try to edit out of the broadcast or something. I'm also amused at how she mentioned all the other 'dank' places she'd worked at before on her way there - which obviously includes TNA, lol. (Oh, wait, it's just called Impact Wrestling now, for some reason......yeah.) Anyway, I wish her the best.

Wait, someone doesn't like Ron's gimmick? Meh, that's ok, since that just means you're a 'Lil' Jimmy', and thus he doesn't give a fuck about you anyway. :P Holla summed it up very nicely.

In speaking of that, it was funny how Lawler & Cole suggested that the technical difficulties were his fault. Well, he could've very easily kicked over a few wires in his loony rampage. I'm assuming that that 'fan' (& his son) were either one of those 'fans for hire', or if they just paid a regular fan at the door to go along with it.

Ah, Cole still apparently hasn't quite learned his lesson yet. I just hope he doesn't end up in another feud.......NOT AGAIN, PLEASE!

Finally, they're giving Bourne something to do other than being cannon fodder. As long as it keeps him out of jobbing duties for a while, I'm all for it.

I hope Ziggler gets the US Title; his last title win was not really even a win, so giving him a LEGITIMATE run with something would be great.

It's a good continuation of the Orton/Christian fued by turing Christian heel. That way the crowd isn't nearly as divided when they meet again. Granted Christian has every right to be pissed at Orton, so hitting him with the belt makes perfect sense to me.

It was good to see Ted in a competitive match. It reminds us that he can in fact wrestle and perform. It's weird how a few months ago we though it would be a bad idea to put Ted and cody back together, but it seems to be working ok thus far. We'll have to see where it goes, but I just hope Cody doesn't lose any steam with how his character is going and Ted gets a much needed turn around.

I think Christian could do well with this heel turn, I think the best heels tend to follow the Dusty Rhodes formula: They do not have to be completely justified in their actions, they just need to BELIEVE they're justified. But to me it goes one step further and the best pushes have been the heels that have the audience turn on them when they were justified in what they were doing to the babyface the fans like more. Those guys are always able to turn it up because they're truthing when they say "wait a minute, I'm not the bad guy here...YOU'RE the bad guy here!"

Still and all, I'd like to see this become more of a case where Christian plays this more like "I didn't turn my back on the fans or anybody really...Randy fucked me over, he got his receipt, now I'm ready to go back to just chasing the belt because that's all I really want", and he'll be a tweener.

I think Christian turning heel is a good move
he was a heel for the majority of his first run in WWE and we know he's good at it.. I didn't want Christian to turn heel a couple of months ago because I wanted to see E&C together again, but now with Edge out of the picture, I've been hoping Christian would be turning heel soon.

I'm hoping this will still keep him in the title picture for a long, long time.
