I know the meaning of May 19th. According to old WWF footage May 19th was the date that the funeral house burned down and Kane got his "scars" and was forced to wear the mask.

Sorry for the double post but here is the story on May 19th.

On May 19, 1998, Kane was revealed to be the result of a furtive union between The Undertaker's mother and Paul Bearer, an employee at the funeral home in Death Valley owned by The Undertaker's parents. When Kane and The Undertaker were children, The Undertaker "accidentally" burned down the funeral home, killing their parents and hideously scarring Kane both physically and mentally (the parents of The Undertaker are supposedly buried somewhere on Long Island; during an episode of RAW taped on Long Island, Kane and Bearer ostensibly exhumed their bodies and brought them to the arena). Bearer, who survived the fire, hid Kane in a mental asylum as he grew up and went on to form an alliance with The Undertaker. After suffering mistreatment at the hands of The Undertaker, Bearer opted to bring Kane in to the WWF in order to gain vengeance upon The Undertaker.

Look at the date it happened so that's probably why May 19th drives Kane nuts.

Hey, so if Kane goes over to Smackdown permanently (assuming he is even going over in the first place), do you think he would eventually end up back in a fues with Taker? It could probably coincide with the release of Khali as well :P

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-05-16 12:15:57

Its a good possibility that Kane would feud with Taker. My hope is that Kane will get a title run.

And he could defend versus Taker. I like that idea.

Another question that comes to mind is will he go back to wearing a mask? I'm still not all that sure about giving him a title run just because he was in a movie though.

I think he will use the mask again I remember it showed up on the titantron two weels back so it seems that's the plan.

I prefer that over giving a guy a title run because his friend dies. At least Kane is entertaining to watch.

Yeah, that's also what I think. Triple H was in a, never mind. Just because someone is in a movie from WWE doesn't mean they deserve the title. I guess the Rock should have like 20 titles then.

I don't think he deserves the title because of a movie I think he deserves it because he's been loyal to the WWE and he's given his everything to that company the least the WWE could do is pay him back for making champ for only a day.

Actually we was Champion for only a day once before. He is loyal to them though,

or maybe not, you may find it funny that the D is blocking someone's face, so it can either be HBK or HHH, The poster may just be about the main event, but at least one thing is certain, D-Generation X is comin' back, full force...

Kane deserves the title.

He's paid his dues to the WWE.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-05-16 22:53:04

I hope the speculation about him putting the mask back on is true. he was much more intimidating and really had more personality with the mask on. Besides that, he looks like a retarded caveman with a half shaven head. He is truly talented but could use a new look and a well deserved title shot/reign.

yeah HHH was in Blade III, but he had been champion long before he had a movie role, as did the Rock.

While I really applaud the research and effort you put into this...the true answer is much more mundane. May 19th (or this Friday) is when Kane's movie "See No Evil" opens, this is also the first venture by WWE films and they are of course promoting it hard. But the fact that they have Kane in character in every press thing they've done is pretty stupid and insulting to audience intelligence, but as PWInsider said, they deserve credit for drumming up all this press for the film.

I doubt it. The UT vs Kane feud has been done too many times before. But of course, an alliance between those two can be interesting.

Agreed. The real reason is more than likely because See No Evil comes out on May 19th but something that the writers must have been aware as to what happened on May 19th. My question is did they push so that the movie would debut on may 19th or was it just one hell of coincidence?

I dont think it's coincidence that the film is being released on the same day as all that other stuff about him, its like Omen being released on 6/6/6. I do think it's just pure luck that it happenes to be a date when WWE programming is on. Either that or they planned it really really well.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-05-17 12:07:26

maybe so but all this may 19th stuff is just annoying.

Speaking of annoying, I don't think I'm up for another JBL title run. I can hardly stand him now with the US title. WWE has really botched Rey's title run too. This should have been a championship reign that made us feel good about the little guy that beat all the odds, not the way wwe is doing it now.

Get ready because the Sci-Fi channel is about to get EXTREME!

Dave Meltzer is reporting that the Sci-Fi Network is working on an ECW press release that will get approval from Vince or Linda McMahon.

Unless there is a late-breaking change, ECW will start on the network with a weekly time slot in mid-to-late June.

Wait... so... ECW's going to be on... the Sci-Fi channel, then? That's retarded. Not only is SciFi the worst channel on TV (that I've seen) but ECW is also totally out of place there.

been done as well; they were tag champs together.

In my opinion, Think that either/or would be interesting. I've loved the idea how two wrestlers are written into the script as being related. I would love two see these two brothers interacting together in the future, be it as friends or rivals

At 5/16/06 11:52 PM, MegaGold wrote: I never got how to play WWE Fantasy, anyways, how do you play it?

well, if you've ever played Baseball or Hockey fantasy. it's kind of the same thing.

In WWE Fantasy, you create a "Fantasy" roster with all your favorite wreslters. then, you watch RAW or Smackdown! to see if anyone on your roster makes an apperance.

Points are rewarded for making an apperance, competing in a match, winning a match, competing in a title match, winning a title, retaining a title, and so on and so forth.

there should be a much broader FAQ on the site, I encourage everyone to join, on top of winning tickets to Survior Series, there are weekly prizes: DVDs, Shirts, Etc.

Maria and Melina are PRETTY. And cute. I like cute girls. And pretty ones. Jillian goes overboard with the makeup, and doesn't have the same cuteness or sex appeal as other divas do.

ECW on... sci-fi?? Um... since when is ecw classified under sci-fi? This doesn't make a whole lot of sense.. but screw it, if this means that ECW has a solid tv spot and a channel willing to have it, then who cares right? Lets just hope it gets a good time slot/running time. I would hate to have it for just an hour.
