I wonder when King Booker is coming back? I think it was sometime in the summer, like How Rey is slated to show back up in July. Maybe he will come back around that time too. I hope he has anotehr good run like he did before he had to have surgery. Maybe he will get drafted to Raw.

For some reason the Benoit/MVP match has been pulled from ONS and supposedly replaced with Kane vs. Mark Henry, thus making ONS that much more unwatchable.

Because an MVP-Benoit match could resemble the Eddie vs Dean matches from the orginal ECW, and we can't have that. Meanwhile, Kane vs Henry (which is a Lumberjack match) epitomizes Vince's version of Extreme Championship Wrestling.

I think WWE is either trying to trick people into thinking there's something different about this show then Judgement day or the others...or it's just that they've given up and realize that this show ain't really gonna draw. I've also hear Vengeance will be the "Night of Champions" Vince mentioned...of course, they don't mention that Backlash was also a show that featured all title matches as well...

Apparently, Vince has not given up pushing Mark Henry yet. Kane is known as the "star jobber" ever since he lost his title one day after he had won it. The only reason why the match will take place is because Vince still dreams to push Mark Henry as a monster heel. But once again, his master plan will fail.

Dusty Rhodes is trying to push Vince McMahon and head writer David Lagana into remaking ECW yet again to be more youth-oriented. Rhodes wants to develop all new characters and basically do what the original plan was since day one.

Lagana disagrees and wants to keep the course that the show is going. Vince also agrees with him, which means the brand will continue to run the course it has over the last few months.

I tend to agree with Dusty on this one. Let the younger guys have a spot to grown on.

I see your point and agree fully, but then again, Vince usually tends to think of himself first.

On another note, is this the best they could do for One Night Stand?

Dave Scherer also mentioned this idea on his hotline yesterday. ECW is completely directionless right now, and it would be a good idea to push it as the "Young lions" promotion where all the younger guys who aren't quite yet ready for RAW or SD! get the time to improve and master their skills in front of a live crowd, or guys like Umaga that have the ability, but are getting screwed because the boss wants to push himself or his favorites on the "Big Two" shows. They'll still need a couple veterans around (which is why I'm a proponent of sending Finlay or Benoit over there) who have the mechanical skills to improve them. There are too many guys that get put on RAW or SD! and then get lost in the shuffle because WWE can't get a ton of money out of them immediately. If you have a show where they can work nationally, and be the undercard of PPV's, to me it can only help them improve. If WWE dosen't want to do this, then turn off the lights in December because right now they're just getting nothing really from that brand, might as well try to develop some stars and salvage this disaster area if possible.

If they keep ECW around long enough it's bound to improve in some way. They are still in the process of trying to figure out what the hell they are supposed to do. There is still a possibility of it rising back to being a great show, but for now we just have to suffer through it.

Both WWE and The Sandman are being sued by Karlene Boutwell, a fan who claims that Sandman committed assault and battery against her at the 8/8/06 ECW taping in Nashville, TN. She is seeking $100,000 in damages. She claims that Sandman, "while bleeding from a self-imposed wound to his head, grabbed her, picked her up, and threw her, not only injuring her back and aggravating pre-existing injuries, but also exposing her to blood and humiliating her." Sandman did enter through the crowd during that show but no incident is visible.

I know the suit is legit, but I think the woman is just trying to get money from a false story.

I ended up missing SD. I did hear the opening match was excellent. How was the show?

If a fan couldn't win a lawsuit with the real ECW when he got burned off a flaming towel Terry Funk threw into the crowd just trying to get it off himself, this woman isn't getting any money here. Especially since the viewings of the tape that people have checked out (and my own recollections since that was a point when I'd actually religiously watched the show) show Sandman doing absolutely nothing wrong.

Outlaw, with all due respect, assuming that the ECW brand will simply get better by just continuing along is just not practical. Unless that show gets real direction soon and the creative crew isn't told to make it "Tuesday's with Vinnie" or the "It's all about Bobby Lashley" show...it's never going to get better. WWE is treating it as totally third rung for them, and I just don't see that changing even with the draft lottery (which I cannot find one person who finds the prospect of this in any way exciting...way to go WWE!) because the past lotteries have tended towards RAW winding up with all the top most talent and the other brand(s) getting whatever they don't want on the "A" show...which is just a crappy way to run your business.

Not if Vince treats ECW as the C show. As a matter of fact, that is exactly what is happening right now. Take a look, RAW has Cena, HBK, HHH; SD! has Taker and Edge. Whom does ECW have? Lashley? (what? where? wtf?) He was merely a main event JOBBER (jobbed to Booker) when he was in SD! brand. Now he is the man in the ECW? (wtf) You see, that is how Vince is treating with ECW. In one sentence: ECW does not have enough star power to compete against RAW and SD!.

Yeah I know. Just wishful thinking on my part. Is it so wrong to want this stuff to improve?

Anyway, I'd like to see CM Punk moved to either Raw or SD. The main reason is that so I can finally watch some CM matches.

Agreed. Granted, I can actually watch ECW, but there's really not a lot for Punk (or anyone else for that matter) to do in ECW. He's not in the title picture, so he can really only feud with Elijah Burke, Monty Brown or Kevin Thorne... that's it.

And its pretty much a given, ECW will get the short end of the stick come the draft. And is there anyone who truly believes that either John Cena or HHH are going to leave RAW?

Triple H made him, and Taker carried him for a couple bouts, but WWE and most of the fanbase have gotten wise to the limits of this guy...plus, he's in his early 40's at this point, so they know they can't really use him long term.

Batista has become a softy, but back in 1999 and 2000 when he was in OVW, he was spectacular and by the way Triple H needs to prove himself without the McMahons before he can prove anyone else. Without the McMahons, he would be goldless.

Here are my picks..

Candice vs Melina- I believe this is a non-title match, so Candince will get the victory.

Kane vs Mark Henry- I'm taking Henry for the reasons you mentioned

Randy Orton vs RVD- There's no way RVD wins this match. I pick Orton.

6-man tables tag match- I'm taking Punk, Sandman and Dreamer in this one, though I want to see someone getting Pounced through a table.

WGTT vs Hardys- I'm taking the WGTT, no real reason why, I just want them with the tag titles.

Lashley vs Vince- I'm taking Vince, Lashley goes to RAW in the draft and Vince ends up forfeiting the belt.

Edge vs Batista- Edge wins because Batista is NOT getting the tittle back.

Cena vs Khali- Something tells me Cena will win >_>

I think Melina will win just because shes a better wrestler.

I have to go with Henry Kane might have a chance.

Randy Orton vs RVD- There's no way RVD wins this match. I pick Orton.

Orton because he is a lot tougher then RVD.

Punk, Sandman, and Dreamer, be cause it's a elite tag team.

WGTT vs Hardys- I'm taking the WGTT, no real reason why, I just want them with the tag titles.

Hardys will beat WGTT.

Lashley vs Vince- I'm taking Vince, Lashley goes to RAW in the draft and Vince ends up forfeiting the belt.

Batista will get the belt back.

Cena will win because one half of the fans like him and they have to make the fans happy.

They might try to split the Hardy's soon so each can focus on a singles run. Matt has been goning a lot of momentum on SD and Jeff is always on the IC title hunt so a split is probably in the future.

If they split it will be a long time before they get back together, there will probally be a match for the intercont, Jeff will win that and it will be Matt vs Jeff after that match.

The Hardyz make money together, and I can't see WWE being gung ho to push them seperately, I think WWE should definitely try to flip the tag titles in this so they can have them match the top belt of their respective shows, or just have them out and out unified.

I wouldn't move Punk or Burke, I would maybe move Lashley, or at least start having him working with the younger ECW workers so they get some rub off whatever Lashley has acquired from his high profile position of late. ECW should be the place where they groom the younger talents to become major stars for RAW and SD!. But I still think the way this is going to go is just RAW getting more, and the other two getting fucked.

I would say it is unless Vince decides to reverse the title back onto himself again, and if he dosen't tommorow, it makes no sense that he could do it at Judgement Day, but wouldn't do it at or after ONS unless there's some reason given for why he can't or won't do it. I think we're finally done with this issue, but it definitely makes me wonder who fights Lashley next, and I fear it's going to be Shitsky.

Didn't I predict the outcome a few days ago? Yes, I did. Unfortunately, the feud will not be over until Vince uses his rematch clause in Summer Slam. It is going to be a long and boring feud.
