Twas excellent. Much better than the matches they put on a few months back (from what i remember).

They are going to show the 24 man battle royal on wwe.com for free so in case you want to catch that, it starts at 6:30 pm. I'm looking at the picture and it looks like Val Venis is in it... Wow when was the last time he was on a PPV? At least three, maybe four years ago?

Can't get it here in England :(
And yes, Val is in it :D

Hey, I am fairly impressed with the match Kingston put on last night. He is very quick and atheletic in the ring, not to mention that he made me laugh in the post match celebration. As long as they do not draft him to RAW, I like this kid's future.

Hope everybody watched the Hall of Fame, great show, and it finally drove home the point to me that wow, tomorrow could, and probably will be, the last time we see a Ric Flair match. What a great ceremony and a special moment for him. There can never be another like him, and I feel so privileged to be alive and able to watch that show tomorrow.

- 24-Man Battle Royal with the winner facing ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero later on in the night

I think Kane will probably win this one, or maybe Henry after he's actually been put back on TV again as a monster.
My underdog choice is Sevie Richards who recently got added to the match.
And Chavo Guerrero will lose to whoever wins.

But how do we know that Colin Delaney won't be added into the match? You could have Dreamer get taken out before the match and Delaney taking his place. Which would make sense if it was on TV.

- Women's Champion Beth Phoenix and Melina vs. Maria and Ashley (Playboy BunnyMania Lumberjill Match)

There can only be one winner of this, and logic dictates that it's the team who have gotten their tits out.

- Finlay vs. JBL (Belfast Brawl)

It's Finlay's type of match, he needs to get revenge, etc. Hornswoggle will probably interfere.

- Batista vs. Umaga

The day Umaga wins at Wrestlemania...

- CM Punk vs. Carlito vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. MVP vs. John Morrison vs. Chris Jericho vs. Shelton Benjamin (Money in the Bank Ladder Match)

If Hardy returns, he'll probably win. And saying that, he could come back and not actually be in the match to take MVP out and really throw it open.

- Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels (Career Threatening Match)

I don't see any reason for Flair to carry on any longer.

- Floyd 'Money' Mayweather vs. Big Show (No Holds Barred Match)

Floyd wouldn't come to the 'E to lose, especially with his impressive win/loss record (even beating Ricky Hatton, the bastard). This is no holds barred, knockouts count, and Floyd has his entourage. I expect a pretty gritty rubbish match.

- WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Triple H

I won't pretend to care. I'll just guess something ridiculous for the sake of it. Randy Orton to win after Flair interrupts and murders John Cena, and Triple H turns heel, and Batista comes out as a heel and they reunite Evolution.

- World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs. The Undertaker

Taker will go 16-0. Edge doesn't need this win.

Seems no one will think Chavo will retain tonight. It will be interesting to see who he has to go up against. I just hope that if he does indeed lose the belt, let it not be a squash.

Also none of you think Orton will retain either.. WWE may just go that route since it will be the last thing people suspect, and WWE loves the whole suprise factor.

I'm just going to make some quick picks (Or what should be some quick picks)

MITB: CM Punk... I'm tired of people saying that Punk isn't ready to win such a high-profile match then they turn around and say that MVP deserves to win. Fun Fact: Punk has actually been on TV for a longer period of time than MVP has. Punk is also the most over of the two. Besides, with WWE wanting to cater to the kiddies, it would make sense to have the drug-free dude win a big match.

And I agree with D-Lucks (I believe it was him) saying that Matt Hardy will either be the 8th participant or he will run-in and cost MVP the match.

Beth Phoenix and Melina vs Maria and Ashley: *Sigh* I'm picking Maria and Ashley because... Because this is WWE we're talking about.

Finlay vs JBL: The storyline surrounding this match is so damn stupid. As for the match itself, we have two of the stiffest workers in WWE going at it in what is basically a Street Fight. My dark-horse pick for MOTN. Finlay picks up the win thanks to Hornswoggle's "triumphant" return.

ECW 24-Man Battle Royal: I'm going to go with a wild guess... Jamie Noble will win the Battle Royal and win the ECW title.... Yeah >_>

ECW Championship Match: See Above.

Ric Flair vs HBK: You know, what... There's no way I'm picking Shawn Michaels. Ric Flair gets the win because he fuckin deserves it.

And I've gotten lazy... Taker wins, RANDALL KEITH ORTON ESQ. retains the WWE title, and I won't bother picking Floyd vs Show.

See, QUICK! Everyone, enjoy Wrestlemania.

Some quick predictions;

1. Women's Champion Beth Phoenix and Melina vs. Maria and Ashley (Playboy BunnyMania Lumberjill Match)

Does anyone really care about this match? I'll be entirely honest, i don't have a clue whats going on with this. Every time the diva's come on during RAW, SD or ECW i tend to skip forward. Therefore i can't really make a prediction. I'll go with Beth Phoenix and Melina though. Simply because Faces tend to win at WrestleMania but there's got to be a sense of balance somewhere, aka, in one the lesser matches.

2. Finlay vs. JBL (Belfast Brawl)

The storylines been horrible but the match that should (i repeat should, as it probably wont) end it will almost certainly be a good one. Both are good wrestlers, and i'm expecting a good brawl from the pair of them. I see Finlay winning, as others have said, possibly with help from Hornswoggle. The fan favorite, father and son celebrating seems a much more likely option than a stream of boo's for JBL.

3. 24-Man Battle Royal with the winner facing ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero later on in the night

With so many participants, it's hard to choose just one winner. Don't tend to watch ECW that much either, so i don't know who's being pushed on that show. Apparently Tommy Dreamer? Well it would make sense for him to finally get his beloved belt back. On the Smackdown side of things i see two main contenders. Mark Henry and Kane. Henry's been receiving a hell of a push lately, kicking more ass in the past few weeks than i've seen him kick in years. Kane however is long overdue a top tier title, and i've read rumours that he's looking to retire soon. Let him have a good run before he does. Out of these three it's a split decision. Kane or Dreamer. I can't decide.

4. ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero vs. Kane/Tommy Dreamer

Regardless of who wins the battle royal, i see that man winning the title tonight. It makes sense as it opens up a brand new fued between Chavo and the champion, with the old rematch claus and what not. Something that could really work is if Kane wins it. From there the WWE could do a Brothers of Destruction vs. Edge & Chavo angle. Good stuff!

5. Batista vs. Umaga

Another of what should be an interesting match. Power vs. Power, RAW vs. Smackdown. I really think these two will continue fueding after Mania, meaning Umaga's a good candidate to win, by cheating tactics no doubt though, possibly involving Regal. This way both men are kept strong, with Batista only losing because of dodgy circumstances.

6. CM Punk vs. Carlito vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. MVP vs. John Morrison vs. Chris Jericho vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy? (Money in the Bank Ladder Match)

Right, lets sort out those who have chances from those who don't. Morrison and Carlito, both out. Only in to make up the numbers and for spots. Kennedy won it last year and mentioned that if he wins he'll be cashing it in tonight. Unlikley to happen in my opinion. Benjamin, although he's been given a good push latley, is still a little below the top tier guys to be winning this. At least in WWE's eyes. That leaves Punk, Jericho, MVP and possibly Matt Hardy. Although Jericho dosen't need the win, WWE may go with him. Established top guy, fan favorite. A safe choice. Hopefully not though. Money in the Bank matches, in the past, seem to have a tendancy of giving up and coming stars the win. Allowing them to elevate themselves to higher grounds. Old Chris dosen't need elevating. Punk i could see winning, he's been on quite the roll recently. However, the most sensible option in my eyes is for either MVP or Hardy to win it, and them continue there fued that was never really finished. If Hardy returns tonight, he'll win it. If not, MVP will win it and Hardy will return on Smackdown and confront MVP.

7. Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels (Career Threatening Match)

This has been done suprisingly well in my eyes. It's been interesting to watch, and they've got me excited for a match i wasn't really looking forward to. No disrespect to Flair, who's one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, but to quote Mr. Cena, his time is up. In what will no doubt be a very emotional match, i see the HBK getting the win cleanly. Then him and Flair hugging in the ring. There have been rumours that Flair's going to win tonight and continue his undefeated streak up until, heavens no, WrestleMania 25. Please, please no. End in tonight before the fans get bored and Flair, a suprise entrant in the 2009 Royal Rumble, wins it and looses to Cena (then the WWE champ) at WM25.

8. Floyd 'Money' Mayweather vs. Big Show (No Holds Barred Match)

Not something i'm paticuarly looking forward to, especially with the current face and heel roles these guys are playing so terribly. I think it's obvious to everyone who's walking out of this one smiling. Mayweather would not come to WWE to loose. He's going to win, probably by knockout, flash his cash around and leave. May an awful angle rest in peace and lets get Big Show fueding with a wrestler at the very least. Anyone remember a promo from ECW a little while back. Big Show and Great Khali stood in the center circle and Show saying something along the lines of "Phew, your a big man. And one day soon, me and you are going to have to find out who really is the true giant around here." Now's that time creative team.

9. World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs. The Undertaker

For the past month, Edge has squirmed his way out of the Undertakers grasp, more times than i can count. This being WrestleMania, it would make sense for Undertaker to finally wrap those hands around Edge's neck. Overcoming a few odds (enter Hawkins and Ryder), Taker hits a tombstone piledriver and the streak continues. 16-0 and the deadman has the belt again. Lets face it, it would be public suicide to end Takers streak. Edge is already one of, if not the, most hated heels in the business. Ending Taker's streak will do nothing much for him.

10. WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Triple H

The main event. Of boredom. Maybe a little unfair to whats likely to be a decent match, but still. With Jeff out of the picture for a long time at least, i see no new fan favorite to come and fued with the winner, whoever that may be. Although I think it's safe to say it's going to be Cena or Trips. Ortons been treat like a bitch this past month. Him retaining, i don't see. So, predictions for this, i'm gonna go with HHH. Cena winning just two months after coming back, while more than possible, seems a little rushed for me. WWE usually like to take there time with things like that. So i'm going with Triple H to win it, and continue fueding with Cena for a while. Adding Jericho to that mix wouldn't be a bad idea either. We shall have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Ah well, theres my two cents. Thoughts, opinions and the like?

It has not been confirmed that Matt will return. If he does, I see Y2J winning, if not, MVP will win.

Beth Phoenix and Melina vs Maria and Ashley: *Sigh* I'm picking Maria and Ashley because... Because this is WWE we're talking about.

Who cares? Ashley and Maria will win. I just hope that the match is short.

Easy pick, face (Finlay) wins here.

ECW 24-Man Battle Royal: I'm going to go with a wild guess... Jamie Noble will win the Battle Royal and win the ECW title.... Yeah >_>

It is time for Kane to be a champion again. Actually, as long as they do not let Khali win, I am fine.

ECW Championship Match: See Above.

Ric Flair vs HBK: You know, what... There's no way I'm picking Shawn Michaels. Ric Flair gets the win because he fuckin deserves it.

HBK will win. In the last RAW before WM, Ric Flair was built as an unstoppable force which suggested that HBK will "upset" him tonight. Plus, retiring at the biggest stage seems to be the best fit for Ric.

And I've gotten lazy... Taker wins, RANDALL KEITH ORTON ESQ. retains the WWE title, and I won't bother picking Floyd vs Show.

If Taker loses, more than 50% of the wrestling fans will quit watching WWE for good. Vince knows that and will have Takler winning here. As for the triple threat, I see HHH coming on top, it has been WAY TOO LONG for him Not to be the champion in his mind. Never count out the MIGHTY Captain INVINCIBLE though...but I am fairly confident that HHH will win tonight.

See, QUICK! Everyone, enjoy Wrestlemania.

Being on TV longer is a dumb excuse, I'm sorry. It's all about who's more over in their role. MVP is a great heel and the sky is the limit, and the company is behind him. Punk can be something but they have to get behind him. I'm not sure they're willing to give him the briefcase, though with the long amount of build they can give him and it (a full calendar year give or take) there's certainly a good argument to be made he should get the shot, as MVP is on his way up with or without that briefcase. Still, while Punk is the guy I'll be rooting for, in my gut. I think it's MVP.

And I agree with D-Lucks (I believe it was him) saying that Matt Hardy will either be the 8th participant or he will run-in and cost MVP the match.

That'd be great and smart, but I just can't bring myself to completely and truly believe WWE will do it. Prove me wrong creative!!!!

Beth Phoenix and Melina vs Maria and Ashley: *Sigh* I'm picking Maria and Ashley because... Because this is WWE we're talking about.

I just don't care, I'm only looking forward to it to see if it'll be as god awful as I think it will.

I want this storyline done, so let's just have JBL get destroyed, left bloody, Finlay and Horny win and this insipid storyline finally ends.

ECW 24-Man Battle Royal: I'm going to go with a wild guess... Jamie Noble will win the Battle Royal and win the ECW title.... Yeah >_>

Most probably Kane wins here.

ECW Championship Match: See Above.

I think Chavo may actually pull off the victory here as the company seems behind him as champion, and honestly, he can probably have better matches and elevate more talents in the role then somebody like Kane can.

Ric Flair vs HBK: You know, what... There's no way I'm picking Shawn Michaels. Ric Flair gets the win because he fuckin deserves it.

Flair goes out on his back. Flair has always been a traditionalist, and I see this one being the story of the valiant gladiator going down by the skin of his teeth, and then Flair bask in the adulation he deserves. Give him a little bit of a vacation, a post match farewell speech, and in a few months find a non-wrestling role for him (maybe as a co-GM for RAW or something).

And I've gotten lazy... Taker wins, RANDALL KEITH ORTON ESQ. retains the WWE title, and I won't bother picking Floyd vs Show.

Taker most likely gets the belt (and hopefully that match closes if not Flair-Michaels), Orton jobs to H (Randy has been a boring champion, and he's had a long enough run with the belt to prove it), Mayweather knocks out Big Show, obviously.

See, QUICK! Everyone, enjoy Wrestlemania.

I hope that the creative team can book him strong with the briefcase and he may be ready for a major title run by next year.

Wow, just wow. For being the 1st WM I've actually ever seen (no, I'm not kidding - me & my neighbor split the cost), it's something I don't think I'll ever forget. The HBK vs. Flair match was awesome (I almost cried at the end); the part where HBK said 'I'm sorry; I love you' was where I was absolutely sure that Flair was to retire - that & he was, according to my neighbor, wearing the exact outfit that he wore to his FIRST WM (I had seen that outfit in many of the really old clips of him when he was younger, so I'm not surprised).

Edge actually put up one fucking hell of a fight while still allowing Taker to retain his streak; my neighbor got scared when he saw Taker in one of HIS old outfits, too, (he said it was the one from WM10) that I had also seen in many of his early clips. I was actually thinking that the streak would also end on 15 (it sounded like a good number to end it on), but I should've known better, huh? :P

They ACTUALLY let CM Punk win! YAY! And even better, Matt Hardy had his revenge in such a cool way - nothing like a Twist of Fate off a ladder to make you smile. ^_^

It was weird that the 24-Man BR wasn't actually televised, but I guess they couldn't fit in - hence Chavo getting pwned by Kane in roughly 3-5 seconds; I think that's the shortest match I've ever seen! And I thought Batista's match on Friday was short....

In speaking of him, they actually BOOED Batista.....odd.

JBL actually WON.....MAYWEATHER actually WON......ORTON actually WON.........3 surprises in one night. Hey, at least Cena gets saved a few extra booes a year, although I was rooting for HHH.

But hey, we still can't forget the high point of the night: Santino getting right-crossed by Lawler AGAIN, then getting Clotheslined by SNOOP DOGG (!) - who then proceeds to make out with Maria. ^_^

This whole night was ACTUALLY WORTH the money, IMO, unlike past PPVs, for the first time in a long while.

First off, this year's show I believe was much better then last years. Way less commercials and bullshit, much more in ring action. Results were already given so I'll just run down my thoughts:

I was extremely happy to see CM Punk with the briefcase, I've been in with the crowd that said WWE needed to do something with Punk soon, or they were gonna miss the opportunity. With that said, they should have him hold onto the shot for awhile and slowly build him up. A change of brand would be good here too as he's obviously become too big for ECW, and needs new scenery. I think sending him to SD! to feud with someone like Edge when he ultimately regains the title would be a good idea.

Flair vs. Michaels, wow. A great match, second best of the night, and a great way to cap Flair's career. I was definitely near tears as that one ended, and I'm a bit choked up now as well. The finish was excellent, and Naitch got to walk out with his head held high. Thank you for the memories Ric, and thank you Shawn for giving him one last great performance.

Edge vs. Taker was the match of the night to me. Edge really dominated Taker on offense in a way that I've never recalled anyone doing previously. The booking was fantastic here as there were many points where I really believed the streak could be ending. This is to me Taker's best Mania performance ever, and WWE made the absolute right call in having this close the show, I'm really looking forward to the continuation of the Edge/Taker feud.

Everything else was what you'd expect, the stuff you thought would be solid or good was, the stuff you thought would be bad was bad, but not terribly painful and didn't drag on. A good show if you had the cash and the friends to split the price with, but not something I'd spend 55 bucks on solo. Worth grabbing the DVD though I'd say.

Poor Chavo. These last few years have not been kind.

I'm happy with the results I've been reading about. i'll definatly have to see it when it comes out on DVD. I'm suprised that Punk got the win, but I hope WWE doesn't rush his title match. I agree with Avie in that it should be a slow build to make him into a title contender. Unless they do the dumbass thing and make him challenge Kane. Punk has done all he can in ECW, time for him to be moved up to a different brand. I'm glad Matt Hardy got to do a run-in and cost MVP the MITB. Now thats a way to reignite a fued.

Flair getting to go out on this night also seems right. Thanks for all the memories Ric, WOOOOOOOOO!

Hey, both brothes of destruction are world champions at the same time. It's awesome to hear that Edge got to be dominant so he continues to look strong even despite the loss.

Has anyone read the big spoiler on PWInsider? I don't want to read it, in case I actually am surprised by Raw tonight. Is it worth waiting?

I decided to wait myself.

Amen Red, amen to everything you said, Flair was just finishing up in WWE when I began watching, but I've seen the DVD's, I've read his book, and after last night, yeah, I got choked up, no doubt. God bless Ric, hope we'll see you again soon.

Edge was really great last night, as he cut his promo last night, I turned to my friends and said "this guy is the heir apparent to Flair's heel legacy" this guy is just the absolutely most hateable son of a bitch I've seen in years, I love it. So of course, he's gotta be Red's favorite wrestler right now.
