Wait.......I thought Rey Mysterio was going in for knee surgery.......he COULDN'T have possibly been in and out of there that fast to be having a Street Fight match next week.
From what I understand, Rey is basically gambling to get the big PPV paydays and then get the surgery after. It's a pretty dumb move considering the permanent damage he could do to himself, but given this is like the 15th time he's been out, and the problems with his suspension...maybe he thinks the writing might be on the wall or rapidly getting there.
I'm glad McIntyre's proving himself in the ring; if he's going to get a push like he has, he needs to be worth said push. That match with Morrison was a very good start.
I agree, and this to me points out again what WWE can do when they actually get behind a young talent and allow him to show his stuff. I don't think anybody is advocating the idea of "push young talents right now just cause they're young and have them kill the veterans" but honestly? You got some promising guys on that roster and you can't tell me the office can't find more guys like McIntyre that they could be like "I like this one, let's really give him a shot and see what he can do". The company is in the doldrums right now, it's time to start experimenting and if the experiments fail you pull the plug and move on.
Is it just me (and probably Maraquan), or were some of those moments between Punk & Gallows rather creepy? I swear, I saw Punk kiss Gallows' bald head......... o_O
I really hope this leads to Punk forming some kind of stable with one or two more underused talents he can "convert" to his cause. Punk works very well in that sort of a role much like Raven did in ECW, and when it ultimately breaks up it can give the guys a good foil to turn babyface on. Can't be worse then Legacy....
DAMN.......Taker's been getting pwned...... >_< *gets shot by avie*
It's just logical. If Taker is built in these situations as an unstoppable monster then where is the need to buy it? If Taker was the heel champion it would make sense...but he's the face. I'm supposed to feel like Batista or any challenger has a chance at beating him, so I got no issue with the booking so far. I will have an issue if it's Batista who takes the belt though...I'd rather see Taker dropping it at the Rumble or No Way Out to somebody like Punk or another guy who needs the belt to "break through". I've heard some rumblings of what the Taker Mania plan is...and it excites me, but I think it's a waste of a title match if you give Taker the opponent they're thinking of giving him. That will draw all by itself.
R.I.P The Samoan Bulldozer
O_O
Damn..........I hate seeing crap like this......
I had to break it to my friend Jason today. He has no internet, but at least I'm doing ok so that when I mentioned my upcoming surgery to him that went over ok, but yeah, not fun to tell him somebody I do believe he had dealings with, and worked with many years ago as he went through his Uncle Afa's promotion has passed away so young. Again, it's so frustrating to see these guys making such terrible personal decisions and not taking into account what they might be doing to those they leave behind.
Please, WWE, don't overdo this if you plan on having Punk make a comment on this, I BEG YOU.
I see no reason for Punk to comment on this because a) can't prove it's drug related just yet and b) it'd be absolutely classless. With Jeff you could make the point that they invested in him and he potentially burned them and the best thing they could do was condemn him at the time and move away from him. The Eddie Fatu situation doesn't compare and I would be personally very upset with all involved if anything is mentioned beyond a nice little tribute.
Where is Jesse/Slam Master J, anyway? He's vanished...
Hence why I said he should be pushing for anything he can to get some TV time. I think he's a victim of Cryme Tyme falling out of favor thanks to Shad's "illness" a few weeks back.
