Spoiler*****

So now that SD is said and done (the tapings) Matt Hardy and Finlay are both in the MITB match. Who does everyone think will win the battle royal next week which determines the third and final participant?

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-03-17 16:59:19

I'm thinking Lashley because he and Finlay seem to have a feud so it would make sense, besides I don't see any other possible contender.

Did you say HHH, as a face??!!11!

Leave...Leave now....

HHH HEEL FOR LIFE!!!!

Cena heel, maybe. But H as face, NEVER!

The sad part is that HHH looks like a face (from the fans' reactions) although he has tried so hard to be a heel in front of Cena.

He comes off being more a comedian when he cuts promos with Cena.

The thing is people respect HHH's wrestling ability while Cena doesn't really have any wrestling ability and has gotten stale on the mic.

PS.Duke-GW.. Duke better be careful.

heh yeah it helps to know the terms. so far Sd is kinda stale with the exception of me finally seeing Burchill's finisher. It does look pretty cool.

but you know he's not much of a pirate. Aren't pirates supposed to be rule breakers? If they really wanted us to buy into this he should be cheating like hell and causing trouble wherever he goes. Having a sword, wearing funny pants and a funny hairstyle does not make you a pirate.

all i can say is that they had better put matt in the MITB match. Having finlay on isn't exactly the best news in the world.

I think Matt will ultimately be in the MITB match. The WWe doesn't really have anyone else who can take part in that match.

LordKooler's Friday Night SmackDown review
1.Finlay vs Lashley
This was a Lumberjack match. Finlay won at the end to qualify for the Money in The Bank match at Wrestlemania.
2.William Regal & Jillian Hall vs Paul Burchill & Kristal
Kristal's first tag team match. Burchill & Kristal won at the end.
3.Booker T vs Jeremy Young
Booker T won the match. Then the Boogeyman's music hits and Booker T & Sharmell hide under the ring but The Boogeyman is there so Booker T & Sharmell run away again.
4.Animal vs Matt Hardy
Animal came out with new music and new ring attire before his match with Matt Hardy. Speaking of Matt Hardy, Shannon Moore will be returning to WWE on the Smackdown brand to team with Hardy again. The finish was crap. Animal won with brass knuckles but the referee saw the brass knuckles and Hardy won the match by DQ. Matt Hardy will take part in the money in the bank match at Wrestlemania 22.
5.Chris Benoit vs Orlando Jordan
When will Orlando Jordan's Bisexual gimmick start? JBL did commentary during the match. After Chris Benoit won, JBL attacked Benoit with a beer cooler.
6.Kurt Angle & Rey Mysterio & Randy Orton vs MNM & Mark Henry
Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, and Rey Mysterio won at the end.

He definitely is. The match between him and Animal was for the second spot. So now Hardy and Finlay are confirmed. I, personally, am a fan of Finlay so I don't mind that he won. Besides, he really nailed Lashley with that club. How could they possibly let the tough Irishman lose on St. Patty's Day? They didn't thankfully. I kind of wish they would have named the participants for next week's battle royal to determine the final slot.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-03-17 23:57:23

I have a feeling that it might be Booker T. He is going to have his match with booget saturday which leaves him free for WM.

Still though, the three shining stars of that match will be RVD, Benjamin and Hardy. Nothing against flair, but when I think of ladder matches he does not come to mind. Not too sure on Finlay, since all his matches have been so short that I have no idea what he can do.

Finlay's a good technical wrestler but I don't expect much from him in a ladder match as for Booker T that would make sense having him in the MITB ladder match mostly because I don't want him to keep feuding with the Boogeyman.

It is a pity that Lashley is left along, he certainly deserves to be there more than the likes of Matt Hardy.

Lashley may end up competing in the battle royal next week. There is really no telling just yet. I have a feeling that this Boogeyman/Booker feud will carry into WM so Lashley still has hope.

Hardy is ready to possibly carry the ball in a bout like this, Lashley isn't. Kid has a ton of potential, but if they push him too far too fast, he's never going to reach it (look at mistakes like Cena). Hardy was the right choice here, though I highly doubt he has any chance of winning, ditto Finlay, so far it looks like the only two guys with the potential to pull this one off are Benjamin or Van Dam, and I'm leaning more towards Benjamin with the company's track record with RVD. The other guys are there because they can help keep the match interesting, and make it work. Some people have suggested Ric Flair possibly winning this, and then doing the story of a final run at the World title, but I'm not sure that's the road they want to go...unless they really do plan to let H win the belt, and stay heel....he DOES have the stroke to get something like this pushed through...

I am not saying that Lashley should win it, but he should be there with his potential. Plus, watching him wrestling is much more fun than watching Hardy.

Hello everybody. well it is saturday whichmeans I am free for awhile and can get at least one post in. so I saw WWE and see that the prince of punk left TNA to go back to being a MCB. tonight is SNME and I might check it out but once again. the new show is just to put no name people on tv so they don't jump ship. not really much to say. I really hate to say it but WWE has not been doing so bad as of late for me to be ripping them a new asshole. plus they did a really smart thing. they are putting SNME at 8 instead of making it compete with TNA.
well that is about it. I hope all you guys are well. I really wish I could pop around here more but that's life. when you have a job and things that need to be done you find your free time slowly fading away. wish you guys the best, keep this thread up. hopefully around spring break I will have a sloid week of post whoring in this topic and I dare anyone to stop me (please don't ban me)

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-03-18 09:16:11

I think they should have left Rey out of the main event at WM and put him in the MITB match instead. That way he could of done something with RVD in the match, and possibly impress us in a match he's more suited to.
Kennedy should have been in this match, though. Its a shame he got injured, otherwise he would have had plenty of air time by now, maybe some other title opportunities, and he would have been able to be impressive in the match even if he wouldn't win.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-03-18 10:07:21

I don't think Benjamin will win the MITB ladder match because he's already the IC champion. I think RVD wins the MITB and ends up feuding with a "heel" Cena.

Well, both SNME and TNA are showing at 8 over here. Means I'm gonna skip TNA, but just for this week. I can sacrifice a week of TNA to see a show that isn't even weekly.

I'm going to try and tape it since I'll be at work. The matches they have for it are decent enough so hopefully it will be good.

Here is my quick SNME recap. Do not expect it to be thorough or humorous. I just trhew this together as I was watching it.

It was a great show with a PPV atmosphere.

The show opened with Orton, Angle, and Mysterio vs. HHH and Cena. Towards the end of the match, HHH pedigreed his own partner, Cena and then layed Randy on top of Cena and began to walk away. At the count of two, Mysterio pulled Orton off of Cena and complained that he didn't want to win like that. While Mysterio as arguing with Orton, HHH ran back to the ring and pedigreed Mysterio. Angle then came in and clotheslined HHH over the top rope, Angle then turned around and was RKO'ed by his own partner, Orton. Orton then went for the RKO on Cena but it was reversed and Cena got the quick pin.

Winners: HHH and Cena

Booker T was then seen backstage saying that he cannot wrestle the Boogeyman because he is injured. Theodore Long didn't really argue and said okay. Booker then walked away showing that he clearly wasn't hurt. Theodore then named the WM match between Boogey and Booker.

Edge then brought out Foley as his guest on The Cutting Edge. Edge immediate set a table on fire. Some guy ran into the ring and put out the fire. Foley then put a bunch of tacks in the middle of the ring. As soon as he was about to clothesline Edge onto the tacks, Lita interefered and caused Foley to fall face first into the tacks. Edge and Foley proceeded to whoop each other's asses for the next five minutes.

After this, Boogeyman is shown hanging from the ceiling in Booker's locker room which scares the shit out of Bookey and his wife.

Next up is the beer drinking contest. Both guys talk shit to each other for a few minutes. This segment was quite funny. It was good to see Stone Cold back. They have 25 beers each and have 1 minute to drink as many as possible. JBL was cheating and pouring the beer down his chest. Austin didn't see this at first because they were standing back to back. Austin then caught him cheating and called him on it. JBL then smacked Austin and ran out of the ring. Benoit then ran out from behind and threw JBL back into the ring. Austin then gave JBL the stunner after throwing about six beers into his face. Austin then gave him the finger and walked around posing.

Next was Candice and Victoria versus Trish and Mickie James. The match sucked and ended with Trish pinning Victoria after the Stratusfaction. Mickie James never got tagged into the match and was pissed off afterwards. Mickie gace a speech to Trish to say goodbye and then said "I wanna say goodbye in the right way." She then tried to lean in and kiss Trish. Trish then pushed her away. Mickie then chick kicked Trish in the face and began to grab her by the hair and taunt her. "You don't love me, huh!? Do you love me now?" Mickie then picked trish up and gave her the Stratusfaction.

Mark Henry then came out to talk shit. Taker ended up annihilating Henry for 5 minutes and then Tombstone Davari onto the wooden casket. Henry ran away like a fat bitch.

Finally came the most entertaining match of the night. It was a fantastic street fight between HBK and Shane-o-Mac. Vince assisted Shane the entire match by setting up tables and such. There were a couple of huge moves including a superplex from the top of the ladder in the ring through two tables outside of the ring. Vince continued to interfere very often with everything from chair shots to kendo sticks to the back. Shane's version of the Van Terminator intended for HBK ended up hitting Vince, knocking him from the match for the time being. HBK then hit the Sweet Chin Music. He went for the cover and at the count of 2, Vince pulled the ref out of the ring. HBK then attacked Vince. As he was doign this, Shane attacked HBK from behind and put him in the sharpshooter. The ref was then knocked out. So Vince called for the bell, screwing HBK the same way he screwed Bret by saying that he tapped out.

Winner: Shane-O-Mac

End of Show!

Well, I hope that was informative.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-03-19 00:00:53

The HBK-Shane match was great its been a while since I saw a good match on WWE programming. Booker and Boogey at Wrestlemania, guess Booker won't be in the MITB ladder match.

Now after that Boogey/Booker announcement is making me thank Christ my friend is offering to pay for my end of Mania as a late birthday present...it's time for the new Saturday night tradition...uh huh...it's time for another action packed addition of:

Talkin' TNA

Impact was another solid effort this week, and again has me questioning why the ratings are going down. It almost has to be because the Sting announcement working way too well. Although I imagine the Six Sides of Steel match next week is going to try and counteract that. Onto my thoughts on the hour.

Plusses: I really like that TNA is doing a Six Sides of Steel bout for next week. The Lockdown PPV is going to feature nothing but this type of match, like it or not, so it's good that TNA is showing one on TV to try and get over how brutal and different it is from a typical steel cage match. It's also good that The Duds are being given the ability to face Team Canada here, and blow off that feud so they can I'm assuming, face AMW at the PPV. This also gives TNA the oppurtunity to attempt to establish Bubba and D-Von in a match that is a TNA original, and begin to morph the team into a more recognizable part of TNA...I really enjoyed the X-Cup Qualifier again this week. The X Division is always solid, it's the crown jewel of TNA, but I really liked that they took three guys this week that are very talented, but don't always get the best amount of total TV time to shine, and put them in a bout that has some importance. Sonjay works very hard, and deserved the win, but hopefully the stock of everyone involved was raised a little...I think Big Poppa Pump will be a good edition for the company, and hanging out with Jarett will make him easily established as a top heel, and he's a big name for the company to have aside from Sting. Which should also give them a good push...The Simon Diamond segment was really funny, and I'm liking the use of the Shelley cam, which I've heard will only continue to be used more...Jim Mitchell is a great, great promo guy. He's definitely got me interested in the possibility of a Christian/Abyss match at Lockdown.

Minusses: Another week, another Christian segment, and again he just continues to kill all the juice from his character. I don't know if this is TNA, or just Christian thinks he needs to be the stoic white bread champion, but goddamn, it's gotta stop! Christian is killing off any momentum he had, and I just can't buy him as "Captain Charisma" anymore. I can understand and appreciate that Christian is trying to look like a champion, and take the role he has been given seriously. That is commendable. But he is killing off one of the biggest reasons why he was given the belt in the first place. His great promos and personality.
