They probably just wanted to give the South Africe crowd a title change and they figured the tag titles were the easiest to switch. For all we know Cade and murdcok won the titles back the next night, or they instead they had the title switch on all their overseas shows.

The scheme for Unforgiven has been changed. I have read through a spoiler and it says that it is going to be Khali vs Rey vs Batista for the WHC. Does someone else here get tired of seeing Batista in the title matches? Why the hell does he get so many rematches? I have a feeling that he will keep on getting title opportunities until he finally wins the title. Big thumb down to Batista.

If they move Vis to SD, ECW loses one of it's lead heels. Course they would still have Burke and Miz and I guess Thorn.

I look forward to see what situation the team of Hardy and MVP will bring. I agree that its one of the best storylines they have going right now.

Taker is returning at Unforgiven. I heard that the company was not going to renew Mark Henry's contract after Unforgiven, so his feud with Taker should be very short. Personally, I would rather seeing the returning Taker winning the gold after he makes Henry RIP than seeing Batista getting ALL the tile shots.

Agreed, there's definitely a derth of talent on the brand, but I think they would draw the same with Mysterio in the slot, and it's annoying to me that WWE continues to underestimate and under value him as a draw.

I haven't heard they won't pick Henry back up, but it wouldn't shock me. Has Henry become a better worker and a more valuable asset? Without question, yes (no, he isn't perfect, but he's done some good work for them, and only a total jerkwad would discount that), but he continues to be injury prone. Hey, even if he was the lowest paid talent in the company (and obviously he isn't) a guy who's proven he can get seriously hurt at the drop of a hat and suddenly he's overpayed. I wouldn't be shocked either way if he is picked up or dropped the next time his contract comes up.

The ECW rating was up this week, so hopefully that'll be one checkbox in the "giving CM Punk an honest chance as champion" column.

We reported here yesterday that Chris Jericho has been in regular contact with WWE and the two sides are discussing Jericho's return to the company. We have another update to the Chris Jericho situation.

Chris Jericho and WWE remained in contact ever since Jericho's contract expired in the summer of 2005. Things have heated up ever since Jericho's appearance on Larry King Live in July. Anybody who saw Jericho's appearance knows that Jericho was very protective of WWE's role in the tragedy, laying the foundation for his eventual return. Jericho also became very friendly with WWE champion John Cena.

Since Larry King, Chris Jericho has been in more regular contact with WWE. WWE is ready to give Jericho a guaranteed 7-figure deal to come back.

So both sides are negotiating. WWE wants Jericho, Jericho's open to returning .. While anything can happen and the deal could fall through, it's likely only a matter of time before Y2J is back in WWE.

I'd be really happy if Jericho did indeed return. If used right they could really improve their main events.

I know this idea is a long shot, but what if McMahon's son turns out to be RVD? It would make that "Things are looking up" thing make a bit of senes, (at least if you translate that to mening a high flyer) and it would be a great way to bring him back to tv.

Course the likelyhood of this is slim but hey I think it would be kinda cool.

Sweet, Y2J could be back soon. Now the question is. which brand will he land. My guess is SD! since they are in dire need of talent there.

I think it's more like 0. RVD is perfectly fine enjoying his life and his time off and wait until he decides to come back and WWE is willing to make it worth it to him.

As far as Jericho, to me this is no shock, Jericho never said he was done, and WWE let him go because Jericho wanted to. There was no falling out, no bad blood. Jericho successfully bided his time and can pretty much name his price to any organization. SD! or ECW is the logical place to put him as both suffer from veteran/main eventer defiency, so that means he's of course gonna go to RAW.

Yes, it would be pretty sweet if Y2J came back SD could use him. SD just got raped in the drafting, that's what really took them off track.

Knowing how WWE likes to do things, I would think Jericho would go to Raw. After all it was Cena who ended up getting him "fired" when we last saw him. So there is a ready made fued if they choose to go that route.

I forgot that Y2J lost to Cena and got fired. That's another idea, possibly he could go to RAW and fight Cena for the title he'll most likely lose because Cena is overated.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Robert Huffman (King Booker) quit WWE when he was told that he was to be suspended for 60 days, as a punishment to the Signature Pharmacy bust. He was believed to have failed a Wellness Program test before, hence the 60 days suspension instead of 30.

While WWE is still trying to negotiate Huffman's staying with them, they're going on under the impression he's done. The two sides had been having troubles recently, with a major setback being John Laurinaitis' call to go with Florida for a developmental territory - where WWE would start from scratch - instead of going with Booker's already established PWA, which WWE had been loaning wrestlers to. After they made the call to stop that, Booker went to his friends at TNA and booked them for his shows instead, which didn't sit so well with anyone backstage, but they couldn't say much having pulled WWE talent from PWA.

Booker is pretty much set financially and has wanted out of wrestling for a while. At age 42, he's accomplished a lot, and thanks to his hip hop store doing well in Houston, and his two wrestling schools up and running, there's really no need for him to stick around.

Wow that seems so sudden. Then again, I heard hewanted to retire few years ago, but Sharmell kept him in the business. I'm disapointed he has to go out on the King Booker angle. I would have liked to see the spinarooni one last time.

I do not think that the WWE still remembers that. Edge took Mr. Kennedy's MITB. We were supposed to see Kennedy feuding with Edge, but we did not. Once again, I do not think that Y2J vs Cena is on the menu.

Lets hope it was for Lethals sake and that they don't let Lethal grow cold.

They let Samoa Joe drop him like a bitch later in the show...niiiiiice TNA...

As for Booker, pssh, I think Meltzer is just grubbing for headlines again. While it's POSSIBLE Book may walk here, he DID just sign a new deal that was very beneficial to him. I could see him leaving for all the reasons mentioned sure, but I could also see him staying through this deal looking at it as more money, a better schedule, and a chance to have his career end in a way he wishes. As King Booker he has been continually pushed as a top talent.

Hey aview, why do you hate Meltzer so much?

At least Kurt is no longer monopolizing the titles. I thought that was one fo the worst things TNA could have done. Kurt is an established star, he really didn't need the push of being capable of wining three titles.

I'm looking forward to see what they do on Raw tonight.

The finish came when Kurt went fr the Olympic Slam with Lethal attempting an escape only for Kurt to counter him into an ankle lock which Lethal countered into a roll-up pinfall victory.

I saw it.. It wa easily Letha's best match in TNA and in my opinion it was match of the night. To be honest the PPV as a whole was pretty good. It was great stuff to watch because the crowd went from thinking it would be a squash, to slowly believing that Lethal could win and eventually the entire Impact Zone was behind him.

I do agree with you in that I hope TNA doesn't blow the momentum Lethal has now. And we also saw the return of bad-ass Joe as he just killed Christian, security and was about to do the same to Matt Morgan. That's how Joe should be booked, as a killer, instead of being booked like a samoan idiot who gets fooled by everyone.

And by the way, its official... TNA is getting two hours starting on October the 4th.

Now, on to the WWE. Tonight we find out who Vince's kid is, and I get the feeling that we'll be dissapointed by the result.

I still think that it is going to be Mr. Kennedy. Snitsky is too green to be pushed. Plus, we all have not forgotten that he was a RAW JOBBER before he landed in ECW. After RAW is going to be in Mr. Kennedy's hometown.

Because he gets things wrong more then he gets it right, which to me shames the credibility of others who work hard (like PWInsider) and he's living off his past glories and has allowed personal bias into his reporting at times. I don't like shitty journalism period.

Who could be the son? I think it has to be someone Vince likes and wishes to push, I know Hornswoggle is the home town boy. I can't see it NOT being someone on RAW, or going to RAW. Carlito is possible I think, also Shitsky since Vince seems to like him...honestly it's a storyline I just can't predict the outcome for.

That means there's no one one that really fits as Vince's son. Except Shitsky, that seems to be the most logical outcome. And I'm talking in terms of WWE logic, not normal logic.

Well it is Hornswoggle. I wonder what they are going to do with this. I'm guessing Hornswoggle will kind of stalk Vince trying to seek his acceptence and will pop out at inapropriate times. Oh the shenanigans they will have.

Is it just me, or was Triple H eyeing CM Punk as he was leaving?

I think it's just comedy time. H was perhaps eyeing Punk to try and figure out how to make sure Punk dosen't get a bigger pop then him.

Kennedy will be hugely pushed when he gets back I'm sure, he's gotta take his lumps for being a moron, but when he's done there, he'll be back and back headed towards the top. Just probably not with this.
