How about having Chavo coming out sucking up to Vicki to get another crack at Rey? Or Chavo can come out and say "The family dosen't like what your doing, but this issue with Rey is more important to me" why do you specifically have to invoke Eddie's name when you can simply imply it. People know why the family might be upset, and Chavo be upset...which frankly, is kind of confusing since aside from standing up to Vickie, he acts like a typical heel. I am happy to see him getting a bit of a push though, Chavo is criminally underrated.

I found it weird when Michael Cole was using Vickie Guerrero to make Rey seem face and Chavo seem Heel. He was describing how Chavo was invading poor Vickie's privacy, and then went on to say how malicious Vickie put Rey in a match with Chavo.

I think Heartbreak may have been being sarcastic, but I'm not sure.

Indeed I was.

It was indeed. Chavo and Rey can put on one hell of a match. Palumbo is being furhter made a heel and turning Noble a face in the process. All in all I liked last nights show.

Ron Killings has been telling people that he's now signed a contract with WWE that will see him bypass development and get an $80,000 per year downside guarantee. Chris Harris is rumored to have a similar deal.

Take it for what it is. Since Avie or anyone else with that account hasn't said anything this may just be a rumor.

I've been slightly behind on wrestling, having to watch the recordings of IMPACT & SD from 2 weeks ago & not having seen this week's RAW & ECW. Sorry about that, but I'm sure I'll get the jist of it after I read the last 4 pages I missed (which I'll read as I go along here).

I did notice that Maryse did appear again (wasn't she let go?), but didn't appear on last night's SD, like she was dropped again. However, at least Eve is on her way there, and the cute little Hawaiian girl (or is it the other girl?) became a locker room commentator.

In speaking of commentators, I dislike Coachman, but not as much now that he's back in the ringside chair; all that matters is that he's NOT JBL!!!!!

I'll buy a PWI account WHEN & IF I GET THE MONEY TO DO SO.

Oh, and GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! EDDIESPLOITATION LIVES AGAIN!!! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! DAMNIT!!!

Its a shame that women's wrestling isn't really a draw, and so ultimately this feud really doesn't make much money (if any) for TNA.

Are you kidding? If any business can make women's wrestling a draw, it's TNA. It's one main advantage that I see them having over the WWE.

If it's true, then Carlito and Marella will win, considering as there is no chance in hell of Drew McIntyre making it into the Royal Rumble.

It would be a long shot to expect them to let an ECW guy win the rumble, but it would do wonders for ECW's credibility.
That said, even if an ECW guy did win, they can choose any title to challenge, and who would choose the ECW?

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2008-01-13 11:17:01

I would highly doubt that the winner of the Rumble would chose the ECW title. Would that really be the headlineing match at WM?

There are rumors that Big Show will be returning to WWE. Again this is just a rumor, here is the article:

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

We reported earlier that The Wrestling Observer Newsletter had noted a big name of WWE's past - a multi-champion superstar was set to return with the company.

The January 14th edition of the Newsletter confirms that former multi-time WWE Champion Paul Wight - The Big Show - has either signed with the company or has agreed to a deal, and will be starting full-time very soon.

Big Show is down to 440 lbs after leaving pro wrestling to rest, and pursue a possible career in boxing, which obviously included boxing training that got him in quite a good shape. Dave Meltzer also mentions in the Observer that a part of his boxing deal was that Hulk Hogan was to be his "front man" acting like a manager in wrestling for him by doing promos and appearances. This was also the main reason many boxing promoters were actually interested in Big Show and paying him so much money to learn the sport. These plans, however, fell apart at some point, and Show realized that at his age, boxing might not be the right direction to go anyway. There have also been no recent updates or even talks of Hogan doing his own wrestling tour - a very discussed topic of the past. Hence with nothing on the horizon, Big Show is back with WWE.

An update on the Big Show situation from PWInsider:

We have been asked about rumors of Big Show returning to WWE. I have asked around and I don't know if it's a done deal or not but if he hasn't signed to return yet, all signs are that he will. He was trying to get into boxing, working with Hulk Hogan, but that fell apart with Hogan's own personal drama. The word I get is that he is in good shape and the back pain that caused him to leave the business has improved greatly.

I have mixed feelings about this honestly. If Show is back just for the money, I think it's a mistake, Show has more then enough money to set him for life from what I've heard, and his run during the only point when that junk on Tuesday night even resembled ECW was top to bottom great stuff, and a great way for him to be remembered. If this however is a motivated, and hungry Big Show, he can be an asset to whatever show he goes to, and I think I'd really like to see him back on ECW as he could be a great foe for CM Punk and maybe that feud that finally makes Punk more then a mid-carder who headlines the least popular show. I'm interested to see what version of the big man comes back, but I'm fearful that it will be like Jericho, or other big returns, where he will simply be put on RAW, jobbed out, and then settle into a mid-card role that renders him basically worthless.

No, I think the WWE has done, and continues to do some things right. The push of Jeff Hardy has been great, the way they elevated Edge has been fantastic. They've consistently kept Batista, Taker, and Edge in a feud at the top of SD! for most of the last year and kept it interesting. There's a LOT wrong with that company, but there are also some things they've done pretty well. One hopes they stay the course with the things they're doing right and turn things around. A healthy WWE creates a healthier business overall.

I agree with pretty much everything yer sayin on that note, I really do think were pretty damn overdue for the wrestling drought to be over and for it to get popular again, however I dont think Jerichos lack of an impact can be blamed solely on him. I think if they were to utilize him better, he could be the big draw that they expected him to be when he first came back. I really do.

On another note, how do you guys feel about TNA testing now?

sources: Wrestling Observer Newsletter, PWInsider.com

-- As reported earlier, TNA talent were told prior to the Final Resolution pay-per-view that drug testing would be conducted at that week's Impact tapings. However, it should also be noted that they never said anything about penalties for failing.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2008-01-15 00:26:32

The TNA policy should have teeth, or not be done at all. It's incredibly stupid that they told the talent to do interviews saying they were tested and nothing of the sort occured. They've now made their guys into liers...but what do you expect from a company that is considering Kevin Nash for world champ again.

Never knew that projector screen was so explosive. They could have done without and just had him shred the thing, rather than set off pyro. Especially when you consider the amount they used for JBL. That whole "mini-rumble" was in cloud of smoke.

Raw goes HD next week and it will be then we see HBK and Kennedy go at it again. Should be an awesome match. Kennedy......

Yeah, but for comcast customers the Rumble won't, apparently WWE has provided them no information on that. So for the first PPV available in Hi-Def, WWE has apparently dropped the ball huge.
