WWE issued the following statement today:

Statement on Linda McMahon and the United States Senate

Linda McMahon, CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, is considering a run for the United States Senate representing the state of Connecticut. Should she decide to run, Linda would step down as CEO, and Vince McMahon would assume the duties of CEO in addition to his current position as WWE Chairman.

weird.

I think they are keeping Eugene are a trainer. It just seems weird to hire a guy then fire him a little while later.

SD was great last night. Match of the night goes to Morrison/Punk hands down. They were pulling off some great offense and really make it look like the match meant something.

I'm suprised Matt Hardy is returining so soon. I just hope he isn't pushing himself too hard and coming back not fully healed.

Does anyone feel like Kane was pulling a Joker last night? It was creepy I'll give him that.

After what feels like a few weeks stright of losing the Hart Foundation gets a win. The 6 man tag should be interesting next week. Lots of talent in that match.

man.. i remember reading that wwe weren't sure about goldust's spot in wwe

fuck.. if wwe aren't convinced that goldust is a good wrestler to have on board after his match on Superstars.. heads will roll
man that goldust chant during the match (you probably know which one i'm talking about) was one of a biggest most loudest chants i've heard in a long while, i also noticed that not only did he get the win, but he was also getting his fair share of offense in (you can always tell if he's been in a good evened match judging by how much face paint he has left on his face after the match) AND also wasn't playing up on his comic relief material during the match.

I think this match was a sink or swim position for goldust... and i think he swam like a fucking sea otter

yes, i've been drinking.

According to a criminal report filed in Pittsburgh today, Kurt Angle has been arrested and is currently in the Allegheny County Jail. There was an altercation at the home of Kurt Angle involving Angle and girlfriend Trenesha Biggers, aka TNA's Rhaka Khan. Biggers went to police and filed a protection from abuse order against Angle, and police came and removed Angle from the home this morning.
At around 8AM, Biggers called police again, stating that Angle was stalking her. She had gone to a Starbucks to use the internet, and told police that Angle had her phone and had been circling the parking lot. She claimed Angle was deleting photos from the phone, which were described as "pictures of abuse".

Angle was questioned by police, under suspicion of DUI, and when they searched the vehicle, they found used syringes and two vials of HGH. Angle claimed that he had a prescription for the medication, and could provide that to police.

Angle is currently awaiting arraignment on the following charges:

* Driving while operating privileges suspended
* Prohibited acts
* Possession
* Harassment

Angle is scheduled to defend the TNA Title tomorrow night at the Hard Justice PPV in Orlando, Florida.

This is totally shocking as far as I'm concerned. I had no idea that TNA had a PPV tomorrow night >_>

Man that is so weird. Angle has really fallen far from what he used to be. I wonder if TNA is going to drop him for this or what? What the hell is his problem anyway?

Starting this week I can watch ECW again. My school and work times changed in that favor. Now I can see some of these new guys who I have been hearing about.

Agreed. Such a fall from grace...

It will be interesting to see how this turn of events affects Jeff Jarret's status in TNA Creative.

Kurt Angle retained the TNA title tonight.

I think that says a hell of a LOT about what kind of an entity TNA is. Angle is unstable and frankly, I'm just waiting to hear he's died at this point and pray he doesn't take anyone with him. I hope I'm wrong and he gets some fucking help but it seems like all he's surrounded by right now are enablers. As long as that's true, the story of Kurt Angle will be just another chapter in the big book of "wrestlers of our generation that should be remembered as all time greats...but will sadly be remembered for how their lives were tragically short".

TNA really needs to move away from Kurt Angle on top and mandate him to get some help. I'll happily retract this if Angle is in fact as innocent as his lawyer claims, I will happily retract my statements, but at least two of these charges are pretty easy to prove a guilt or non-guilt situation, the stalking bit might be more difficult. If Angle is found guilty I hope jail time and rehab will be prescribed, he needs to bottom out before he gets better, and TNA needs to stop enabling his bad behaviors. Especially since this situation involves another member of their roster.

The situation with Angle baffles me. TNA should have had him lose the title and checked him into rehab or at the very least take him off TV for a little while. What does that say about the company if they are willing to have a guy who just got arrested still be the one to represent them?

Freddie Prinze Jr is tonights guest...Wasn't he a writer for WWE for a while? I think he ended up leaving the job he had. Weird that the bring him back for this.

It says that Dixie Carter has her lips permanently attached to Angle's lips. The funny thing is Hernandez won a match last night to regain what's pretty much a Money in the bank briefcase. He won the match in 9 seconds, and it looked like they were going to have him cash it in and win the title. Of course, TNA decided to "swerve the fans" by having Kurt retain... Not realizing that it was a STUPID DECISION!

I'm hoping that they do something during this week's Impact tapings to take the belt away from Angle, but I wouldn't count on it.

As for Freddie Prinze.. I just don't care. I'm just tired of seeing the guest hosts pretty much overshadow the important things. You know, LIKE THAT PPV WWE HAS COMING UP THIS WEEK!

This is EXACTLY why WWE let him go. He had an addiction to painkillers. Now he may have an addiction to HGH as well, and has gone completely off the deep end. On a positive note, I thought SD! was a very strong show this week. I really enjoyed Punk and Morrison again and think that's going to be an excellent feud. My understanding is it'll either be the next feud we see Punk in, or something with Matt Hardy is likely.

As far as Angle. He needs help, but I am hearing that at least on the stalking charges we should definitely remember "innocent until proven guilty" as a lot of folks seem to be willing to take up for Kurt at least somewhat in that regard. RAW on now, christ I hope for a good show...but I fear the worst.

I'll probably keep posting as it goes along for those interested.

Well, looks like they're going to no sell his stint on creative. I guess that's par for the course really since they've no sold that Ranjin Singh is a member of creative and that Big Dick Johnson is too.

What the fuck happened to this guy? He looks bad, somebody screw up in makeup? He's also coming off like a total nerd. That ice cream bar comment should pop Buck Woodward. Tonight about what the fan's want? That's a new wrinkle. Two mid-level title belts no one cares about defended? Ok, switch at least one please.

Enter RAW cliche number 1, the guest host interrupted...oh for the love of god...we're REALLY gonna do a reference to a shitty horror movie from like 10 years ago? Well at least Santino is out here to save us. Lol at Santino. The Werewolf killer? I chuckled, I admit I'm a Buffy fan.

Ah crap, we're gonna get Randy Orton, now you know this segment is headed to valiumville (tm and copyright aviewaskewed). Wow, way to state the obvious there Randy. RAW cliche number 2, the heel thinks they can book their own matches and the host uses it for a cheap pop.

By the way, does anybody know why the hell there's that gas mask picture on Orton's new shirts? Like what does that even mean? Did they just think it looked cool or something? Seriously.

Ok, that was different, and I like it, Orton takes down the guest host, this is what they should do more of with Randy, having him be that lethal heel that beats the crap out of weaker folks when he doesn't get what he wants.

Pretty good opener, can they keep it going?

So I guess Carlito and Rosa are an item now? Carlito gets chance #30001832, and Primo gets the shaft...yeah, ok, that sounds fair. Come on WWE. Really. Hopefully Carlito brought his working shoes here or Kofi gonna leave him in the dust. Good bout so far, looks like this is all about rebuilding Carlito. Uh guys? Carlito has held the US title before...preparation is your friend. Yeesh.

Good little match there. Finishing sequence was nice too, hopefully we'll be seeing a rematch at some point. Huh? This week is the reformation? I thought that was last week? I guess it's the same as how this was the 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania this year.

Well, if the segment tonight bombs at least we got this neat video of DX moments.

Wow, Miz wants to be US Champion? He has a goal? They actually are booking this title like it matters? They listened to me and others? Well that's it, I'm scared. It's the end times.

Normally, I would wait until AFTER the show to post my thoughts... but here we go.

The show started off well, and I liked him beating down Freddie (By the way, Avie, I have no idea as to why there's a gas mask on Orton's shirt).

Kofi vs Carlito was good, mostly because it was given a nice chunk of time (Even with the long commercial in the middle) and Carlito looked motivated.

Miz vs Bourne was short and sweet. Bourne was in his hometown, so you knew he would lose the match, but he still looked good. I like Miz's new look as it makes look more legit. He also looked better in the ring than usual (Maybe all he needed was to wear tights >_>).

Sadly, it all went downhill from here.

I just don't care about DX anymore, sorry. I liked that Legacy beat them down, but this just sealed Legacy's fate at Summerslam. There's no way that HHH and Shawn are doing the job there (And then Vince wonders why there's no new stars).

Gail Kim vs Mickie James was AWFUL! I'm talking -^^^ awful. These are supposed to be two of the best female wrestlers in the company, and they managed to both suck and blow in this match.

Cena's promo was his usual stuff (Complete with a poop reference). Have to admit I'm not a fan of Cena randomly yelling during his promos in order to show his "intensity".

Hey, remember the MVP/Swagger match they announced last week? The creative team didn't, so they were given a grand total of ONE MINUTE! Not only that, we got a bullshit finish in a one minute match. This was followed by Chavo vs Hornswoggle. This match was a falls-count anywhere and it was so terrible, that the fans were chanting "Let's go Blues" (Rooting for their hockey team). The pay-off of all this was... wait for it.... MACAULY FREAKING CULKIN! I can't make this shit up.

The opener was pretty solid, I haven't seen much stuff with Prinze Jr. but i don't mind him, he did convince me that he was an actual wrestling fan (unlike piven).

Santino's segment i admit got me laughing, specially the 24 part.. anyways orton came out and long story short Prinze has left the building... already.

The Kofi vs Carlito match was pretty good, Rosa seems to be Carlito's new manager and goddamn she was looking really hot tonight. I hope a feud happens between the 2, I really do like Carlito, he has the talent and i really have stood behind him since his debut (even through that shitty storyline with hornswoggle). Also whats up with his hair?... stopped using the shampoo with extra volume?

The Miz (whose now sporting trunks) cut a promo on how he wants the US title, then he beats the crap outta Evan Bourne. I dunno really what to say..

lol i love it how Cole and King were so shocked and disgusted that DX Reunion #57 was ruined by legacy. Legacy actually got the best of DX and beat them down, i think this was WWE's way of saying "there you got your piece now DX is going to thrash you at Summerslam".

The Divas match was a disaster, i can see a whole Botchmania video on it.. the truth was i wasn't looking when it finished, but i already knew it was botched... Gail Kim looked a bit pissy after the match, here comes a heel turn!

I could of pissed longer than MVP and Swagger's match.. man.. this feud had so much potential.. but it's just tail spinned into the dirt.. MVP should be drafted back to SD! next year, Swagger should be too... also during all this talk about Swagger, Gary Busey's on TV... Swagger could be Busey's younger double lol.

Chavo vs Hornswoggle.. same old shit.. cept this time there was a home alone gag, and about a minute later Macauly Culkin shows up to be behind the plan.. i gotta admit.. i fucking marked at that moment.

Freddie Prinze is back, and he announces that the tag match is going to be surrounded by babyface lumberjacks this time around.. the first thing i noticed is that Jamie Noble was in the crowd of the babyfaces.. he was also a part of the heel lumberjacks.. its a shame that guy doesn't even have a role anymore, he is quite good.
Anyway typical tag match... after the match, Cena becomes SuperCena and clears out the ring.

RAW was pretty bad, the only good part was seeing Macauly Culkin lol

next week's host is none other than Floyd 'Money' Mayweather... should be interesting to see if he comes back as a babyface against Big Show, or if he stays heel and aligns himself with Big Show.. also i read that next week Raw Roulette comes back.. man remember that one in 2002? with that awesome TLC match?... that was crazy

I didn't think anyone outside of WWE marketing would. If they did, it either means I'm completely out of touch, or you're just infinitely more reachable with a baseball bat to be hit. Seriously, what happened to making shirts and product geared towards a guy's character or phrases?

Kofi vs Carlito was good, mostly because it was given a nice chunk of time (Even with the long commercial in the middle) and Carlito looked motivated.

He did indeed, I still think Primo should be getting this chance over Carlito because of all the behavioral crap. But I guess you'll never figure out if he's truly over it unless you put him out there and give him some chances. Solid stuff as I said prior.

Miz vs Bourne was short and sweet. Bourne was in his hometown, so you knew he would lose the match, but he still looked good. I like Miz's new look as it makes look more legit. He also looked better in the ring than usual (Maybe all he needed was to wear tights >_>).

I took a shower and got a shave while this one was on. It's not because I expected a bad match, but just that looking at it I knew the finish would be wasting one of the two talents involved. I hate seeing that if I can avoid it.

Sadly, it all went downhill from here.

Here's where I think we're gonna slightly disagree.

I just don't care about DX anymore, sorry. I liked that Legacy beat them down, but this just sealed Legacy's fate at Summerslam. There's no way that HHH and Shawn are doing the job there (And then Vince wonders why there's no new stars).

I think there's always going to be a nostalgia pop for DX. DX is always gonna sell merchandise. DX is like a Hulk Hogan in that you trot it out every once in awhile and people like it. I absolutely love that they did the smart thing here and instead of letting DX have their return Legacy came out and absolutely left them laying. Something we haven't seen happen to DX in forever. Probably it means they'll lose Sunday, but I think now they got the message across that DX better take Legacy seriously. I think they can have DX with the feel good win here but what they need to do is make it look like Legacy (especially Dibiase) can hang with the big dogs, and DX just manages to get the win (over Cody, it has to be Cody if Legacy doesn't go over) due to their experience. This way you can begin the idea of Dibiase splitting from Rhodes and Orton. Look, more people I think will have watched the beat down on RAW then will have watched the match at Summerslam, so as long as Legacy isn't destroyed in minutes and given zero offense, they might actually get something out of this one here. Wins and losses don't always make a difference, but it's HOW we get to that win or loss that can make all the difference in the world.

Gail Kim vs Mickie James was AWFUL! I'm talking -^^^ awful. These are supposed to be two of the best female wrestlers in the company, and they managed to both suck and blow in this match.

They didn't get a whole lot of time truthfully, and sometimes people just don't click.

Cena's promo was his usual stuff (Complete with a poop reference). Have to admit I'm not a fan of Cena randomly yelling during his promos in order to show his "intensity".

It's sad for me to think about all the money they probably flushed with Cena. I know people who were ready to embrace him in much the way and for the same reasons they embraced Austin. But then WWE turned him into the poster boy for the kiddie initiative and those fans not only turned on Cena, they turned off WWE altogether.

Hey, remember the MVP/Swagger match they announced last week? The creative team didn't, so they were given a grand total of ONE MINUTE! Not only that, we got a bullshit finish in a one minute match. The pay-off of all this was... wait for it.... MACAULY FREAKING CULKIN! I can't make this shit up.

Yeeeah, up until this bit here I was saying "it's actually been a good show and they've done a good job building to the PPV" then we got this nonsense filler. We seriously couldn't think of anything else to have done? Anything better? Really?

The main event was about what you'd expect, retire that gimmick already please. This really was a week where it was a tale of two shows and everything after the DX segment just made you feel dirty for liking the first hour I think.

The reason the ending of the Diva's match was so bad because Gail hit her head badly on that missed crossbody and was basically out of it so Mickie had to improv the end of it. As you could tell when Mickie raised her hand, she had no idea where she was because she hit her head so hard.

Hey guys. Not sure if any of you had the same problem, but on The Score in Canada, during the Cena/Orton vs Show/Jericho match, there was no commentary for about the first 3 minutes. Then my screen went black, and it went back to the beginning of the match with audio. Once those 3 minutes were corrected, they then SKIPPED about 3 more minutes of action and went back on track. WTF?!

Raw in general was an alright show. The weekly diva's match was pretty bland, and I did want to see a proper DX Reunion, but I understand that Legacy needed to get over here. As has been mentioned before, there is no way DX will job to Legacy at Summerfest. I do hope Raw Roulette is back next week. When done right, it's a really neat concept.

All in all, I have mixed feelings about RAW this week; whereas I think Freddie did his role quite well, some of it was...........bizarre...................
WTF IS CAULKIN DOING THERE? Hell, it took me some time before I actually realized the point of him in the gag.............haha.........[/sarcasm]

Ok, now the SuperCena thing is starting to annoy ME. Sorry.

This is also the first time, I've actually seen/noticed a GODAWFUL botch...........EVEN LAWLER & COLE DIDN'T REALIZE WTF HAPPENED RIGHT AWAY. That's bad........REALLY bad. I think that actually cut the mood of the rest of the show for me, considering those 2, esp. Gail, are some of the best female wrestlers around.

Legacy actually looked threatening for a change. That's new.

All in all, Floyd still has his work cut out for him next week. Here's hoping he KO's Orton for lulz. :P

Arch nemesis my ass. TNA is not competitive to WWE at present. They can beat the 3rd rated show in the ratings, but they have no buzz to their product, and we have no way of gauging if the improved ratings have improved buyrates because TNA doesn't release them. TNA is very much in the WCW spot in the early 90's to my mind. It's pretty well funded, it has a solid network home, but it's so far from WWE in the race that it's really only number 2 because there's no company out there with the opportunities and tools they have.

WCW was the top competition for the WWE, and took a lot of their top talent. Due to a lot of bad choices and piss poor writing, they ended up getting sold to the WWE.

It's good to see The Hurricane in action again. Good match to start off the show.
