Well they pretty much avoided the Taker situation until next week. not sure if a cage match is the best way to do this but whatever.

Best match of the night had to go to the Hardy/Kennedy match.

What Do Yall Think About The Matt Hardy Vs Ken Kenndy Yesterday.I Think It Was One Of Smackdowns Best Match's For This Period Of 2007.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2007-05-06 00:03:13

Like I said earlier, the Hardy/Kennedy match was the best of the night. Ir was good to see Matt get a big win too.
from www.wrestlezone.com
It was recently reported that Vince McMahon has decided to give Chris Masters another push even though they hadn’t have been successful in the past.

At the RAW show in Johnston City, TN last night, Chris Masters cut a promo before being involved in a match against the new Intercontinental Champion, Santino Marella. Prior to losing the match, he stated how he is sick of hearing about Marella winning the title.

It hasn't been confirmed from any reliable sources yet, but it looks as if Masters could be feuding with Marella which could end up with Masters winning the IC Title.

If WWE is smart here, I think they'll just use Masters as a big ol' job guy for Marella, Masters has proven useless for them, and Marella is a fresh character coming off a strong debut, WWE should just take the big Masters and book this like with his size and strength Marella is an underdog upsetting him or something all the time. Masters is never gonna draw a dime.

Masters could be a solid part of the undercard butyeah I agreee that he should be used to put over the new guy. Especially since the average fan has no idea who he is.

Partial Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

The future of Rob Van Dam in WWE is very much up in the air. Apparently, Van Dam rejected WWE’s latest contract offer. I have heard RVD is open to the idea of re-signing with WWE, but would like to receive his down-side guarantee while taking a break from the ring, which of course, hasn’t been agreed to by WWE. There are various reports regarding the date when RVD’s current contract actually expires. I don’t have this 100% confirmed, but multiple sources have told me his current WWE contract expires in June or July.

Thats kinda why I think Vince is going to job RVD like crazy just to get even with him not signing. I doubt RVD will win here. Even if he does it will probably be via DQ so he won't get the title, especially since Lashly will be getting a re-match. I just want Vince off TV. He is getting on my nerves.

Triple Post FTL!!! Like I said, if RVD wins the title he'll probably re-sign, if he jobs to Vince cleanly, then he's gone.

THe best way to do this is to have Lashley help Rob win the match (and the title) this way the Bobby/Vince feud can continue and RVD can defend his title against the rest of the ECW roster... I doubt this will happen, but it would probably be the best case scenario.

A Backlash re-match for the ECW title. Lashly had better win.

Heh I wonder if Kennedy is going to keep up showing up on each show for however long he is going to hold onto that contract.

Seems the Iron Shiek and the ultimate Warrior had some sort of scuffle over the weekend. Guess some people never grow up.

Kennedy is apparently injured. Its a triceps injury which explains why it was taped during his match and why he lost said match.... My guess? Edge cashes it in at SD and becomes the World Heavyweight Champ. He also helps bolster the roster a bit.

With that said, I'd rather see Edge as WHC instead of someone like Batistaberg or Mark Henry.

I hear the triceps was torn right off the bone, 5 to 7 months to heal. I really love Mr. Kennedy's character and work, so I really hope he gets better soon and comes back at 100%. It's been a horrible month for SD!

Guess I spoke too soon huh? My guess is that maybe Edge will cash it in right after the Kahli/Cena match. Lets say Cena wins but is beaten up real bad, just like the elimination chamber, and Edge comes down to take advantage. Or he shows up at SD on Friday and goes after whoever won the cage match.

Moving to SD would make the most sense. If he cashes in at JD it would probably lead to another Cena/Edge feud and its too soon to start that up again. SD needs help right now with Taker and Kennedy injured so its a perfect situation for Edge to jump ship and win the WHC.... If that does happen, it shows you just how little faith Vince has in Batista to carry the blue brand.

I don't think it's even that, it's also Batista's bad attitude and injury proneness that is probably making Vince rethink the idea of making Batista a top guy. Plus, Batista is in his early 40's, how much longer does he really have?

WWE United States champion Chris Benoit vs. MVP in a Best of Three Falls encounter has been added to the WWE Judgment Day PPV.

That'll be the match of the night, and it might end up being the WWE match of the year.

SD SPOILER!!!... Source: WWE.COM

PITTSBURGH—The Rated-R Superstar cashed in his newly acquired Money in the Bank title opportunity tonight and knocked the sports-entertainment world off its axis by becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion. Following a beastly, relentless attack from a returning Mark Henry, Edge picked the bones of a bloodied Undertaker to win the first World Heavyweight Championship of his career.

With Edge’s nefarious, well-calculated triumph taking place at the close of Undertaker and Batista’s tumultuous caged war, the Steel City became the “Steal City” tonight.

Though the night ended with an R-rated celebration, it was originally a night where the fate of the World Heavyweight Championship was to be decided within the merciless walls of a 15-foot high steel cage. For what seemed like an eternity of brutality, Undertaker and Batista took one another to their physical limits, as both warriors nearly exploded through the fortified steel.

Beaten and barely able to stand, the challenger and the champion ultimately managed to somehow escape the cage at the exact same moment, ending the contest in a draw. Thus, the epic, four-month rivalry between The Phenom and The Animal – two of the most dominant competitors in SmackDown history – culminated with controversy and indecision, much similar to their fierce Last Man Standing Match at Backlash.

Moments after Batista and The Deadman gave every last ounce of themselves in pursuit of the title, the unexpected sound of the World’s Strongest Man’s theme music rung throughout the Mellon Arena. At the end of one of the most savage Steel Cage Match in history, Henry nearly maimed The Phenom and left him a mess in the center of the ring. Only then, with the fallen gladiator ravaged, the Rated-R Superstar would come to claim his championship opportunity.

Just 24 hours after shrewdly coaxing Mr. Kennedy into defending the Money in the Bank opportunity and seizing it on Raw, Edge defected to SmackDown at the most opportune moment. One spear and three counts of the referee’s hand later, it was New Year’s Revolution 2006 all over again. Yet again, Edge cashed in the Money in the Bank guarantee for a title match any time, any place, anywhere – this time for the World Heavyweight Championship. As an opportunistic Edge stood as the newly crowned bearer of SmackDown’s richest prize, the very landscape of sports-entertainment morphed to become Rated-R.

See this chaotic confrontation between The Animal and The Deadman as well as the new champion’s vile, heinous master plan realized by tuning in Friday night, only on The CW Network.

I agree. Those two have proven that can put on one hell of a match so it will be good to see them go at it like this. I think MVP might walk away the champ this time.

The cena match didn't finish. Kahli walked to the ring while Cena had his match and then kahli took the title and walked out. Cena tried to get his title back but kahli smacked him in the face with it. Kahli is so boring... I hope Cena kicks the crap out of Kahli. I don't want to see a guy who can't wrestle as the champion.

WWE usually likes to bitch spoilers harm SD! and yet they've gone out of their way to make sure everybody knows the outcome of the title match on SD!. I guess WWE is banking on the "surprise" nature of the finish (although I think once people saw the MITB change hands they knew what was going to happen) to get people to tune in. I think this was the best call for all involved and the change on SD! is the best for the principle performer involved in the situation. He was definitely losing his direction on RAW and now he will be the focal point of SD! and have a high profile feud to begin to make his summer sizzle. From tragedy comes triumph.

With Taker and Kennedy out of it they needed the star power back on SD. Edge is a good choice, and might get him a chance to not be overshadowed by the overpushed Cena.

Who'd have thought they could have turned Kennedy's injury into a good thing?
I didn't like Edge on Raw. Raw just seems too stale for me now, so hopefully I can get back into him again on a good show :)
Do you think Kennedy will be in the title picture when he returns?

Probably. The way it was set-up (With Kennedy looking like the brave face) he'll probably return as a face, feud with Edge and continue with his push. And now we also have the potential of seeing an Edge/Taker feud which if everythng falls into place, could happen around WM time. Edge has never been pinned at WM and Taker has never lost at WM.... I just came up with a feud in a matter of seconds, take that WWE creative!

This is wonderful...

According to WWE.com: After an extensive MRI at the Birmingham, Ala. offices of Dr. James Andrews, WWE's Dr. Ferdinand Rios now reports that the SmackDown Superstar's triceps tendon "was not torn from the bone as originally reported and will not require surgery."

Kennedy still has bad swelling and with the severity of Kennedy's hematoma, he is still looking to be out for 6-8 weeks.

So in other words, the WWE jumped the gun and took the MITB from Kennedy without knowing for certain how much time he was going to miss.... In all likelihood he'll feud with Edge upon his return.

My name is pepeatumi... But you already knew that!

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2007-05-10 00:53:05

It's a shame WWE took his shot away, but to my mind Kennedy didn't need the long build to his title oppurtunity anyway, it's given us a great WHC to replace Taker on SD! and we'll see if Mr. Kennedy can be a well rounded performer. I'm glad he's coming back soon as WWE can always use more top tier talents as they try and figure out where they want to be by SS and onwards.
