- TNA's Lockdown PPV will likely be the next one to run on the road, with Chicago and St. Louis being the favorites. Everyone in TNA viewed Bound for Glory in Detroit as a tremendous success, so the plan is to run more PPVs in other cities in 2007.
They'd be stupid not to, the company should do more limited touring into other markets as there are definitely fans out there that will go, the Florida shows aren't making them money because people can get tickets to TNA as part of the Universal Studios tour. Having some shows where the building isn't papered by default will be a great way for the company to begin to become profitable and expand, now they just need to really address the issues with their product...
- Samoa Joe will be out until the Final Resolution PPV due to the MCL ligament sprain he suffered on Impact this week. He will continue to appear for TNA and ROH until then.
Samoa Joe is a fucking warrior, he's also dealing with continuing problems with his sciatic nerve as well. The man just goes balls out every time, and you gotta respect that, but you also have to wonder how long he'll be able to do that before it retires him.
- TNA continues to claim that they have one million dollars set aside for use in the VKM One Million Dollar Challenge.
I keep hearing the same thing, it's already been written off from the budget, when WWE dosen't accept, TNA should just give the money to charity and try and use that to prove their better then WWE.
- TNA wants to run a AJ Pierzynski & Dale Torborg vs. David Eckstein & Lance Hoyt match at a show next year, preferably one in St. Louis. The match could end up taking place at Lockdown, which as reported above, could end up in Chicago or St. Louis.
I would NOT put these guys in a cage, they also have to be careful about these guys getting hurt because of their baseball contracts. Not to mention cages invite too much blood and violence, I say have Eckstein and Pierzynski train and learn how to be serviceable, but use Torborg and Hoyt as the mules of the match, and make it a regular match without real risk of injury or chance of building up unreal expectations in some people.
I'd like to ask you guys a question, Which city will TNA Lockdown 2007 take place in? Chicago? or St. Louis?
It depends on what they book, and where makes the most sense with the show they've got. Chicago could probably draw them a bigger gate then St. Louis though I think because Chicago is bigger, right?
