I can't say O'm surprised about Angle, he's trying to look like the good guy in this situation, I guess he just can't accept that being released was for his own good.
I read this article a couple of days ago and it made some good points. When angle debuted he had his three I's (in kayfabe anyways) but reality he only had intensity, and the other two were replaced by idiocy and illness.
Angle talked about integrity, but he violated that when he decided to be outspoken about his matches and storyline and he sure as hell wasn't intelligent, because his drive to succeed to be the best made him forget about one major thing... taking care of himself.
His wife left him, and instead of taking some time off he chose to keep on wrestling, he a badly injured neck (since the olympics in 96) and instead of getting neck surgery (and probably missing 9 to 12 months) he had a different surgery which only made him miss about two or three months, even though it would cost him more in the long run.
His stubbornness drove him to greatness, unfortunately it was also the same thing that knocked him off of the top of the mountain, its a sad state of affairs but if Angle had only done things differently he wouldn't be out of a job.
It sucks because a lot of us, got to see Angle rise up first as an olympic gold medalist, and then as a pro wrestler, only to see him fall into an abyss in a matter of months.
Here's hoping Angle can keep himself calm for a couple of months, and when, not if he comes back he'll reach the top of the mountain once again.
