So I guess for WWE this week is nothing but "Best of 2006" stuff. So TNA needs to capitalize on this and put on a really good show.

Usually I don't post matches, but this one was too ool to ignore..

Homicide vs CM Punk in a Street Fight. It starts in the ring and ends up in a... Strip Club? This is from Full Impact Pro.

Also, cheap plug... I uploaded this match myself along with some others, so feel free to watch them.

I found this short read on wikipedia, and I think y'all would get a kick out of it.

It's a short article about a Stable in WCW called The "Misfts in Actions", Some of whose members included Chavo Guerrero, King Booker, and Hugh Morrus (a former United States Champion), That was created by Vince Russo because he thought that all the members were too lazy to get over by themselves.

I think it stands as a Testiment to How stupid Russo is.

One's a trainer, one was World champ until a month ago. and the other has been wrestling for the US title. Yup, Russo's stupid allright.

I have some news on Snitsky.

Writer Dave Lagana wants Gene Snitsky to be moved over from RAW to WWECW. In recent producer meetings, Arn Anderson and Finlay have been pushing for Snitsky to get a bigger role in the company. However, the problem is that it would make WWECW look more and more like a place for RAW and SmackDown rejects. Snitsky has appeared sparingly on RAW since Goldust's release back in June.

I have to agree that if they are going to move Snitsky, they need to push him on RAW a little first and try and make him matter again. WWECW is down to it's baseline audience now, and without Paul Heyman, there's a definite feeling that it's the third and lowest priority brand at the moment. If they send Snitsky over there as he is currently perceived, they absolutely reinforce that message in people's minds and makes them even less likely to watch the show.

LordKooler's TNA iMPACT! review
1.Chris Sabin & James Storm vs. Petey Williams & Christopher Daniels
James Storm still has the look that he had in America's Most Wanted. But the back of his coat now says, "American Cowboy" and has a new theme song. Chris Sabin & James Storm won at the end. Jerry Lynn tried to break up a fight between Daniels & Sabin after the match but attacks both of them since he couldn't break up the fight.
2.Dudley Boyz Promo
Bubba Ray says that he's looked around and says that there doesn't seem to be any tag teams left. Shane Douglas is done with the Naturals, And the Voodoo Kin Morons (My new name for the Voodoo Kin Mafia) are too busy "feuding" with Triple H, Shawn Michaels & Vince McMahon. Then Bubba says that's there's only one tag team left and they're... LAX. Spike Dudley comes out and asks them where they were last week when he got beat up by LAX. Ray said that when they left for their vacation, They told Spike to behave and stay out of trouble, and instead he got himself involved in a feud with Abyss & Raven. I really don't want to talk about the rest of this segment but near the end, LAX came out and brawled with The Dudleyz and there was this cool spot where the Dudleyz superbombed Spike on Homicide through a table!
3.Paparazzi Championship Series Segment
I love the Paparazzi Productions segments. Kevin Nash is doing a great job with Character Development in the X Division. This week in the PCS, The competitors do the limbo! Nash wants Jay Lethal to do it for all their fellow black men, and Alex Shelley gives him some soul power. Shelley goes under okay, But Low Ki jumps over the pole and gets points because the PCS is working under Bob Backlund rules. Shelley & Lethal do the Backlund Bob-Off and Shelley falls. Lethal currently leads with 14 points.
4.Booby Roode vs. Lance Hoyt (w/Ron Killings)
Bobby Roode won at the end.
5.Nightstick on a Pole Match: Abyss vs. Christian vs. Sting
The Object on a pole match is usually Vince Russo's favorite type of match. Sting won by getting the Nightstick off the pole and attacks Christian with it.
6.Jim Cornette Segment
Jim Cornette comes out and announces a Three-Way Elimination Match between Abyss, Sting & Christian for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at Final Resolution. Then Mike Tenay announces the nominees for Mr. TNA 2006. And the nominees are... AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett, Kurt Angle, Sting & Samoa Joe. The winner is.... Samoa Joe! Samoa Joe has been named Mr. TNA 2006! Samoa Joe talks about how happy he his until Kurt Angle comes out with a woman. Kurt Angle says that if Joe doesn't give him his rematch, He is going to break the Woman's ankle! Joe calls him a pussy for going after a woman while Joe is in the ring. At the end of the segment. Joe gives Angle his rematch. Then iMPACT ends showing the highlights of all the PPVs that happened in 2006 and they also show highlights of the November Prime Time special.

Awesome match. I have one problem with it though: You kept me up till 2 in the morning because I wanted to finish the whole match :D
Evans' springboard moonsault off of Jimmy Rave was awesome (and his double flip moonsault and senton). It's a shame he got eliminated quite quickly, I would've liked to see more of him.

At 12/28/06 11:58 PM, aviewaskewed wrote: I have to agree that if they are going to move Snitsky, they need to push him on RAW a little first and try and make him matter again.

They could have some interpromotional matches between Raw and ECW, and have him betray his own brand and go over. That could make him look like a player.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-12-29 12:27:08

I saw a report that said Vince feels that ECW is not doing as well because there is a lack of humor. So there is a good chance things are going to be getting weird.

Snitski has been on Heat for a long time, so why would we care if he went to ECW? They would need him to do something noteable for it to matter any.

I have some TNA news from PWInsider.com and Gerweck.net

- TNA remains optimistic that a deal will be reached soon with SpikeTV to secure them a two hour timeslot. SpikeTV remains very happy with TNA and wants to increase their relationship with them, it's just a matter of working out the logistics and finances. Spike is also interested in airing more TNA specials and to continue airing the PPV preview shows.

- TNA plans to start including more extras on their PPV DVDs. One possibility is exclusive post-match interviews.

- That was Samoa Joe's real life girlfriend that was used in the angle on TNA Impact last night.

- Here is the updated card for TNA Final Resolution 2007.

*Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe in a 30 Minute Iron Man Match,

*AJ Styles vs. Rhino in a Last Man Standing Match,

*Sting vs. Abyss vs. Christian in a Three-Way Dance (Three-Way Elimination Match) for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

--Apparently WWE used Brad Armstrong on WWECW television as a jab at VKM, since Armstrong and BG James are brothers.

- There are no plans to drop the VKM angle or move it in another direction.

- TNA continues to push talent to sign contracts that allows the company to handle a talent's independent bookings. Apparently TNA has decided not to book talent for house shows or use them on television if they decide against signing the new contract.

- Ring announcer Dave Penzer is considered an "elitist" to many within TNA. Penzer doesn't hang around with the boys, and doesn't have the best rapport with talent.

Spoiler about Teddy Long's announcement, do not read unless you want to be spoiled.
From next week until the week before RR, there will be one "beat the clock" match every Friday on SD. The person who sets the least amout of time will receive a chance going for the WHC at RR against Batista. The current plan is to have Kane vs Batista at RR which will set up a Taker vs Batista feud at WM.

WTFH!!!!
news on the ass cartoon on WWE.com
Just when I think We’ve heard the best story ever, something tops it. The creators of the animated series Assy McGee have filed suit against WWE over the Vince McMahon’s Ass cartoon which debuted recently on WWE.com.

The way the story goes, Michael Cole, who runs WWE.com, asked one of his staffers to come up with a creative idea that the boss would like. Apparently this guy decided to just rip off Assy McGee, which is a sitcom that airs during Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network about a police offer who is — surprise, surprise — a walking ass with a gun. Worse, a few of the storylines from Mr. McMahon’s Ass were blatantly stolen from Assy McGee. Even more humiliating for Vince is that Cartoon Network is owned by TURNER BROADCASTING, his old rival, and they can’t even really take this to court since they’ve got no defense whatsoever. Vince loved the Vince McMahon’s Ass cartoon, thinking it was the best thing in the world that there was a CARTOON about HIS ASS, and when this all came down shortly before Christmas, Vince blew a gasket. Cole, who had hired a separate flash animator to produce the cartoon full-time and was also working on t-shirts (seriously), claimed he’d never even heard of Assy McGee. This hardly flew, and it appears WWE will have to pay for the mistake in cash to Turner. Cole is said to be in serious trouble and there is a chance he’ll be fired as head of WWE.com (though we’re told his Smackdown announcing gig is not in jeopardy)."

So? I hate when bullshit politics has such an impact on the industry like this. Wrestling is not about getting along: It's about Kicking ass and not bothering to take names. It's about selling tickets and getting people to order pay-per-veiws. This isn't school, Ladies. You're Wrestlers. Settle your problems with your fists; it's what you get paid for.

I'm not all that surprised that the ass cartoon was a ripoff of the Adult swim cartoon, but I thought they could have gotten away with it since it was a real person WWE was using. It's not like they had it fighing crime or anything so it's not exactly the same. Still Cole can't take all the blame, but if he does lose his postion I'll feel sorry for the guy.

Yeah, cause it couldn't be the fact that it's just a shitty version of RAW and SD! and that it totally dosen't resemble the product that revolutionized the business throughout the 90's. Vince is so so fucking stupid and insolated at this point...I pray every day somebody just kicks the ever lovin' shit out of him in product quality so I can start giving a shit about what's happening in the business again.

I would like to once again remind the posters in this topic that if I see any links to WWE footage on a site that is NOT WWE.com, you're post will be immediately deleted without question or notification. WWE aggressively pursues unauthorized distribution of their copyrighted footage, and we don't want to run the risk of NG getting in trouble or getting letters from WWE legal, no matter how slim a chance it is that this will happen. Repeated failure to comply with this policy will result in reluctant bannage. Let's all try and remember this simple policy so that I don't have to get anyone here pissed at me.

As far as Penzer, I can see what Red is saying about this not being high school, and that sometimes wrestlers put way too much emphasis on trivial things, but at the same token nobody likes a dick at work. If Penzer is just someone who likes to keep to himself, fine, if he's being rude to people and deliberately staying away and irritating them, then I think everybody their has a right to be ruffled and angry at the guy. The whole "settling it with their fists" thing is totally juvenile and counter productive, the wrestling business is full of too many idiot man-children as it is, and any company that wants to be seen as professional can not, and should not, tolerate their performers fighting each other for real in the back.

From wrestlezone:
Regarding the WWE future of Joey Mercury, he is scheduled to be a full-time "jobber to the stars" singles wrestler on SmackDown upon his return, which is scheduled for February. He appeared to have lost his push during the Heyman/Lagana transition. Furthermore, Mercury was actually on the verge of being released from the company, but Heyman wanted to push him in ECW. Head ECW writer Dave Lagana isn't too interested in using him, so he let SmackDown have him. Also, Lagana wants Gene Snitsky in the spot Joey Mercury was supposed to have in ECW.

To which I reply... WTF?! They want a guy who was in the best match in the ECW ppv, and a guy who has far more exposure than Snitsky to become a jobber? He doesn't deserve that. I hope this info is wrong.
