Even if the crowd expects it, they'll still pop for it, and it would be good for Rey since WWE dosen't in any way seem to buy him as champion, so if he goes up there and says that WWE fucked up his reign, and he's going somewhere where he can be taken seriously, they can redeem themselves a bit for that.

There is like, ZERO chance I think that they'll let the WWE title be thrown down, RAW is too important a priority to them, SD! they could give two shits about, it's RAW and ECW that are the priorities right now, so I can see them sacrificing the World title (which is like getting rid of the WCW title once and for all) to help get ECW over, and they'll just create a new belt for SD!

Rey Misterio throwing down the title could be a good idea and having him join ECW would be even better. Noow for some ECW news

According to reports, several ECW stars such as Sabu, The Sandman, Terry Funk Tommy Dreamer and others will be appearing on RAW and SmackDown next week to sell the second ECW One Night Stand PPV on June 11 as well as the "WWE vs. ECW Head to Head" special on June 7 on the USA Network.

In addition to this week, it is believed that a heavy ECW presence will be at the WWE Monday Night RAW taping on June 12 to help promote ECW's debut on the Sci Fi Network the following night (June 13) at 10pm Eastern/9pm Central.

It was reported on ECW.com that all contracted Raw and Smackdown wrestlers have been informed that they are free to jump to ECW if they desire. Matt Hardy, Nunzio and Super Crazy are the most likely WWE wrestlers to shift brands.

Psichosis could also jump, he's former ECW, and I can't see what he'd gain by having Crazy leave and him stay.

Nunzio I've heard for awhile is just a formality, he's going to jump (probably the official reason being Vito the crossdresser) and then team with Tony Mamaluke again (already confirmed on the ECW site as part of the brand).

I think it's in Matt Hardy's interest to either jump, or SD! really needs to push him (I think he probably needs to stay on SD! and get pushed).

Another name that might benefit from a jump to ECW would be Chris Benoit.

He's been injured as of late but it wouldn't surprise me to see him back in ECW when he returns besides who doesn't want to see another Benoit-Angle match?

If Teddy Long still has that belt from last year (which we never got to see), they could use that for the new title. JBL was supposed to receive it and become the new SmackDown! champion after Cena got drafted to RAW, but then Batista got drafted to SmackDown! (which was predictable) and they no longer needed it.

They didn't actually make a belt I'd imagine (since I recall it never being shown), the whole plan was always to switch Batista with Cena, so no belt was ever required. Not that it'd be hard to make one, just that it was not required prior to now (hey, maybe they can go back to the old eagle belt design of the WWF title, I liked that look.

okay, peeps.

I missed Smackdown this (or last?) because I was in my very first play, but I'm glad I did, cuz it seemed kinda.... dumb.

anyway, Sci-fi channel better STFU, E-C-DUB is gonna get them a lot of ratings.

That's kind of my feeling, I mean look, I get the people who are kind of pissed off and going "this is not what the network should be about", but stop and think about what ECW could do in terms of letter A, giving sci-fi some good ratings from the show. Letter B, if the show becomes among, if not the highest rated thing on Sci-Fi, it gives sci-fi the ability to really push their own programming to an audience that may not have paid attention otherwise, and they may be able to expand their viewer base. This is not like Saved By The Bell re-runs late at night on CN that I can't see drawing any new interest, this is new and viable product in a time slot that could get some attention from the demographic sci-fi (and every other network) wants.

And the fact is every channel cares only about the ratings and ECW will draw a lot of ratings because old ECW fans are going to watch even if its just to talk about how watered down it has become and people that didn't see the old ECW will realize what all the talk is about.

My question is what happens if ECW does as good or even better than Raw on the ratings?

Probably a "Steph-infection". It's happened to SD! before in the past.

This probably won't happen but if it is so, then we may be seeing the last of Kane before long. WrestleZone has this article up:

"Kane has expressed to WWE management that he is looking to retire from the ring as early as January 2007, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Kane is signed to do the sequel to "See No Evil." "

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-06-04 22:11:56

To follow up on the Kane retirement story here's another bit of news.

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Kane, 39, has expressed to WWE management that he plans on retiring soon, perhaps as early as January 2007. Kane told management that he has accomplished all he can in his career. Should Kane retire, it won't affect his See No Evil film deal as he signed a contract for a sequel to the movie.

One source within WWE said, "Kane is the most respected guy in the Raw locker room. He carries himself very professionally and it would be ashame to end his career without a decent title run." Kane has stated several times that his 24 hour title reign in 1998 does not bother him, however, many within WWE (including Vince McMahon) feels as though that Kane has been bothered that he has not gotten another title reign in his career. Even though he's technically on RAW, there was some thought to giving him a title win at Judgment Day or No Way Out, but those plans were nixed. Another source said that when Kane was asked about a possible future title reign he said, "It's time for the younger guys to shine."

Before his departure, Kane would like to be involved with Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton and John Cena. He would also like to reunite with The Undertaker as a tag team. Additionally, The Undertaker has expressed to management that Kane could possibly be the one to end his undefeated Wrestlemania streak. However, Kane turned down the idea, seeing as it would take credibility away from Taker's legacy.

All this is the reason why I've always thought that Kane deserves a title run.

OMG!!Kane is going to retire???Dude he has been wrestling for a long time (about 10 + years)...well its not THAT long but hey,hes been through a lot of shit.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-06-05 00:59:34

wow, unreal huh? He's had a good run in the company as Kane so he should feel somewhat happy with it.

Sad when you say they don't give a crap about SD. It's screwed up to concentrate on one show only. And since this is wwe we are talking about I doubt things will change dramatically, unless ECW does better that wwe and vince expects.

Kane has indeed probably accomplished everything he can in his career, and given the way WWE has been using him lately, I can't neccessarily blame him for feeling maybe it's time to go. Kane worked long and hard to get the position he's in now, and a gimmick that actually has made money and gotten him a good spot within the company. I'm not sure a title run would be right for Kane right now, even a "token" title reign wouldn't reflect well for him I think since he's basically just having his wheels spun on the show to promote the movie. Honestly, I think WWE missed the boat to use him to his best potential way back when they took the mask off, he could have had a run as unbeatable monster champion then maybe. It'd be hard to build him back up to that point, but maybe not impossible.

But to be honest, I don't think he'll need a title run to be fondly remembered by fans, he may not have always been the best worker on the show, but he consistently tries his best, and he's been a good soldier for the company throughout his career there.

I hope they use Carlito on Raw this time. True they need to promote ECW, but no sense in keeping him on Heat.

Well, ECW One Night Stand is just less than a week away. I'm so excited, especially since RVD will smoke Cena's wigger ass. And to think, if it wasn't for last years ONS, I would have never got this excited for ECW.

Now, why did they put Angle on ECW, though? That kinda confuses me. Ah well, it's good to see some wrestlers go to ECW.

BTW, for those who don't know (or who utterly forgot), this Wednesday on USA, WWE vs. ECW will be aired. Of course, I forgot the time.

Anyways, it's good to be back on NG. Sorry for being gone the long time...

WWE vs. ECW Head to Head on USA

The USA Network will get extreme on Wednesday night, June 7, when it brings to you WWE vs. ECW Head to Head. This two-hour special, which starts at 9/8 CT, will feature Superstars from RAW, SmackDown and ECW.

As quoted from WWE.com

Thanks. Since I don't go to the site because of it's gayness, this helped. I find it ridiculous that the audience in the WWE shows are booing RVD just because he's ECW. Well, I say "fuck 'em all".

But, I wonder if King will accept Tazz's challenge...?

A bit of Spoilers for tonight's RAW...

ECWWrestlingNews.com is reporting that Tommy Dreamer, Paul Heyman, Terry Funk, The Sandman, and Sabu all arrived at RAW this afternoon prior to the pre-production meeting.

ECW stars are expected on RAW tonight and it should be good seeing as they are in Pittsburgh PA, the hometown of Kurt Angle as well as a major hotbed for ECW. If more names come along, we'll report them here.

Something good is going to happen tonight.

Hell yeah something good is gonna happen! ECW is gonna whip some WWE ass! And Cena is gonna get a major ass whupping. Not only tonight, but on ONS as well.

I swear, if he retains the title at this ECW event, I will (with the exception of ECW) stop watching WWE programming until he loses it.

Well, I guess all I can do now is wait until that time...
