The drug policy has been INSANE since Benoit went to a rage and killed his wife and children. But what I am saying is that the company just cannot suspend everyone who failed the wellness test considering that most of them are the top talent that the WWE need for their main events. Who is going to watch a middle card, or say even a low card challenging Cena for the title? At least I won't.

It dosen't matter, you fuck up, you sit the hell down and somebody else steps up. The main eventers of now are the mid-carders of yesterday. This situation will create opportunity for those who step up and take it, and I hope the guys who get the ball run hard with it and score a touchdown and stay clean. The business HAS to clean the hell up.

A bit of a different subject, but has anyone seen the Straight Shootin DVD with Raven? The man is probably the smartest man in the business and it surprises me that he hasn't retired as an in-ring competitor to become a booker or an agent.

damn.... "things are looking up"???? I was really hoping it would be Mr. Kennedy. I mean... Mr. Kennedy can talk and he kinda looks like a McMahon....
so if it isn't Mr. Kennedy... then who the hell is it? It can't be a hardy boy cuz it's ONE son.
Snitsky?
Hornswoggle?
Hardcore Holly?
Kenny Dykstra?
John Morrison?
I hope we will be able to find out sometime next week.
ALSO... I noticed JR saying .... "mcmahon's sun is a raw superstar... or WWE supersar" that being said... it probably is a raw superstar.

In other news... RAW has been MUCH better without that Bobby Lashley.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2007-09-04 00:01:40

I was thinking Hrnswoggle since the cluse is "Things are looking up." I don't if that could work at all though.

I missed most of Raw tonight, I felt awful and decided to nap. I saw Jeff's match, Sandman hitting Santino with the stick, and the McMahon family segment. How was the rest of the show.

Jeff should has done a split legged moonsault on Umaga as a finisher. The way he won made it look a little too easy.

Considering that WWE usually blows these sorts of major storylines with things like this, I guess we can't rule it out....I think it could be interesting if CM Punk was his son, because you could do Vince trying to bond with him and offering him a beer or something and Punk just slapping him around. I'm NOT suggesting a new Austin vs. Mcmahon rehash, I'm saying you play this as Vince seriously trying to bond with his son and just totally not getting it. Think Dr. Evil and Scott Evil.

Thanks a fucking bunch, THQ. I'm not wasting my money on a piece of shit roster like that.

Christ, that looks pretty bad. I'm tempted not to buy it, seeing as I didn't really enjoy last years THAT much.
I think it's worth waiting a few months after it's come out to see whether the CAW is good enough to rectify the roster. If not, fuck it, I'll buy Pro Evolution Soccer instead.

If they did choose a Hardy it would not be both. They are brothers yes, but not twins. Things are looking up doesn't make any sense to me so I have no idea who it could be.

Come on! You guys are blasting the roster and the sure-fire suckage of the gameplay, but you didn't notice something important.

HHH
JBL
Vince
Shane

They're in the game... In a suit! Fuck the rest of the game, people are wearing suits. That's enough to make me buy the game. I can't wait to create Cody Rhodes... in a suit!

CM Punk? possibly
perhaps both Hardy Boys... they're both champs now.
maybe Kane? cuz he deserves a championship belt.

I hope we don't have to wait another month to figure this out...

Here's A random fact.

The first cage match ever was in 1937 Atlanta, Georgia between Jack Bloomfield and Count Petro Rossi.
The cage was made out of chicken wire.

Its a shame, if only they wore suits they would have been added to the roster. Guess I'll have to create London and Kendrick... In a SUIT!

Personally, I'll wait for Fire-Pro Wrestling to come out. I'm willing to sacrifice some of the graphics for what will probably be a better all-around game.

Man I haven't owned a WWE game since the original Smackdown! Ah good times. I have the guide laying around somewhere, I should look at the line up for nostalgia. That is disapointing that Londrick didn't make the new game, I supposeall of their moves would be a programmer's nightmare.

Honestly, with few exceptions, I look at this roster and what I see is a them probably suffering from accomodating the three brands, and just game maker laziness. This seems a much smaller roster then we've seen in the past, and it seems also that they were definitely trying to accomodate all three brands with kind of an "all-star feel" in terms of their main guys and their legends. You also have to remember rosters are done pretty much first thing, but I'm pretty sure they'll have snuck King Booker or John Morrison in there with some quick text modding (If I can do it with a gameshark, they should be able to do it). But to be honest, this roster seems a bit sparse, even if you are supposed to be doing some big all-star thing and THQ is really going to have to explain WHY it's so short, but I'd wonder if their current issues with WWE don't have something to do with it.

Here's the deal with the SD series....

The guy's at Yukes suck and are lazy, since there's a lot of wrestling/video game fans, the games sell a lot no matter how underwhelming they may be. Yukes sees that the sales are good (maybe great), they continue to be lazy and we get another crappy version the next year.

The only work they actually do is with the graphics and then we end up with a beautiful game.... That's riddled with stupid glitches and terrible gameplay.

Buh Buh Ray Dudley
Chris Jericho
Christian (Still part of the Brood)
Chyna
Debra
D'Lo Brown
D Von Dudley
Edge
Farooq
Gangrel
The Godfather
Hardcore Holly
Jeff Hardy (woot)

Ken Shamrock
Mankind
Mark Henry (Sexual chocolate *shudders*) He wasn't a fat sack of crap back then.
Matt Hardy (woot)
Mr. Ass
Paul Bearer (you can actually play as him)
Road Dogg
The Rock
Shane McMahon (in a suit)
Steve Blackman (I miss him, he was awesome)
Stone Cold
Test
Tori

I've stopped getting the SD games. I felt no desire to buy it last year, since my feeling was I was playing the same game over and over, but with a few different wrestlers. Now I know the basic part of the game is to win the main title, and thats fine, but the past few games didn't let you do anything else. No IC title runs, no tag teams, nothing extra to do. So I just didn't want to buy another game. Until one comes out with a damn good roster and a better story mode, then I might buy it.

And here's the proof

It wouldn't surprise me if they drop it to Cade and Murdoch in another show whilst in South Africa.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet, as it's it's a pretty significant development in the Benoit tragedy:

Chris Benoit had brain damage

Now, I must caution that I do not think this is the last word on the subject, and that you can say this means Benoit is not responsible for his actions. But I think this DOES at least say that simply labeling him a heartless monster is completely wrong, based on some cursory research I've done today there is very sound basis to think that the damage would absolutely have put Benoit in the frame of mind to believe his actions had some justification, but I don't believe it goes so far as to say he isn't responsible, or didn't make the decision, I'm saying that it seems apparent this was a man with impaired cognitive abilities, and that has to be considered in this whole sorry mess.

This also points out why the Wellness Policy should include psychological and neurological testing.

If WWE dosen't acknowledge the switch, absolutely. The policy in any company is usually "if we didn't televise it, it didn't happen" and I don't blame them because at this point, the money is made off the TV and the PPV, and not so much the non-televised shows, but I DO think it couldn't hurt every once in awhile to have title changes like this on your non-televised shows to send a message that you care about the audience going to these shows. Not to mention, why not send in a camera crew if you know in advance you'll do a title change and maybe show a clip on the television show, and hang onto the match to be done as an extra on a DVD? Wouldn't that make sense? ECW used to do similar things with their shows...yes, I know they had a slightly different business model, but the practice is sound I think.

Also, how much damage do you think Benoit's diving headbutt did?

I really don't know, like they said, you can't know unless a post-mortem scan is done on the individual's brain.

Also, how much damage do you think Benoit's diving headbutt did?

Probably a decent amount, but any concussion he had would have contributed. That's the thing, if you ask most people about what kind of wrestler he was, they'd say he was a submission based technical guy, but during his tenure in WWE especially, he was doing a lot of high impact ladder matches and crap. I mean, just go watch the Ladder Match DVD to see how many sick bumps and shots to the head he took in those matches. He had damage throughout his brain, all over.

Benoit made the right choice, if he didn't kill the kid he'd end up in some foster home, hes foster parents would get tired of dealing with him then just end up poisoning his food with arsenic. He saved him a lot of time.
