It's more about that lucrative indian market. Khali is huge in his home country, but to me that just means you have to make sure he's a featured attraction on whatever show he's on, not a main draw fighting the champion.
My sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Killer Kowalski. A true Hall of Famer, it's sad to see the legends passing on.

Exactly, they should use him squash jobbers if they cannot get him off the screen. There is no way that Khali is a maineventer considering how badly he wresles week in and week out.
I've been hearing that Khali's knees are in terrible condition so that may be why he was not put into the scramble match...That and it would suck if he was in it.
Another legend passes away. You will be missed.

I have no problem with Khali in a mid-card feud, or in a feud with Triple H if the belt is NOT involved. That's my main problem with the idea of him and H round 2, H has the belt. As long as H has the belt, they should not waste his time and his talent on a sack of crap like Khali who will never see a belt again unless they get into a situation where they can't think of another believable guy to put it on. Now if the point here is Khali will screw H in the scramble and have the title change hands (hell, if at least ONE of the belts doesn't change hands, why have three scrambles?) then there's no problem here for me. H gets a quick feud to keep him away from the new champion for a little bit, and they get the Indian fans happy that they're guy is wrestling one of the top dudes in the company.
So in conclusion, I don't have a problem with Khali used in short and small doses, but I don't want to see a slot in a title program wasted on him.
Of the three title matches which one do you think is more likely to change hands? My guess is at least the ECW title will go to someone new, but the other two I'm not so sure of. I'd like to see Punk retain the title, Whats interesting about the HHH one is that everyone else has never been WWE champion, so if someone does get the belt it will be a first time champion. I could see Jeff Hardy or MVP to win. Maybe Matt Hardy will win the ECW title and Jeff win the WWE title. That would be pretty cool.

The only possible change is Punk, any other title change as a result of the scrambles will be very temporary.
As in possible a few day long championship reign.
Punk isn't title material.
The Y2J vs HBK may be canceled due to shawns torn triceps i'll go in to detial.
The torn triceps injury Shawn suffered at last night's RAW taping could keep him out of action for up to six months.
One has to believe that this could be another factor in Shawn eventually retiring. He was saying at one point last year that he didn't want to return from his knee injury and then said he was going to only work a limited schedule and now this happens. Shawn will more than likely come back from this injury but his long term future in the business is questionable.
The injury came last night when Shawn dove through the bottom rope onto Lance Cade. Michaels landed really awkward and then held his arm for the rest of the time he was out there. One observer described it as looking "pretty sick."

I think he's doing good for himself and deserves the title.
Here is what will happen on raw tonight if you wanted to know.
Credit: Ryan Gray of WrestlingNewsWorld.com
This stuff will all air tonight on a taped edition of WWE RAW:
* The show opens with a Raw vs. SmackDown 2008 promo followed by a memorial video for "Killer" Walter Kowalski.
* Randy Orton comes out to kick off the show. No pyro to open the show as Orton gets on the mic. He says that he is still injured and that Beth Phoenix, Santino Marella, Cody Rhodes, and Ted DiBiase hurt Raw. He said that CM Punk disgraces the World Heavyweight Championship belt. He says that Beth is embarrassing herself and he could beat Santino. Orton says that DiBiase and Rhodes aren't priceless but worthless. He says that he would love to take the belt from CM Punk tonight but he is not medically cleared. CM Punk hits the right and says that Orton is jealous of him but he cannot worry about him tonight because he has a Battle Royal later in the show.
* Orton leaves only for JBL to come out and tell Punk that he is going to win the World Heavyweight Championship at Unforgiven. Kane comes out to a babyface pop.
He says that Rey Mysterio won't be at Unforgiven because he's still in hell. Batista comes out to a huge roar from the crowd. Batista cleans house and goes to the back.
* A five man Battle Royal is announced for later tonight with the Scramble match participants.
* Kofi Kingston b. Charlie Haas who came out as John Cena. Match was pretty one-sided with Kofi dominating.
* Theodore Long and Mike Adamle say that they have an agreement to do the ECW Battle Royal on Raw tonight. The match is up next.
* ECW Champion Mark Henry w/Tony Atlas b. Matt Hardy, Chavo Guerrero, The Miz, & Finlay. Mark Henry dominates by eliminating Chavo and The Miz at once then Finlay. Henry finally eliminates Matt Hardy for the win.
* Chris Jericho is shown backstage signing the legal papers for his match with Shawn Michaels at Unforgiven.
* Jamie Noble w. Layla b. William Regal. Regal dominated throughout most of the match but Noble pulled out the win.
* Candice Michelle, Mickie James, & Kelly Kelly b. WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix, Katie Lea, & Jillian Hall when Candice pinned Beth Phoenix. Before the match Beth addressed Randy Orton insulting her during the opening segment.
* A promo video for the Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho feud is shown. The contract signing for their match at Unforgiven is plugged for later tonight.
* WWE Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella b. D-Lo Brown. D-Lo dominated the match until he missed the Lo Down Frogsplash and Santino was able to steal the win with a pinfall.
* John Morrison & The Miz vs. Cryme Tyme
- Morrison and The Miz attack Cryme Tyme before they get to the ring. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase add to the attack. JTG gets hit with a DDT. Rhodes and DiBiase take their World Tag Team Championship belts back.
* Raw Battle Royal
- Batista is out first and says his gameplan is to destroy everyone. Orton comes out to ringside to do commentary. JBL, CM Punk, and Kane also enter the match. Rey Mysterio is suppose to, but he is in "hell." CM Punk eliminates Batista and then JBL. Kane then eliminates Punk for the win.
* After the match CM Punk walks over to Orton and throws water in his face. Rey Mysterio comes out next to a huge pop and immediately starts beating on Kane. They fought outside the ring, then Rey reversed a chokeslam sending Kane into the crowd. At this point the crowd was going nuts... really hot crowd tonight.
* Chris Jericho/Shawn Michaels contract signing is up next.
* Jerry 'The King' Lawler comes into the ring as the moderator. Adamle says that neither man can touch the other or the match at Unforgiven will be called off.
* Jericho comes out to the ring first. Shawn Michaels is next. They dismiss the security and say they wouldn't do anything to jeopardize the match. Jericho tells Shawn that he's not sorry for what he did and his kids won't be watching because of what he will do to him. They sign the contract and then lay into each other to take Raw off the air.

Disagree, Either Hardy would be credible as a champ for either brand. MVP would be credible as well. I think the WWE title could be the most easily changeable, but I could see WWE playing it safe and flipping the ECW belt because they want to have H in a title match for the switch to MyNetwork.
As in possible a few day long championship reign.
Possible, but again, I think you are severely devalueing the talents involved in the SD! and ECW scrambles.
Punk isn't title material.
Bullshit, you've obviously only watched him in WWE, where they've done basically nothing to make anyone believe he could probably even be a credible mid-level champion, his work everywhere else would show you what a great great talent Punk is.
The Honk-O-Meter is made of win. That is all

Look who he is up against, each and everyone of the wrestlers in that scramble would be a better champion in each and every way.
Punk has got nothing.
Hey idiot-buster, please don't post spoilers here. Spoilers tend to ruin the show for me. Posting the link is fine for people who want to read them. Thanks.
Santino is so damn funny. And Hass is starting to get there as well.
Raw was ok last night. There were some decent matches to be had and it was good to finally see Rey Mysterio. I hope they give him some time to talk next week to explain what Kane is rambling on about since Rey looked just fine.
I enjoyed Orton's speech at the start of the show. say what you will about him, but he sure knows how to cut a promo.

Each and every one? JBL is hideously slow on the mic and in the ring, Kane is limited in the ring, and his mic work might be interesting if it wasn't the exact same thing we've heard millions of times from him, Rey Misterio is in the same situation as Punk booking wise, except he was booked even more horribly, and Batista is not great in the ring.
Batista is the most credible person there, but Punk is better than him in the ring and on the mic.
Pep said it, the ONLY guy in that match who could be a better champ then Punk maybe is Batista. Punk has so much ability that WWE hasn't even really tried to get across to people yet, and from what I'm hearing they have finally realized that since he's done such a good job anchoring the house shows. There was some potential talk of getting the belt off him to build momentum to him then winning it back and I assume being treated like a real champ. But I think if he and Orton are headed towards a program, it's better to just leave it on him for now and let he and Orton feud for it in November. Then you can do something where Orton can build like a new evolution, screw Punk out of the belt, and do a few months of Punk trying to take Orton down and win it back.
I know some of you won't really care about this but here is something for a quick change of pace.
Yet to debut Smackdown star Carlito recently sat down for an interview with Primerahora.com to discuss a number of issues including his current WWE status. On the subject of his current whereabouts, Carlito said, "I requested some time off for me because it's been four years without stopping and I'm taking advantage of this time to see the sport from afar. See what I need, what changes I need to make. But I will return soon."
You can read the entire, translated from Spanish version of the article, at Carlito's website.
I hope Carlito makes his debut on SD sometime this year. I still like the guy despite his backstage reputation.

I think the time away from each other might be good for both sides. As much as you can say WWE has never really gotten behind Carlito, the fact is that when you have a bad attitude, and with just the way the company runs the impetus is on Carlito to shape up. There IS a glass ceiling, but it's not impossible to break through it. Jericho has elevated himself despite a crappy return, Punk is starting to get booked a little stronger and is getting seemingly more respect in the eyes of management lately. Sometimes you just have to shut up, do what they want, do it the best you can, and hope you can push through to that next level. The route Carlito has been taking has done him no favors thus far, so hopefully he's serious about making changes and coming back with renewed focus. He can still be a player and a great talent for them, but he's got to stop holding himself back by believing he's worth so much more then he is currently.
ECW was pretty good last night. Well, the main event anyway. I liked how everyone got to hit a big move on Henry. Seeing Dreamer actually hit a top rope splash was great! Rest of the show I didn't pay as much attention to, but at least Super Crazy got a win.

Very good ECW last night, not only the main event, but Ricky Ortiz has really grown on me. His wrestling seems to have picked up, I like his mic work and love the rally towel idea. What seemed like a boring wrestler at first, has quickly turned into someone I see a lot of potential in.
WWE.com has posted the following statement regarding Mick Foley:
Three-time WWE Champion Mick Foley allowed his contract with WWE to expire on August 31, 2008. WWE and Foley have mutually agreed to sever businees ties at this time as the former SmackDown announcer pursues other opportunities.
Well it happened. Expect to see Foley in TNA sometime in the near future. It's a shame but if thats what he wants to do then let him give it a try.

I fell asleep during ecw, it might of just been because i was tired.
maybe.
I've been hearing rumors that Joey Mercury could be coming back to WWE. Not sure how true it is but it would be interesting to see what they would do with him.
I'm looking forward to SD tonight. I hope we get to see more of Taker as well as the MVP/Jeff Hardy fued.

Damn it seems TNA was just waiting for this moment. They're already promoting Mick Foley on their website. Anyway I'm really looking forward to Unforgiven this Sunday. I believe Triple H will retain his title along with CM Punk. But if "The Brian Kendrick" walks out with the title I will lose faith in the WWE lol. Anyway here's the Mick Foley promotional picture from TNA's website...

I missed SD last night but read the results. I know they are booking Kendrick to be a top player but it still suprises teh heck out of me that he got a win over Jeff Hardy. Thing about reading the results is it lacks detail like match quality and so on. How was the show to you guys?

It is time to predict Unfogiven matches, boys! :)
1. HHH wins the SD! Scramble match: Let's face it, the only other guy who has a chance to win the title is Jeff Hardy. Had he not been foolish enough to fail the drug test for the second time, he would have been the champ. I do not see the company giving him the title just yet since he only returned for less than two months.
2. C.M Punk wins the RAW Scramble match: I am taking a big chance here. The match itself looks like another Batista shot, and I will not be surprised at all if he wins. But Punk has been surprisingly awesome as the WHC. By winning the scramble match, it will give him tons of credibilities that he needs to establish himself as a top dog. If the company is wise, they will let Punk retain the title.
3. Mark Henry wins the ECW Scramble match: Henry has been built as a monster heel and we will see him feuding with Matt Hardy for a few more PPVs (with Matt chasing the title). So Henry will win the match tomorrow and further establish himself as the "unstoppable Juggernaut".
4. Crime Time win tag team gold: They have been impressive as of late, I wonder how they will fare with the belts on their waists.
5. McCool def Maryse: McCool is The Undertaker's girlfriend in REAL life. We all know what kind of influence Taker has in the company. I do not see McCool losing the title in her first PPV defense.
6. HBK def Y2J: Y2J has put HBK on the shelf and hurt his wife. It makes perfect sense that HBK would get his revenge here.
Any thoughts?

I think the point of Kendrick and Benjamin winning is to try and elevate them since they won't win sunday. It's saying to the audience "These guys COULD win" it's the idea of trying to increase interest in the match and say everyone can potentially win and nobody is just there to be the designated jobber that will make sure the stars don't have to lay down. That's what you want in a match, you want to believe people are in these situations because they could maybe win it, even if you know they won't. If you're treating someone as a complete "throwaway" then honestly, why even waste TV time on them? If you ain't trying to build the guy up, don't even bother devoting significant tv time or opportunities to him really.
Those are great predictions, I agree with all of them this time. I would be nice to see Matt Hardy get the belt. I'm guessing they will spread the scramble matches out so they will probably have the tag title match and womens match in between some of them. That way it isn't one after the other.
