Yet ANOTHER promotional poster has been released for September's Unforgiven PPV.

The latest one is a take-off on one of the movie posters used for the recent box office blockbuster "Batman: The Dark Night".

Surprise, surprise, WWE's latest acquisition from TNA has been released. Chris "Braden Walker" Harris is now gone.
Do you think this is to do with his high opinion of himself, or his lackluster few weeks in ECW?

It was hard not putting any references to his physique in there.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2008-08-07 23:36:10

Crowd was chanting "booooring" all through his matches so his inability to win over the crowd probably had something to do with it. Shame since he's better than what he was showing. Oh well. More room on the card for everyone else.

I think probably the lackluster performances, he was just doing bad bad bad. No reason for WWE to waste their time on somebody who just isn't working out because they have a long line of people it can work with.

It was hard not putting any references to his physique in there.

I think that's actually part of the reason too. WWE rarely likes guys who don't look like they're in shape and taking care of themselves, even long tenured people like Mark Henry have had battles with management over the years due to his weight and his look. I think when you're look isn't great, your performances stink, and you've never really proven you can carry a company elsewhere, WWE just isn't going to spend a lot of time on you at this point. Maybe Harris can go somewhere else, get his passion back, get things straight, and then maybe he'll be ready for the big time.

For those who saw ECW, how would you rate Matt Strikes announcing performance? I am curious to know what you guys think about that.

I hope Mick doesn't quit the announcing job on SD. He and JR make a great team and he's still funny as hell.

Hardcore Holly's Future With WWE Looking Bleak

Hardcore Holly has always been one of those wrestlers where a lot of fans wonder when he'll get released. Time and time again, though, he manages to avoid being released during WWE's annual spring cleaning of talent.

This time around, though, he might not be as fortunate.

Hardcore Holly has a reputation of being a bit of a jerk with younger wrestlers. He works very stiff in the ring with the younger talent. Some may defend him by saying that he's just testing them out, but a lot of others believe that he's only being rough with the younger wrestlers because he's bitter. Combine that with some of the harsh things that he does backstage, and it's not hard to see why he has a bad reputation.

However, Hardcore Holly has friends in high places.

Word has it that Hardcore Holly is going to need those friends in high places if he's going to keep his job with WWE this time.

Closing Thoughts

I'd have no problems with Hardcore Holly being released. I never like seeing a wrestler released because that's how they make their living. However, Hardcore Holly's reputation of being a jerk makes it easy to not feel bad.

I thought he did well. Him and Todd seemed to work well together and it's interesting having two new guys learning the ropes and what not.

I'll be dissapointed to see Mick go, however I'll be happy to see Tazz on Smackdown.

Just in time for the declining ratings on Raw, Randy Orton has been cleared to wrestle. Now, at least I can blame him when Raw gets boring again.

I'm not a fan of screwy finishes on something where people pay their own money to watch wrestling, but this is a big money match, and needs to be on Mania.
Hell, I think they should have Orton attack Cena or Dave before the match so they can actually build to the first in ring meeting of the two.

Mic is talking like he won't be back in the booth. Again it's a shame because I thought he did a good job, but on the flip side, Tazz has done his time on ECW, and he deserves to go back to one of the big shows. Striker love him or hate him (and I know of at least one person who really loves him, just because he sells big for you don't make him great though Jason!!!) is a good talker, and was going nowhere and probably headed towards being released. Foley isn't hurting for cash (so far as I know) he can always come back in another role, or he go somewhere else and be an important figure there (remember his ROH run?), so in some ways this could be for the best as it opens up opportunities for others.

Far as Holly, I'm not a fan of the guy, he's stiff with people, he's had instances of what I feel is downright abuse and what has he really done to draw? His short ECW run was very good, but he definitely went down a bit since. I've also heard that Holly has apparently become a negative in the back and that was the biggest and best reason to keep him around, because he's always been perceived as sort of a locker room sheriff, who keeps people from getting too far out of line, and teaching respect. If he's gotten to where that's no longer the case, where is the upside in a guy who hurts people, is getting older, and is often times injured? If you can't bring anything to the table, then WWE shouldn't bother keeping you around when they've got a developmental system and a main roster still loaded with guys waiting for their opportunity to shine.

Amidst online reports of Mick Foley possibly departing from World Wrestling Entertainment, the Long Island Press contacted him to ask him about. Foley responded to their phone messages with the following statement:

"I can't say much until after my contract expires, which is September 1st. But at this point, there is a good chance, through mutual agreement, that I will not be renewing the contract," Foley said while leaving a phone message Thursday evening. "Creatively, the announcing job wasn't working out too well."

No, screwy finish fine, but you need to have the match. Doing something where people are bait and switched is just inexcusable and pisses off the paying audience and makes them less likely to pay next time. WWE should have held off here, but the fact is they booked the bout so now they need to have it, screwy finish can be done, but they need to actually have them lock up, and work to that point.

*Moore. Shame. I thought him and Yang had something decent going.

-- Domino

Without a Duece(sp?) there could never be a domino.

-- Nunzio

It was only a matter of time.

-- James Curtis

Already been mentioned. He showed us next to nothing during his ECW run.

-- Referee Nick Patrick

Always thought he was a decent official...

Domino doesn't surprise me. If one of the two of them had to be released, then I'm glad it's Jimmy Snuka's son who survived.

Him they're repackaging. The rest it isn't a real surprise, except for maybe Nunzio/Guido because I'd kind of thought he'd settled into a situation where they viewed him as a very competent and dependable jobber for them.

Shame about Moore and Nunzio, I thought they would be with WWE for as long as wanted to wrestler. Wonder if TNA would take Moore back?

Rest I don't mind as much since they really weren't doing much, thoug the ref getting fired suprises me.

Can't see what TNA would really do with Nunzio, except treat him like WWE did, though he could bring something to the X-Division, Nunzio might be best served taking dates with ROH like he did in the early days of the company.

Moore? If I'm TNA, I'm still smarting over how he burned me the last time. They pushed him pretty hard, even trademarked that "Prince of Punk" moniker for him, and then he took off for WWE. I think just based on that TNA should hold off here, or just not take him back at all.

After the Edge and Viki segment, there was a title match between Edge and HHH. It was advertised here locally, but it didn't start with them. Edge claimed he was in charge and made HHH face Kozlov first. HHH won the match and then beat Edge via count out.

It was a very fun segment to watch.

It sounded better than most of Smackdown (other than the Hardy match which was damn good). Shame it wasn't broadcasted :( Although I don't see the point in making it a title match. I mean everyone already knows what the result will be.

Randy Orton was involved in a motorcycle accident resulting in him re-injuring his collarbone. Orton had initially injured his collarbone last June at One Night Stand, during his confrontation with Triple H in a Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Championship.

As a result of re-injuring the collarbone, Orton will be out of action for an additional three months.
