I hated the finish too, but I'm fine with it in some respects because it's very obvious Punk won't beat Batista clean for awhile yet. Him killing JBL at SS will be good.

Batista and Cena? Goddamn it's too early! That is a WM program people! But then, H and Edge could have been too...sometimes this company takes one step forward, and then 20 steps back.

I agree that Cena vs. Batista is too early. They should hold off on that as much as they can. If Punk takes on JBL at SS, maybe Batista and Kane can settle their issue. I'm not sure where Cena will fit in though..

Burchill needs a better finisher. The neckbreaker is too overused and that curb stomp sucks. I know he used to do a C4, but that move isn't very practical, plus he couldn't use it on more than half the roster.

That's what I'm hoping, that they just did that on Monday to help get a better rating for next week, and that they'll do a long tease of Cena and Batista having these little miscues to get to the big blow up at Mania.

JBL and Punk we've had before, but I think it's important for Punk to get a big, strong, clear win at SS, and really I think that having JBL do a clean job for Punk is the only way I can see JBL getting that win over Cena making any sense. You build JBL up slightly so Punk can take that rub from him and beat a guy like Cena by proxy.

Agreed, the curb stomp blows, neckbreakers have been around forever, and just yeah. Better finisher, and more mic time too. I do like that he and Kofi are locked in a feud, now you just put up the IC belt and it can really start to matter again.

Agreed. For as much as I'd love to see it, Punk can't beat Cena and/or Batista in a believable fashion. He's already wrestled (And beat) JBL in the past, so it would make sense to have them wrestle again. Not only that, facing someone like JBL is the only way in which Punk would get cheered over his opponent.

By the way, I don't know how far along he is in his recovery, but it would not surprise me to see Punk vs Orton in a couple of months.

Former ECW Champion James "The Sandman" Fullington was arrested on Sunday night for an incident that occured at a New York City restaurant. Yonkers police say that when officers arrived at the restaurant, the 45-year-old wrestler was flinging glasses from a tray at employees.

A police spokeswoman says the 6-foot-4-inch, 280-pound Fullington also threw several glasses at police, injuring two officers.

Charges against Fullington include felony second-degree assault. He has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

SD! has been TV-PG for years now, ever since that fracus with the PTC.

RAW has been TV-14 since the TV ratings system was implemented.

If this is indeed the case, it's just another example that WWE seems to be shifting back to going after the younger market.

The only part that might get avoided if this is indeed true is the use of "suck it" the other stuff I think they could still get away with since they get away with that on SD! me thinks.

Also I hear they're planning to debut a new ECW Title belt tonight. Considering how badly Tommy got messed up on Sunday, I doubt he's long for the brand either...so it really looks like the last vestiges of the real ECW are finally being swept away.

funny story about that;

taken from his blog on wwe fan nation..

This, my friends, is a real shocker When Mark Henry slammed me on the floor two weeks ago, as I rolled over to check on Colin Delaney, I asked him if he was OK ... then I smelled a horrible smell. I asked Colin if he had farted because it was bad. He, in return, said, "I thought it was you." Then as I was still on the floor, I began to think, was I so disrespected that I just got the World's Strongest fart dropped on me? Does Mark Henry really hate me so much that he would slam me on the floor and poop on me? What about Tony Atlas? Did he drop a bomb on Colin and me? He does look like he still eats a lot of protein. I was really angry and went to the back to calm down. This took about 10 minutes or so, and I took a shower. However, when I went to put my clothes away, my underwear in particular, I thought I had sat on a brownie. It was I who had the **** knocked out of me both literally and figuratively.

"The force of the slam knocked the **** out of you" is what the attending physician had said. I have had a lot of things happen to me in wrestling, but never this. Why the hell didn't I know it was me? Now that, my friends, is an extreme mystery..

Dreamer never gets a break, but at least he won last night.. Against the guy who can't win at all...oh who am I kidding, Dreamer never gets a break.

The main event was great. Best match of the night with lots of near falls and suspence. Matt Hardy goes on to face Henry for the title at Summer Slam. I don't think he will win it though...

Rest of ECW was on the throw-away side. Shame considering where they were. You'd think they would at least throw in one exreme rules match in there....

The New York Post reports that James "Sandman" Fullington made a brief appearance in Yonkers Criminal Court yesterday however the hearing was postponed until today after prosecutors requested additional time to review Sandman's rap sheet to determine how much bail to ask for. The Sandman is currently being charged with felony assault and criminal mischief, as well as reckless endangerment and resisting arrest.

Kami Albano, the niece of Lou Albano who had the 75th birthday party, told The Post, "The fight was both their faults, and TJ should have been arrested, too." She also said that the owner "ignored" her requests to calm the speed of alcohol at the party. "Around 4:30, I went to him and asked him to please stop serving drinks to Sandman, as well as a few other guys who'd had a lot," said Albano. "I also went to the bartender and asked that anyone who was drinking hard liquor be cut off," she said. "They ignored our wishes."

Yeah, I really hope when he's done with the ring they find another office position for him. I know it's Tommy's own fault he doesn't have the cushy office gig anymore, but he has a good mind for the business and you can't fault a guy for doing what he loves, and doing it for you and making you at least a little coin along the way. I bought a Tommy t-shirt

Dude, don't matter where they are, it's just the letters now, it is in no other way like the real ECW. I'm surprised they even try to invoke that image anymore for people, it's so obvious they've moved totally and utterly away from that

What do you think about that new belt? I'm still undecided on it.

I'm curious to see where the go with the Edge/Viki story. They left it in kind of a weird way so it will be interesting to see what they intend to do.

Honestly I'd like it to get over with soon. Edge is so much better on his own and the less I hear Viki talk the better.

Well, that "throw-away" episode of ECW scored a 1.5 in the ratings which is up from recent weeks. Its actually the highest rating its gotten in a while.

In an odd twist of fate, ECW seems to once again be best WRESTLING show on TV... Even if it is under the WWE banner.

I've yet to watch ECW but will catch it tonight. Having not read the SD! spoilers, I have no idea what goes down. However, if people's ideas are true and Vicki brings back Taker to deal with Edge around SummerSlam, who does that leave to go after HHH? My answer, Jeff Hardy! If the Taker/Edge fued is continuing, this seems like the only logical option. Kennedy and Umaga are fueding aren't they? That leaves only a certain charasmatic enigma to come out on SD! and say "I've beat you before Hunter (New Years Revolution/Armageddon?), I can beat you again, cept this time, for the belt".

I think it's a combination of good wrestling, and having people on there people want to watch...like Matt Hardy. I do believe Matt Hardy means something to that rating. RAW was back up this week, but the quarter hours seem to indicate that draft luster is going away.

Hardy was a good choice for ECW. People want to see him and when you throw in great talent like Morrison, Miz and Finley in there you create matches people are interested in seeing.

I'm looking forward to SD. I never read the spoilers but with the hint that was given I am eager to see what happens.

Damn it, damn it, damn it. I fucking hate Khali. I also hate that they had Jeff in the final two, almost as though the WWE is intentionally mocking our sanity. Somehow this wouldn't be as disappointing if they just had two shitty wrestlers fight for the slot, because at least then we'd know beforehand that suckage was approaching.

Holding pattern feud. That's what Khali is. I have to wonder if this is being done too because they want to set up the RAW main event involving Punk defending his belt to be the main event and see what that does for them.

Hardy vs. H is still a money feud, and whether or not Jeff can beat him again, hell that could even wind up being the SD! main event for Mania. I think WWE probably wants to make sure Hardy isn't going to have any more slip ups and want him to prove himself before he gets the big slot, can't blame them there.

But in any case, at least "she" made a good move in bringing 'Taker back for SS. Now at least SmackDown will be a little more watchable... I mean, Triple H is good and all, but the guy doesn't even wrestle any more. Bah.

Undertaker Returns at Summerslam
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------

On Smackdown last night, Vickie Guerrero made the shocking announcement that will see the Undertaker returning at Summerslam.

Undertaker Returns at Summerslam

Over the last several weeks, the big question in wrestling has been "When will the Undertaker return?"

Well, WWE provided that answer last night on Smackdown.

In the storyline, Vickie Guerrero made the decision to punish Edge by reinstating the Undertaker.

She also took it a step further by announcing a Hell in a Cell match between Edge and the Undertaker at Summerslam.

Like she said, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Hell in a Cell

WWE has finally come through with this feud and delivered big time.

There's not a better match for the Undertaker's return than a Hell in a Cell match against Edge.

Wrestling fans had grown tired of the multiple title matches between the two wrestlers.

Putting them in a Hell in a Cell makes the match much more important than any of their previous title matches.

In fact, the Hell in a Cell match is considered more of a main event right now than either the WWE title match or World title match.

The Main Event

It'll be interesting to see which match that WWE decides to promote as the main event of Summerslam.

With the Great Khali in the WWE title match, that automatically makes it a secondary match on the pay per view.

CM Punk is still finding his way as a champion. Any match that he'll be involved in will feel like a secondary match as well.

The Undertaker's return has always been a huge thing. Even though fans have seen it so often, it's still exciting.

Plus, it's a Hell in a Cell match. Gimmick matches generally have more appeal than regular matches.

Swerve

In the wrestling business, if you have a good thing going, you generally milk it until there's nothing left.

WWE has a great thing going with the on screen relationship with Edge an Vickie Guerrero.

Their ability to generate so much heel heat together makes it very likely that a swerve is going to happen.

Vickie Guerrero could end up turning against the Undertaker.

Closing Thoughts

This match alone should be enough to get wrestling fans to shell out some money for the pay per view.

Want to know something funny? I missed the last half of SD because they had kept saying that the battle royal was the main event, so when I saw it I wasn't paying attention to the time and turned it off. :P It was only after did I realize that it was not over. Oh well.

Not a bad show up to that point. I enjoyed the opening segment with MVP and Jeff Hardy.

Jim Ross confirmed in his latest blog that Jonathan Coachman would be leaving the WWE soon to join ESPN. Here is what Ross had to say on the matter:

It was great seeing Jonathan Coachman for a few minutes Sunday afternoon at the Nassau Coliseum and getting to meet his new, baby daughter who is beautiful for the record. Coach is leaving the WWE and will begin a new career with ESPN and will be moving to the Bristol area in the near future.

Ross also said the following about Brooke Hogan possibly appearing for Playboy:

Is Brooke Bollea Hogan actually considering posing for Playboy Magazine? First of all, I have zero issues with Playboy Magazine but wouldn't one think that the timing of this particular matter helps no one but Playboy? What's next, Nick in semi prison garb in Playgirl magazine? Can everyone, all at one time, say..."LAY LOW"? Leave the media crazy, TMZ-like radar screen and watch public perception improve....if that matters and perhaps it doesn't. There was a fan's sign in Philly Tuesday that read, 'Hulk We Still Love You.'

Hi guys. I just recently attended ROH's Toronto show yesterday. I had an awesome time there. At the merchandise table I bought a Ring of Honor T-Shirt and the Man Up, Take No Prisoners, Supercard of Honor III and Straight Shootin' with Samoa Joe & CM Punk DVDs. During intermission, I got autographs from Bushwhacker Luke & Lance Storm. I even got to shake Lance Storm's hand! The best matches on the card were Bryan Danielson vs. Claudio Castagnoli, Roderick Strong vs. Naomichi Marufuji and Nigel McGuinness vs. Kevin Steen. It was an awesome show.
