That's wishful thinking at it's finest bro, Punk is not winning this, and really dosen't seem poised to do anything of merit. I think he's there to make sure that he's still seen as important, and it looks like he's already poised to feud with Shelton after the fact.

We also found on that there will be a tri brand 24 person battle royal at Mania, with the winner to immidiatly face Chavo for the ECW Title. Not the best way to do it, but at least Chavo and the title will have a place on the show, as well as 24 guys who didn't have matches.

Plus, I just really like a well done battle royal :)

I think it's about time for Kofi to be put into a fued. It will probably happen after Mania, but the guy is ready for a storyline or something.

You know what I'd honestly do if I was booking? I have Kofi win the battle royal and upset Chavo for the ECW title. Nobody will see it coming, and it'd be something to shake the brand up and make people go "I wanna see this" ECW dosen't matter at this point, the belt doesn't matter at this point, so why not just stick it on a young talented babyface, have him feud with the more accomplished heel Chavo, and see what happens?

Kofi winning it is really wishful thinking. The guys who have been around longer would have a fit if he went that far in his PPV debut. It would definatly be a shocker though, and it would get people's attention.

Punk has a better shot that most in that match, unless WWE pulls a fast one and has someone we never considered to win it do just that. Honestly, how suprised would you be if Carlito won the match?

As suprised as if someone told me last week that Jeff would be pulled from the match and not back until Backlash :(

I like Punk, but at this point the guy has jobbed clean to Chavo twice, he jobbed clean to Edge twice, he was barely able to get by BDV to get into the match. This guy has NO CHANCE to win MITB the way he's been booked, and if he did, he'd be the first guy to cash in and lose. Paul E. leaving was the worst thing that could have happened to Punk.

Jeff back at Backlash? What makes you think Jeff will be back at all? They already told him they want him in rehab, and he refused. So they can either keep him suspended until he goes (it's in the wellness policy, read up) or they just outright release him. The long term plan was for the guy to headline summerslam, that won't happen now, even if he comes back...he's mid-card forever now because he can't be trusted, and if he violates again, he's fired. They'll never put a major strap on him again after this.

You drive a very good point. As far as guys going in who have looked strong, I would have to give the nod to Benjamin. The guy is the only one to have a long winning streak going in, and is one we can all count on to be a spot master. But will he win it? Not very probable, but if he did that could be a very interesting and smart thing for WWE to do if they are serious with pushing the guy. He could carry around that case for a while, picking up several wins and even defending that contract he won to build momentum , then cash that sucker in.

As for Jeff, I heard (though not through a reliable source) that he did enter rehab. Still it sucks that this has happened to him as it dooms him to be a mid-carder no matter how over he may be.

I can't have sympathy for a guy that knew the rules changed, and he shouldn't be doing this shit, and he did it anyway. Yeah there's the very small percentage of a chance that Jeff may have unknowingly taken something because he's the type of guy that if somebody in a bar hands him a drink, he drinks it. But even if that's what happened, you still have to lay the ultimate responsibility on Jeff because 1) it's dumb to drink anything you didn't pay for yourself and watch the bartender mix up. 2) When you work for a company that can and will drug test you, you should never ever place yourself into a position where you could knowingly or unknowingly be carrying something in your system that would violate that policy. In the end, Jeff brought all this on himself, and while it's very sad, it's saddest to me for his fans, for the people that supported and believed in him. He let those people down, he let himself down too.

Have fun dude! I'm going to a concert tommorrow.

I am looking forward to SD, even though I couldn't help but read the MITB spolier. Other than that I have no idea whats going to go down. I am looking forward to seeing what MVP and Batista do with a no hold barred match as it means that MVP has to get a pin or submission to keep his title. My guess is that Umaga makes an apperance. (If that actually happens keep in mind I don't read SD spoilers)

Wow, I thought MVP and Batista had a great match and it was booked great. MVP hung and looked like he could have beaten Batista at several points during the bout, and then Umaga came out to protect Batista from the clean job and keep him strong. Excellent stuff I thought, and performances like that will take MVP to that next level, and make him worthy when he wins MITB.

Not necessarily. I believe that Orton once failed the wellness policy and was depushed for a long period of time after he came back. But look at him now, he is the WWE champion. There is no doubt that Jeff will be depushed when he comes back. But if he learns the lesson, he will be heading to the promise land once again after the punishment is over.

Orton has been fined for pot, I know that from his own admission. I know he was suspended for destroying that hotel room. I don't remember for a fact if he got suspended, but if he was, that's strike 1. Jeff is on strike 2, and the whole reason he went to TNA was because they knew he was drugged up the last time they wanted to give him the big push in 02, they said "get clean" he said "I don't have a problem, I'll walk". This is a pattern with him now. So if WWE trusts him after this if he comes back, they're flat out nuts.

I liked the MVP/Batista match last night. They really had it so that MVP lookied like he could have won with some of those big moves he hit. Batista did an awesome job selling that kick to the head when they were outside of the ring.

The crowd wasn't sure who to root for during the Miz/Morrison match. Heel vs heel is always a tricky one to do. They had a decent match but I think the lack of reactions made it hard for them.

Wait, so you know how the MITB is being listed as a 7 man competition now? Do you think maybe WWE will pull a Cena-like swerve and put Matt Hardy in the 8th spot and have him win? Then he and MVP can feud over the briefcase and the US belt.
I think it'd work just as well as having MVP win it outright, and would give the fans a nice face victory for Mania.

I enjoyed Smackdown last night. Overall it was a good show.

I thought that the big show match could have been better. Rather than facing Yang and Moore, show could have faced a team like Duece and Domino. A tag team all the same, but a heel tag team meaning that fans would have been completley behind show.

Miz and Morrison put on a far better match that i expected. Shame that Morrison's just in it to make up the numbers (which is apprently now seven :/). Still, hopefully he'll be involved in a few spots.

I didn't think Kane, Khali, etc was too great. Kane seemed to play little part in the match. Noble just took a beating. Still, it will be interesting to see these guys in the battle royal. Personally i'm thinking it's gonna be Kane.

Batista, MVP was definatley the match of the night. Both looked strong, and as many expected, Umaga showed up adding to his fued with Batista. I know plenty of people hate Batista, but personally i think he's an excellent wrestler. Some of his matches with Taker were fantastic, and i look forward to see where WWE is going with him after WM.

Flair, HBK, Edge and co, was a bit of a letdown for me. Apart from HBK kicking a bit of ass towards the end, it was pretty much just a double teamed assult for fifteen minutes. I can see why they did it, but still. Undertaker showing up, again as many expected, is where things started to get interesting. His double chokeslam on Hawkins and Ryder was impressive. Again, looking forward to his match at Mania.

Holy Crap!

The following is from Jim Ross' official blog:

The Jeff Hardy Saga continues...
Filed under: Personal %uFFFD%uFFFD" on March 15, 2008

The fall out of the 60 day suspension of Jeff Hardy for a second violation of the WWE Wellness Policy is still making news. Sadly, Friday night, Jeff's home in North Carolina burned to the ground and he lost essentially every thing he had and most sadly his dog. Losing an animal one is close to is just like losing a family member to many people and we just experienced that with the death of our 18 year old cat Molly who had to be put down after suffering a serious of strokes.

Apparently Matt Hardy saw smoke coming from Jeff's home on Friday night, discovered that no one was home, but arrived at the house too late to do any thing but watch it burn to the ground.

These are challenging times for Jeff to say the least. Not only has he incurred his second strike with only one remaining before he would be terminated from the WWE, his situation has been underscored by the fact that his suspension went public per the WWE policy, which went into effect on November 1 and with which I wholeheartedly agree. Now Jeff's home has been destroyed with the heart breaking reality that his beloved dog died in the fire as well.

Jeff's career can be rebuilt if he so chooses to committing to do such. This commitment cannot be a short term commitment, but a life time commitment that must see him take it one day at a time and have the expressed goal of being successful in 24 hours intervals. I am one that truly believes that Jeff can make this happen, especially if those close to him offer Jeff the kind of support that he needs and that he seeks the wisdom and advise of a counselor who can help Jeff understand why these life and career threatening mistakes are being made.

Jeff's home can be rebuilt materially, as well, but his many personal affects now nothing more than a memory. I hope this tragedy doesn't push Jeff to the edge of the proverbial cliff to where his wrestling career becomes nothing more than a memory as well.

I grieve for the loss of the animal. I can only imagine what Jeff Hardy must be going through at this time. without question Jeff is being sternly tested. I hope he passes this test and the one's to come admirably.

Wow.... That really sucks.

It is so much better if the heel is the one who is chased instead of the other way around.

The chase is not only one person's though. Hardy would be chasing the US title, and MVP would say that the only way he would ever put his title on the line is if Hardy's briefcase was up for contention as well.
And bam, you have a US title that matters, MVP/Hardy reignited, and two of the most promising wrestlers on the highway to the main event.

I think they've become very solid, it's a shame that they can probably only go so far as an act though because WWE just doesn't care about tag teams and puts a glass ceiling over how far any of them can go.

I remember when we had to put our dog down in December of 02. I still miss him every day, that kind of hurt never stops. My thoughts go out to Jeff and his family at this time, and I echo everything Ross said. I really hope this is a situation Jeff can come back from, but he's got want it, want it maybe more then he's ever wanted anything, and I hope he does and will.

Jeff is going through some tough times now. The loss of his dog, house, everything he owns, being suspended...Quite a bit in a short period of time. I'm glad he and the rest of his family were not hurt in the fire, and I really hope Jeff can bounce back from all this. A renewed Jeff Hardy is what we all want, not just for his in-ring career, but his life.

My prayers go out to ya Jeff.

That would be tough considering that he was living in a double-wide trailer. Also the reason why teh police do not suspect Jeff is because he does not have home insurance... Fire officals are still unclear as to what happened. But as I said Jeff is not considered a suspect so we will just have to wait and see what happens.

A bit of news for tonight's RAW. Orton and Cena vs the world will be the Main Event.. I'm guessing Cena will make everyone tap-out to the STFU in about 5 minutes.

And according to PWinsider, ECW and SD talent are scheduled to be on tonight's RAW. Hopefully this will mean some fresh match-ups and some more build to the WM matches that don't include Mayweather and Big Show.

WOW! RAW tonight was dare I say, entertaining?

Carlito vs Punk was a good tv match and I loved the set-up for the Go2Sleep. I enjoyed the Umaga squash and the underlying theme of Kendrick leaving London by himself... Could it be that WWE will actually do something with them? Probably not.

Santino stealing Jerry's sub=GOLD!!!

Flair vs Vince was the worst Street Fight in history, but the ending with Flair hiting the Splash (half-star flop splash?) through the table made me go nuts.

Props to Jericho for getting punched by Show because that really, really looked like it hurt. The main event was what it was, and although we'll probably never see it, I would like to see Orton and Cena become a real team ala the two-man power trip (Minus the part where one of them tears a quad).

Yes.. I'm pulling a Dream of Duke and I'm triple posting. Candice got injured.. AGAIN!!

The following is from WWE.com:

LAFAYETTE, La. WWE Diva Candice Michelle injured her left shoulder tonight during her tag team match with Maria against Jillian and Victoria on Raw Monday, WWE.com has learned. Candice has been sent to a Lafayette medical center for X-rays.

"Candice has pain in her left clavicle area," said WWE Athletic Trainer Chris Brannon.

Her shoulder is iced down and is immobilized. She was sent in for X-rays to rule out a fracture."

Last October, Michelle broke her left clavicle during her match against WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix, forcing her to miss five months of action. This was Candice's first live-action since that injury.

Candice and March 2008 Playboy cover girl Maria are scheduled to face The Glamazon and Melina at WrestleMania XXIV in Orlando, Fla., in a BunnyMania Lumberjack Match on March 30. Check back with WWE.com for further updates as they become available.

Its like Candice Michelle is made of glass, and Kevin Nash.
