Sorry for the double post... And I'm pretty sure that the blood on his forehead was from the busted lip and. Still, that's what happens when you mess with Regal.
As for Punk not even being on the show. All of us should know by now that WWE doesn't want to push Punk. The fans continue to rally behind him, and instead of using that as a springboard to push Punk to the next level, they decide to give Kennedy the nod... You know, they lying, steroid user that hasn't been on tv for about a month.
WWE booking at its finest.
Regal was a fucking BASTARD last night... and thats just the way I love him.
MISTAAAAAAH KENNNNNNNNEDY!
KEEEEEEENNNNNNEEEED-POW!
then
*tackles the shit out of the backstage guy and gets inches away from his face*
TURN OFF THE BLOODY SHOW! TURN THE BLOODY SHOW OFF NOW!
Freakin AWESOME. That ending last night was the biggest "Screw you" from a heel to the audience Ive seen in YEARS. About 100,000 wrestling fanboys lost their smile quicker than HBK when Law & Order popped on the screen.

Punk is floundering now. When you consider that, for the past year, Kennedy has been pretty much directionless and floundering himself, then it really says something that he stole Punk's storyline.
When Kennedy has more purpose than you, you're in trouble. Though is Punk even on any specific brand right now? He just seems to be floating around, unable to get a foot in any of the three brands. Hopefully they'll do a draft lottery and give Punk something to do after that.
Officially, Punk is still an ECW wrestler. A lot of guys have been jumping about lately, so much so that I gotta wonder like the Pwinsider guys have if they'll even do a draft lottery this year, and if it's even worth doing since they can either move who they want, or just put a guy on a show under the old blanket statement of "every brand cooperates more now".
Truly, though, WWE has shown no love for Punk. I mean, at this point I wouldn't be at all shocked to see him challenge Triple H next week, get slapped around for five minutes, bend over and take a pedigree. Again, is Punk the next Rock or Austin? No, no he isn't, but what is the harm in seeing what he CAN be? In seeing if he's a viable main eventer, if he's the guy that semi main events and then in emergencies you bring to the top? WWE always does this now, it's a mentality that the fans will always care, and they can just bring these guys to the top whenever they want, treat them however they want, and people will just accept it. It's hogwash and horse shit and if they don't realize that soon, they're going to be finding drop offs more and more. I understand it's Vince's baby, and it's his vision and the buck stops with him, I respect that and believe that is indeed the way it should be. It's his money, it's his risk and work that brought it here, off the backs of the wrestlers, but he's the man that made it POSSIBLE. But that doesn't mean he should stagnate, or not think outside his own box. Try something damn you!!
Wait... So Punk can beat Matt Hardy and Chris Jericho cleanly, but he can only beat Chuck Palumbo by DQ?

Post again and we'll make it official.
I missed ECW last night, what went down?
We still have a while to see what hepens with CM Punk. As long as they keep with with that briefcase, he is still in line for something. I think WWE may just hold off on it, and attempt to come up with something to push and establish him as a contender. That would be best at this point.

Kane was in a handicap match with chavo and bam Kane lost due to a last second move by chavo but Kane put up one hell of a fight, Kofi fought shelton again..... Kofi won.

They could have had him feud with Jericho to do that, he SHOULD be feuding with Regal right now to do that. The problem is that WWE just will not consistently get behind this guy. It's like they said "oh, well, since he was second choice for MITB, fuck him". The guy is going down the same path as guys like Mysterio before him. The way he's going when he gets the title shot, no one will believe he should win, and then if he does win, he'll be another bullshit unworthy looking champion. It's ridiculous what WWE has been doing here.

I sense that the company is trying to build a Punk vs Edge feud. Those tow have wrestled each other a few times with Edge winning by cheating/distraction. Edge is arguably the best heel in the company right now, I think that it makes perfect sense to have Edge feud with Punk for the breifcase. A feud with Edge can do wonders to establish as a top contender.

What makes you think he's necessarily done with Taker? I think they'll be doing at least one more gimmick match between those two for Judgement Day before blowing it off. Punk meanwhile is probably gonna feud with Palumbo, or maybe they'll just forget all about that.
Chris Jericho vs Shawn Michaels
Mr Kennedy vs William Regal
will happen at jugment day

Just before the match between Edge and Taker started, Tarker said that he would hurt Edge. We both know that Taker held the triangle choke for another 40 seconds or so after the bell and Edge was "hospitalized". It makes perfect sense to end the feud here since Edge already used his rematch clause. If they continue the feud, nobody is going to believe that Edge will beat Taker in his third try. Plus, it is a good time for Vickie to bring a monster heel (i.e: Umaga) to get revenge on Taker for putting her "boyfriend" on the shelf. Sure Edge can get yet another shot at Taker at JD throough Vickue, but it is better to move on.
Im behind you on this one, Avie. Regal and Punk feuding would make SO MUCH fucking sense right now. Its like the crowd is frothing at the mouth for Punk, hes MORE than ready for a big push and putting him against a guy like Regal will do nothing but good for both of them. Regal is a great wrestler, but to see him in a program with a young hungry newcomer will make him look legit, and to have Punk wrestler Regal, a legit guy and an AWESOME ring technician will only add to his credibility.
Not that the guy needs it much, just look at the pop he gets CONSISTENTLY. They cheer for him louder than Trips and Super-C COMBINED. I dont care for Punk's character but I give credit where its due. The guy is great on a stick and even better in the ring. He is more than ready to be in the top tier with guys like Trips, Taker, Super-C, HBK, etc. Regal/Punk would put both of them over, and the both of them could use the shot in the arm that a feud between them would give. It would DEFINITELY help Regals case for his return to the ring.
The ironic part is that WWF is doing EXACTLY what they did with Regal in the past... SLEEPING on him. Not letting him utilize his gifts to become a top guy. Hopefully with the push they seem to be giving Regal lately they will realize that Regal is a man who can be a Main eventer despite him being 40, and will finally see the light and say Punk deserves it as well and put 2 and 2 together by putting the hungriest Mid-carder Heel against the hungriest Mid-carder face and sit back and watch the 2 of them skyrocket each other to the top of the program that the both of them so richly deserve.
Sorry if that this post was such a mouthful, but its been bothering me a long time. And the fucking TEASE of Regal/Punk at the final KOTR match proved that those 2 would have a great feud all the way to the top of the card, then to have them drop the ball HARD by not continuing the program really pissed me off.
God Damn the WWF wouldnt know a good booking decision if you SHOWED EM.

Palumbo isn't quite a jobber yet, and it took a lot of effort for Matt Hardy to beat him a few weeks ago, so I can still view him as being a touh challenge for anyone. True CM should have won that match outright, but at the same time WWE doesn't want Palumbo as a jobber.

Santino Marella just recently got arrested.
Source: TMZ.com
Former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Santino Marella, was arrested at 2:57 AM EST in Tampa, Florida on suspicion of DUI.
Marella, real name Anthony Carelli, was pulled over after cops witnessed his car drifting back and forth -- he had "bloodshot, watery and glassy eyes."
Carelli failed two field sobriety tests -- including one in which he couldn't hold his balance. He told officers he started drinking at midnight, and had three Miller Lights and one Kamikaze. The ol', "I had a couple of beers."
When Mr. Wrestler was hauled to the Hillsborough County jail, his BAC was under the .08 legal limit -- .061 and .062. But, he took the test nearly two hours after being arrested so he can still be prosecuted.
He was released on $500 bail around an hour ago.
As if his grasp on the English language wasn't bad enough. :P
Anyway, I'm watching TNA right now, and damn, Hector is almost a mirror image of Eddie! I wonder hiow Vince will react to having a Guererro side with TNA superstars, though. I mean, he's been there for a couple of weeks, at least, maybe more (I'm not exactly sure how long he's been there), but this would embed the Guererro name into the 'other brand', which I'm certain Vince would NOT be happy about.
Petey Williams apparently got a makeover himself - also shaved bald, but for different reasons, obviously. He actually pulls of being a mini-Steiner very well.
"Sometimes, a banana is just a banana, and a rubber glove is just a rubber glove." Best. Random. Line. EVAR. Bless Kevin Nash & his wit. :P
You can be in Paris. You can be in a Hilton. Just don't be in Paris Hilton.

Wow that sucks. If he is convicted say goodbye to any push he may ever get, or hell even his job. I can't side with him on this one, drunk driving is a dumbass thing to do. While I don't want him to get fired or go to jail, I do think that he should get some help or something. it's going to suck for the rest of the people involved with his storyline since this might be grounds for a suspension. Poor Carlito, he finally gets some momentum going with a possible title run in his future and something goes wrong...
Don't drink and drive..you stupid dumbass!

That's pretty much what a reduced schedule is, it means he only wrestles on the big PPV's and such. Which I have absolutely no problem with, because it could help buyrates, and it gives younger talent they want to develop but may not be "pay to watch 'em wrestle" ready more chances to work and grow.

Indeed. Kind of a shame that the match only lasted 2 minutes. Say what you will about TNA, but they have WWE completely beat when it comes to their Women's division... Just a shame that few people care about women's wrestling.

from what i was reading it said that he will not be doing house shows, but that was it.
I think they should do more boxers vs. Westlers matches in the future those are great (even though big show lost....) Hell, I'd love to see Kane vs. my favorite boxer butterbean.
Ugh. I am not happy with how SD ended tonight. Taker could have had a great run, why did they take the title away? Is he hurt? I mean yeah I can buy the move getting "banned" since it is so evil, but taking the mans title away? I did a quick check on WWE.com's superstar page and it has the area where the heavyweight title spot vacated. Also it has the Alka-Seltzer mascot on the page....Weird...and dumb.
my favorite match of the night goes to Matt and MVP. Second would have to go to the opening tag match that showed each team to look strong, but ending with the champs come out on top again.
Its great to hear Foley instead of Coach. I am already a big fan of his so this change is one I'm happy with.

I cannot agree more. As great as Taker is, he never has a long title run. It is a shame that he got stripped at this point of his career. He deserves a long run with the title.
At 5/3/08 07:32 AM, TheD-LucksEdition wrote: I'm sure that Undertaker being stripped of the title is purely part of his angle with Vickie/Edge, and I have no doubt that he'll win it back at Judgment Day. Taker isn't hurt, so this is only a move to add another dimension to the storyline.
Undoubtedly. It makes sense this way anyway. What would be the point of Edge being tight with the GM if he couldn't get her to do things for him? If he dropped out of the ME picture, it would be nonsensical.
Anyway, it was a good way to get Khali out of the things...
The tag match and Matt/MVP were both great matches, and Mick Foley is infinately better than Coach on commentary. Let's hope he sticks around for a while.
Foley was quite good, he was telling stories, exactly like a colour commentator should do.
