I watched RAW today, a little late I know, that is what I get for living in Australia.

It was amazing, I knew the rock was coming out and I was still on the edge of my seat when they stadium went black. It was great television, it really got the emotions going.

The Rock is the greatest of all time, so good to have him back. Not having to watch The Toothfairy to get my fix.

Glad to see The Rock back. I also thought his promo pointed out everything that is wrong with the company right now in terms of just not having ANYBODY on the face side that can hold the crowd in the palm of their hand like that. It also pointed out everything that's wrong with John Cena as a character by comparison of what he did earlier on the broadcast, and then Rock's promo.

The Cena character can certainly have more bite then it does (Cena has proven he's capable of it in the past) without sacrificing the PG nature of the product. WWE needs to learn that, and quickly. Because the guy who looks like he'll probably be a part-time attraction just made their full-time tippity top babyface look amazingly inferior by comparison.

Because I'll give you SD!, but for the company in general? I believe their top heel right now is Punk. Which is why it sticks in my craw a bit he isn't in the title match, but not over much because Miz needs that belt more then Punk does right now.

Nice, Vickie; throw your boyfriend under a bus to save your own ass.

We go from Edge fired, to Edge re-hired, to DOLPH - not Vickie - FIRED, all in one night. And, for once, Teddy proved he has balls. NOW YOU CAN FEEL DAT, BITC......er, PLAYA!!!

Happy 600, SD!

I pray they have a real good plan for Ziggler because as much as I felt he needed to get away from Vicki...this did him no favors. They fucked him good and hard here and really cut his balls off then threw him out the door...bad bad stuff unless the follow up is tremendous.

I think she at least gets the most heat with her line. Punk gets it by default because he's feuding with the companies top face, but I always hear a smattering of cheers for Punk. I don't think I've ever heard anyone cheer for Vicki.

Also had a little WWE experience last night when me and some friends were watching Smackdown and drinking and my one friend made us turn it off because Vicki was on TV and she was making him sick.

No surprises like I was hoping for, well except for Christian coming back. Still not a bad PPV, lot of solid spots that kept the show strong. I've always wanted to see someone climb on the ceiling of the chamber, so that was by far my favorite spot of the night. The low point would have to be R-Truth only being in the match for about two minutes though.

Right now the biggest drawing thing for the biggest show of the year is a guy who won't wrestle. I don't care that it's The Rock and it doesn't necessarily matter, but I just find it problematic in the extreme when the "superbowl of wrestling" is in a position to draw solely on a non-wrestling performer. I would have personally LOVED to see Miz vs. Morrison, but I can't blame WWE even a little for deciding that the best way to go here was the established star chasing the young heel champion.

I also like that WWE has five potential challengers that can and will chase coming out of Mania no matter the outcome (Punk, Cena, Miz, Morrison, Orton). If booked properly we could wind up with some really good combinations of all of them having matches well into next year. Sadly, they'll probably blow it in some way...like endless four way bouts and such...but still, the RAW title picture looks very very healthy and interesting right now. I also like that Miz has finally gotten a clean pin in a title defense.

I also think we could have some interesting undercard action now that The Korre possess the tag titles. Nexus have looked green and not terribly impressive but I think even though both groups are heels the fans could get behind a feud in which the two groups try to capture the tag titles from each other. This would also be a good way for all involved to get more ring time in a low pressure situation where they would not be asked to carry a show, but could still look "important".

Where's the logic in that? Infact, when Miz dropped the US Title to DBD he was going full heel.

By the way, even though The Miz has to face Superman in Wrestlemania, I predict the Miz will remain WWE Champion.

Win.

Well.. That didn't last long huh?

I'll admit that I was a bit happy to hear Cena rap again as it was a good nod to how he started. He's not the best I've heard but whatever. As Avie pointed out it isn't a good sign that the biggest hype for Mania is a guy who isn't wrestling. Granted I'll be happy to see The Rock there but I want action. Anhd while I would have loved to have Miz vs. Morrison at least we know Miz and Cena can have a good match together.

The continued hype of ADR is going great. Each week they make him seem like a very real threat to Edge and I can't wait to see that match.

Taker vs. HHH should also be good. I'm looking forward to this match too.

LAWLER VS. COLE!? PLEEZ.

With that earlier talk about who's the top heel in the WWE right now, everybody seems to forget that Cole is really the top heel right now. Who's heard anyone cheer for Cole since he's taken the gigantic douche persona? NO ONE. His boos are THUNDEROUS. So, that alone will make this match, oddly enough, a major draw for WM this year.

For shit's sake, Cole brought Lawler's recently deceased mom into it! You can't get much more heel than that.

So, that confirms that rumor: Trips vs. Taker is happening. I figured it was just indeed a rumor, but when that good ol' Motorhead music started playing, it became obvious. I like how Taker initially laughed the idea off, heh. TEASE.

I really don't like how the main event went, but maybe that's just me. It was stupid to even put Miz & Cena in that match to begin with.

I heard Kelly Kelly mentioned; so I guess Teddy 're-hired' her? Drew better be kissing his ass on Friday. Here's hoping she keeps the Spear; she does it quite well, and it makes her look just a little more believable in the ring.

The remark about Lawler's mother was just low.. even for Michael Cole's sake
Just such a bad way to put someone over as a heel.. I felt sorry for Lawler for having to go through this..

Though it wasn't half as bad as the infamous "eddie's in hell" promo from 2006..

Cena rapping again definately won back some older fans..
It was good to see him just once throw all the cheesy PG lines that are fed to him by creative out the window and let him talk trash again like the good old days.

Good Ol' Trips, already back to his old ways.. burying someone else's return with his own.. but I seriously dug that promo, you know it's a match to look forward to when the crowd went fucking crazy for a promo where nobody even spoke.

I was glad that Corre won back the tag belts.. Why do they always have Cena win the tag belts with a guy he's in a feud with?.. I swear it's happened like 3 times now..

also, Trish Stratus is a trainer for the upcoming Tough Enough.. I'm psyched for it
I saw her last night on EC.. she botched her Stratusphere move on the turnbuckle.. but I can turn a blind eye on it just this once, because cmon.. it's Trish!

Cole really went low tonight and that will fuel the claims that King Vs. Cole needs to happen (maybe even with a horribly cheesy, yet hilarious montage of Cole being trained/yelled at/pushed around by Miz and Riley) And alas, every now and then I see some Cole Miner signs in the stands. I have yet to see the same for Vicki.

The rest of Raw was mostly solid.

First thing I noticed was that Morrison and Punk can sell injuries very well and I hope they have some kind of rivalry down the line. I also almost forgot why Punk had a problem with Orton. Good thing Punk brought that part back up because the transition from Cena to Orton actually was very smooth. Just needed a reminder.

Sheamus' future is looking bleak. He didn't sell being hurt the night after EC and then loses to MARK FRICKIN HENRY and I swear I heard him say "fuck your girlfriend" to Daniel Bryan in the next scene on live TV. Sheamus also wasn't involved in the return of HHH even though he was the one who took HHH out. It just seems to be a bad sign when creative would completely ignore a potential storyline of HHH's revenge against Sheamus, but then again, they knew people would buy more WM views with "UNDERTAKER VS HHH OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOGMGOGMGOGM!" over HHH vs. Sheamus.

I was also surprised that Undertaker chose this night to return when we were being bombarded with Sting ads for the past few weeks ;) But I'm very glad that HHH is also back, albeit to challenge the Undertaker for no reason other than to break the streak. Seems a bit forced to do that.

Cena/Miz vs Corre was ok. I was amazed at how Miz was getting cheers simply for being on Cena's team. It was like people started thinking "He can change! He can be a good guy!" only for that thought to end with the finishing move of the match. Nicely played Miz. Nicely played.

Well that Cole interview was......wow.

I like how Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater actually showed some strength in the ring, they normally seem to get tossed around.

Taker vs HHH makes sense, hope they build it up over time.

Not much else to talk about.

I thought RAW was a pretty good show last night.

I liked that Punk and Morrison were selling the Chamber (but hated that nobody else was, it really is a case where everybody should be selling the damage from these super dangerous matches or else it looks like so much crap when WWE says "oh this could end careers and shorten lives and blah blah").

I enjoyed that Cena went a bit "PG-13" with his rapping last night. Honestly WWE has to realize that his pandering promos the last few years have been shit and the ONLY reason that John Cena is not more over is because he and the company (because fuck it, Cena could bitch and lobby and get some better material to work with) make him into such a toolshed nerd. He's like a bad parody of Hogan and only little kids could possibly enjoy that character. Cena needs to have more bite, like he did last night if they really want people to take him seriously.

Taker and H's face off was great. Sometimes simple segments are the best segments.

Hated the main event, hated it hated it hated it. How the FUCK do they expect Corre to make money with Big Show and what not when you put them into situations like last night where they get shown to be inferior TWICE within 10 minutes (seriously Wendy's, why the FUCK did you just let King Grizzlebeard get pinned like that?) weak weak stuff that really took a good show and finished it lamely.

Also from what I'm hearing Lawler was probably cool with his mom being brought into things (since they didn't go too, too, sleazy with it). Still though, I question exactly what and how we're going to get here, and honestly does anybody REALLY want to pay close 60 dollars for a show where a complete non-wrestler is just going to be running away from Jerry Lawler for 10 minutes? I'm thinking somehow they'll rope Reily in, Lawler beats him, then punches Michael Cole the hell out.
