Raw was pretty good last night. That tag match between Jericho/Punk vs. MVP/Carlito was a fun one to watch. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Jericho and MVP will do on SD.
Me too, I think that might be the best thing to do with Jericho come draft time. Hand him to SD! and let him feud with some of the folks over there, there are so many guys I could see him having great matches with heel or face on that brand. Jericho for SD!! I'm starting the campaign here and now!!!
Is it sad (or strange) that the match I'm least intested in has smoking hot women in it? And I loves me some smoking hot women! Oh wait, that poser punk chick is in it....Now its even worse than it was before. I would have been ok with Beth in a title defense, but this match is garanteed to be the worst on the show.
On a scale of 1-10? This match will be -3. There's NO ONE on the face side that is gonna be able to lead this garbage. Neither one of them can wrestle, and most likely, Beth will probably wind up re-injuring Trashley because she's such a fucking twig. I'm with Dave Scherer, I just hope this damn garbage is quick.
Now that I think about it, other title defenses would have been nice too.. But both the IC and U.S. champs are in the MITB, as well as one of the tag champs. The Raw brand tag champs are probably going to show up in the battle royal. At least the ECW title is going to be defended.
I'm starting to get to the point where I'm leaning towards that camp that says do away with the US title, the IC title, and the World tag titles, and just have the three major belts. Have the Women's belt and the WWE tag belts be defended across all shows, and there you go. There's far too many titles in the company and far too many of them don't matter. The fact that only three of them will be contested at the biggest show of the year says it better then I ever could.
I didn't mind Flair getting the win over Orton. Hey, in case you forgot, Flair's been a champ 16 times, so its not like he's never beaten a world champion before. Plus it's a great way to send him off from Raw if he is indeed going to lose at Mania.
Agreed. Is Flair getting old? Yes. Should Flair retire? God Yes. Is he still Ric Fucking Flair, perhaps the best overall performer in the history of this business, the guy that made more big stars then ANYONE? The guy who when you could find nothing good in WCW when you could shit on everything else, but you still had to say: "Yeah, they're trash, but dammit, they still got Flair"? YES YES YES. There's no shame for Orton to job to him, and the people won't remember it in a few months time anyway. Flair should be treated with reverence and respect as he prepares to cap a career that can never be duplicated. His promo last night was just great...plus, again, Orton isn't the big star they want him to be, so screw him, I would rather see Flair get that last great win at his expense. ESPECIALLY if he ISN'T going to lose at Mania, because WWE has now made it appear like there's not really any chance Michaels will be losing to him.
