But Khali's bigger than just about everybody.

Oh, it seems I was premature to say anything about the Undertaker; seems like he stayed away just to get Khali's ego a little bigger than his size. LET THE MIND GAMES BEGIN!!!

Khali Has the sheer Size advantage, but all you gotta do is knock his huge ass down, not that hard. ANd he has only fought little people (excluding The Undertaker at Vengance, which i was at) So Umaga would probally win. Divari and whats-his-face fighting would be good as well.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-07-09 23:38:05

I would have to go with Jamal... er..Umanga for that match.

Davari vs Estrada.. hmm that could be watchable, at least we know Davari can wrestle.

So the Bashams are in ECW huh? Well it could work, but it would take a lot of effort from their part for the ECW crowd to accept them into the fold.

The Bashams never seemed like totally horrible workers to me, besides, most of the heat getters right now seem to be: Test, Mike Knox, and Big Show. Though I see people eventually warming up to Show.

Thats too bad about Gangrel. He had the coolest enterence, and not a bad worker at all.

It has also been rumored that Carlito is about to join the DX, so that they will have four members against the SS. Considering that the DX is the hottest draw of RAW right now, they will probably destroy the SS again at Summer Slam. PS: did anyone else find RO's latest promo about dating Brook Hogan a bit out of the limit? He really should not run his mouth like he is doing now if he wants a championship push.

DX should only get more members if they are going to become a dominant stable and take all the titles and basically become the show.
i hope this doesnt happen because HHH and HBK running around having fun is far more amusing then it getting serious with title belts.
i dont think anyone in the WWE could pull it off at the moment except for those two.
more members would be the start of the end for DX.

road dogg/X-Pac are sooo much better then any current WWE superstar, they cant be replaced.

So a big show/fair fued is in the works huh? That will be interesting to say the least.

The good news for me is that the place I am staying at has Sci-fi so it is a good chance that I can finally see ECW. Yay!

Feud? Oh Outlaw...are you REALLY that naive? I thought better of you my friend. This bout is a one off that looks great on paper...mind you I say ON PAPER because it could do a lot for Show and the ECW title's credibility to have a clean win over Ric Flair, but I don't see that happening. I see Mic Foley running out and costing Flair the belt as a way to help further their feud. I'd love to be wrong since I think Flair doing a clean job is best for ECW, and a post-match beatdown by Foley can help their feud...but I don't think that's what we're going to get.

Cool, hopefully the show will be worth it.

There are rumors saying that Hogan will go over Orton at Summer Slam. If it happens, it will be the biggest piece of turd of the wresting history. Not because I like RKO, a 52 years old going over a main eventer who is supposed to win the title, are you kidding? Hogan even should not go over HBK last year. HBK beat him up for 20 minutes, and a leg drop from Hogan, the match was over. Hogan has not showed up in months and he does not need the useless push. All he needs to do is hidding his ego inside and stop going over any highcarders. I know that he hasthe right to demand the creative team, but let me hope that Vince will not allow this old fuck to run his ears. >:(

No I'm not really that naive, just sarcastic as hell. I kinda had the same idea about it, but hey, if flair is willing to help put ECW over that would be awesome. Having the ECW champ beat a legend like flair clean would do wonders for them.

Cool, hopefully the show will be worth it.

I might, but there is no guarantee to that. I watched last year, and now when I think about it, it really kind of sucked. The only really good match was Rey and Eddie in that ladder match. The stipulation was gay, but the match was great.

But, Duke is right. HBK kicked Hogan's ass for a good amount of time and then Hogan legdrops him to end the contest. That was gay. Although at the time it was pretty cool, now I'm like, 'I feel like an idiot for watching this. WWE has once more insulted my intelligence.'

As for last night on RAW, did anyone watch that? I forgot to watch it because I was too caught up in God of War. Could someone tell me what happened in general? Thanks. I dont wanna get too off subject for my reason of not watching, so I'll leave it at that.

Man, ECW was,...ok, it was mediocre tonight. The highlight was the main event, as usual. Test was crap. Dreamer should've beat his ass to a pulp.

Btw, what is up with WWE rules in ECW? That makes it rather stupid. And the Sabu match really short.

Another thing, so that's CM Punk? It's just I never seen him before, so I was like "who the hell are you?" Then he says, "My name, is CM Punk." That's when I'm like, "I wanna see this guy wrestle!"

Ok, other than that, the main event, and Sandman caning Mike Knox, the show was kinda crap. But, I'll still watch ECW, dont get me wrong. The show just needs a few changes and it'll get better.

ECW was pretty good today..

Dreamer got some offense in against Test and he didn't lose cleanly so it wasn't as bad as expected.

Finally the writersd ecide to put 2 and 2 together.. Sandman beats guy with dumb gimmicks and when Knox interrupts the Kelly/Candice, Sandman canes Knox's ass. This could be good if they want Knox to gain some credibility, let him feud with an ECW original in Sandman.

Sabu-Credible... Sabu needs to be in extreme rules matches I mean he's going to put someone through a table anyway so might as well make it legal.

CM Punk cut another promo... Forget the promos everyone (Tazz included) wants to see the guy wrestle so he should wrestle he's going to by far ECW's biggest star and it won't be long until he's carrying ECW on his back.

Shannon Moore is also coming to ECW.. great, they could use some more young guys.. a Punk-Moore feud down the line makes sense, so that probably won't happen.

And for the main event.. Better than expected Flair did his thing in his first ever ECW match, obviously no one expected Flair to win but I was dissapointed because I was hoping Foley would show up, especially after Barbie was used.

Again it was pretty good. Could it have been better? Yes.. but this was pretty much a different show than the was originally planned because of the whole RVD thing.

Oh yeah.. ECW needs more than onw hour, with Knox, Test, Punk, Moore and Vampire Dude, we're seeing more and more new wrestlers eventually one hour won't be enough to use all these guys plus all the other ECW veterans.

My name is pepeatumi... But you already knew that!

I missed the first bits of ECW tonight, so I'll just comment on the things I DID see, with some brief thoughts on what I read about:

--Paul Heyman's promo sounded bizarre. It's almost like WWE dosen't totally want to turn him here, or maybe it's just supposed to be that his mind has finally snapped. I didn't see it, so I can't really comment further then that, Paul E. is a great promo man though, and I'm interested to see where his character goes now.

--Test over Dreamer? Bah, a learn to live with it move, but at least Test cheated so Tommy didn't job clean. I've already resigned myself to the idea that Tommy will probably be a put over man for the new ECW.

--Kelly and Candice, meh, I will give WWE SOME credit though here. If they're going to insist on being repetitive (Kelly/Knox, Sandman caning somebody) it is good that they try and COMBINE the repetitive stuff so it eats up less air time. I'd really like for this to se up a match next week...just so Sandman can actually fucking WRESTLE for once.

--Sabu vs. Credible was good while it lasted, and I liked that Credible didn't have to job on this one, but man does having DQ finishes in ECW suck. I understand WWE dosen't want the show to become just match after match of violence, but you have to let the guys who are known for weapons use go to that place and do it. Still, it was good to see Credible protected here, and not squashed like his first week on TV.

--I liked Punk's promo, in some ways he reminds me of Steve Corino. For those who don't recall, Steve Corino was a very talented worker and former ECW champ who portrayed a gimmick in which he called himself "King of the Old School" and denounced the violent ways of ECW and tried to actually wrestle people who were hardcore (I went to a house show once where he challenged Tommy to a plain wrestling match...that lasted about five minutes, then Tommy started innovating some violence), mostly a chicken shit heel, he did get over after a bloody feud with Dusty Rhodes. Punk's gimmick seems somewhat similar, but with less of the potential chicken shit heel overtones. I'm very interested to see him work.

--I liked Balls Mahoney's promo, not so much for the content, but because WWE is FINALLY trying to do segments to get the ECW crew over! This is exactly what they need to have guys who aren't wrestling that particular night do, cut a promo, introduce their character, not stand in the background.

--Ric Flairs promo didn't work for me, you can never really say a Flair promo sucks, but he just seemed to not be sending the right message here. He spent more time ranting about Mic Foley then really putting over his title match, even saying it was a belt he never wanted, but now he magically does. Stupid, WWE, real stupid.

--The promo may have sucked, but Flair and Show had a pretty good match. Though it seems obvious the barbed wire was fake, tacks hurt, and they did go to town on each other a bit here. I was also glad that they resisted having Foley interfere. Show needed to beat Flair on his own to make himself and the ECW title seem important, and I feel like they accomplished that here. So while the promo leading into it was bad, the match itself was good. I don't want Show to be a long term champion, but he is proving a capable one a week in to me.

Hell yeah I got to see ECW! Well I caught it from the Knox/Sandman segment to the end. Glad to see that Credible didn't have to job, but it seems so... weird to have DQ in it.

The Show/Flair match was pretty damn good. Both took a beating, and Show beat Flair clean. And the thumb tacks sure help huh?

Before I toddle off to bed I'd like to offer a correction to a story previously posted in here:

The rumor about Randy Orton failing a drug test is completely FALSE. Apparently this story was started by some fool, and because he said he got it from a reliable source, other "newz" sites picked it up and ran with it. It has been shot down by reputable sites, so let this be a lesson to always get your news from people with real industry contacts.

Once again, Randy Orton is NOT in violation of the Wellness Policy, so if you don't like the idea of him feuding with Hogan, please don't use this false story as an excuse.

Stacy Keibler left wrestling to pursue a career in acting. Her WWE contract recently expired and it's highly unlikely that it will be renewed.

Apparently the EC F'N W shirt is being discontinued due to it being too crass, Vince feels, and it may scare off advertisers he thinks...oh...my...GOD!! If advertisers are willing to have their wares put up on a show where oral sex is simulated while two performers have a conversation, I think they would certainly not care about a shirt that only implies use of the word "fuck". The highest selling shirt in ECW history by the by, go get those while they last.

Sci Fi was said to enjoy the show last night, and they loved the main event. Apparently the execs liked the barbed wire and tacks, and the general ECW feel. If any SciFi execs are listening to this, I have a humble request I'd like to make: TELL VINCE TO MAKE EVERY MATCH NO DQ IF YOU REALLY LIKE THE ECW FEEL!!! Also, WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOUR ASSES WHEN ECW NEEDED A NEW TV DEAL AFTER THE DELIVERANCE CHANNEL KICKED THEM OFF??!!! HMMM??!!!

The show did a 2.4 this week, up from last week's 1.4 (which was still a pleasing number as they thought it'd be lower due to the holiday), the overrun and main event did the best numbers, and SciFi should be pleased with this. So should Vince, as a 2.4 is right in the range of what the show has been doing for the last five weeks, it shows that they can maintain the audience that is there. Now maybe being that alternative brand that was promised and not being so goddamn repetitive might grow that fan base.
