I don't think you quite understand ECW red. We NEED those older talents back for the sake of credibility of the shows. I agree that with the exception of guys like RVD, Anderson, Dreamer, and Sandman, nobody that's currently signed should have the company really built around them, but you can't simply stock it with new guys no one has heard of.
While I'm not horribly sold on Angle going there, he adds "big name" credibility to interest the casual WWE fan who may know nothing of the old ECW, but may give the new one a shot, also, Angle's character and style CAN fit with ECW. Especially when you considered they're talking about moving an old amateur wrestling opponent of his who has been working for Zero-One and is on a developmental deal over there. Plus, we got Benoit now. That's like...officially, unofficial I think. I'll try to confirm that more as time goes on.
Also, Tazz is going, which we knew for weeks, but apparently that was a typical "WWE site fuckup" in that we were NOT supposed to know that yet. The word right now is that Tazz is supposed to jump (my own feeling is that it'll be this week on SD! since Paul E. has declared "open season", but that's just MY feeling) and become either ECW's color man (him and Joey in the booth would be magic!) or become an on-air character (feud with Angle? Feud with Angle).
So while there's some ruffled feathers about Angle, this could turn into a good positive for the newly emerging ECW if we just give it a chance.
