I agree. Well, Punk was out of the spotlight because their match was not voted yet so close by 3%.

Most of the fans nowdays are just kids, they love cryme tyme.

The fans have always been kids.
Cryme time still sucks.

But look how little they matter thanks to the way they've been booked, ditto the tag champs. WWE should be looking at the fact that fans didn't vote for a title match as a scary commentary on how bad they've booked all parties involved there. Should but they won't.

Also, fuck Jeff Hardy. Seriously, let me tell you guys exactly what will happen if they give Hardy the belt and he fails again. Big ass headline about WWE's druggie champion getting fired, and wrestling gets to look like shit in the press again, it'll be more stuff like Benoit in terms of terrible media coverage, and probably regulation on the business. Is that what you really want? You really want the business looking bad again because of some useless jackhole that has done nothing but squander his talents and the opportunities given to him?

Ah damn. Batista is champ. I wasn't ready for Jericho to lose the title. I honestly wanted to see him keep it at least until WM, but nope that didn't happen. My guess is that jerivho will be the one Cena goes through upon his return.

The tag team match result doesn't suprise me much. Sure Punk and Kofi are popular, but the tag champs? They barely get heat let alone a decent reaction. Miz/morrison and Cryme Time at least played to the crowd and showed some sort of rivalry. The voting was close though.

Is this it for Jeff Hardy? Will HHH get a new opponent while Jeff gets placed back down the card or will they continue this fued?

So HTM did get enough votes to make an apperance. It was good that Piper and Goldust were able to show up as well. That sounds like it was a funny moment, wish I could have seen that.

Have to think it will be HHH v Kozlov at the next PPV

Big show won't be getting a shot because he didn't succeed in what vicki wanted.
But I also would think he v taker would be over so it will be interesting to see where they go to now.

Yep, that is the only possibility left.

It will be a rubber match at SS. Remember, each man won a PPV and there has to be a kind of winner takes all match for the next PPV to cap the feud.

At 10/27/08 08:39 AM, Shaun wrote: But if he isn't a chance to win the title why keep him in the title chase.

Because they can't bury him no matter how much they want to. He can have good matches with H and he can sell PPV's. I don't expect him to be focused on coming up though, but when they started this feud up, Hardy hadn't had the airport incident which has probably convinced them not to even let him near another main event program.

Put him in a feud away from a title or give a lesser title a push by having him compete for that.

I think that's what will happen now. The problem here is that you have Edge taking time off, you have Taker occupied, you don't have a lot of other guys that screamed main eventer. So Jeff was good for a holding pattern thing while they built Kozlov (of course where do we go when that inevitably fizzles out?). But yeah, I see Hardy heading down the card now, and probably lucky if he gets a US title match at this point. He has no one to blame but himself, and hopefully WWE will stop squandering opportunities on this guy.

Would it be wrong of them to go back to Hardy/MVP? I mean, if only just to push MVP back up the card a bit to make him a viable contender for H's belt.

A casket match for Friday seems appropriate since it's on Halloween. Been a while since I saw one of those. Next week is a three hour broadcast of Raw so that will be interesting too. We know that DX will be taking on Miz and Morrison and Batista will be defending the title in a cage matvh against Jericho.

Raw was....a tad boring last night. I honestly had a tought time staying interested through the whole thing. I liked the Bourne/Rey match though.

There is lots of options when that fizzles out.
Obviously Show will get a shot due to vicki.
Then you have edge and taker involved it that feud.

Fatal 4 way between those guys in three about 3 months time is my prediction.

Why booking Y2J as Batista's bitch? His WHC run was by far the weakest I had seen in recent years. >:( I mean, the guy worked his ass off with the company for 17, 18 years, it was a shame that he was booked as Batista's personal bitch.

Kinda weird: Cena and WWE being sued over Cena's enterance music.

Yeah I don't like the fact that Jericho didn't seem to have a chance against Batista. In the weeks leading up to the match they made Jericho lose and look weak. I had wanted to see Jericho hold on to the title a bit longer than he did too.

It is hard to have anyone against batista and not make them look like a bitch.
The guy is a fucking beast.

Y2J is a midget next to him.

Terrible booking, enough said. Batista wants, he gets...I am sick and tired of him taking all the spotlights. I hope that RKO destroyes him when he comes back.

Y2J is a midget next to him.

Y2J had great amount of heel heat as the WHC, why not letting him keep the title. The creative team is just AWFUL.

I'm a huge jericholic, but the guy can't hold the title.
Not when he is facing guys like batista.

If he was feuding with that straight edge pepsi tattooed idiot, Mysterio, Christian, Cena..
Or someone along those lines it would work.
But against Batista, it just looks silly if jericho wins.

What is so special about Batista? I never found him a good work in the ring. He is average at best in mic. Unfortunately, I just cannot see why he is such a big deal.

Nonsense! If Edge could beat Taker a few times, why couldn't Y2J beat Batista a few time via cheating? If you say that Batista and Taker are in the same league, you should go to hospital to check your head.

It isn't just Vince, the fans love it too.

If they didn't the following guys would have never made a dime:

Hulk Hogan
Kevin Nash
Ultimate Warrior

Those are the top three but I'm sure we can find more. Work doesn't matter as much as look and promo do, but mostly it's look. Batista looks like a killer, he's a good worker I think when motivated, a decent promo and people get behind that. My big issue with Batista is the tendency to boo boo face (which he seems to be over now), and that he's an older guy that is probably one horrible injury away from the end of his career, so I question building around him so much and not really bringing anybody up to that level "just in case" or whatever.

But yeah, don't blame it all on Vince, the fans want guys like Batista too, if they didn't, he'd be worth as much as say a Khali or a Snitsky is.

No way. Jericho has beaten plenty of opponents much larger than him. So the idea of him being able to beat Batista isn't far fetched to me. I mean look at Rey, he's the smallest guy on the roster but we've seen him get victories over guys like Kane.

The booking for Batista/jericho wasn't that good from a Jericho supporters perspective, but WWE apparently wanted to put the belt back in Batista since they booked him as nearly unbeatable. I expect him to fued with JBL when he is through with Jericho, and perhaps Orton will get in the mix. Throw in a returning Cena and we'll see what happens.

If Batista and Cena fued over the belt do you think one of them will turn heel?

If one of them had to turn heel, then it would have to be Batista from a merchandise standpoint. But I could see them doing the sickening "mutual dislike, but I still respect you, let's win the tag titles" thing.

It has been a long time since Cena was a heel. I'd like to see how he fares as a heel. After all, he gets booed regularly by the fans as a face...

So...the SS build, but with a belt on the line now? Ugh.

I dunno where you go here, maybe Cena/Batista again and then you can do the Batista/Orton match at WM. But honestly I think at this point there's more interest in Cena/Batista 2 then there is in Batista/Orton 1, so I think you go with Batista and Orton probably as the feud of the now.

Yeah that makes sense. They could have Cena fued with Jericho while that is going on to hold off on that fued. Cena/Batista is going to happen. Maybe as a WM match.

Orton/Cena has been done before as well but that too could come off good. And of course HBK will find his way into the mix somehow, maybe he and Cena can have a number one contenders match sometime down the road. Lots of possibilities here and since Cena is going to be in the main event they will have to find room for everyone else. I have no idea what they would do with JBL. He and Cena have fueded several times already.

JBL should be in the mid-card getting new babyfaces over. JBL is past his prime, he's done, his time is over.

Well said. I see Batista feuding with Cena first and then Orton. Remember Orton caused Punk to lose his WHC, so there is a Punk vs Orton feud there. Apparently, Orton will come on top in that feud, I just hope that the creative team does not make Punk a complete bitch against Orton even though I am a huge RKO fan.

Punk and Orton could have a good fued since both guys are very capable in the ring. I also suspect that Orton will come out on top from that fued, but I'm sure Punk will get some decent offense and victories here and there. His current fued with the former tag champs will help things along too.

Yeah, I'd imagine Big Show would get involved or Viki adding stipulations to the match as it goes along.

800th episode of Raw tomorrow. In those three hours we'll see a cage match between Batista and Jerivho as well as a tag match between Miz/Morrison vs.DX.

I know Miz and Morrison are going to lose tomorrow, but I'd like it if they didn't. They are like a modern day DX while the originals are getting older and past that part of their career. Oh well, it will be a good match anyway.

If Taker wins via DQ, I wonder whom HHH will face at Survival Series since Vickey said that Kozlov was not going to get a title shot unless he could beat Taker.

The results of the two matches are very predictable. THERE IS NO WAY that Batista and DX will lose. I just hope that they have a good show.
