That's what I'm hoping for. Because why turn a face the fans care about unless it's because you're trying to solve the problem of having a face champion, and a face on the rise that you want to program him with, so you turn the rising face heel so he can go after the face champion.

That at least makes some sense. I hope Punk is the one to end Lashly's title run. It would be awesome to see Punk as champ.

I think there was talk about moving Benoit to Raw, but it changed and thats why he still has the US title. The program with MVP is a pretty decent fued in my mind so it works anyway.

I think Mark Henry is slated to fued with Kane when he comes back. I'm not looking forward to that at all.

I like MVP. His finisher might be a bit stale, seeing as they've given it to two other newcomers when they couldn't think of a better move (Randy Orton and Carlito), but I still like him.

I think Mark Henry is slated to fued with Kane when he comes back. I'm not looking forward to that at all.

It could be worse. At least Kane is close to being in Henry's weight range. It has more potential than Mysterio and Henry. I don't see how people with such big weight differences can really work together very well at all.

Unfortnately, I see Cena retaining for 1234567th time at Backlash. HBK tapped out at WM, and I definately do not see him suddenly winning there. Edge was Cena's personal slut for the whole 2006. Plus, if Edge wins, we will be forced to see Edge vs Cena for 123456789th time, so Edge will not win either. As for Orton, he has a slim chance of winning, but he is just not BOOKED strong enough as the next WWE champion. As a matter of fact, he has been a jobber to the stars since late 2004. Since I am an Orton mark, I will give him 1 % of chance winning it at Backlash. (Cena 99%) We will probably have to wait until HHH comes back before seeing a potential title change.

I just don't see moving Benoit to RAW, I know it's gonna sound biased, but if you send Benoit anywhere, send him to ECW. They could use Benoit's ability to make everybody look good to have him help some of their green workers (Lashley and Cor Von) get better and maybe generate interest in that show.

I think Mark Henry is slated to fued with Kane when he comes back. I'm not looking forward to that at all.

Me either, it's gonna be slow, plodding, and sloppy as shit. Kane really deserves better at this point, because you know he's gonna be fed to Henry here.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Course we shouldn't get too worried. Mark Henry usually lasts for only a few months before he gets hurt again. He's almost at a Nash level here.

I'm looking forward to SD tonight. I'm hoping we get to see London and Kendrick in a match. They seem to have the ability to have a good match with nearly everyone they go at it with.

I have a feeling that Deuce and Domino will capture the gold tonight. L&K have been on the top for nearly a year ahd it is about the time for a change.

I for some reason think that London and Kendrick will be holding the gold for a good 2 years, I almost think they might hold it for EVER!!! Hey they are the only good thing to watch on Friday nights.
Taker=champion=yawn
Chris Benoit=United States Champ=same old
London and Kendrick= Tag Team= Uber Awesomezorz
Cruiserweight= ah who cares.

I think Deuce and Domino are still flavor of the month challengers to L & K, I think WWE should really keep the belts on them awhile longer as fans really enjoy those guys, really build them up, build the Hardyz up, and then have like an exhibition type bout between the two teams at next year's Mania, or some future PPV. There's more money in that then ending the historic reign of L & K, plus, I'd like to see those guys get some attention and push before that ends. They're reign is as long as it is because they just don't really care about them or they're belts.

SD was great tonight, the Benoit/MVP match was awesome. London and Kendrick had a strong showing as well.

The main event was ok, but I'm getting sick of them changing the matches they advertise for a week at the show. Sure that match probably wouldn't have been that good but still I really hate the bait and switch.

WOW.... That looks awesome. Any idea when its coming out?

I have to admit after watching MVP's two matches with Benoit (and watching some of his pre-WWE stuff) I've become a fan of MVP. I'm still not digging the clothes, but he's proving he can get it done in the ring... Then again, he is wrestling Benoit so a good to great matches are to be expected. I guess it makes sense that MVP is feuding with Chris, when Porter wretled in the Indies his signature move was the German Suplex trio and his finisher.... The Crippler Crossface which he called the TTB, Tribute to Benoit.

Though I have yet to see MVP's Springboard SSP.

Partially, but think about it.
When helms was defending his title for a year, he defended it only against 2 people, and lost to the 3rd.

London and Kendrick have went against well over 10 opponents or 5 teams, and tonight they really exelled, being even a better match than the M.P.V. vs Benoit match.

I'm looking forward to see how the fanis in Italy are and how they react. It's always fun to see Raw and SD being boradcasted from another country. Like the UK and Japan are great places for it I think.

Source: puroresufan.com.

Tokyo Sports reports that New Japan dojo graduate, Chris Benoit, may make a special appearance soon, possibly challenging Yuji Nagata for the IWGP Heavyweight Title. The WWE superstar has made it clear that he would like to return to his "second home" for one of the 35th anniversary shows, and Johnny Ace (John Laurinaitis) is apparently positive towards letting it happen. This news comes at the same time as Antonio Inoki's IGF (Inoki Genome Federation) hinting that it will run Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle on it's debut show for Lesnar's "IWGP Heavyweight Title". The New Japan side is refusing to be drawn into a war of words with IGF at this point, though.

I don't remember any commercials or anything for it, but the new wwe cd is out. I looked at it on itunes and I honestly don't see any songs truly worth buying the cd itself for. I saw one for Helms and was tempted to buy it, but the preview of it sounds nothing like the theme I am used to. Which is this one right here: http://gregoryhelmstitantron.ytmnd.com/

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2007-04-15 00:40:06

I don't think Taker will lose at Backlash, but dominating probably isn't in the cards either. WWE still needs Batista to look strong so I expect him to go toe to toe for most of that match.

I've heard the plan is for Taker to be in the title picture for awhile, maybe 6 months or so, whether that means he reigns for the entire time, reigns for a little while, drops it, then gets it back...who knows? I think WWE should at least consider having Batista somehow screw Taker here and then build to a rematch with Taker chasing Batista down for a month or two. I don't think they're making the hardcores fall in love with this feud, but this could be good box office with the casuals.

I think having Taker with the belt is good enough for a few of the hardcore fans. Who else on the SD roster do you think could have a shot at Taker once the Batista fued is done? If Taker hold onto the belt for a long time then maybe Booker after he recovers from injury. And of course there is alwasy Mr. Money in the Bank.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan still wrestles? Hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! or was that Rick Flair. no wait Duggan goes hooooooooooooooo, (Hoe!), and Fiair goes wooooo! Man I love those old school wrestlers. The Million Dollar man with his own belt.

But my favorite wrestler Big Boss man, aka Big Bubba died in 2005. I liked him because he had this tackle choak slam move.

Now the Warrior. There was a very wacky one!

Anyhow, I live in Calgary. and moved here in 1997. The news papers printed about the death of Owen, I remember when I moved here, it was during the Owen-Bret family fued (part of the story line), so I make a prank phone call to Stu Heart. and said "I'm Owen..... bye!" ha ha ha. (this was before he died).

The other Heart Brothers also came in to teach some wrestling (real wrestling), moves to my little brother's Gym class.

I just watched Lockdown and all in all it was a good PPV... Here are the quick results.

VKM def Serotonin
Chris Sabin retains the X-Division title in the Xscape match
Robert Roode def Petey WIlliams
Gail Kim def Jackie Moore
Senshi def Austin Starr
James Storm def Chris Harris
Christopher Daniels def Jerry Lynn
Tean 3D def LAX to win the tag titles
Team Angle def Team Cage in the Lethal Lockdown match... Sting got the pin so he'll challenge Christian at Sacrifice for the NWA/TNA heavyweight title.

And let me add this.... Scott Steiner pulled off a motherfuckin Frankensteiner during the match.

So Team 3D finally got those tag belts. That makes for a complete set, with them having won all other major tag titles.

Raw will be coming from Italy tonight.

Boris Alexiev... He wrestled in OVW alongside the DOuble Double E guy and he also played a Russian down there. From what I've seen he looks to be pretty good in the ring, lots of suplexes, stiff kicks and submission holds.

Terrible RAW overall with nothing interesting to be honest... No one cares about Lashley and no one cares about The Condemned, we don't need to waste 20 minutes watching the same clips. For all the hate Impact gets for its lack of wrestling, I think its about time that RAW started getting the same treatment.

And let me add this, once again the IC title is made to look like crap. Granted, we know it wasn't a random fan, that it was a trained wrestler... But to the casual fan, some random guy just won the IC title. Its just that easy. Talk about ruining what little credibility the title had left.

I have to agree with ya here. Raw just didn't have enough kick to it. I think the only glimmers of good was the Flair/Carlito tag match and Jeff Hardy's match. The fans were really into the whole show though, it was cool to hear them use those football chants. It was also funny that they were solidly against Cena and booed like no tomorrow.
