Seriously though that was a great match. That must of sucked for Punk with his head busted open already. I think the meds legit stopped the match because they didn't want a bleeding scalp to get shaved. Punk didn't look to happy to halt the match either, when the fans started the boring chant he didn't waste a second to get it started again. Props to the guy all the way. Or maybe I'm wrong and it was just a planned spot. I would have like to see him keep his hair.

The bleeding spot was NOT a called spot. WWE doesn't allow blood anymore hence the stoppage, their worried about Linda's opponents using it against her. I don't believe they changed the finish over it either, the only match that obviously had a finish changed was Edge vs. Orton.

I wasn't aware that they changed the to a no blood policy, had I known I wouldn't have been as surprised obviously. So is Orton legit injured then? Or did they change the finish for another reason.

I enjoyed the show. I was a little disappointed with the Swagger/Show match but the rest of the show made up for that. Also someone fucked up and forgot to put the mirror by the ring. I think the tag match was my favorite of the night, I can't recall the last time I saw a tag match that good. I just knew the cars were going to be used some how in the I Quit match. I wonder what they will do with Batista now.

Punk totally looked like Jesus being crucified when he got handcuffed. There I said it.

They're reporting Orton has a seperated shoulder hence the awkward finish to what was reported to me as something that was on it's way to being a bad match (and when the fuck was the last time Edge had a bad match?)

This was Batista's last night, what an absolute "fuck you" that finish was on a guy who, love him or not, made them money and I know got them fans. Sad finish up to a heel run that really saw Batista coming into his own.

Punk is going to look weird with no hair. He might end up looking even more creepy than usual.

So that was it for Batista? Is he leaving the company?

Sucks that Orton got hurt. I think their original fear was that he broke his arm. A separated shoulder still sucks but at least nothing got broken.

So we should be finding out who the new GM is tonight. Who do you think it will be?

Rumors are saying Abraham Washington could be filling the role as GM on RAW... lame.
And it might happen, seeing as he was GM on FCW..

I wonder if Punk will still keep the beard despite now a cue ball haha
I watched a bit of Over the Limit, I don't really know why Kane came out to help Rey after the match.. I would of thought that it'd be MVP seeing as he's been in sort of a mini feud with the SES lately.

Finished last week's RAW finally. Those 'fake commercials' were hilarious; ironically, they were better than 90% of the REGULAR RAW skits in recent years. And is Cole turning heel, or did RAW temporarily get sucked into The Twilight Zone?

So Punk is BALD........I figured there'd be some screwy finish that'd keep his hair, but still have Rey win........guess not. Even with a legit BUSTED HEAD.......I hope Rey was careful with those clippers. >_<

Wait, that was Batista's last night? Really? Didn't think it was gonna be this soon. Would it have killed them to put him over Cena on his last night? Although, if you think about it, having him just forfeit the title afterward (for whatever reason) after ruining Cena's gimmick probably wouldn't be the best idea, they could've done something better than what sounds like having taken a shit on Batista's career on his way out.

Sucks about Orton; he was actually pulling off the face-tweener run so well.

Plus they got the U.S. Title off him and R-Truth ended up getting it. On one hand I think Miz did a great job with the title and it helped him a lot. onthe other hand I like R-Truth as well so it's nice to see him with some gold.

F4WOnline.com is reporting that WWE made the decision to have CM Punk lose to Rey Mysterio at Sunday's PPV because they wanted to wrap up the angle as Mysterio is expected to take some time off after tomorrow's Smackdown taping. At this point, it's unknown whether or not Mysterio is taking an extended hiatus from WWE to have knee surgery performed, or if he's just taking a short break to spend some time with his family and heel up any nagging injuries.

Should I not have posted that? Sorry bout that.

The Cole/Daniel Bryan storyline is interesting. I mean we've seen wrestlers get into it with announcers before but this one seems to have more juice than usual. Add in the fact that this is a lead in for Bryan to fued with the Miz and you have a decent storyline going.

I wonder if the eliminated dudes from NXT will end up on the other shows sometime? Otherwise what was the point?

You do, and hopefully it goes to the big show after this next week here when NXT limps to it's conclusion.

I've heard WWE trademarked all the names so...I'd imagine they've at least got an eye towards continuing something somewhere with the guys who were on this show.

But, did anyone notice that Punk looked a little...sad...when they were treating his head wound? A little...depressed. Then pissed. VERY FUCKING PISSED.
*ahem*
So I guess Randy'll be out for a little while, huh? Just when he was taking his face turn...oh yeah, and he smiled for the first time in years on one RAW.

Punk is very dedicated to his craft and he's old school enough that he never wants to go out and have a bad match. He DAMN sure doesn't want someone else making his match bad, he's bled before and he'll bleed again but the WWE strictures against blood were killing his match and he knew it and that's why he was pissed. Also why he got right back in there to try and save the thing. A shame the feud is now over but we'll see what's going to be going down for The Second City Saint going forward.

So I guess Randy'll be out for a little while, huh? Just when he was taking his face turn...oh yeah, and he smiled for the first time in years on one RAW.

I guess not too long though as he was booked in the Fatal Four Way so I'm thinking he and the company must have gotten good news on the shoulder or else why put him in?

Hey guys, if any of you like to watch shoot interviews, I just watched the Brian Kendrick and Paul London shoot interview. It's definately worth a watch, they get a little off topic at times (they smoked weed at the start of the interview... i know right lol) but it's definately the most entertaining shoot interview i've ever seen!

Also, I learnt that London cannot hold his liquor as well as Kendrick can hahaha.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that original creative plans called for WWE Smackdown star Drew McIntyre to continue his undefeated streak all the way until he received a run with the World Title. However, it's now being reported that McIntyre has fallen out of favor with several WWE officials as he is said to be a high maintenance performer and he is not getting over as a heel the way WWE had initially hoped. As a result of this, the World Title run went to Jack Swagger instead of McIntyre.

I wonder how true that is? Sure he just lost the IC title, but his "chosen one" storyline is still going strong. As far as his heel heat, the crowd seems to be reacting well. I wonder what they consider high maintenance?

SD was good last night. Punk looked weird in that mask. I'm glad he's in the fatal four way. It will be interesting to see how Undertaker will be used. Swagger is going to have a tough time with this one.

I know I haven't heard it and I kind of feel like this is a case of the Observer talking to the wrong people and reporting it because they trust the source and it'll get hits. Like you said, to me the McIntyre story seems to be going strong. I don't see WWE ever putting the title on a guy very quickly (like they would have had to do with McIntyre here) because of the fear that they'd wind up with another Lesnar. I think Swagger is more easily explained as he was a guy they see something in, they were going to gut SD! anyway because MyNetwork is a dead entity and until the move to SyFy it doesn't make a lot of sense to put tons of effort into a lame duck show. Plus they have a MITB PPV in July so they would want the Mania case out of the way for the sake of that PPV. So when you look at all those factors, it makes a lot of sense for them to kind of be like "well, let's put it on Swagger and see if we can rebuild the guy and if he could work at that level" and save anything with McIntyre for later.

Now if only they'd actually TRY and rebuild Swagger...

Who else thinks that Punk will look really unfamiliar when he finally takes the luchador mask off? It's gonna be very, very weird. I actually get butterflies whenever I see a picture of him in that mask. HE EFFING SCARES ME.
...
Good acting.
Oh, and if any of you have a Wikipedia account, could you change his photo for me? I could send you a good one. It just irks me whenever I sta-- look up CM Punk, I have to see, "No free image Do you own and image? If so, please click here".
Is it getting annoying that I'm only talking about Punk? Should I go back to talking about Jeff Hardy?

NO PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NO!!

...
In The Wrestler, they said that if Jeff doesn't go to jail, he'll probably be right back in WWE. I guess he doesn't wanna be in a failing business(TNA).
*sigh*
I miss Jeff. And I don't want to raise TNA's ratings by watching him.
Which brings me to another thing; why doesn't WWE just buy TNA? They did it with WCW, they did it with ECW, why not do it with TNA? Oh god. That sounded wrong. But...yeah. Why not?

That's a big assumption that WWE is going to want him back at this time. Jeff won't be back in WWE AT LEAST until his legal problems clear and obviously he's going to have to pass wellness. Also I could see Linda's bid for Senate impacting his chances as well since now that she is the Republican Nom WWE and everything to do with it will be scrutinized harder then ever as a way to try and throw mud onto her.

There's too many if's for me right now to consider his re-signing at anytime in the near future a lock.

Which brings me to another thing; why doesn't WWE just buy TNA? They did it with WCW, they did it with ECW, why not do it with TNA? Oh god. That sounded wrong. But...yeah. Why not?

Because TNA won't sell. You have to remember that with WCW they were owned by an entity that did not want them. Time Warner wanted to sell them as a way of getting rid of a property that hemorraghed money and that TBS and TNT no longer wanted. The being dropped from the cable stations is what killed Eric Bischoff's attempts to buy it (something that was actually being written up as a lock for almost a month solid until the tv cancellations and then suddenly the deal fell through in a matter of hours). Without TV WWE was free to swoop in and make an offer (they had tried before but they're contract with Viacom at the time forbid them from having product on any non-Viacom channel and when they made the initial offer the TV was still going to be through the estalished homes, meaning WWE had to withdrawal so they wouldn't violate the Viacom deal). Nobody else had a use for spending any substantial money for WCW without TV so WWE got the property (there's also been speculation that a friendly relationship between WCW president Brad Siegel and a WWE executive may have helped WWE get the property so cheap).

With ECW? Bankruptcy. Paul Heyman had been running that company on borrowed money, his own inheritance, and just whatever finance he could cobble together for years. There's a lot of people that wanted to be in denial at the end, both in the company and outside of it. But anybody who payed attention from 1999 through 2000 knew this was definitely looking like the last ride. I remember going to what became the second to last PPV in NY and the merch table was like 4 shirts as I recall...and not even like major names. So definitely you could tell something was up. But yeah, ECW was in bankruptcy and out of business so all WWE really did was buy what was left of value: The video library and the trademarks.

TNA may be hurting, but it's solidly funded by The Carter Family, has an enthusiastic network partner in Spike as well. So really WWE can't buy TNA unless the Carter family gets tired of the project and looks to sell.

That's cool that Bourne got the pin last night. Hopefully he won't go back to jobber inext week, but unfortunately that seems likely.

So what happened to Morrison? I haven't seen him on Raw at all. Has he been on Superstars at all? Why draft him to Raw if you aren't going to use him?

I hope not because it's imperative for WWE to realize the future is now and there's no quick fixes. They seem to have found their bottom now and it's time to really start building people up and seeing who can take the ball for you going forward. But yeah, I'm not going to declare it as "corner turned" until they maintain that direction for more then a week or two.

Morrison is currently out with some sort of ankle injury I've heard, it could be a big reason why he's a pro for NXT season 2.

My thoughts on the new rookies

Husky Harris
Haha the names funny because he's fat.. Son of Mike Rotunda aka I.R.S.. Anyway, he has Cody Rhodes as his Pro, would of been cooler if DiBiase were his Pro.. Money Inc. 2.0!

Eli Cottonwood
Don't really know much about this dude, he's a big guy so I imagine he isn't too great in the ring, but then again never seen him wrestle. His mentor is John Morrison.. can't imagine he'll be teaching the big guy much of his moves.

Percy Watson
aka Buff Eddie Murphy.. seems like a bit of a copy of Orlando Jordan on TNA.. gotta admit though, the "oh yeeah!" at the end of his introduction made me laugh. His rookie is MVP.

Titus O'Neil
Meet your first elimination! sorry mate, but after seeing how Tarver turned out wiht Carlito as his pro, it's not looking good for his man.. Woo Woo Woo.. I know it.

Kaval
aka Low Ki from TNA.. good wrestler, and i like the name Kaval better than Low Ki. He sure as hell is gonna sound intimidating walking to the ring with "yo not e-nough for meeeee!" playing.

Lucky Cannon
With Mark Henry as his pro. Yeah, talk about luck.. the guy seems bland to me.. I have a feeling this will be "the darren young" of NXT 2.. under the radar.

Michael McGullicutty
What an awful name.. and I'm guessing that DiBiase's stable has now been put on hold.. Son of Mr. Perfect and he's got Kofi Kingston as his pro.. not bad.

Alex Riley
Basically Miz 2.0 in a letterman jacket.. and how appropriate because Miz is his pro. has personality and from what I hear can wrestle too.. This guy will go far.. hell, he may even win.. but I'm not deciding my pick until I get to see all of them wrestle.

Anyway
On NXT, did anyone notice that Punk was awesome? He was orange. He looked like an Oompa Loompa. I MEAN IT
And, he was all like, "I AM DONE WITH NXT PEACE!!" and just walked out. You gotta admit, Punk IS awesome. AN AWESOME OOMPA LOOMPA!
PEACE

Alrighty, lots o' shit happening between last week's SD & this week's RAW, so I may need to break this up into two posts.........OMFGDBLPOST!!!!! Buuuut, before I go further, I've been wanting to say this ever since I got done watching RAW today:

Ahem.....

'No one is quite sure what happened, but some say,
That Michael Cole's balls grew three sizes that day.'

I couldn't resist. :P

In all seriousness, I like where they're going with this; after years of abuse (both verbal & physical) & being the butt for everyone's jokes, Cole has finally basically said "Fuck it. I know I'm not a wrestler, but I'm tired of this bullshit." For years, every time I've seen Cole get put through hell for whatever reason, esp. when he was stuck with JBL, I wanted him to just snap & go apeshit on somebody. Sure, he does say a lot of crap worthy of a facepalm, but he isn't nearly as deserving of the shit he's been through as, say, Stryker. Now it's happening, and it actually puts a smile on my face.

I wasn't expecting Vince to return so soon..........or be that 'nice' to the person who stomped on his nads so many times that I lost count. Given Bret's apparently on friendly terms with Teddy Long, and given what hell Teddy's been put through recently (more on that when I get to SD), my expectations of a mutiny against Vince just went way up.

Kozlov finally turned face. Maybe the notion of getting Eve in his pants is still there in his mind. Ah, Santino.....

Funny, one of you brought up Rikishi's sons a while ago, and lo & behold, there they are, along with Superfly's daughter. I expect one fucking colossal feud between them & The Harts. Finally, the Tag Team Division is picking back up again with SOLID tag teams.

One note on the Uso Bros., though - I never in a million years would've guessed they were Rikishi's boys if I hadn't already figured it out right when Bret said their last name (albeit his accent screwing it up slightly). Hell, even The Rock at least looks a little Samoan, but these two both look AND sound more like Cryme Tyme 2.0.........ok, maybe not that far, but close. They're right - they're not the typical Samoans, that's for sure.

I'm glad Ron has a title around his waist. Hey, TNA, you see that? THAT'S WHAT'S UP!!!!!! The lesson here, kids: Just because TNA can elevate the careers of those who failed in the WWE, doesn't mean it can't happen in the reverse. Poor Jericho looked like he was about to cry like a 2-year-old for a second when he countered The Walls the way he did.

Bourne actually went over someone. FINALLY. Come on, Rey Mysterio isn't going to be there forever, and you have the perfect guy to pass the torch on to, SO FUCKING DO IT, FOR SHIT'S SAKE.

Ashton did a good job hosting. Granted, most of it was spent screwing with Ryder (and reminding everyone just how nasty Alicia's Scissor Kick is), but he did it well.

Ok, I'll post again tomorrow; I'm gettin' a little tired.

Bourne going over Edge was more of a feel good moment than a push to come. As much as we like the dude, he'll never get a consistent push. I hope I'm wrong though.

Truth and Jericho seem to work well together. If R-Truth keeps putting on quality matches like that I'm sure things will keep going in his favor. I do like the idea of him having some gold too.

I still haven't seen this new tag team yet, I'm working off of reading the results. So Rikishi's sons are in WWE now huh? Cool.
