Have you guys seen this video from the Onion poking fun at wrestling fans? I have to admit, I chuckled a bit at some of the jokes. I do eat a lot of junk food and soda, but I keep myself in excellent shape.

I'll have to wear a mask for the rest of my life.

He earned it! That guy was clueless about his job and did nothing really to improve.

I keep hearig conflicting stories about Mickey Rourke and WM. Some sites say he will be there and others say he won't. Not really sure whats going on at this point.

The best I can figure out the timeline is that it runs like this:

1. Vince sees "The Wrestler" in a private screening, hates it, and bans anyone in the company from talking about it or in any way being seen as promoting it.

2. The Wrestler gets an Oscar nomination, Vince now wants to be associated with the film for multiple reasons most likely:

a) The publicity he might get residually

b) His network partners always want him to have some kind of big attraction for Mania he can put on the shows to pop ratings.

c) This presents Vince with his most logical celebrity crossover ever, and maybe a match that won't such and piss off his regular customer base too badly.

3. Vince, or one of the hirelings that deals with such, approaches Rourke about doing a match with Jericho. Rourke obviously accepts and we get his barbs at Jericho, Jericho's promo response on RAW, and the Larry King angle. The deal looks done and it'll be Rourke/Jericho at Mania.

4. Somebody in Rourke's camp, agent, publicist, someone, gets to him and explains to him if he did a match at Mania, he will fuck up his comeback royal because there's no way he'd have a hope of winning the Oscar at that point and the respect and career boost what comes with it. So he made that public statement pulling out.

But Vince says he'll still be there as a guest, and I can see him still doing it once the Oscars are over. But yeah, I just can't see it doing wonders for him career wise if he really plans on making an acting comeback to do anything but maybe a run-in at the big show. It's not like past Mania celebrity participants have had great and long careers in their fields after the appearance.

So tonight we will see more of the Orton/McMahon fued. There are a few things they can do with this depending on what direction they want to take. If they want to keep the McMahons face then they will just go ahead with Shane going after Orton, but if they want Steph to turn heel she could betray Shane and side with Legacy. The last time we saw both Stephanie and Shane together she slapped him in the face so there is that possibility.

We'll also probably see where the HBK/JBL storyline will go. They will have to have a match sometime down the road. Maybe at Maina or perhaps sooner.

Speaking of PPV Mike Knox qualified for the elimination chamber at a house show....Ugh.

I actually like this. For one, I actually like Knox (Its probably due to the beard), and although there's pretty much no way that Cena will drop the title in the match, at least we're seeing some new guys (Knox, Kingston) getting a chance to be in a big match.

Yeah, I can get behind that thought process, but my fear is they'll wind up as the first guys out because nobody believes they have a shot. I also like that they continue to advance plans and minor storylines at house shows. Hey, you gotta give people a reason to buy a ticket in these kind of times!!!!

The Academy people really do look to much into things. I can see them taking away his chances at an Oscar for doing one match. Sad and really stupid, but yeah unforchenately true.

Well I don't blame them here, it's about protecting the prestige of the award. If wrestling wasn't seen and a lot of times portrayed by it's promoters as so low brow, they wouldn't care. But they feel (and probably pretty rightly) if they gave that award to an actor that will turn around and do something that will lower it's prestige and their relevance even more, they'd be screwed. People already don't seem to care about it, they don't want to make that any worse.

I was hoping that a push was in the cards for Dreamer and what do we get? Him losing twice in a row. WWE boking puzzles me sometimes and pisses me off most of the time. Speaking of guys getting jobbed out, Jamie Noble is a part of ECW now I guess. You know, I honestly hope he gets released so he could go back to other federations where he actually got to show his talent. I know WWE has to have guys at the bottom to job to others but why is it always the talented ones?

Boogeyman is creepy.

I have to agree, Tommy and Noble are guys that I would be putting in there with the dudes like Swagger that they want to get over and make into better workers and legit stars.

I think they are massively dropping the ball with the Tommy angle, I'm not saying give him the belt, but jesus christ would it kill them to make it look like he HAS A FUCKING CHANCE? Really would it?

Thats my point exactly! For us to buy Dreamer as a serious contender for anything he needs to get some wins! Yes he got in some good offense last night but thats not enough for what he is trying to do. Then on top of that get got beaten up by Miz and Morrison. My feeling is that he needs to get wins over one or both of them to get back on track with his storyline.

So, for the first time in a while I was actually quite impressed with RAW on Monday - particularly how the HBK-JBL line is unfolding. Finally, it seems as if it's going to end (and decently at that), and I'm actually looking forward to their "all-or-nothing" match. Huzzah!

Also looking forward to SD! on Friday - any word on Christian? It'd pretty much be a major disappointment if he ends up not signing.

Finally, to completely divert from topic, anyone taken a look at WWE's new line of T-shirts? Might just be me, but spending $45 on one t-shirt is just batshit insane.

Don't you know WWE's tactics? In financial crisis, they charge more, because that makes up for the money lost from the economic crisis.
To be fair though, if you're gonna get money out of anyone at this stage, it's going to be kids, so going PG is a fucking stellar idea.

WWE does make great products that last, but damn, do they overcharge. Glad I grabbed them Edge shirts when I did now that I'm hearing of this price hike.

I've still got a HHH Jersey from when he first became WWF Champion that not only still fits but still looks almost new. I will say this about WWE's t-shirts, they hold up well. Better than a lot of shirts I bought at concerts over the years. Sucks that the price is so high but then again we are getting quality.

The thing about the "All-or-nothing" match is that I have zero doubt that HBK will win. Yeah I'm cool with how the storyline turned out but there will be no suprise in store for us.

That was my first thought when JBL brought up the deal. We're sure to get one hell of a match in the process, I'm sure. This makes me wonder what's in store for HBK for WM.

WOOOOOOO!! Naitch returns this Monday. What the hell does he have in store for us? Little useless fact: He turns 60 in less than 3 weeks.

Maybe he'll be showing up to confirm his inducting of Stone Cold. I don't think he should wrestle anymore either.

I'm looking forward to Sd tonight. I want to see where the Hardy storyline goes as well as to see if MVP can get some much needed wins. Edge is also a big reason why I like SD so much but I think thats a given at this point.

SD was pretty good last night. I enjoyed how the main event turned out and MVP looks to be back on track and will hopefully get a chance to be the U.S. Champion again.

Matt Hardy showed us his brutal side by beating the crap out og Helms. I like the way Matt's heel turn is going so far, though it would have been better if both Hardy's were in the elimination chamber and not Kozlov. Jeff is supposed to return next week so we will see what happens between the two.

Credit PWinsider for the following:

The Youtube poster listed the following description: "After Jericho drove out of the parking lot, a fan ran up to his SUV, starting knocking on the window and fingering him while yelling. Jericho opened the door and had the fan kick it shut. This is when I started recording. The first little bit shows pretty much nothing, but it's there. According to other bystanders, this fan had been verbally harassing Jericho prior to the show. It's a shame that one fan had to ruin it for everyone, I hope he is found and charged. "

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx6exr7yV ws

Matt sent this account of the incident as well:

This afternoon after the WWE house show in Victoria, my girlfriend and I went to see the wrestlers leave the arena (this was my girlfriend's first WWE event and she wanted to see them leave). The following is exactly what happened right in front of me and about another 50 wrestling fans who happened to be there are well:

Chris Jericho exited the building, and walked over to his white rental vehicle. The crowd watching him leave was heckling him, but he was ignoring it. He gets in his vehicle and drives out of the arena parking lot, right past the crowd of us. As Jericho stops at a stop sign, a fan runs into the street and starts banging on his rental vehicle. At this point about 50 people rush into the middle of the intersection, blocking traffic in several directions, with no police and very inadequate and incompetent security (no WWE security guards period). My girlfriend and I were literally in the very front of the crowd, and this all went down literally five feet away from us.

Chris Jericho opens the door to his vehicle in the middle of the road, and the fan shuts the door back on him. Jericho then gets out of the vehicle completely, and punches the fan in the face! This prompts another fan to jump in (he was friends with the first) and attack Jericho, and Jericho scuffles with the second guy. At this point, a woman who knows the second guy who attacked Jericho starts to jump in and get in Jericho's face (because he was fighting her friend).

This is where the Save on Foods Rent-A-Security Guards stopped standing around watching this happen (I swear they thought they were watching a wrestling angle or something), and stepped in to separate Jericho and the woman, who was shoving him. Looking at Jericho's face he was obviously ready to explode and was restraining himself...but then the sh**storm happened...

He spit in the girl's face, and curses at her. The woman then spit in Jericho's face. Jericho then started cursing out the woman some more, and was getting ready to go back into his vehicle (as all of this is still happening in the middle of the road). While he was turning to go into his vehicle, one of the guys he was fighting shoved Jericho against his car. Another guy then shoved Jericho, and that time he bumped his head on the top of his vehicle. This was where Jericho seriously snapped.

After bumping his head, Jericho went into a sh**storm, throwing and swinging at everybody around him. He knocked one guy to the ground, told another fan that he was going to "f**king kill you". The woman who got spit on was still yelling at Jericho, so he pie faced her away from him (because the arena security couldn't keep them separated). As soon as he put his hands on the woman, ANOTHER fan jumps in and starts swinging at Jericho. Jericho grabs the guy and starts throwing him to the ground, and at this point I have to yank my girlfriend out of the way and into some other people because Jericho had literally thrown himself and the other guy into our direction and we would of been knocked down by the scuffle.

The arena security try again at this point to regain order, and two of them grab Jericho and start yelling at him to calm down, to which Jericho responds by taking a swing at one of the security guards and yelling at them to "do your f***ing job and get the f***ing police here". Then he shoves the second guard to the ground and tells him to "stay the f** off me".

Well, as that happens, the chick lunges at Jericho AGAIN, and this time Jericho actually punches the woman in the face, and shoves her to the ground. This stunned everyone, and the girl's friends ended up jumping in trying to fight Jericho, to which he fought all of them off, then storms into his vehicle swearing and speeds off, running through a stop sign in the process.

This whole thing happened over the span of about 5 minutes (of the street being blocked by this ordeal), and the woman ended up calling the cops on Jericho. They arrived 5 minutes after Jericho left, complete with a Paddy Wagon. The WWE's head of security did not see the incident, so he was there trying to figure out what happened along with the cops at the same time while yapping on his cell phone, and the woman is pressing charges against Jericho. As crazy and unbelievable this sounds, it can all be backed up with whatever police report was filed on the scene this afternoon.

I hope this made sense, as a lot of stuff happened. If you have any questions or need clarification, just ask. This was taped by several people with cell phone cameras, but there were only 50 people down there so I hope the video makes it way to the internet. Regardless, this went down as one of the craziest things I have ever seen in my life.

Note from Mike (Johnson, PWI reporter): It certainly seems as if the incident was sparked by fans acting like morons as Jericho was attempting to leave the venue and made worse by inadequate security. It certainly read and looked to me as if Jericho felt he needed to defend himself and get away from the situation and after watching the video, I certainly don't blame him for feeling that way. By all appearances, this was obviously a situation where fans were crossing the line.

Just another case of an idiotic wrestling fan. Fans like that are the reason why other normal wrestling fans (and to a lesser extent wrestling itself) is looked down upon.

Also, this.... http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/3632/1234 076020295to8.gif
