Very cool LK, sounds like you had an awesome time. Its really cool that you met Lance Storm, I've heard he's a real nice person.

Edge and Taker in Hell in a Cell is going to be awesome. I think Taker is probably going to win since he's been gone for so long, but it will be a hard hitting match to be sure.

If it's his first appearance, then you'd definately think so. Unless they do swerve us and have Vickie screw him over, reigniting the Edge/Taker feud.

He definatly will win, I hope he hurts Edge as well. I can't tell you how hard I cheered when Vickie said she re-negociated the Undertaker. It would have been a perfect night if Jeff was able to win the battle royal though, but oh well.

I'm hoping to see Rey Mysterio on Raw tomorrow night, I really want to see that guy again. Not a lot of cruiserweights survive on Raw, but out of everybody I sure hope he does. Who's ready to see more non-GM madness?

This seems like the blow off to the Edge/Taker issue, at least for awhile, which I'm fine with. That's been a good feud, but there's also some newer talent on that brand now that they could mix it up and have them work with. Plus, you don't want to do too much of a good thing.

We can confirm that the WWE Unforgiven 2008 PPV promotional poster featuring Kane is not the official PPV poster for the event. The poster is from a Kane DVD titled "Kane: Journey To Hell".

The official WWE Unforgiven poster actually features Shawn Michaels. The main shot of Shawn Michaels has him delivering an elbow drop in midair. The promotional poster also features several background shots of Michaels delivering the superkick, posing and giving a crossface submission. To view the poster, click on the advertisement below.

Here's the poster:

For a change of pace here is a nice article about Edge and a visit he did through the make-a-wish foundation. Here.

Supposedly Shane is going to be on raw tonight, possibly to appoint a GM or put himself in charge. Maybe Regal will get the spot again since his suspension is up.

WWE confirmed today in the following press release that beginning Tuesday, September 30, 2008, ECW's timeslot on Sci-Fi will be moved back one-hour to 9:00 p.m. This is all part of an effort to get their shows a "PG" television rating.

I think Regal really shouldn't get that spot again since he should absolutely be paying for continuing to fuck up after a long long history of abuse. Plus, the company started pushing him after he ASKED them for the job, so they very clearly said to him "ok, we are putting our faith in you" and he screwed them. There are other great talkers on the roster doing nothing (Matt Striker springs to mind) who could use and deserve the boost of the GM spot way more then Regal.

I almost have a sneaking suspicion that it'll be Vince. Obviously it's a heel, I do hope it's somebody new to the position though, and somebody not named Mcmahon. This is an intriguing story but I hope this isn't like the higher power where in the end it turns out to be Vince to send us back to status quo

I think we've pretty much just witnessed the end of Raw. Mike Adamle was bad enough at commentating, but now he's the fucking GM? Well, we all know how GMs come and go, but hopefully it's a short ride with that guy.

But I do wonder, who is Tazz's new broadcast partner going to be? Hopefully it's someone good, so far all the commentaters he's worked with so far were complete shit.

My reaction exactly. Raw is going to be tough to watch with him in the GM position.

Not sure where this will leave ECW. Very hard to know at this point what WWE is doing.

I thought the main event was decent. Batista got some great reactions, while Cena keeps getting booed everywhere he goes.

It's hard to know how much of Adamle's personality is a work, and if they'll keep it up now he's GM. It's entirely possible he'll reveal his ignorance was all fake, and the commentators making fun of him pushed him over the edge or something.
I hope so anyway, unless it leads to some over drawn out, annoying story where all the commentators have to wrestle regularly.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2008-07-29 17:21:54

Rumblings I hear is they're gonna play him up as an idiot in the GM role, and try to make his actual on air mistakes a funny storyline...dunno if that'll work. The guy makes a shit load of money, so they want and/or need to do something with him. Hopefully this works and/or he isn't given a hell of a lot of air time, we've seen GM's before that were almost like after thoughts (Armando), maybe Adamle will be one of those.

More then likely Todd Grisham will be paired with Tazz, nothing concrete though.

Most likely, we've already seen him make shitty decisions(Batista and John Cena, King and Cole, etc.) but I'm hoping for him to do something REALLY stupid so he can get himself fired.

He might stay with Todd for the first week or two, but I'm almost positive they'll find somebody else. You know how WWE takes random guys off the shelf and puts them in the commentary.

Its official now. I would have liked to see Josh Matthews getting the nod, but Grish (Or anyone else for that matter) is an upgrade over THE Mike Adamle.

Pretty boring episode of ECW last night. They did a nice job of pushing the Henry-Hardy feud (Which IS the right thing to do). That Ricky Ortiz dude flat-out sucks! He struggled to get Chavo up for a Military Press (And Chavo is one of the lightest guys on the roster), and just looked like such a rookie out there.

And a question for everyone... Am I the only one who simply can't enjoy seeing Finlay wrestle anymore? Its not a knock on Finlay, but having Hornswoggle with him has just made Finlay look like an idiot.

My name is pepeatumi... But you already knew that!

The WWE has done it again. Right when you think RAW is gonna be real awesome again they screw it up by once again making a stupid decision on who to be the GM. Now I know the GM really has no power over the show of the WWE for that matter but they could have done a whole lot better then who they chose last Monday.

I was really expecting Bischoff for some reason :/
We'll see how they go with Adamlee, but I'm already setting myself up for some bad storylines and a whole lot of dissapointment.

Watched a bit of ECW earlier, couldn't be arsed with the rest of it. Looked like a pretty shitty show.

I missed ECW but read the results. I think getting Finley back into a singles fued is a good thing. Him being nothing but a comedy duo is a far cry from what he used to be and I'll be glad to see if the Finley of old who loved to fight will come back.

I still think it was a dumb idea for Colin to turn heel. I don't know how much longer he's going to last in WWE if he stays being a jobber for life.

A dirty player who sucks that bad never gets shown often at all. I'm sure we won't be seeing him again, but yeah, it was a pretty dumb idea being that ECW has barely any superstars at all. I'll start watching ECW again if Matt Hardy wins at Summerslam. Matt as the ECW world champion sounds awesome, but Mark Henry's going to be tough to pin.

I know this is a little random, but it is quite interesting.

WWE Superstar MVP was interviewed by GoTriCities.com this week and discussed his life prior to becoming a pro wrestler - namely, his nine-and-a-half year prison sentence.

MVP says that he met a corrections officer who helped train him. "As a teen-ager, I ran the streets and got into all kinds of very serious trouble, which resulted in me going to prison for 9 1/2 years. While I was in prison I met a corrections officer who was an independent wrestler. Got out, started training with him and discovered that pro wrestling was my passion."MVP

also noted that his felony record makes it difficult to travel. "There are some countries that I'm not allowed into - Japan being one of them. When I go to Canada, there's all kinds of legal paperwork that has to be done. There's a special permit. For the most part, it's been almost 20 years since my conviction and I haven't been in trouble. There'll be times I'm in the airport, they do a background check when I'm going to another country and they pull me to the side. Take me into a room and check my stuff out."

Only because hes so fat that you prolly cant get both shoulders down at the same time.

GOD I hate Henry as the champ and the fact that theyve shit all over the legacy of ECW. AWFUL, AWFUL show nowadays. At least Raw has picked up a little bit.

MVP did his time and made himself a better person. Good for him I say. Sucks that he's restricted to go to certian places but I'm glad he's gotten his life straightened out.

Matt is good at chasing titles. I don't think he'll win it at Summer Slam but I do think he has a chance of getting it eventually.

Matt should get it eventually, but it's too soon to take it off Henry I think. If Matt takes it, who does he wrestle after Henry? There aren't really that many heels of quality on the ECW brand, they need to develop some before we get a babyface on top.

SD was pretty good last night. I really enjoyed the exchange between Edge and Mick Foley. They did a really good job in getting Edge to flip out and get ready for the cell match.

MVP and Jeff Hardy are going to have an awesome fued, I can tell.

In case anyone was wondering, Steph had her baby which is why HHH was not there.
