Let's pray that Show vs Khali is one and done at Backlash. Khali cannot wrestle and he is making Giant Gonzalez look good.

Also, has anyone noticed WWE's policy on former TNA stars? TNA may take former WWE stars and give them the world title, but WWE takes TNA stars and makes them enhancement for their own wrestlers. They've had the Naturals and Matt Bentley jobbing in recent weeks.

That is the way the WWE shows its superiority over the TNA brand, I am not surprised.
Also, why am I sensing that the Russian dude will be the next bust? (Remember Chris Masters?)

Yeah, WWE has no use for anybody until they create a character for them. Vince won't push somebody he doesn't feel he created.

At least Chris Masters had entrance music. This guy just has lowered lighting and one of Festus's finishing moves.

Apparently this is the week for debuts. Crime Time returns, that russian guy shows up, and Nattie Neidhart joins the fray. And of course the returning Matt Hardy.

Matt vs. MVP was a great match. Hardy working the knee fit very well into the storyline, I can't wait for them to really turn it up when the U.S. Title is up for grabs.

Kane vs. Taker was also fun, especially near the end when they started doing things in unison, like going for the chokslam, the big boot, and the sit up thing. Then of course the tombstone in stereo was a cool way to finish the night.

Shawn Michaels vs Batista

Shawn Michaels made a rare visit to Smackdown to try to explain to the fans why he had to finish off Ric Flair at Wrestlemania. Batista comes out and confronts him about it.

This could potentially be the feud of the year if it's done right.

Batista has always been able to put on great matches when he's in the ring with skilled veterans like Triple H and the Undertaker. Shawn Michaels should be able to carry him as well.

Plus, the storyline behind this thing is quite intriguing. They have so many different ways they can go.

Yeah, I don't see him lasting all that long unless they have something else going for him other than being evil and Russian. That whole lack of enterance music is a bit annoying too. Still it's way to early to pass judgment, so we'll just have to see what goes on.

I think its funny that Vince did the Sgt. Slaughter thing back in the gulf war and said "Fuck you, Eat me" to the people who complained. He also did the Tiger Ali Singh thing to which Vince said "Fuck you, Eat me" to the haters. Now, because of Putin we have a heel Russian and the naysayers will probably get a "Fuck you, Eat me" when they complain.

But with Hassan, Vinny Mac folded faster than Superman on laundry day when UPN bitched. Its funny to me because Hassan was an AWESOME heel who got STELLAR heat whenever hed have a mic in his hand. Just to hear that "ALAYEAYEAYEAAYEAYEAY" music start was a GUARANTEED anti-pop, but old Vinny boy completely and utterly bitched out when it came to the one "Ethnic Heel" that actually had in-ring talent. I dunno, I think Im just butt hurt because I REALLY enjoyed Hassan's antics.

On another note, I really wish Umaga would get a push and maybe some time with the strap. He went from this Samoan bulldozer, a guy who could kick the shit out of the top guys, and if they won, they barely eeked out a 3 count from this BEAST. Now its like theyre just using him to get guys over that were already over... He's nothing but a "Jobber to the stars" nowadays. I liked him a lot when he was this evil and unstable killing machine, it seemed a title reign was imminent and itd be hard to beat the guy to get the gold from him.

*Sigh* I just wish theyd give more cred to the heels nowadays. I cant really bitch though... Orton winning clean and retaining from Nipple H and Super C literally BLEW MY FUCKING MIND. I was in DISBELIEF that they pushed the heel (FINALLY!) Lets hope to GOD they continue in this direction.

Also, it blew my mind that Jericho pinned CM clean and the crowed popped for him over "Im better than you, Im straight edge". When the crowd was chanting "Y2J" in that match I was like "Wow, I cant believe that theyre pickin Jericho over Punk". And I will be fucking PISSED if they have it so CM cashes in MITB for the USELESS fucking ECWWE title. It better be one of the big two.

Anyhoo, thanks for listening to my biased, whiny, pro-heel rant.

Honestly, the anti-muslim crap worked because people are prejudice against Muslims since 9/11. But simulated terrorism, which is what Vince was doing, is just so friggin stupid and in bad taste. Not to mention Muhammad Hassan himself obviously had no love for the business from the beginning, so that is completely a "good riddances jack ass" situation to me.

As red would say "Fuck the faces! Hazzah for Heels!"
I'm all for great heels, they are essential, and having Orton as a somewhat strong heel champion I think is a good thing. A face always looks better while chasing down a heel's title.

I'll give Miz some credit. When he first stated, yeah he sucked. But he has since turned his ring game around and has become a solid worker. His persona is a great heel character as he really has the obnoxious guy bit down pat. Sure he'll never be a main eventer, but a place in the mid-card is a perfect spot for him. If he was on one of the other brands I would say let him have a run with the secondary title to see what he could do with it.

I don't know what it was but that crowd was obviously not thrilled about Raw last night. With the exception of the main event, the crowd seemed to not care, and gave very little reactions to the matches. Then they booed like crazy about Cena.

WWE should really stop with the handicap matches.. Apparently the one guy always beats two. When was the last time you saw the team get the win? I sure as hell don't know.

I was suprised Santino and Carlito got the win last night. Epecially with Santino doing that flop from the top rope.

Man.. .Cena just ruined that segment (And this isn't random Cena hate). Basically, he claims that the deserves a title shot because of matches he won years ago. Not only that, you have HHH, JBL and Orton looking like serious competitors and then you have Cena coming out and spewing out some nonsense which apparently was supposed to be funny (Except the fans didn't get the memo). Cena just came off looking like a douche last night.

I can't stand handicap matches. I see it as creative saying... WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO BUILD UP A TITLE CONTENDER, JUST PUT SOME PEOPLE IN HANDICAP MATCHES WHERE THE RESULT ISN'T IN DOUBT.

Two straight weeks where it looks like the tag-team division has some signs of life (On Raw, anyways). Can WWE make it three straight weeks? And I think the flop was supposed to be a Diving Headbutt. ZOMG, Benoit!

And did anyone else catch Lillian Garcia annoucing Cade and Murdoch as the winners, even though the had lost to London and Kendrick.

I had actually thought about what it'd be like seeing her beat the shit out of the guys.....really, she's the ONLY female wrestler, besides Beth Phoenix, that could ACTUALLY get away with it.

Although, I will say the blonde duo of bitches is a decent tandem...for chicks at least.

And Angelina Love is SMOKIN'. ^_^

Morrison: Intercontinental Champion? Check. Tag Team Champion? Check. Gimmick Change? Oh brudda, check that three times. As anyone can see, Morrisons been doing well in the mid-card for a while now. Hes got the moves and the look, but he really needs to work on his talk. If he can, I don't see why he couldn't be brought up to the main event level. and no, ECW championship doesn't count.

It might not happen for a while, but I see no reason why they couldn't let him have the next MITB.

Domino: Deuce has got his place, somewhere, as Snuka Jr. But Domino...Hey man, you keep ripping off that shirt and I'm sure someone will notice you. He needs more definition as a character, but I think WWE has a diamond in the rough with him. He comes of real natural, to me, as a legit bad guy, and its just wide open what he could do when he steps out of the 50s.

Aha, so now I know which of them is Superfly Jr. Anyway, I really don't see the 50's gimmick leaving anytime soon, unfortunately.

Elijah Burke: When he gets done paying his dues, Burke could really be played up to be a threat to top tier guys. I really don't see him ever getting to be Main Event, but they could give him a gimmick where he teams with top heels all the time as liked a hired assassin who could legitimately knock you out. I'd like to see it.

What do you mean by 'paying his dues'? Is he in trouble for steriods, too?

With JBL in the ME mixture, apparently he is going to be the one who gets pinned. I do not see Cena getting the title before HHH does because HHH rules the backstage and has not been the champion for too long in his mind. With that being said, Orton will not lose his title until he faces HHH one on one at Summer Slam.

Right now, it seems that Orton is a tweener more than a heel. I heard a lot of "RKO" chants during the ME. As a fan of his, I like the way how Orton has been booked? When was the last time you saw a heel/tweener not named HHH beat face challengers clean?

JBL sucks, he dosen't belong there. He beat a mid-carder over a midget at Mania, I love Finlay's work lately, but that's what he is. How does that make you a champion?

Cena has lost two title matches he's been in cleanly since the Rumble, why does he deserve a shot? He dosen't.

This really should be H vs. Orton one on one based on the booking, because H has not been clean pinned by Orton of late.

People really like Punk, I don't turn him now, it's counterproductive I think. I'm also not sure he's ready to carry a belt, they're best bet there might be to just build the boy up, then have him lose a tough close contest, and that I would probably do in a match with H at Summerslam. H is probably the best choice at the moment to put the belt on, yeah, he don't need it, but if it's a shortish reign designed to have him pull a Flair with all his opponents (make them look like a million dollars and give them a chance to be elevated) it could and would be a good thing. The WWE roster at this point is lacking, veterans like H and Taker on top isn't necessarily bad or counterproductive I feel, but the idea needs to be that they are on top to make sure that when they're given a quality young opponent to have a program with, they make that guy look good and try to mentor him into being a better overall performer. The idea that either of those guys should gobble guys up to look strong would be insane booking to me at this point as while both of them are super over, they have both had some pretty significant injuries over the last couple years, and could be one more big one away from their career forcibly ended. They don't need to kill guys anymore to prove their tough or the top of the top, they are, and jobbing occasionally, and looking like they could be beaten when they don't, to bring somebody close to their level won't hurt them.

I'm gonna make an early prediction for Backlash and say that Cena will win the title. Because I don't recall there being a minor PPV in recent memory that didn't totally disappoint me in terms of results.
