HBK's back! I mean, I thought he would come back afterwards, but it took some time so I was getting a bit worried. Am I the only one that find Jericho sickening? Anyway, I hope they meant a deadly match by saying no rules.

Lol, looks like Glammarella became the shortest relationship in history. Santino's title is on the line tonight against Kingston, I'm putting my bets on Kingston. I know Santino just got the IC title, but come on. I can't imagine him walking out the winner after that situation he got in tonight.

Cena may be out for a while due to neck injury. I hope it isn't too severe and I hope he has a speedy recovery.

With Cena out they added Rey Mysterio into the main event title match. Thats a little out of the blue, but I guess they couldn't think of anyone else to fill the spot. That and it works with the upcoming fued with Kane.

Raw was alright. Not the best show in my opinion, but still ok. The opening match between CM Punk and JBL was very good, and I enjoyed the Kofi/Santino match. Seeing Primo debut against "Charlito" was amusing.

Jericho and HBK are going to turn it up a notch at Unforgiven. Possible show stealer right there.

As was my understanding, Pat is done as a day to day kind of person. But he comes back and does The Rumble, and I guess you can add the Scrambles now too (we're also getting an ECW title scramble too, which I think is good from the perspective of they should book the ECW title as more in the same realm of importance as the other two belts). So yeah, Pat's not a regular, he just comes in for special projects.

Is anyone really looking forward to a Kane/Rey Mysterio fued?

Vince is :). He loves the idea of the guy who wins despite the odds, it's probably the biggest reason he books Punk the way he does. The problem is that eventually you have to shift gears and make the guy prove himself because the problem with an underdog story in wrestling is that wrestling has no end. It's not like a novel where you can write the idea of the underdog wins the belt, everyone rejoices, the end. In wrestling, there's always next week, so those storylines have a limited shelf life.

I'd rather him be in a competitive fued, so a guy like jericho would fit the bill nicely.

I'd love to see him and my boy Punk hook it up as you also suggested. Jericho could be a good feud for him too.

I know this is really off topic, but I like JR. I like Big Show. I hate it when JR calls a Big Show match. The entire time he's out there JR gives us his measurments. I don't care what his ring size is. I understand the man is big. It's part of his name! I get it! Stop with the useless info!!!!

I don't think that's something to blame on JR. That sounds to me like one of those things Vince MAKES JR harp on during a match. Because to Vince that's "story telling"

I feel sorry for Cena getting that neck injury. I just hope he doesn't need that neck fusion thing, because injuries of that nature always seem to plague a wrestlers career, and would definately hurt him long after he retires.
Sometimes these injuries can be a blessing in disguise because it forces WWE to book things differently to make up for lost talent, but considering they already have Punk at the top, things seem shook up anyway.

Cena didn't need fusion surgery, they pulled out a bone fragment and he should be good to go in 2-4 months.

Thats great to hear, I'm glad he doesn't need that surgery and can be back in action sooner than later. Like I've said before, I may not be a Cena fan, but I never want anyone to get really hurt.

I keep hearing that Mick Foley may go to TNA.. What are some of your thoughts on that? I hope he doesn't go honestly, since TNA will probably botch everything...

Yeah, it's good that he doesn't need the surgery. Cena definately is a draw, so would be a big loss for the WWE if he was out for a whole year.

I'm not really a fan of TNA, especially when they're pulling in every has-been and mediocre star they can find from the WWE.
I suppose it depends what kind of role he was in, but I can't help but think they'd mess it up regardless.

I just hope he really didn't need fusion, and it's not a case of him pulling an Angle and thinking the simpler surgery with the faster recovery time was the way to go. Angle's proven that's a bad bet, and it's better to take the year off and come back strong and healthy like Edge did.

I do hear they've got a t-shirt in the works so...we'll see. If he's coming in to wrestle, it's gonna suck, if he's coming in to be a manager, that could be good, broadcaster, could be good if he's gonna mellow out West and Tenay, if as an on-air authority figure, could also be good. If he only talks, good, if he wrestles, bad.

ECW was really great last night. From start to finish each guy put on an intense match that really showed that they wanted to be in the hunt for the ECW title. My favorite match of the night goes to the opening bout between Matt Hardy and Morrison. These two work very well together and put on one hell of a match. I find it a little strange that Miz ends up going to the PPV and not Morrison though, but I'm glad he gets a chance at it.

What I like best about the ECW scramble is that I can see Henry losing the title to any of these guys. While I like the lineup for the SD side, I don't think HHH will lose, and I hope Punk keeps the title for the Raw side.

But like I said, this was one of the best shows ECW has done. No BS, just straight to the wrestling with each match being important.

They could at least have one scramble in a cage, another have falls count anywhere and the third on the roof of a 87 story building.

Make it a little interesting.

I suppose, if they're going to be experimenting with the other two scrambles, they need one with all established stars to headline the show. Still, Kane/Batista could've worked as a singles match (though with Cena out if messes up their options quite a bit).

The Smackdown Scramble is the Scramble I'm anticipating the most. I'm very intrigued to see how they use MVP, Shelton and Kendrick in the match. As it's been said numerous times, this match is a chance to elevate these three into at least upper-mid card status (although Shelton and MVP are arguably already there). I'll be looking forward to seeing if these three are given a chance to shine rather than all the focus be given to Triple H and Jeff Hardy.

With five good workers, this could elevate them all somewhat if H really is avoiding his old tricks.

The ECW Scramble looks very solid to me. We've got the monster heel champion in Mark Henry, the fan-favourite in Matt Hardy, the dark horse in The Miz, and the veterans in Finlay and Chavo Guerrero. This match could be surprisingly good, as any of these men could come out of the 20 minutes as ECW Champion, and it'll be interesting to see who it is.

Well, I've heard good things about ECW recently, so if this is anything similar, and with Pat Patterson booking, it should be quite entertaining. Can't see any of the titles changing hands here, unless they want to destroy Punk.

ROFL! You don't know Mic Foley these days then...Foley has proven he will go where the most money is, especially because whatever love and respect he had for WWE years ago has definitely gone out the window now, The Hardcore Diaries is completely about how that love and respect has gone out the window for him now and he's all about who's gonna give him the most. If WWE won't pay him a lot and let him do what he wants and TNA will? He will happily go to TNA.

You missed a good show man. Watch the highlights if you can, especially the Matt Hardy/Morrison match.
I hope you had a good time at the US Open though. How did that go?

I don't think I have the MyTV channel....That sucks. I'm going to miss watching SD. :(

I always liked how foley and angle interact.
I would like to see foley on TNA.
Not as an announcer though, he really was a horrible annoucer and he wouldn't suit TNA in that role at all.

I don't think I do either, so I checked my TV listings. It's still being shown on the CW... for the next 2 weeks, at least.

Unless tvguide.com is lying to me.

It doesn't change until October. Definitely MyNetwork has less penetration, and that's why getting tossed from CW is not good for WWE, but I'm sure the hope for MN is that with WWE they will have the fans who can't get that show badgering their cable companies to carry that network so they can see it. Not a bad plan if it works for them, of course, they need to do what Spike did, and what CW didn't and that's use the wrestling to be a lead in to programming that audience will care about. It's worthless to be paying WWE for that product if they're only getting ratings off it but that audience doesn't stick around for anything else.

My only hope is that they do what they are doing with ECW rght now, in that they have a repaly of it on their website the next day for people who don't have the channel.

I'm not happy with SD moving but hopefully it will do better on its new channel in October.

That's probably WWE's best bet, to try and do either a replay on the website, or some kind of highlight job of maybe just the matches. It's easier to take an hour show and put it up then it is for putting up a two hour show I'm sure.

SD! was an enjoyable show again this week. The Vickie stuff was pretty ugh, but the actual wrestling content was pretty good. I do have to scratch my head as to why Khali was out there messing with the H again...don't tell me this is where we're headed for No Mercy, unless the belt is gonna be flipped at Unforgiven. No, even then I don't want Khali in a major program.

SD was great! MVP vs Jeff Hardy and HHH vs. Benjamin was just plain awesome! I also like how each person got a chance to talk about their being in the scramble match. They really did a good job hyping the event.

I like how Big Show is doing things. He's funny too.

I've got to admit... I've never really been a huge fan of SD!, but after the '08 draft man, I gotta say... they've really been stepping up their game.

Seems like everything (with the exception of the H / Kahli feud )is falling into place very well - I'm really digging the Hardy / MVP / Benjamin feud, and I hope they just keep going with this. A 3-man rivalry could make SD!'s Scramble very interesting.

Show's transition from debuting as a major heel to almost a face with some slight heel is also kind of interesting - I've always been a fan of this guy, and the way they're having him do things is just awesome, in a hilarious sort of way.

And what of this Undertaker scenario... Where do you think they're gonna put Edge back into all this? Sort of an "uneasy alliance" with 'Taker could almost work, only to have Edge screw 'Taker out of something and get back on Vickie's good side?

First time I've been excited about SD! in long, long time.
