His 10 year contract expires in August. I doubt it will be renewed. Mark has never been able to make a splash in the business. Plus he just looks like a giant meat ball.

If it's because of something that he has said or done backstage (it's happened in the past) it was because of his own temprament. At least that's my view on the whole matter. I wonder if he's in this Friday's SD! or not now...

Maybe it is because Orton is not happy about Rey winning the tittle at WM22 since he probably thought that it was his time. So he could have said something negative about Vince and the company after the match. Guess what, according to the spoilers on www. prowrestling.com, he jobbed to Rey clean AGAIN. (It is probably the way how Vince wants to punish him.) The good news is the The King of the Ring is coming back next week at SD!. Unfortunately, Orton will wrestle ankle on the first round and I can see him job clean again before take the suspention for 2 months. Undertaker is also occupied with the Mark Henry feud since Vince simply does not want him to win the tittle again. I am sorry to say that, but the next 2 months will be the darkest era of the WWE history... :(

The reason why UT is still feuding with Henry is because Vince does not want UT to have his last major title reign. (One of the reasons why Vince is a moron now.) Therefore, he needs to have the feud going to keep UT occupied.

That could be the case. Orton has been notorious for his mouth backstage and he probably did say something stupid to someone out of rage that got him suspended. Sucks that he's not gonna be winning the title anytime soon, but I guess that would sufice as a punishment for his mouth.

It's interesting to see that the WWE is bringing back the King of the Ring. Wonder what made them do this all of a sudden? It's gonna be interesting to see who all they throw into it when it starts. It's not a suprise to me that they don't have Taker winning the title anytime soon. It seems like these days he only appears every couple of shows (sometimes once a month) and then you don't see him again for a while. That's probably why he isn't getting a shot at it at the moment. I thought that maybe 22 would be his last WM, but I could be wrong...

Dream_of_Duke brought it up. I think he said he found it on a website and that it was coming back to SD! next week sometime.

It happened on the Smackdown tapings so we'll all get to hear the announcement this week. If it does happen I think Lashley will win it.

A note about Orton's suspension it starts on April 12th (next wednesday) which explains why he was on Smackdown and why he's announced for next week, remember the Smackdown tapings are done on tuesdays so I think they'll do some sort of angle so Orton is can serve his suspension.

Thanks for this info, it explains a lot. It's going to suck not having Randy around for a while. He is currently one of my faves. I guess now I will just need to continue marking out for MNM, Finlay, Carlito, and the Spirit Squad.

Wow, it seems that you only like heels. Personally I only like a couple of heels like Randy Orton and Edge, although my favs are faces like BATISTA, ANGLE, MYSYERIO, well you get the point.

Can I become a member here? I was a wrestling fan for awhile until I lost interest (but still followed it from time to time), but have had a renewed interest since WrestleMania 18.

Some news for you all regarding the Backlash PPV, if you haven't heard. The main event has been announced as John Cena, Edge, and Triple H in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-04-06 02:55:33

I can't wait for KotR and also ECW Another One Night Stand. But this year it will suck because most of the well known ECW wrestlers like the Dudley Boyz and others are in TNA while the ECW PPV is owned by WWE.

It has been rumored that Kane is going to win the WHC title from Rey at JMD since his DVD will be soon released after that. I see Kane somehow get into the tourney can win it to become the No.1 contender. (He is not feuding with anyone at RAW now.)

I'm with everyone who says it should be RVD/Rey for the WHC title at ONS. Having a WWE belt decided on the show is something I'm against, but if it has to happen, let two ECW guys fight for it. Keep the WWE guys off the show this year, they're a needless distraction.

What happened to the original ECW belts? Well I have a couple of solid answers, and two "um...":

World Heavyweight Title: The belt was left in the possesion of Rhino when the company folded. Rhino has admitted to since selling the title on eBay.

TV Title: Was thrown down by Rhino at Guilty As Charged 2001 so that he could challenge and defeat The Sandman (a mix of shoot in the work here, as Rhino said the title didn't matter anymore because "we're not even on fucking TV anymore"). The belt however disappeared in the confusion that night, and has not been seen since (I'm sure it'll pop up on ebay some day, or some fan somewhere has it).

Tag Titles: Last held by Danny Doring and Roadkill, last I knew, they still had the belts in their possesion.

FTW title: Originally a TV title spray painted orange. That belt was retired, and probably discarded. An actual FTW title was made for Taz to carry later on in his reign, and was briefly held by Sabu. The belts were unified at ECW Living Dangerously '99. My assumption is that Taz was given possesion of the now purposeless FTW belt, and is still in possesion of it.

As far as replicas, a replica ECW World belt was made by WWE, and has been for sale on they're site since at least last year's ONS. It's a bit pricey though at about 100 plus dollars.

I hope Edge wins at Backlash. Cena is annoying, and I don't really like HHH. He had his shot and lost, he should go to the back of the line.

I'd root for Edge over HHH. Edge deserves a better title run than he had last time.

oh yeah: ThePunisher52 you are # 201. Welcome!

So wwe did make a replica of the ECW belt. Sad they didn't make the others.

I don't know about Kane winning the title just to promote a movie. Doesn't sound all that cool to me.

I'd have to say if I root for anyone to take the title off Cena, I'm gonna go with HHH on this one. I've liked him a lot better than Edge and I feel that the fans want to see him with the belt at this point in time. Well, the traditional fans do at least. I still hope that it ends up being RVD vs. Myesterio at ONS, that would be a good match, ECW V. ECW and would probably get high ratings. As for Kane's movie, it didn't seem much different than other movies of it's type, other than Kane is in it...

Kane deserves a title run,not because he has a movie coming out but the WWE still hasn't repayed him after his pathetic title run a couple of years back.Kane went through the whole "Katie Vick"storyline and you never heard any complains coming from him. He's been extremely loyal to the WWE (Almost as much as Taker) and the least they could do is give him a title run to reward him for his loyalty to the company.

That is true. Kane went through hell with that Katie Vick story with all the abuse from HHH that came with it. I remembered about that, but I couldn't remember what her name was. Thinking back on it they do kinda owe him for that and the botched title run don't they?

Considering he was a fake undertaker, and an evil dentist in the wwe before becoming kane, i would say he's stuck with them through quite a bad lot. Hell, in memphis he wore a tinsil getup and was the christmas monster or something like that, though that was before he came to the wwe.

what title run? He had it for a day. That is no title run in my book. Title win yes, run no. I'm tempted to say a similar thing about Edge but he at least defended it and won once. Though he did pull a kane with the IC belt.

Kane never won the World Heavyweight Championship since it was reintroduced in September 2002. I remember Kane and Triple H had a match back in October 2002 where it was a unification of the Intercontinental title and the World Heavyweight Championship, which Kane lost. Kane hasn't held the either major championship since he was WWE Champion June 28 1998 when he beat Stone Cold Steve Austin, and that was for one night because he got beat by Austin the next night.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-04-06 15:39:42

Kane definitely deserves a shot, I won't deny that. However, he would be a boring champion. His mic skills are non-existent and he really doesn't have much charisma. I believe this is the exact reason that he was never given a long title run. Considering that about 50% of the average WWE program is all talking/promos, there is no use giving a belt to someone who cannot talk and keep people entertained on the mic. This is one of the reasons that I think Rey will fail as a champ. He sounds like he's fifteen years old and will most likely just bore people to death with his promos.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-04-06 16:11:06

Obviously you have forgotten his "Kane-a-nite" phase where he acted all funny and cut some great promo's. This was when they altered his mask so that he could talk, since his original mask really didn't have an opening for his mouth. So he can indeed be charasmatic.

As for talking, don't you remember when he first took off the mask and was given all that air time to talk evil and such? He can talk, he just doesn't get a chance to do so much anymore.

Does Kane deserve a title run? Sure why not, he's paid his dues, and is generally over with the crowd but I don't think he should be gunning for Rey. I have no idea why so many of you don't like him but Rey's title run should have some meaning behind it, not just to get squashed again by the likes of Kane.

on a side note, while i was cruising in a music store I went over to the discount bin and found the RVD "One of a Kind" two disk DVD set. picked that sucker up right away. I'll probably watch it later tonight.

TNA doesn't come on on thursdays yet does it? When does it start on this day and i'm guessing at 11 for the start time.

You're right New Age Outlaw there's no reason to keep people who are boirng on the mic as the champs so the WWE should take the belts away from both Cena and Misterio. Misterio rarely talks and when he does he lulls people to sleep and Cena has the sense of humor of an eight year old neither one is that entertaining (On the mic, Misterio is entertaining in the ring) so maybe they shouldn't be holding the belts.
