Well, TMZ have covered it, and they seem somewhat pro-Jericho. Hopefully that will be the popular stance here.
It is pathetic how people take the fake characters so seriously.

Certainly not a Jericho fan... but geez >> I can understand kids not totally getting there is a difference between reality and fantasy. But you'd think adults would have more sense... and once again I'm proven they don't. Really starting to loose some hope for the future here.

Damn. Jericho was justified in his actions since he was being attacked. Sure he really shouldn't have spat in the face of that woman, but other than that way to go Jericho. The fans should have left him alone, and the fact that they wouldn't let him leave was their fault in provoking him. I hope he doesn't get in any trouble for this.

Here is a bit more on the story as it develops. Man I hope Jericho doesn't get charged with anything. It will be interesting if he is on Raw tonight. I'm sure he'll have to address the situation at some point but since it is being investigated he may not want to do that just yet.

whats even more pathetic, that it was people in their mid 20s that were heckling him instead of kids, ok maybe kids will be fooled by their fake act but not fuckin adults! thats just sad..

I can see where he'll be subpoened and shit. I'm pretty sure he'll get some kind of fine for running the stop sign, but from the way this sounds it sounds totally like the dude was defending himself against the actions of a couple of retards.

Yeah, it's been like that for a couple weeks. I mean aside from the whole "Children ages 6-12 LOVE John Cena, so let's make his character a huge walking pre-teen douche" thing they're going for, how anybody could get out in front of tens of thousands of people every week and perform a move called "The Attitude Adjuster" is beyond me. I really think they should have gone with "The Throwback" at least... it's got a nice ring to it anyway. A lot better than hearing The King shout "IT'S THE ATTITUDE ADJUSTER! Ooh it's over now..."

And speaking of Cena, it's been a few months. Isn't he due for an injury shortly?

He already has a move called the throwback, so I believe when they first used that term the forgot it, so they changed it to the Attitude Adjustment. Whatever, Cena does nothing for me really, long as they don't screw with Edge, I'm good.

Lo and behold, he has returned.

It seems as though Christian has his sights set on the 'ole ECW Champsionship. Shame, as I was kind of hoping he'd (officially) be on SD! alongside Edge, but we should (hopefully) be seeing him twice a week often enough...

also, a semi-homoerotic picture in homage.

Wow, way to anti-climax with the Christian return. I'm sure it'll do wonders for the young talent on EC-dub, but surely Christian's return could've been sooooo much more?

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2009-02-10 22:56:25

Alright! Christian returned! On..ECW? Not exactly the return I was hoping for but at least he's back and in the top spot of that show. Why on earth WWE would put him on that show is beyond me. Still it was awesome to see him back with WWE.

So...Dreamer is 0-3. Thanks WWE for ruining this story before it even got started. Guess this means Dreamer is retiring this year huh?

true, wtf are they doing? their killing off their one and only shred of old school ECW in such a bad way! i hope they're goin somewhere with this...

Tyson Kidd was supposed to be apart of the New Hart Foundation as he's been a family friend since childhood, also he's been dating Natalya for about 8 years i think.. hopefully he gets a good push

also i gotta agree with you, he should either grow some hair, or shave that fringe off..

By the time they do, no one will probably care.

As far as Christian, I see the logic, he's a strong talent for them that left at the mid-card level (but the mid-card level of RAW or SD! a few years ago is top guy status for what they put out with ECW) and with Matt Hardy moved to SD! somebody needed to fill that void. I think this is actually not a bad use of Christian for the moment as it can get him a Mania pay day (you just know there's going to be either a singles match with he and Swagger, or a three way with he, Swagger, and Finlay) and it doesn't upset any of the established plans. Big fish in a small pond isn't always a bad thing, and I'm sure it's only going to be until the next draft at the latest. There's a ton they can do with him and I don't necessarily mind them getting him out for a surprise to pop a better rating on the developmental show before moving him on to all that other good shit.

We've been bitching forever they rush through stuff all the time and sprint when they should walk. Well they're walking here while still getting some immediate benefit, so I'm down with this idea for now.

i see where you're gettin at, and it is actually a pretty clever move by wwe, they wanna build him up a bit before he gets moved to either raw or smackdown, because it's true he did leave during a midcard stage, and i'm guessing that the ECW title is one step higher than he US and IC titles, as Matt Hardy went from US title to ECW title, so even slapping on the ECW title is making him one push higher to the main event level

It's still far too early to tell if they really did drop the ball on it. I think having Christian on ECW to re-establish himself to the WWE audience is a good way to let people see what he is all about and can work him up to be a main event player. A run with the ECW title could help in that reguard.

From wrestlezone.com:

We reported earlier that TNA has expressed interest in bringing in former WWE/ECW talent Stevie Richards. The Wrestling Observer is now confirming that TNA has announced Stevie will be joining their roster. Richards is apparently on close terms with Terry Taylor, who is TNA's head of talent relations.

Good for Stevie. I hope he is able to thrive in TNA, or at least be given a decent chance to show what he can do.

what ever happened to the good old days when the announcers would have a stroke when someone returned?

I wonder if they were even told he was coming back? Because it really looked and sounded like they were uninformed and unprepared, but then again I think the audience was too. Not a lot of hot reaction there, and for a guy that was in all fairness a mid-card talent working his way up when he left 3 years back, maybe we shouldn't have expected anything more then that. Yes he was a top guy for TNA, but the TNA audience is SMALLER then the ECW audience is even (and that's the smallest audience WWE has). So to me I think to expect he'd be treated like a top guy or viewed as a top guy by anybody who isn't a hardcore net fan like we are may be a situation where we are not fairly assessing the situation. Like I said, I think it's not a bad idea to rebuild him on ECW, to use him as a possible ratings draw for a little while, and then send him over to SD! with Edge and the Hardy's and then there's all kinds of new possibilities for him there. Plus, you have to consider that ECW has to be renewed like anything else, and if that rating slips and there aren't definable draws on there no matter how much NBC/Universal will pressure Sci Fi, if they can show that this product just isn't drawing, it will be gone. If I'm WWE, I never want to drop TV time that I could be making money off of and developing characters on.

I'm glad to see MVP finally on a roll. I hope this leads him to winning the U.S. Title so he can be re-established as a top performer. He beat Benjamin last week so it stands to reason that he'll get a title shot sometime down the road if not tonight.

WWE must really like Miz and Morrison since they are featured on all three shows all the time. I kinda hope they get officially drafted to a new brand so that they can get a consistent push on it. Maybe even split them up so they can persue singles action. I think Miz would be a fine contender for either the IC or U.S. Titles and Morrison is a future main event player in my book.

sadly i think the miz will get a bigger push than morrison, it just seems like it will
and don't get me wrong, to quote from JBL "i HATE the miz...", but i dunno i remember reading something about how wwe are focusing more on miz than they are with morrison, due to morrisons character becoming more of a comedy role than a serious one... but still.. have they seen how the miz acts?...

Great predictions as always man! I honestly can't think of any arguments to it right now. It's not like there is any doubt for the HBK/JBL match but the others seem to make sense. Orton is getting a push so I can't see him lose to Shane.

I just picked up the Edge DVD and have gotten through the first disk. Wow. I had forgotten just how funny Edge and Christien were during their goofball phase.

im agreeing with you in every match cept for HBK vs JBL

rumour has it that they are thinking of reuniting DX just before wrestlemania, so im thinking that they might be cutting this storyline off, coz everyone knows if trips and michaels wanna do DX then they will most likely get their way..

I really can't see it being edge vs big show at WM.

I think the best scenario would be Jeff wins in the chamber and then faces Matt for the title at WM.
But I can't really see that happening either.

Throw HHH in with edge and bigshow, then I can see a WM main event.
I guess.

Alright.

I think I said this last year when they did it but I still think having two elimination chamber matches on the same show cheapens it a bit. Yeah it's good that they do it once a year to keep it fresh but it seems like overkill.

It kinda sucks that Matt Hardy is not in the chamber as that would have made sense in the Hardy storyline. I think WWE is missing an opportunity here.
