1.Opening segment
Jeff Jarrett comes out and wants to find out who his opponent is for tonight's King of the Mountain qualifier. He asks the announcers and then Scott Steiner comes out and attacks Don West. Then Sting & Raven come out to make the save.
2.America's Most Wanted vs The Naturals
AMW are the longest reigning NWA Tag Team Champions in TNA by holding the titles for 234 days. They surpassed the Naturals who held the belts for 168 days. But the longest reigning NWA Tag Team Champions are Vivacious Vito & Casanova Chris. They held the belts from April 24, 2001 to December 28, 2001. Can AMW surpass their reign? It was a good match, AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels came out to help The Naturals win the match by giving them Baton Sticks that Police officers use but The Naturals said that they didn't want to win that way. AMW won at the end.
3.Alex Shelley vs Jay Lethal
Alex Shelley reminds me of WCW era Chris Jericho. They both have charisma, They got similar mannerisms, And they have similar attitudes. After Jay Lethal won, Kevin Nash attacked him until Chris Sabin came out. Sabin grabs the mic and talks crap on Nash. Chris Sabin will wrestle Kevin Nash at Slammiversary.
4.Jeff Jarrett vs Raven
Jeff Jarrett won at the end to qualify for King of the Mountain 3.

Dave Meltzer reports that Rey Mysterio is expected to hold on to the World title until the 7/23 Great American Bash PPV. Pro Wrestling Insider is reporting that Mark Henry is likely to be the next Smackdown champion, setting up a Henry-Batista program.

Then again, with all the injuries on Smackdown!, they're running out of options.

Mark Henry cannot wrestle, that's why he is injuring everyone in the SD! roster. I don't understand why the WWE is pushing the fat ass so hard. The bottom line is that he is not worthy to be the champ since he has no mic and in ring skills. As a heel, he also fails to draw any heat. Fortunately, it is just 2nd June, WWE can still change their plan. PS: I will stop watching SD! if that fat ass is the champ.

As a matter of fact, SD! has other options rather than having Henry as the champ. It is likely that Vince is still sticking with the expected Randy Orton vs Batista feud, so RO could be saved until WM23. If SD! does not get any top heel from RAW, it can turn Benoit heel and have him chase the WH title. Don't tell me that he is too popular to be a heel, even Eddie had a great run as a heel. But like I said many times, WWE is dumb and they will not see this move...

All we know for sure is there will be a battle royal where that will happen, there's also talk that there will be "interpromotional" matches on the show as well, but that hasn't been totally decided yet.

As for Henry? No, can't see it happening. WWE is looking to Summerslam at this point, and considering they like the quick cash grab rather then the slow build, I imagine Booker will take the belt from Rey at GAB, and then face Batista at SS and drop it to him, using their real-life shoot fight as the impetus for the feud. Henry is a placeholder guy, a body to be thrown out to fill television minutes, not to carry the brand.

What I think is going to happen will Randy will win the gold at SummerSlam like he did in 2004 and keep it till Wrestlemania 23. Batista will win the Royal Rumble again and get his gold back at 23.

LordKooler's Friday Night SmackDown review
1.Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle is going to ECW. It's strange because Angle was a member of the Anti-ECW crusaders that tried to ruin last year's One Night Stand. It was a good match. Paul Heyman did commentary. Mysterio won at the end.
2.Matt Hardy vs Nunzio
After Matt Hardy won, Vito came out dressed in drag and Nunzio freaks out. For the first time since 2004, WWE is having a Crossdressing storyline. Crossdressing storylines usually suck. Steven Richards used to dress in drag when he would interfere in Victoria's matches on RAW. But that ended when he jobbed to Tyson Tomko at Unforgiven 2004 in one of the Worst wrestling matches of all time. That Vito Crossdressing angle is instant WrestleCrap!
3.Piper's Pit with The Great Khali
The Great Khali attacked Piper when Piper tried to tell Khali that the Undertaker was tough.
4.Jillian Hall vs Kristal
2005 Diva Search winner Ashley Massaro made her debut on SmackDown to do commentary on the Jillian Hall vs Kristal match. It's surprising because I thought that Ashley would debut on SmackDown as the manager of her Boyfriend Matt Hardy. Will Ashley suffer the same fate as Christy Hemme? After Jillian won, Torrie Wilson's "You're Not Enough For Me" heel theme hit and everyone popped because they thought it was her. But instead of Torrie Wilson, Michelle McCool came out with a new gimmick where she's this hot school teacher. McCool said that everything is going to get hotter. What does she mean by that? Remember Women of Wrestling's Disciplinarian? She was the last woman to have a school teacher gimmick before Michelle McCool. All of the gimmicks in the short lived Women of Wrestling were crap. You can read more about Women of Wrestling on wikipedia and obsessed with wrestling.
5.Mark Henry vs Paul Burchill
Mark Henry squashed Burchill at the end. Paul Burchill is gonna get knee surgery and WWE has recently dropped his Pirate gimmick. This means that Paul Burchill will return with a new gimmick when he returns to SmackDown.
6.Finlay vs Jobber
After Finlay won, The midget came out and Finlay used him as a weapon on the jobber.
7.Lashley vs King Booker
During King Booker T's entrance, William Regal kept saying "All Hail King Booker!" a million times. William Regal's "All Hail King Booker!" chant is so horrible that it makes me want to shoot myself or change the channel when I start hearing it. During the match, Booker T, Finlay, and William Regal beat up Lashley and Finlay & Regal made Lashley kiss King Booker's feet.

LK, you got a couple of things wrong. SPOILERS AHEAD, OUTLAW, TRY NOT TO READ.

Mysterio did not win the match against Angle. Angle won by count-out. Also, Regal and Finlay did not attack DURING the match, but after Lashley had won the match.

Sorry for the double-post, but I just came across some catastrophic news. You guys think that wrestling on Sci Fi doesn't make sense? Well, Sci Fi is pushing to MAKE it make sense.

Sci-Fi Channel network officials are pushing hard for a science fiction angle of some sort to take place on the new ECW show. More specifically, they want "aliens" to appear on the show. One of the reasons network officials are pushing for a Sci-Fi angle is to appease the Sci-Fi fans who are outraged that wrestling programming is taking place on the channel.

So we've got this, Cena, and Jerry Lawler wrestling at ECW. OH FUCKING JOY.

As for the outrage? What outrage? What fans? Let's get real, Sci-Fi has like maybe THREE original series, then it's just re-runs of the X-Files, and movies that other networks won't touch with a ten foot pole really (occassionally they play something good). I feel like they need to leave ECW alone, just use it as something that will draw ratings, and maybe draw attention to what programming they've got. I better find out this is bullshit, or Sci-Fi is getting an angry avie on their forums and email boxes, and I suggest all true ECW fans do the same should this "aliens" shit come to pass.

The sad fact is that he is injuring everyone. Batista, Angle, Benoit, Burchill...is the fat ass going to destroy the whole roster? With Booker and Finlay feuding with Lashley, it looks that Henry is the only choice. But I would rather having Rey as the champ until Batista comes back. SD! is really fucked up now.

Batista is too popular to be a heel. In addition, if Batista is a heel, what about RO? A face? Orton's face run from middle 2004 to early 2005 was miserable. He is much better as a heel if he does not job. I am still sticking with the idea of having RO chasing the belt after Batista instead of protecting it.

I don't normally post about the doings over at wrestlecrap, but this is their first update since april, so what the hell right? Anyway there is a rant about how they think ECW will turn and and I have to say.. damn it really does make you re-think just what is going on.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that while the Sci-Fi Channel influence on ECW won't be that bad, there will be some sort of vampire group in the promotion. Due to Raw's ratings not being where USA initially expected, WWE likely won't have the power to fight the network's decisions.

If its something similar to the Brood (Gangrel Edge And Christian) then it might not be so bad but then again ECW wasn't really focused gimmicks back in the day.

they could bring in Gangrel for that role easily, and if they just had him it wouldn't be so bad.

Gangrel also worked for ECW for a short time as "Vampire_Warrior". A vampire group dosen't sound bad, especially if they're not played as real vampires, but more similar to The Brood where it's put over that while the guys themselves might claim to be vampires, they are simply living a gothic sort of lifestyle. I would get Gangrel to lead this group, and then use a couple of developmental guys with him. Gangrel was somebody I always thought never got a real chance to prove what he could do in WWE, it'd be nice to see him get that oppurtunity in ECW.

Also, not focused on gimmicks? What about Rich and Smothers pretending to be Italian? What about the original Dudley clan before it was widdled down to Spike, Buh Buh, D-Von, and Big Dick (God rest the big man)? What about Raven and his nest? What about the bWo and all the other Stevie and Meanie parodies? What about Amish Roadkill? What about 911? Do I have to keep going, or did I justify to you all why no one should get too bent out of shape about this gimmicky addition to the roster that should meld a lot better then fucking aliens if they let Paul E. have the creative ability to book them as not real and true vampires?

What I meant to say was that while there were gimmicks in ECW it wasn't the main focal point of the product. The focal point was wrestling but quite frankly all this alien thing in ECW sounds just like something Vince would do.

I can see it already The Boogeyman in ECW.

The match I remember: Near the end of the match Lawler did the piledrives on Tazz three or four times in a row. The rest of it is kinda hazy, but I think JR smashed a glass jar over Tazz's head for Lawler to get the win. Not something I'm looking forward to seeing again. Lawler should really just stick to announching.

So far I don't really like the idea of aliens appearing on the new ECW. Did anyone watch my wrestling videos that I posted on Page 444?

I assume this time Tazz is just gonna fucking kill Lawler, considering it's an ECW show, and having Tazz job at an ECW show would be fucking insane.

Does anybody else smell a swerve in the World Heavyweight Title match? Because I smell a swerve, why else put BOTH belts on the line at the show unless one champion is going to jump and swerve his brand...and considering that the two combatants for that match are both ECW guys...well...I'd be a happy bitch to see that belt thrown down no matter what the outcome : )

Honestly I think it needs to be cena who loses the belt that night, not Rey. If wwe thinks they can get away with swerve crap with teh ECW crowd they have another thing coming.

Haven't gotten to thoes video's yet LK, but don't worry, I will watch them.
