I was a little shocked to see Matt back so soon. The guy must have a pain threshold like no one else. o_O

Me too. ^_^

Kidd vs Morrison was on-par with their excellent match that they had on Superstars last week, and the Starship Pain looked nasty as Morrison landed knees first into Kidd's face.

For a minute, I thought Morrison had accidentally botched it & legitimately knocked some of Kidd's teeth loose. :P

Haas vs Slam Master J was... Well, it was there. I thought Haas actually looked better in the match than Jesse.

Jericho vs JTG was much better than expected and it was easily the best match I've ever seen be a part of. Didn't really mind him winning the match since Cryme Tyme need to look credible before the tag-match at SS.
I'm beginning to think that I hadn't been giving Cryme Tyme the credit they deserve aftr these last few matches; they're what Team Pac-Man should've been.

Meh. His gimmick sucked balls.

Sorry, Ortiz, but I have to be blunt.

It was beautiful, also blocking the stretcher and making them go around. Punk looked like an absolute scumbag coming out of that, Edge might actually be happy he's coming back as a face at the end of this because Punk seems to just get better and better every week with being a heel.

Honestly, at this rate, Punk might actually outclass Edge as a heel - hell, people might not even REMEMBER Edge was a heel in a few years if this keeps up.

just watched SD! pretty damn good as usual

Punk's promo was good.. i think it dragged on a bit, but still nice opener
also nice appearance by Vinnie Mac himself, haven't seen him on SD! in quite a while.. he announces a match between Punk and Hardy with a special enforcer

Morrison vs Kidd, wow.. that Starship Pain to the face looked so brutal, yet so good.. great match, Kidd's a pretty good wrestler.. but i hope he stops the whole screeching during his matches thing, i could hear him over J.R and Grisham at some times during the match (although if he blocked out Grishams voice it wouldn't upset me). I also really liked that springboard flipping neckbreaker move that Kidd pulled off.. seriously McMahon, stop jobbing these guys out!!!

Word Up time.. Jesse (or Slam Master J now) gets respect from Cryme Tyme this week, Shad admits that he's starting to like him now.. aaaw.. its nice to fit in...

Slam Master J (which sounds alot like Grandmaster Sexay) defeats Charlie Haas (who is now matching the same haircut as Barney Rubble)
man poor Haas.. jobbing out to people who he could most likely defeat with one hand.. don't get me wrong, Jesse isn't the worst wrestler, he's the son of the late Terry Gordy so he couldn't be too bad.. but the crowd was absolutely dead.. and i knew exactly why...

The fatal 4 way match was pretty good, even though it was obvious that Ziggler would get the win.. I'm glad that Ziggler won, but i wouldn't of been disappointed if anybody else won as i like all 4 of those guys. After the match Mysterio attacked Ziggler.. i do hope Ziggler wins the IC title

Maria and Melina were talking about Ziggler and Maria being together.. I heard that someone in creative suggested a storyline with Ziggler blackmailing Maria with a sex tape of her.. lol yeh..

wow JTG got the win over Jericho.. that was actually a nice move, it's making Cryme Tyme seem like a big threat against Jericho and Big Show. They probably won't win, or who knows.. the might at SS but it was cool to give them hope.

Khali beats Ricky Ortiz with about 3 moves... we wish Ortiz the best with his future endeavors.

So Matt Hardy (who has a really bad looking tan) is the special enforcer, if i didn't find out days before it aired, this would of been a nice surprise to me. Pretty good match.. I liked how Matt played out his role, did not change his facial expression during the whole thing, also how he played equal and did not look at Jeff when Jeff would stare him down. Punk accidenly dropkicks Hardy (Matt) right in the chest, which led him into pulling out the ref when Punk had it won, and gave Hardy (Jeff) the 3 count. I love how Matt just left after the match, saying nothing at all.

Afterwards Punk gave Hardy (Jeff) a savage beating with a guillotine like attack involving a chair, then after all of that Long made an announcement that Punk will vs Jeff in a TLC match. Jeff's match at Summerslam is most likely his last before he leaves, so i hope he puts his all in this match, I would actually consider paying to see that match.

So Sarge is the guest tonight. i'm guessing he'll be a face, and he has been one of those Legends Orton has attacked in the past so he may be anti Orton tonight. Plus we are probably going to see something hinting towards a DX reunion, if not the actual thing.

Honestly? I'm really not into the Cena/Orton storyline. It's just been done too many times. I don't want to see Cena with the belt nor do I want them to fued again.

I tell ya, Sarge is a pretty big sell out for taking the money here after WWE unceremoniously laid him off a year or so back. But whatever. Also putting a guy that was always billed as an AMERICAN hero on TV in Canada is pretty freakin baffling too. I think the only silver lining here is the wrestler hosts tend to do a good job because they understand what they're supposed to do.

This is true. But the product is still stale, and Sarge can't be as big a draw as DiBiase. Especially in Canada.

In other news, I had to cancel my PWInsider subscription due to budget constraints :(

Oh absolutely, the timing on this is like "wtf?" and the only thing I can think of is they couldn't find anyone canada friendly who'd be willing to do the job. I really hope people screw with them and just boo the shiz out of Sarge here for the lolz.

Ugh! That is truly the suck sir. May I make a suggestion? If you can't afford monthly payments, why not try just doing the one time yearly payment option? Or get a friend or relative to do a yearly or two year subscription for you as a gift? Or use gifted money for such? No wrestling fan should be without a PWInsider Elite subscription!! Seriously guys, I shill for them all the time because it truly is worth it.

Would make the show more interesting, for sure. Ideally, they'll swerve us all and have Bret hart come out and beat the shit out of Sarge with a sledgehammer, and have him commandeer the show. In fact, I think I might just go bed early tonight and hope I dream of that instead of having to watch Raw.

Oh, I assure you, as soon as my student loan comes in, I'm going to get a year long subscription. I didn't like it when it went out monthly anyway. By the looks of it, I still get access until this last month I've paid for runs out, so I shouldn't be without for too long. I just really need to keep a hawk eye on my finances.

/Sarcasm, right? RIGHT!?

Anyway, Raw was pretty good this week. I thought Bourne vs Swagger III was a pretty good match, as was Jericho vs Cena. However, "The Search for Shawn Michaels" was definately my favourite part of the show. Sure, some of the humour was a little campy, but I think that was the most Raw has made me laugh in months.

For those who missed the show, here is a link to the "Search for Shawn" segment in its entirety:

After last night, I think this show should be calling itself RAW is FAIL. That show last night was the same thing you always get from WWE. Illogical storylines, idiotic segments, talented workers being destroyed to get over the wrong people, and silliness that only works if you suspend any and all logic.

DX is always good for a chuckle and all, but I'd rather their brand of silly be the exception and not the rule because they seem to be the only ones that can make me laugh hard enough to stop myself from going "why the hell would Shawn Michaels be off being a cook? Why weren't we told he quit? Why why why WHY?".

The Hickenbottom did pop me, but there was just something so dirty about the whole segment after you consider how unarguably amazing his feud with Taker was.

I would have to assume that that is part of the reason behind giving him so much time off, but I haven't forgot, and they still could've given him something better to return.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2009-08-12 00:01:16

One has to remember that DX thrives on campy comedy segments; they don't have to ENTIRELY make a whole lot of sense when you're laughing too much to really give a rat's ass - like I was. :P Loved the Hickenbottom reference, and I'm sure all of you have also wanted to give your boss some Sweet Chin Music at one time...........about that, though: Is it just me, or did he deliver SCM on that little girl, too? Now THAT was a bit wrong.........but amusing.

I've obviously been confused on which of the remaining Hart Bros. was still alive.......you have to remember that I'm not as good on wrestling history as the rest of ya'.

Y'know, the whole "opponents for PPV forced to team up next week" thing is getting rather old.......but regardless, that RKO from off of Cena was really awesome. I'm just sad that Jericho wasn't allowed to win in his '2nd home'.....and that he had to alienate some of his fans beforehand - I know he's a heel, but come on, I haven't heard cheering like that for him in some time. Hey, at least he cut off the damn 5-Knuckle Shuffle for once.

The Sarge played his role well enough.

It didn't make ANY sense is the problem. WWE basically fast forwarded to the ending of a story they never told. See, you want to do what they did last night? Then you need to set something up where you make it clear to the audience that Shawn Michaels quit the company or some such. Far as I recall, he just stopped appearing on TV post-Mania, ditto Taker. We got like a week or two to tell us Shawn had left wrestling to go be a friggin fry cook which why the hell walk away from the money and what not? Ugh the more I think about it the more it gives me an actual headache.

I saw HHH on the late night show with Jimmy Fallon last night. Not a bad apperance. He admitted he had no idea what twitter was and said a few funny things about it. He plugged the reuniting of DX and Summer Slam as well as the new video game where you can download Jimmy Fallon as a character. Not a bad apperance, though his segment was pretty short in comparrison to the other stuff.

So William Regel is the #1 contender for the ECW title. I think him and Christian can do some impressive work together.

Regal is almost as bad as dreamer, Hopefully after this feud one of the new wrestlers will have stepped up enough above the rest of his class to compete for the title.
The deciding factor of who comes out on top between Christian/Regal should be if that new wrestler is a heel or face.

I can't see the point of having two established stars feuding on ECW, They should be feuding against the newer wrestlers.

Do you blame them though...everything else on the show is just so stale and is just not entertaining anymore. When DX comes back it's like omg i want to watch raw. It was funny, but predictable. They need to give both of them creative control over this little feud, because as shown in the past both of them have a good idea of what we want to see and hear.

I think Regal is a good wrestler, and he can pull off some good promos.. and who knows.. he could be a future Hall of Famer one day.. but many of my friends describe him as bland and uninteresting and in one way, i agree with them.
ECW is the right place for him, he does deserve a good ECW title run.

I don't know about that. Regal is damn good for sure but I think his glory days are well behind him. He's messed up too many times for the WWE to have full confidence in him. Still, if they were to give him a title run, I guess the ECW title would be the best.

I never seem to have the time to watch ECW these days (which is stupid because I find time for Raw) so I'm not to bothered about Regal getting the title. Personally however, I wouldn't put it on him. I like him as a worker, but not as a performer as of late. Back in the commissioner era when he had Tajiri by his side he was gold but not so much since then.

Since ECW is the development brand, I feel moving the title from Christian to Regal is kind of pointless. Have Christian keep the strap and Regal put someone new over before that person goes on to fued over the belt. I'd love to see Evan Bourne getting a run with the title, in what I think would be an excellent match against Christian. Too bad he's been moved to Raw, especially since according to a few sources there was talk of giving Bourne the strap shortly before SciFi became SyFi. I think he's have hit the ground running with it.

At least for one match, it looked like Goldust found the fountain of youth. His match against Sheamus on Superstars was his best match in ages. He also seems to be in the best he's been since his first run as Goldust. Good for him, as people tend to forget that he's actually a solid hand in the ring.

John Morrison vs DH Smith wasn't as good as the Morrison/Kidd matches, but it was still Smith's best match of his young career (By far). It has to be said... Morrison might just be the best in-ring performer in WWE at the moment. Can't even remember the last time he had a sub-par match.

The ME (Mickie & Kofi vs Rosa & Carlito) was just there. I'm just hoping that with Carlito pinning Kofi this all leads to a feud between the two (Since Kofi has been doing nothing for the past couple of months).

I'd like to see those matches. I'll have to see if there are on wwe.com.

An interseing bit I found on wrestlezone.com:

WWE stars Chris Jericho and The Great Khali are set to shoot a few scenes for the upcoming film "MacGruber," which stars Will Forte and is based on the popular Saturday Night Live sketch of the same name. IMDB.com is reporting that the film is set to be released on April 16th, 2010.

Recording artist MC Hammer posted the following on his Twitter account today: "WWE ??? MN RAW ?? HAMMERTIME??? hmmmmm???"

MC Hammer? Really? If that happens...wow. talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel huh?

Punk vs Morrison from tonight's SD=Yet another great tv match for the blue brand.

Probably their best match together (And that's saying a lot). Also, keep an eye out for Punk's elbow right after the match ends. JR makes mention of it, but its little things like that elbow that make Punk even more of a dick.

I'll say it once again.. I can't believe that the same company that produces the crap that is called RAW, also makes such an awesome show in SD.

Breaking: WWE Releases Eugene Again
Posted in: WWE News on Aug 14, 2009 - 3:14:42 PM

Just days after he made his first return appearance on WWE television, Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore has been released from the company.

"WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Eugene as of August 14, 2009. We wish Eugene the best in all future endeavors," read a WWE.com statement.

Eugene wrestled a masked The Miz in a "contract on a pole" match that determined who would become part of the RAW roster. Miz won the match, but few would have figured that Eugene's failure to capture the contract would be his final WWE appearance
