I'm never around to watch TNA and I haven't kept up with it at all so I have no idea whats going on, or even who the champions are.

With ONS a PPV of gimmick matches, does that mean the next one the champions one will have none? I'm still hopeing for a ladder match between Matt and MVP for the US title. A high profile match like that would be good for both of them, and help build that championship up.

I'll admit it... The beatdown they did on Styles was awesome. But for the 195th time, I'm going to type this. Although Impact did a good job of advancing angles and building towards their next PPV (Slammiversary) we ended up getting a whopping 17 MINUTES of wrestling. For a company that once had a slogan that said "We are Wrestling", that's not exactly a lof of wrestling.

That's pathetic, especially when you consider WWE has progressively been upping it's wrestling quotient on ALL it's shows. But that's the way it's gonna be when Vince freakin Russo is booking everything there.

As far as Kane, look, Kane is on the down end of his career, this title run is like a thank you thing. You have Punk to build now, Punk should get the belt, have a decent reign with it until he's properly built to move on, and then Kane can have it back. There's no excuse to have a mid-level title on a guy that's not going to move beyond the position he's at, when you have a guy who has the potential to move up, be a main eventer for them for years to come, who could have that title on him that might help in that elevation process. But of course that's what we won't get, because WWE will slot Big Show in there, so Vince can get the big man matches he fucking wanks to, beautiful.

So it's just come out that Heat is cancelled, and WWE will tape ECW before RAW now and ECW will probably be on RAW's house show tours from now on. They feel this will give ECW more exposure. Which it could, but unless they plan on having ECW guys appear on RAW in a meaningful way like they have on SD! in many cases, then this is just a bad bad idea. If ECW is gonna be treated like job guys, there's no point. But with Heat cancelled, there's now a whole crop of guys that can actually be put onto the ECW shows and roster that could maybe freshen things up.

I was pretty happy with SD! last night. I was glad to see the Undertaker pick up a win fairly without that bitch Vickie screwing him out of it YET AGAIN. And Seeing Matt Hardy and Kofi Kingston win in a tag team match was also cool. I have to say though, I am a bit worried about One Night Stand.

I just realized, if the Undertaker loses, he will leave the WWE. Being that he is getting a little old worries me, because he might lose. And if he does, there's probably no point in me watching SD! anymore, unless a really good guy from Raw takes his spot. Other than that, with all the Extreme rules, it's going to be a hell of a night.

I think taker will beat edge in edges own game TLC, but HIAC is better for the story, because edge screwed taker in the last hiac vs batista. Taker getting revenge with the title on the line, and taker being fired if losing no less would make it the most epic battle on the card and in the storyline.

With Heat oing away and being replaced by ECW, I guess the guys who appear on it all the time will go there. This hurts SD more since they effectivley used that spot like their version of Heat.

Lets just hope they don't bury the brand. Maybe now is the time for CM to become an offical SD guy to keep him away from HHH.

Taker won't be fired, I'm a bit surprised they've gone to this stip now though, as I'd personally believed they'd do something like this for Summerslam. Unless the idea is to move Taker to RAW (and boy is THAT a stupid idea I feel) then he's going to win.

I also think the move to RAW could wind up completely destroying ECW if it winds up dropping these guys into the position of just a new crop of job guys. H has been...better, about not hogging all the power, but at the same token, if anybody from ECW is in there with him, they'll most likely be booked to be destroyed.

Maybe they want to move Taker to Raw due to Sd having to move in the future. They may want to make sure that one of their mosat long lasting stars can still be seen even if not everyone gets whatever channel SD ends up on.

I just have a feeling in my gut that tacking on ECW to the Raw brand is a bad idea. But it's far too early to tell so we'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

I want to see Kane and Kofi face off next Tuesday on ECW so bad! It's a match I've been wanting to see for a while now, but they keep giving Kane gay opponents like "The Miz" and (The worst of them all) "Chavo Guerrero"

Post again and we'll make it official.

Chavo is so far away from being the worst opponent Kane has faced, that I can't understand why you would say that bigjuicy. True they need to move on from that fued, but in terms of actual wrestling talent Chavo has enough to spare. I do agree that a Kofi/Kane match would be interesting, but I would prefer it if they didn't make Kofi look weak in the process. More than likely he would lose to kane, but if he put up one hell of a fight then it wil be good.

Honestly I do not like when the wrestlers are using drugs of any kind. They are each responsible for the others well being while in the ring. It would be extremely dangerous (more then usual) for a guy to work a match stoned or something since that would increase the chance of them messing something up and possibly hurting someone. And as far as steroids go, the wrestlers are going to have some long term effect no matter what, like crono sore backs and knees. Taking that drug which damages the liver, kidneys and whatever else is just not a good idea. Build muscle the old fashion way, its safer for the body.

Using drugs is a bad bad idea. Guys have to find other ways to pass the time, or have fun, or yeah, improve their look and prescence. Maybe we can't understand what it's like to work in the business, I'll grant that, but after the Benoit Tragedy, after Eddie, after Pillman, after all these early deaths. Wrestlers and the business need to wake up, and start promoting a drug free environment.

I think that's exactly where they're going here, it'd be nuts to me if they don't. Why was he coming out of Vince's office on Monday then? Why give him TV time on SD!? Why bother having him on TV at all last week if not to make him the new GM of RAW? Plus, they really should, RAW has been bombarded by heels in the top spot for awhile now, and a face GM could possibly freshen things up, and lead to new story possibilities, plus, they played Regal as just ratings killing, so I think it'd be good to have somebody in there people will be sure won't turn off the freakin lights.

RAW was a pretty good show tonight I thought. We got two big announcements:

Vince is paying people to watch RAW now apparently...we'll have to see how that one works out for him, and I'm sure more will be said about it in the coming days and what not.

We will have a draft lottery for the next 3 hour RAW. Which will be good since it'll give people a reason to tune in and there will be some changes made that you know, will actually matter a few months down the line vs. say holding a one night tournament that the winner eventually blows his push from. Here's hoping Punk is headed to SD! and getting booked better, or even going to RAW to get booked better...just get him off ECW and actually try to establish him damn it.

Not only that, but Burchill vs Kennedy shows some continuity on the WWE's part. Burchill and Katie are "buddies" of Regal, so it figures that they would be pissed at the guy that cost Regal his job.

I have to admit, it was a damn fine show last night... But that announcement by Vince just felt underwhelming. So much hype for the draft and a giveaway?

Anyways, here's hoping that SD doesn't get raped in the draft.

Vince giving away 1 Million each week? Wonder how that one is going to work...

Raw was good last night. We got another second generation wrestler, a fued with Kennedy and Burchill, and an awesome Jericho/HBK match to finish off the night.
The ending to that match really captured my imagination too. Jericho almost lost it and used a chair, but instead helped Shawn up and threw it down in disgust. I don't remember anyone doing that before so I really enjoyed that segment and look forward to see where it takes this fued.

Glad to hear about the draft, hopefully it'll be one of the better ones we'll get to see.

RAW last night was pretty good. Despite my hatred for Cena, I thought him and Jeff worked well together. Michaels/Jericho was a good match and the finish was something different. Not to bad at all.
If WWE play there cards even half right, Kennedy and Burchill will put on a good fued.

Anyone else noticed Vince used the words "sum of one million dollars" or something like that.
Me thinks theres importance in that words "sum". Watch this space.

I watched RAW last night; quite good, actually. I do hope Teddy gets the GM spot just so he can royally fuck all the heels up the ass in only the way he can. :P

Also, a few thoughts on last Thursday's TNA that I didn't post from before:

Interesting Kong angle there; I do hate to see jobbers that no one recognizes, esp. when TNA isn't usually known for doing that (pay attention to that, would ya', McMahon?), but the 25,000 part sounds like it'll go somewhere with Kong getting royally screwed.

Geez, everyone & their fucking mother was beating the shit out of poor A.J. at the end; even as far as heels ganging up on a face goes, that's fucking over the edge & beyond. At that rate, he should've brought some mace & a tazer to the ring... O_O I CANNOT wait to see how that gets followed up.

At 5/23/08 10:57 AM, Outlaw88 wrote: I'm never around to watch TNA and I haven't kept up with it at all so I have no idea whats going on, or even who the champions are.

Well, Samoa Joe was FINALLY given the World Heavyweight title, which was awesome; now he's throwing himself into every available opponent to prove he deserves to be on top. Petey Williams has the X-Division tile, now as Scott Steiner's pal (Little Petey Pump). Awesome Kong is still Knockout Champ (no surprise there). And LAX are the Tag Title holders again, with Hector Guererro as their 'manager' of sorts.

Actually, unlike most of you, I like the building up of the matches better than McMahon's to not care about the actual amount of wrestling so much, esp. when it leads to some very quality matches.

I don't know what the move is called, but I've seen Sonjay Dutt do in the past. Needless to say, it looks awesome. Kofi is pretty much defying the rules of WWE. He only started feuding with Shelton a while back, other than that he's been in squash matches for the most part... And somehow, he's still managed to get over.

I'm hoping that at the very least he can go to SD and compete for the US title in the following months.
