isn't weird the in that 6 man tag, the one guy who isn't involved in the US title picture (Primo) won the match?.. ah well they all got squashed by show afterwards.

it was good to see kendrick again.. though jobbing to the king?.. that's a bad sign.. well at least he was controlling most of the match and just had king give the finish.. also for a 50 - 60 year old, king can still pull off a pretty decent dropkick.

the zz top/santino segments were dreadful to watch.. were they trying to make people believe that they were actually playing their songs with those guitars?! if they were.. fuck..

I gotta give it up to mark henry, he is actually doing quite well since moving to raw, good to see that he could actually get the crowd behind him, specially after the match when he was doing a hogan like celebration with the crowd. but jericho jobbing 2 weeks in a row?.. not cool..

shaq hosting raw doesn't annoy me, just like green you know he is a genuine wrestling fan, and can actually be quite funny and entertaining too, can't wait to see what this holds.. also if anybody remembers this, they're might be a part 2 now that Carlito's a heel again.. although maybe this time around they're pushing him to be a serious heel.

Chavo once again is humiliated by a midget dressed as a leprachaun.. man.. now i know the kids love hornswoggle but goddamn get another wrestler to pit him against.. someone like santino whose just as big of a joke as hornswoggle.. plus it took horny forever to pull down chavo's pants.. while chavo had to pretend to be struggling the whole time... who knows, chavo might just have a big sense of humour and actually doesn't mind doing all of this.. but still, poor chavo.. that's all i have to say

i gotta say i liked the Mickie/Miz/Maryse segment, i like how the segment took place on the stage rather than the ring, had an old school feel to it.. also it actually put a story behind the divas title.. i liked the insults mickie delivered to miz, pretty funny stuff.

the legacy/jericho segment was good, seeing jericho's face while legacy was talking just reminded me of a little kid getting picked on by 2 high school bullies lol. the segment ends with jericho saying that orton could be his partner (i highly doubt it..)

anyways this was a pretty lackluster raw.. hopefully shaq can make things better next week

So Shaq & Carlito already have history, then? Wonder if it'll get brought up.

They might mention it, like maybe have Shaq put carlito in a match he doesn't like. Or they could just ignore it since most people don't remember that. I sure didn't.

Jeremy Piven is said to be on the list for celeb GM. I don't watch a lot of TV so I really didn't know who this was, but I'm sure a lot of you do.

I wonder why they are keeping Santino out of the ring? Do you think they are working on a new program for him or do they just want him around to interact with the guest GM?

You're most likely right, if they couldn't even have Edge and Alicia Fox bring up their past while on smackdown, then this will probably have no chance.

He's from Entourage, and that new movie coming out about those car dealers.. also that RAW show is on my bday :D

because he's pretty much just comic relief now, he never really excited anyone in the ring unless he was doing his silly antics. I'm glad WWE has caught onto that fact.

These guys can't even remember from week to week sometimes. If you think they're bringing up a basically throw away angle from years ago with a guy they probably have no intention of pushing, you're insane.

Yep, they apparently have a very long list of people waiting to come on as there's a lot of hollywood type fans and they all want to push their shit to the WWE audience.

Pure and simple, the dude is comedy relief for their ridiculous skits now...which makes you wonder just how long his shelf life is gonna be if he isn't actively wrestling much anymore.

They may be keeping Santino out of the ring to give fans time to forget what he's done so far. Also with Chavo being used as the butt of the jokes they don't need two guys out there being made a fool of.

Speaking of WWE not doing a thing with what they have, why is Miz suddenly just an interview guy? He put on a very good match with Cena and then got nothing out of it. WWE has really dropped the ball here.

Hey guys! Its been a while since I posted on here. Just wanted to let you know, I stumbled upon a WWE Summerslam ad in a Canadian magaize that lists Shawn Michaels as appearing. I have submitted the story to a few wrestling news sources, and below is a link to the advertisement:

http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac337 /Zornkatzu/SummerSlam001.jpg

Sure would be nice to have good old HBK back. WWE (especially Raw) has been terrible of late.

If they wanted to repackage him, he'd be off TV period. I think they are just trying to make him all about the skits because he doesn't offer them much else. But of course for me and of course for purists, if you aren't wrestling, the fuck is the point?

Also with Chavo being used as the butt of the jokes they don't need two guys out there being made a fool of.

I think the Hornswoggle character is just so terrible now, it's gotten totally out of hand and it's ridiculous now. Someone his size will NEVER beat someone bigger then them. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

He got jobbed out twice by Cena, RAW really hasn't done much of anything with the talent they acquired in the draft this year. Mark Henry has probably done the best thus far in his move to RAW and other then Jack Swagger I don't really foresee any of the folks who've been shipped to RAW being able to do terribly well. RAW is all about the top guys and the mid level guys are just there because the top guys can't be in every segment and wrestle like 5 times in 2 hours.

PWInsider.com posted a bit about Shawn's return.

WWE has big plans for Shawn Michaels' return this summer. We've confirmed the Armageddon PPV on 12/13 will be in San Antonio, Texas. Michaels is slated to return in time for Summerslam and they have discussed a DX reunion with Triple H. There is also talk of Shawn facing Randy Orton for WWE title.

I only caught the end of SD last night but the match between Rey and Punk was very well done. It kinda sucks that Punk has lost three times in a row but this time it was via DQ and it helped to further the fued between Ziggler and Rey so it works for me.

What did you guys think of the rest of the show?

I liked the opening and closing matches (Jeff/Jericho and Punk/Rey) and both Jeff and Punk's promos. R-Truth's match was pretty solid and Khali's was awful but that's to be expected really. Overall a pretty good smackdown that did a great job of hyping up the WHC and IC title matches on Sunday.

Since he has been gone the feuds on raw have less then what is expected. The main event scene is horrible to say at best, it's the same 3 people over and over cena Vs. ortan and ortan Vs. HHH or a triple threat match between the 3 of them. Is anyone else sick of seeing the same 3 people face off over and over agian? The feuds are over nothing, at least when shawn has a title shot it's ususaly something i'm looking forwad to see. The best of the 3 is Randy, he's fresh and has alot of talent and is interesting to watch. The thing that is holding him back is that he is facing the same opponents over and over.

Completely agree. As posted above, there is not only talk of a DX reunion, but also giving HBK another shot at the big time with a WWE Title Match. Personally, I would love to see the folloeing scenario:

- DX returns after Summerslam and begins a feud with Legacy.
- Shawn Michaels & Triple H vs Legacy in a 3-on-2 Handicap Match at WWE Breaking Point.
- Have it all come to a head at WWE Hell in a Cell in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship between Orton, Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Michaels wins the title.
- Shawn Michaels vs Randy Orton at WWE Bragging Rights. Michaels retains.
- Shawn Michaels vs Randy Orton vs Batista at WWE Survivor Series. Michaels retains.
- Triple H can return to his feud with Orton and finally finish things at WWE Armageddon.
- Shawn Michaels vs John Cena at WWE Armageddon. Michaels retains.
- Long, strong build up to Shawn Michaels vs Triple H at Wrestlemania. Triple H wins the title.

Anyone else like my idea? I'm sure Creative probably has something far more bland in store for us, but I think having Michaels at the VERY top of the card one more time would breathe a lot more life into RAW.

Honestly, I don't think Shawn's held a title since.......I STARTED WATCHING WRESTLING. If he has had said title at any time after 2002-03, please correct me.

Pleez, Creative - GIVE HIM THE FUCKING TITLE AGAIN. The same 3 people over the last 5-6-7-however-many years is getting ridiculous. Putting the title on him might actually make people give a damn again.

It's been almost confirmed that there will be a DX reunion in the near future. i will try to not spoil to much but it's going to be a DX vs orton scenario. If you have been watching raw you see that codey has been going against orton in the past weeks and he could split by then, possibly turning face in that match.

- DX returns after Summerslam and begins a feud with Legacy.

I would like to see that, they would almost likely give HHH and Shawn creative control over the storyline.

- Shawn Michaels & Triple H vs Legacy in a 3-on-2 Handicap Match at WWE Breaking Point.

I loved when Dx was back in 06, it was the high point in raws entertainment level.

- Have it all come to a head at WWE Hell in a Cell in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship between Orton, Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Michaels wins the title.

I think it would be better to see a mutual agreement between the two DX members and them just saying no hard feelings and whoever wins will win. I would like to see Shawn pin Orton opposed to HHH.

- Long, strong build up to Shawn Michaels vs Triple H at Wrestlemania. Triple H wins the title.

I'm not sure if this is the best blace for him to loose the title. Shawn is at his best at Wrestlemania and at the mainevent :::even better:::. I would like to see a clasic match go on here just like at Wrestlemania 12,19,20,21,23,24,25 thoes were my favorites.

I like the just of your ideas, though i doubt vince will give the Creative team anything here. If he wanted raw to have a fued of the year quality fued he would give full creative control to Shawn.

I agree that Michaels is at his best at Wrestlemania. Whether he would keep the title or not is more of a moot point, but I would have him drop the title sinply so he can return to his lighter work schedule sooner rather than later. As for the match itself, I would give these guys AT LEAST 30 minutes. Looking back at their Three-Stages-of-Hell match at Bad Blood several years back, these guys can steal the show when given the time to do it.

I like the just of your ideas, though i doubt vince will give the Creative team anything here. If he wanted raw to have a fued of the year quality fued he would give full creative control to Shawn.

And that there is the saddest part. Such a simple solution to Raw's Creative Crisis...

I think that's a fair point, since it certainly is bizzare that a TV PG show is promoting an admitted drug abuser as the hero and the straight edge guy as the heelish jerk-o character. But as you say, a lot of the content of what Punk is saying can be agreed with, it's just a question of tone and method really. I think it's been a credit to both Punk and SD! creative that they've taken the character he made on the indies, but have made it much more subtle then the character he portrayed before which was very in your face and clearly had no respect for the crowd and believed himself to be far superior to them.

Also on the give Michaels the title...why? He's old, fantastic performer still, but WWE has to get out of the crutch of only passing the title or giving the title shots, to the same three or four people on RAW. They need something NEW, someone DIFFERENT in that mix. The ratings improved the last time they tried it (Punk) but we all know how that ended. The answer is not to put the belt back onto Michaels and let him feud with the same guys that he's already had fairly extensive programs with, it's to start trying something different and find that next "player". But considering how little interest they've had in creating that so far, I think we really probably will see another Michaels title reign, or continue to see the belt traded between the same folks on top. WWE really desperately needs the RAW brand freshened up, they need to build some people up and when ready insert them into the top mix. I'm not pissed off anymore that they haven't placed anyone new in there since Cena and Batista, so much as I'm pissed they don't even seem to have taken step 1 in making that happen with ANYBODY.

The only time you see that is on Smackdown! or ECW. It never happens on RAW.

But World title wise, its been since 02.. and back at the time he only held it for about a month..

I could definitely see an upside in HBK getting the title. He can drag a good match out of pretty much anyone, and he knows how to put together a really good story within a match. That could really help them build some new people into main event positions. I mean, they could use a HBK/Orton feud to build Orton as a believable champion finally, but I think with HBK as champ, they could get a few people up there.

I know it's not likely to happen. I think what will happen is HBK will feud with Orton, they'll trade the title a few times, but Orton will ultimately retain, and they'll have to get some promising talent from SD! to bury in the ME picture of Raw.

At 7/26/09 08:01 AM, TheD-LucksEdition wrote: 1. Women's Champion Michelle McCool vs Melina

I don't think the WWE puts enough thought into the women's division to plan ahead, so I'd say Melina will win the belt and feud with Natalya.

2. Divas Champion Maryse vs Mickie James

I'm going Mickie James, although I could see Miz interfering to win Maryse's love.

3. Unified WWE Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & ??? vs Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

I'd say Jericho will retain, but I have no idea who could be his partner, and it's mysteries like this that make wrestling interesting to me.

4. United States Champion Kofi Kingston vs MVP vs Carlito vs Jack Swagger vs The Miz vs Big Show (Six Pack Challenge)

I agree with you about Swagger. An MVP/Swagger feud for the belt could be good. And might make MVP worth a damn again. But probably not.

5. Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio vs Dolph Ziggler w/ Maria

WWE is all for the short title reigns and numerous belt changes nowadays, so Misterio dropping the belt seems like a strong possibility, and there's an upside to giving Ziggler the belt.

6. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer vs Christian

I don't watch ECW, so I don't really know much about this. Then again, I can easily imagine Dreamer retaining and Christian becoming part of the unified tag champs.

7. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs JYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEFF Hardy

I'm really beginning to dislike Jeff "I heal myself" Hardy. The only reason Punk is the heel here is because Punk is up against Jeff. And of course Punk's brilliant subtle heel mannerisms.

I see Punk retaining here, and either Jeff going for something extreme and totally wiping himself out, or Punk destroying him totally to explain his absence from the company. Then a fully heel Punk can feud with Misterio.

8. WWE Champion Randy Orton vs Triple H vs John Cena (Triple Threat Match)

ZZZzzzzzz. I'm not going to make a prediction for this. In fact, yes I am: Boredom.

Most interesting match of the PPV because we have no idea what is going to happen.

4. United States Champion Kofi Kingston vs MVP vs Carlito vs Jack Swagger vs The Miz vs Big Show (Six Pack Challenge)

The way raw is being book almost expect Show to win and then feud with cena over the title.
however I agree that Swagger winning is the way to go.

5. Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio vs Dolph Ziggler w/ Maria

Mystery to win, feud to continue.

6. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer vs Christian

Dreamer to win, drop title to kozlov soon.

7. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs JYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEFF Hardy

I would like to say hardy to win, I can't stand punk. So that's what I will say. Hardy.

8. WWE Champion Randy Orton vs Triple H vs John Cena (Triple Threat Match)

If big show wins US title, Orton to win.
Otherwise, Cena to win.

That would be awesome.

As far as predictions go, I think you guys have hit the nail on the head for them. The only thing I'd say would be that I think it would be better if Swagger won the U.S. title in a singles match but yeah I think he's the best one to give the title to next. Him or Miz would benifit from a singles title run.

Raw really needs to put someone new in the WWE title hunt as we are just getting variations of the same thing over and over. I think HBK is a bit too old for WWE to pin their hopes on but he would at least he would freshen up the division.

Is it me or is John Cena better off as a non-Champion? What i mean is, that John Cena's on screen/stage presence is better represented when he's not the champion and that gives Raw more options to add storylines for other characters and such.

With that said, Randy (as much as i hate him) will/should retain the title this weekend.

Well, Orton is still champ despite tapping out to both Cena & Triple H....because THAT makes sense.
God I HATE the Raw brand right now. I swear, if Michaels doesn't win the title off of Orton, I'm done with Raw. And I love how Cody and DiBiase help Orton win his match, but Orton was NOWHERE TO BE FOUND during their TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH. I mean, if YOU were either of those guys, wouldn't you think "hmm...why am I helping this guy be a champion while I get nothing?"

Jeff Hardy is the champion...which is either proof he's staying, or a swerve on the smart fans and a ploy to really really turn Punk all the way round the bend here. It certainly better not be the Ortoning of Punk once more or else really? Screw WWE hard, they deserve to fail if they've built a guy this much and into an attraction only to dump him off like this.
