Some quick predictions;
1. Women's Champion Beth Phoenix and Melina vs. Maria and Ashley (Playboy BunnyMania Lumberjill Match)
Does anyone really care about this match? I'll be entirely honest, i don't have a clue whats going on with this. Every time the diva's come on during RAW, SD or ECW i tend to skip forward. Therefore i can't really make a prediction. I'll go with Beth Phoenix and Melina though. Simply because Faces tend to win at WrestleMania but there's got to be a sense of balance somewhere, aka, in one the lesser matches.
2. Finlay vs. JBL (Belfast Brawl)
The storylines been horrible but the match that should (i repeat should, as it probably wont) end it will almost certainly be a good one. Both are good wrestlers, and i'm expecting a good brawl from the pair of them. I see Finlay winning, as others have said, possibly with help from Hornswoggle. The fan favorite, father and son celebrating seems a much more likely option than a stream of boo's for JBL.
3. 24-Man Battle Royal with the winner facing ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero later on in the night
With so many participants, it's hard to choose just one winner. Don't tend to watch ECW that much either, so i don't know who's being pushed on that show. Apparently Tommy Dreamer? Well it would make sense for him to finally get his beloved belt back. On the Smackdown side of things i see two main contenders. Mark Henry and Kane. Henry's been receiving a hell of a push lately, kicking more ass in the past few weeks than i've seen him kick in years. Kane however is long overdue a top tier title, and i've read rumours that he's looking to retire soon. Let him have a good run before he does. Out of these three it's a split decision. Kane or Dreamer. I can't decide.
4. ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero vs. Kane/Tommy Dreamer
Regardless of who wins the battle royal, i see that man winning the title tonight. It makes sense as it opens up a brand new fued between Chavo and the champion, with the old rematch claus and what not. Something that could really work is if Kane wins it. From there the WWE could do a Brothers of Destruction vs. Edge & Chavo angle. Good stuff!
5. Batista vs. Umaga
Another of what should be an interesting match. Power vs. Power, RAW vs. Smackdown. I really think these two will continue fueding after Mania, meaning Umaga's a good candidate to win, by cheating tactics no doubt though, possibly involving Regal. This way both men are kept strong, with Batista only losing because of dodgy circumstances.
6. CM Punk vs. Carlito vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. MVP vs. John Morrison vs. Chris Jericho vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy? (Money in the Bank Ladder Match)
Right, lets sort out those who have chances from those who don't. Morrison and Carlito, both out. Only in to make up the numbers and for spots. Kennedy won it last year and mentioned that if he wins he'll be cashing it in tonight. Unlikley to happen in my opinion. Benjamin, although he's been given a good push latley, is still a little below the top tier guys to be winning this. At least in WWE's eyes. That leaves Punk, Jericho, MVP and possibly Matt Hardy. Although Jericho dosen't need the win, WWE may go with him. Established top guy, fan favorite. A safe choice. Hopefully not though. Money in the Bank matches, in the past, seem to have a tendancy of giving up and coming stars the win. Allowing them to elevate themselves to higher grounds. Old Chris dosen't need elevating. Punk i could see winning, he's been on quite the roll recently. However, the most sensible option in my eyes is for either MVP or Hardy to win it, and them continue there fued that was never really finished. If Hardy returns tonight, he'll win it. If not, MVP will win it and Hardy will return on Smackdown and confront MVP.
7. Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels (Career Threatening Match)
This has been done suprisingly well in my eyes. It's been interesting to watch, and they've got me excited for a match i wasn't really looking forward to. No disrespect to Flair, who's one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, but to quote Mr. Cena, his time is up. In what will no doubt be a very emotional match, i see the HBK getting the win cleanly. Then him and Flair hugging in the ring. There have been rumours that Flair's going to win tonight and continue his undefeated streak up until, heavens no, WrestleMania 25. Please, please no. End in tonight before the fans get bored and Flair, a suprise entrant in the 2009 Royal Rumble, wins it and looses to Cena (then the WWE champ) at WM25.
8. Floyd 'Money' Mayweather vs. Big Show (No Holds Barred Match)
Not something i'm paticuarly looking forward to, especially with the current face and heel roles these guys are playing so terribly. I think it's obvious to everyone who's walking out of this one smiling. Mayweather would not come to WWE to loose. He's going to win, probably by knockout, flash his cash around and leave. May an awful angle rest in peace and lets get Big Show fueding with a wrestler at the very least. Anyone remember a promo from ECW a little while back. Big Show and Great Khali stood in the center circle and Show saying something along the lines of "Phew, your a big man. And one day soon, me and you are going to have to find out who really is the true giant around here." Now's that time creative team.
9. World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs. The Undertaker
For the past month, Edge has squirmed his way out of the Undertakers grasp, more times than i can count. This being WrestleMania, it would make sense for Undertaker to finally wrap those hands around Edge's neck. Overcoming a few odds (enter Hawkins and Ryder), Taker hits a tombstone piledriver and the streak continues. 16-0 and the deadman has the belt again. Lets face it, it would be public suicide to end Takers streak. Edge is already one of, if not the, most hated heels in the business. Ending Taker's streak will do nothing much for him.
10. WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Triple H
The main event. Of boredom. Maybe a little unfair to whats likely to be a decent match, but still. With Jeff out of the picture for a long time at least, i see no new fan favorite to come and fued with the winner, whoever that may be. Although I think it's safe to say it's going to be Cena or Trips. Ortons been treat like a bitch this past month. Him retaining, i don't see. So, predictions for this, i'm gonna go with HHH. Cena winning just two months after coming back, while more than possible, seems a little rushed for me. WWE usually like to take there time with things like that. So i'm going with Triple H to win it, and continue fueding with Cena for a while. Adding Jericho to that mix wouldn't be a bad idea either. We shall have to wait and see how it all plays out.
Ah well, theres my two cents. Thoughts, opinions and the like?
