WWE World champion The Undertaker has suffered a torn bicep tendon and is scheduled to see a doctor (I'm guessing James Andrews, since they are in Birmingham, Alabama for TV tonight) today to have the injury examined. I was told by one person who has seen the injury that you can easily see where the torn muscle in his bicep has rolled up his arm towards his shoulder.

Could be good news for Mr. Kennedy fans though. That is, if they see fit to not put the title back on Batista.
Hopefully Taker will be alright though, he deserves a solid reign.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2007-05-01 12:47:43

Especially since 'Taker doesn't have much left in the tank. He'll probably be retiring in a couple of years so a good long reign now to wrap up his career would be nice.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2007-05-01 15:18:36

Damn that sucks. I was looking forward to a nice Taker title run. My guess is that if it's bead enough he will lose it back to Batista. But Taker could hold off on defending it if the recovery time isn't too bad.

The following is from WWE.com:

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After visiting famed orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews to have his injured shoulder examined, Bobby Lashley learned that he has a damaged rotator cuff but will not need surgery at this time.

Good that he doesn't need surgery.

MTV cancelled it.

If the bicep rolled up, I can't see where Taker won't need surgery for this. The prognosis I've heard on him getting surgery would be six months out of action, this is truly a sad break for both Taker and SD! as it's obvious that the draw at BackLash was so they could build to something like a Hell in the Cell at Judgement Day. It makes me wonder if Taker is going to try and gut through so he can finish the Batista program and WWE will just rest him till Judgement Day, but that could wind up only hurting him more and as a fan of Taker's, I want him to have good quality of life after wrestling is over, and not risk permanent damage now.

You know, I thought it's pretty interesting that they decided to give the victory in the 4-way (and wow! Vince actually admitted he took the match from ECW and modified it! I've never heard that happen before.) to RVD. Yeah, I know he's the only pushed Original really, but he dosen't have a contract extension right now, he's got a rep for being stiff, and he has busted guys open hard way in the past. Here's hoping Vince makes it Extreme Rules, because we all know "accidents" can happen in those sorts of matches...ah hell, I don't think we'll get that lucky. Unless RVD really is looking to quit and never ever come back.

WWE is a hell of a lot better without Lashley.
Although I hate Kahli.... I hope he does kick the crap out of Cena because he NEEDS to lose.
I hope RVD becomes the ECW champ but knowing Vince... he'll have the samoan bulldozer in his corner to help him out. I don't understand why the Samoan bulldozer does everything mcmahon says.
Also... I stopped watching RAW completely. I only watch ECW now. But I didn't get to see all of it tonite... I'm glad Kevin Thorn left the new breed. He didn't seem to fit in with those guys.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2007-05-02 07:20:17

With RVD in a match against Vince, and RVD not having a new contract yet (as far as I know), this doe snot bode well for RVD. Watch Vince pin him just to make RVD look bad.

Wow, Khali and Cena. Worst idea ever. It is lose lose. We either get Cena overcoming the odds and beating Khali makes him even more unbeatable. Or we get a shitty wrestler with no mic skills as champion.

We got Vince taking shit after shit on ECW's corpse.

Smackdown is doing all right. I am upset about Taker's injury and his reign may end far too early.

Thank god for The Hardys, London and Kendrick, WGTT, Nitro, Super Crazy, Carlito, Kennedy, Finlay and Kane. Pretty much all the talented people on the midcard.

I think there's a small possibility of Vince putting the belt on Rob as a way to help convince him that WWE will actually use him and focus on him within ECW if he resigns. Honestly, if you remove the idea that that belt has any connection to the true ECW, this is a decent angle, unfortunately I think the audience it's meant to get a reaction from has moved on from watching that show. I also don't like how they're basically blazing through the break up of the New Breed.

Agreed. The way I see it if RVD wins the title its Vince's way of saying we want you to re-sign so we're giving you one more chance as ECW Champ. If Vince wins that match, its probably his way of saying we don't care, do whatever you want once your contract runs out. And I have to agree about the NB as well. I hate to say but the breakup is happening reminds of the way a TNA angle unfold... In the span of one or two weeks.

And some Ring Of Honor news... They're taking the plunge and they're actually going to have PPV's starting in either June or July. The shows will be taped, edited and then shown on PPV. It could be a bad move because people could know the results before the PPV airs, although hardcore fans will probably buy the PPV anyways if the matches are great... Which is likely to happen.

Oh yeah.... The price of the PPV's is scheduled to be from 10 to 15 bucks (they're keaning towards 10 at the moment) which is a bargain considering that the WWE charges 40 bucks for PPV's that at times feel like 3 hour episodes of RAW or SD.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2007-05-03 11:47:00

I like Edge so I can't fully agree with you on this. Plus I don't like Goldberg so yeah... But you have to admit that if they went all out every night you would have less motivation to see a PPV, plus they would get hurt more often. So it being toned down a bit is ok in that sense.

Source: WrestlingObserver.com

As previously reported, RVD recently turned down WWE’s apparent final contract offer. Unless things change, he will be gone from the company when his contract runs out in late June. Since the contract is expiring, it doesn’t look like there will be a non-compete clause in effect, so he could work wherever he wants immediately. There has been no serious talk within TNA about signing RVD, but they likely would if they had the chance.

One of the ramifications of RVD leaving is how it may affect Sabu and Sandman, who both have a lot of backstage heat on them from WWE management. Their days with the company seem to be numbered, RVD and Heyman keeping them in line and out of trouble is viewed as the only thing that kept them from either quitting or being fired.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling informed Ring of Honor today that effective immediately, all TNA contracted talents have been pulled from scheduled and future ROH bookings.

With the departure of Christopher Daniels last week, that would mean that former ROH champions Homicide and Austin Aries are no longer be allowed to appear at Ring of Honor events and are already done with the company.

The expected ROH return of Samoa Joe later this year, which was foreshadowed when Joe defeated current ROH champion Takeshi Morishima the night before Morishima won the title, is also off the books.

TNA made the call after ROH's announcement yesterday that they signed a deal to begin airing taped PPV events on 7/1. The first PPV will be taped on 5/12 in New York City at the Manhattan Center.

TNA sources acknowledged that the decision will likely upset ROH fans, but felt they had no choice after learning about ROH's PPV expansion yesterday via the Internet. There's no word why the pulled talents couldn't appear on matches that wouldn't be aired on the taped PPV events.

ROH booker Gabe Sapolsky declined comment on the situation when contacted this morning, but given the way the ROH storylines have phased out TNA performers, this likely was not an unexpected move.

I understand the reasoning behind this decision... But this is a bitch move by TNA. Aries is SUSPENDED and he's also part onf one of ROH's biggest storylines at the moment (NRC vs The Resilience) so for them to not even allow Aries to show up once more at ROH and announce his departure is a shitty move.

And BAD NEWS FOR TAKER.... Spoilers ahead!

The Undertaker will be undergoing surgery to repair his torn bicep soon and will then be out for 6-8 months. He will be having the surgery shortly after the Smackdown taping on Tuesday, so one could assume that he will be dropping the World Title at the taping.

Well, tonight's Mark Henry's return; however, the timing's really fucked up for me, since last Friday........

My mom & I's roomate died. He was found 2 days later, face-down in a pond. We were certain how it happened, and that seems to be case: He got really fucked-up-wasted, tried to stumble home, tripped & fell. (He's tripped & fallen many a time before, but was never lethal.)

Things are now eerily awkward at home; I've been holding up remotely well, but my mom's having trouble. It's creepy how, even though I get upset over the stupidest crap, that I barely show any emotion when it comes to deaths of people I know, even though I definitely feel a lot of it.

Hopefully, watching Taker beat the fuck out of somebody will lighten the mood. Sorry to bring down the house on everyone, but I felt that you all should know about it, as it started on a wrestling night. Time waits for no one, does it?

Well, that's one way to get rid of a storyline: Get the major player of it injured. Shame it had to come to that, but whatever.

Good for The Originals telling Vince to kiss THEIR asses; if Heyman isn't there to do it, someone's gotta step up.

I think Wrestling Observer got their wires crossed again. I've heard there's a lot of heat on Sabu, but I've not heard of Sandman being anything but the model employee, if WWE gets rid of him, I think it will be a shame as although he's not a spectacular worker, he's well liked by the fans and if he's being well behaved in the back, why not keep him around? I wouldn't trust Dave Meltzer these days kids.

DynomiteKid, stop double and triple posting in this topic, do not respond to yourself either. Damn, that sucks. The Undertaker's been one of my favorites since I started watching wrestling. He might be getting on in years, and I can make a sandwich during his intro...a good sandwich, mind you...but he's still one of the best in the business and puts on a hell of a show. Assuming he does return to compete, I'm sure he'll be as widely-demanded as always.

I just hope Batista doesn't end up feuding with the returning Mark Henry...I really, REALLY hope not.
