I mean dont get me wrong, I enjoy WRESTLING WRESTLING, especially tech guys like Triple H (I know hes the mans son in law and gets more face time than most, but you have to admit, the guy can WRESTLE.) But I really (I should say used to) ENJOY the storylines. They are the reason I preferred WWF over WCW back during the wars.

Another guy who impresses me with his tech wrestling is William Regal. Ever since I saw him Shoot on Goldberg and beat his ass I fell in love with the mans SKILLS. He also cuts AWESOME promos, wether hes a heel or a face.

I just miss the way things were. Hopefully the drought will end soon and things will go back to the way they used to/shoul be. Keep yer fingers crossed, fellas.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2007-12-06 14:00:40

If by drought, I hope you mean WWE's stagnation and idiotic creative direction. People like to act like it's somehow not wrestling's fault when it isn't popular like it is now. Hey, it's hard as hell and near impossible to stay on the cutting edge of pop culture, but there's NO reason that WWE, TNA, ROH, your local indies, etc. can't produce quality storylines and try to create new and exciting stars. In the case of WWE and TNA, they aren't, they aren't because their creative direction blows, or is in fact, directionless. Or it's because of politics and certain people at the top holding other people down, and doing what's best for them and not what's best for the show and the product.

The only way things will get better is if WWE realizes that what they're doing isn't working, and they try to really push people outside of the box, that the fans want to see, and come up with compelling storylines people can get invested in. I won't hold my breath though. TNA? Need to do the same but I think they're like WCW, it'll never happen, and that company will exist on;y as long as the Carters are willing to pump money into it.

Thats why Im hoping they realize how bad this "drought" has become and will get on the fucking ball the way they did during the "attitude" era, which in my opinion is the greatest era in the history of wrestling. It was such an AMAZING time to be a fan of wrestling that even their SATURDAY NIGHT show was better than raw is now. (The Hardy Boyz DOMINATED the saturday and sunday shows with AWESOME matches back in those days... Remember that?)

There's no one to steal from, I think that's their biggest problem right now, there isn't a hot product that's underground that they can steal the concepts and talent from to improve their own shows anymore (like they did with ECW, and don't make me fight you on that, because I goddamn will, I had a fight tuesday night about this shit with somebody). I mean, they can't really steal from UFC, they could try taking from some of ROH, and I don't think it would hurt them to be a little more "sports with gaga and soap opera" then where they're at now as "gaga and bad soap opera with sports".

They've already started taking talent from ROH. Guys like Colt Cabana and Matt Sydal are known as "ROH guys" and they're in OVW. Mickie James is actually a former ROH talent aswell. And then, of course... There's CM Punk who is by far the most successful ROH alum in WWE.

And Redangleprince, check your private messages when you can.

Watching ECW now. How can you guys keep calling Morrison and Miz a joke? They look like solid workers to me.

Who is this Kofi guy? Anyone have any info on the guy?

Morrison is a solid worker but bad on the mic, Miz is good on the mic but not as good in the ring... I like them as a team, but I can't take either guys seriously as singles competitors.

Who is this Kofi guy? Anyone have any info on the guy?

He's been in OVW for a long time and from the bits I've seen of him he looks good in the ring and he's great on the mic. I believe his finisher was called the Cool Runnings.

And speaking of OVW... Former ROH alum Matt Sydal won the OVW Heavyweight Title after being with them for just two months. I'm guessing he's been impressing the right people.

As for Red, do you have any preferences as to which wrestling school you'd like to go to?

Go for it, Red! ^_^ Kick everyone's ass. :P We're all behind ya'.

I didn't really bother paying a lot of attention to ECW tonight (recorded on Bright House during TNA) other than Kelly Kelly being smokin' as usual & missing the last part of the CM Punk/Mark Henry matchup due to the recorder cutting it short.... >_<a nd the Jamaican guy's promo - does anyone get the feeling that he's there to replace Carlito? I get the feeling that WWE Creative forsees Carlito's departure.

Anywho:

Assi9's TNA Yadda-Yadda-Yadda

(For some reason, my neighbor's comp won't let me do bold HTML tags at the moment. -_-)

Oh, gee, yeah A.J., that went over well - YOU COULDN'T FORSEE THE INEVITABLE TURNOUT!? LIKE KURT ANGLE WOULD REALLY LET SOMEONE ELSE BOSS HIM AROUND. Fucking moron. I've been wondering how long it'd take Tomko to get up & leave the retarded mess; I get the feeling that he'll either go solo from there or he'll knock all of their heads together & declare himself leader - he'd do better than any one of them considering he actually has the most sense. He really needs a bigger push, anyway. Also, more hilarity when the 2 wives were about to have a catfight. ^_^

Nothing about Scott Hall.

Also, nothing about the suitcases, but we know the outcome of that already. Daniels should've let Senshi have the suitcase......nyah-nyah. :P

Awesome Kong shows why she's.........well, awesome......at least in her eyes. Poor hot Asian chick with the title.......er, I mean Gail Kim.......... >_<

Btw, wtf does ODB stand for?

3D & Devine screwjob the MCMG & Jay Lethal, but again, we know the outcome of next week, where Macho Man Version 2 gets his comeupings and gets to flip 3d & Devine the proverbial bird by stealing back his title....literally.

Christy Hemme got attacked by that bandana-wearing Mexican guy again. Seriously, if you want to get rid of him, BAN HIM FROM THE ARENA. There, problem solved. Duh.

And last, Matt Morgan's an idiot, and he'll soon be with Daniels at the unemployment line.

Oh, and there was a NASCAR guy guest-commentating from some weird reason. o_O

Now, can anyone tell me about that little backstage brawl that the announcers couldn't talk about from last week?

It's been announced that there will be a ladder match between Jeff Hardy and Carlito for the IC title. Very interesting considering the situation. You would think with Carlito leaving WWE wouldn't put him in a high profile match like this. This could be WWE's way of saying they want him to stay, or to just give him one last big match before he goes. It will be a big shock if Carlito wins.

If they are able I know these two can put on one hell of a ladder match.

I have actually marked for Carlito and ranted about how much Ive hated him out loud to the TV. He's such a good heel, WWF is smart in trying to keep him from leaving.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2007-12-07 13:13:38

Assi9... ODB=One Dirty bitch. And supposedly Nash and Samoa Joe got into it backstage after the PPV (I'm guessing it was all planned by Vince Russo).

As for the Ladder Match. I see it as a last ditch effort to convince Carlito to stay. They give him a high-profile show in what's supposed to be a HUGE show for WWE. I'm hoping HHH turns heel and Carlito wins the IC title.

And you can add Sunny to the list of people who will be on RAW this monday.

So I guess they're NOT trying to replace Carlito with the Jamaican guy, then. Unless, like you said, this is just a sendoff match, but it sounds too good to be one. Sorry, Jeff, but give Carlito the IC title, just so he can get back to the ME level.

Obviously due to Joe telling him & Scott Hall off. And yet, last night they all worked together like there was no problem at all; I guess they decided to leave it all backstage.

I usually don't trust the Wrestling Observer (Let's just say I'm not a fan of Meltzer and his boys... except Derek Burgan >_>) but since its about Carlito, and I'm biased towards him, I feel the need to post this.

From the Wrestling Observer:

Carlito will be staying with WWE. He met with Vince McMahon at RAW on Monday and Vince talked him into staying even though Carlito had been unhappy with how he was being used and had even given his notice. He has now rescinded his notice. For whatever reason, WWE decided they didn't want to lose him right now despite the fact that he has been unhappy.

Well, it makes sense. I'd like to think there's at least one person with influence in the WWE that recognizes that Carlito has talent, even if they're too goddamn stupid to know how to harness that talent.
I'm sure the E would much rather keep skilled workers on their payrolls doing jack shit, than allow them the opportunity to go over to TNA or other rival promotions. Lol, did I just call TNA a rival promotion?

Yup... Its even been quoted! My guess is WWE believes that letting Carlito go would hurt their numbers (ratings wise) when it comes to the latino viewers.

Why? ISN'T TNA a rival promotion?

Anyway, at least somebody sees the potential threat of losing Carlito to TNA, so I was basically right in that they're giving him the push him - and we - want so he'll stay. Hopefully this works out for him.

True... But Rey is on SD, and Carlito was on RAW. We can't have the "A show" losing some viewers, right?

And some good news for TNA. Impact beat ECW in the ratings. Impact scored a 1.1 and ECW scored a 0.6. That sound you hear is Jeff Jarrett shitting his pants.

Teddy Long telling Edge off once & for all made me a very happy man. ^_^ Although my neighbor doesn't like Teddy, I got a kick out of it. (Like I said before, he has a pretty big list of people in wrestling he doesn't like.......at least the list includes Edge.)

Batista pwned Elijah Burke in one of the coolest moves I've yet seen (some sort of Spear-Spinebuster while Elijah was in mid-air); although I think he did it once before, but it was still kickass. Then he later Bombed Taker for getting Chokeslammed last week. :P And Edge ran away in fear again. Ahhhh, a happy ending tonight.

MVP also showed again that he has no respect for his elders. So he got beat up by Rey & an old Freebird guy. :P

On that note, good god - 5 OUT OF 6 IN A FAMILY OF WRESTLERS DEAD!? O_O Not to mention at least 2 suicides & I'm guessing an OD? Geez, shit almighty.

If Triple H does turn heel, where will he go if he loses to Jeff? I can't picture him doing anything else but going for the title as a heel.

Also, what do you think will happen with Lita on Monday?

He could turn on HBK and fued with him for a while. Jericho is still in the title mix so he may have to contend with whoever wins the #1 contender spot.

Also, what do you think will happen with Lita on Monday?

She and Trish could have a confrontation for old times sake.

Or maybe he could start Evolution MK2. With Umaga, Kennedy and Carlito.
