I really feel DX should lay down here, especially because you hit it right on the head, Miz and Morrison are in a lot of ways what Shawn and Hunter were when they formed DX. Younger, cocky, and really looking to truly break out and cement themselves. I also think it might be better if Miz and Morrison DON'T beat them clean either, because then they could put over how Miz and Morrison did what DX would have done back in the day. DX doesn't need this victory, but Miz and Morrison really do.

Having JBL and Russia Man get invovled could work, though like you said, logic and WWE aren't always the best of friends.

How long do you think Punk and Kofi will hold onto the tag belts?

HBK might be past his prime.
But I do not want to witness a match where the miz beats HHH.
That would be wrong in so many ways.

I actually see them having a decent run. So I say 5 months.

It's nice to know WWE believes in treating their tag champs equally. They've proven tonight that Punk and Kingston will be just as worthless and inept as Rhodes and Dibiase were, yay.

Otherwise it's been a pretty good show...although why the hell were Shane and Stephanie acting like Vince is dead or something?

Jericho. Fucking. Won.

This is the happiest RAW has ever made me in all the time I've watched it. Ever.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2008-11-04 00:04:15

Looks like WWE just did the title switch to pop the people who bought Cyber Sunday and because there was no logical way Jericho could win against those kind of odds.

But with the way Cena has been promoted, I have to figure Jericho is just here to be a transitional champion who will go to SS and drop the belt to Cena because they want to hold off on Batista/Cena 2 (and well they should)

Of course. They can't plug Batista vs. Cena again so soon. Especially not since it was a surprisingly good match the first time around (at least I was very fucking surprised.) But the fact remains, Jericho won tonight. He made history in the 800th episode of RAW by winning a World Championship in a REAL match (seriously, how often do we see that?) Hell, at best Cena won't win until Armageddon, which I think would be most likely. Even Edge got a title win over Cena when he was the champ.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2008-11-04 00:24:08

Y2J winning was awesome. I think that the company is holding Cena vs Batista 2 for WM 25 which is a good move given that they had a great match at SummerSlam.
What is the ONGOING MVP depush about? This guy has been taken every single pin for over two months now. MVP is now officially MVJ, J is for jobber. >:(

That is a good question. Sadly, I am not the man to answer this, since this was the first night I've seen ANY type of wrestling for a good 2-3 months or so.

But I am curious to know what the hell happened to the awesomeness that once was MVP? Why has he turned into a bitch all of a sudden? Whose dick did he bite off?

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2008-11-04 09:40:18

RAW sounds like it was pretty decent, I will be sure to watch it when it plays over here later today.

I look forward to what seems to be another Shane/Stephanie run at GM.
Always entertaining.

Jericho getting the win was a big suprise and I liked how it played out. I'm glad to see him with the title again though I think Avie is right in that Jericho will probably lose it to Cena when he gets back.

Speaking of returns, Orton in action was also a suprise. I hope we get a PPV bout between him and Punk.

The DX/Miz/Morrison match was good. I was really hoping for the impossible in this one but oh well. It was still an entertaining match.

Didn't they use the exact same finish the last time Regal won a battle royal? Last time he did that he became the GM. Now he is the #1 contender for the IC title. Bit odd to see a heel vs. heel match but we'll see what happens with that.

Man....MVP is on bad times right now. I hope he gets a win this year. WWE is foolish for jobbing him out.

HHH's streak is still alive! For those who don't know, he hasn't been pinned or submitted in 2008... And some people STILL defend him.

I get that Bourne was hurt, but why put Kofi in his place, and why have him get pinned? At least Punk pretty much dominated Orton before the DQ. Still, not a good start for the new tag champs.

Khali face turn, FTW??

I like that they did the title switch, although Jericho's comment about karma earlier in the night gave away the outcome. For those that don't remember, it was Cena who beat Jericho, which lead to him getting "Fired". Now Jericho finds himself with some chance at payback (Which makes sense from a continuity standpoint), and they can hold off Batista vs Cena II for Wrestlemania.

I have to say it, WWE actually did something right for once.

You've got to be kidding! Jericho won the title back already?! Holy fuck!

I was starting to think that Raw was impressive lately for letting Batista win at Cyber Sunday and having Punk and Kingston win the tag titles last week, but this is the far by most retarded thing the WWE has ever done.

Y2J is a more skilled and entertaining wrestler than Batista by far. Stop being a fanboy...

Wait, wait, wait... You'd rather have Batista as a World Champion than Jericho? Batista, the man who has about as many moves right now as Goldberg did back in the day? Batista, who hasn't had a decent promo all year? Over JERICHO? Fucking CHRIS JERICHO?

What are you, high? Granted, if they were going to give the title back to Jericho in the span of 10 days, they might as well have kept it on him... But the surprise was worth it, I think.

Oh they fucked Punk are you insane? They put over how many times Orton had him beat before Dibiase interfered. They threw this match out there with basically zero hype, and the heel was actually protected from the babyface here. I mean, shouldn't Punk logically be protected here? Shouldn't it be Orton getting his ass beat and looking like he would have gotten beat but for getting saved? WWE has a real friggin problem with this anymore, they don't do the smart or right thing when it comes to the booking.

More like that Orton is a bigger market for the WWE. Let's face it, like it or not, Orton will be a multiple times world champion, and the future of the WWE wrestling. Do you REALLY expect to see Punk owning him like a bitch? The truth is that Orton, among with Cena, HHH and The Undertaker are among the elites of the company, at least booking-wise. I understand that you WANT Punk to own Orton like a bitch for what he did. (costing him the title), but that is just not going to happen.

I missed ECW last night due to me having to watch the political race for class. I read the results though and seems like it was a throw away show. They did decide a #1 contender though, as Finley will face Matt Hardy for the ECW title.

Yeah, sounds pretty lame.
No bourne = No excitement.

Finley/Hardy is such a nothing match, I think the worst bit is they both suck at doing promos.
Annoying speech.

I never said "own him like a bitch" but to me it's stupid that a former world champion babyface is booked in such a way that it takes a mid-card heel attacking him to save him. It makes Punk look like he can't hang (which has been the WWE philosophy for awhile now). Punk COULD make WWE money, and could potentially be a top guy for them. But if they keep trying to destroy him all the time like they are, we will never truly know.

Orton had been out for action for months up to that point. To solidify his status as a top contender, it was neccessary to book him STRONG. Punk did showcase plenty of offense in the match, so I would not complain that he was not booked strong. Like I said, Orton is a top dog which YOU REFUSE to accept, so it is actually fortunate for Punk that he WON via DQ instead of getting pinned.

We know that it was just a matter of time, right?
The following has been posted on WWE.com

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of SmackDown Superstar Super Crazy as of Nov. 5, 2008. WWE wishes Super Crazy the best in all future endeavors.

I've also heard that Chuck Palumbo's contract is coming up soon and they will probably not renew it. Shame about Super Crazy, but it might just be the best for him. WWE was wasting his talent so maybe he can go elsewhere like back in Mexico.

It makes me sad to see someone like Super Crazy go, but it IS the best thing for him. They weren't doing jack shit with him, and they WEREN'T gonna do jack shit with him, so why bother keeping him? More to the point, why should he stay in a company that clearly judge's a superstar's marketability due to size (politics notwithstanding)? I'm sure he'll be better off in Japan or Mexico.

As far as CM Punk goes... Come on, people. We KNEW this was going to happen from the moment that he debuted against Justin Credible in ECW. We KNEW they were going to keep him down in some way, even if he DID win one of the top championships. And we also know WHY this is happening, don't we? We've said it many times before, it's the reason why ECW is what it is today... The WWE, no matter how awesome something is, will not push that said something if it's not an original. They'd rather push Cena, Orton, Edge, or anyone else over someone who actually made their name somewhere else BEFORE coming to WWE. It's happened before, you know it's going to keep happening until his eventual release between 2009 and 2010... and I'm being optimistic here.

Which is also why it saddens me to hear that Low Ki is trying out for WWE. He isn't gonna fly there, and we all fucking know it. =(

I accept that he is booked as a top guy, he is a top guy in their plans. But I'm saying I don't feel like they're making Punk one too, and unless we get some return matches here, it'll just be another blow to CM Punk with the start stop push syndrome WWE has used.

They aren't trying to book punk as a top guy brcause he isn't a top guy.
He is midcard averagness.
I don't know why you get all worked up about him.

CM Punk? Mid-card? Are you serious?

If CM Punk is a mid-carder, I'd LOVE to hear what a main-event superstar is in your opinion. No, I'm dead serious. I want to hear who YOU think is worthy of being in the spotlight, and why. And you better think about your answer, sir.
