Current Headlines for New Years Eve 2005
TNA News: iMPACT!, Japan/Mexico Stars, Sting, More News
The first iMPACT! taping of the new year will take place on January 3rd, 2006.
As noted here before, there are plans to bring in international talent from Japan and Mexico. PWI also reports that there are plans for TNA to take the independent bookings of their talents in house in 2006.
TNA will continue to air video packages of their stars on episodes of iMPACT!. There are already videos in the works for Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Monty Brown and Ron Killings. This is obviously a great move by TNA as they can get their stars over more with their fans.
TNA is hoping Sting's name/star power will draw media attention.

WWE Comments TNA On Byte This
On this weeks edition of WWE Byte This, a caller asked about a possible WCW reunion show, but before the caller hung up they commented that “TNA is better then WWE.” Momentarily Todd Grisham got mad and told him to call the TNA show if they have one.
Also another caller stated that “TNA is better than WWE” and then hung up quickly. Todd immediately fired back by saying, “So why are you calling our show, retard?” “Call the TNA Show if they have one.”
Maybe well see a rivalry here between the companies soon.

Gregory Helms Feud With Lawler, Stacy’s Return & New Theme Song
The band by the name of “Zebrahead” has recently finished recording a new theme song for Stacy Keibler. It is being reported that WWE will be using the theme song in January. Stacy currently has been working with the dance program, and has been advised to appear at a SmackDown! Taping in mid-January.
Look for Gregory Helms to be feuding with Jerry “The King” Lawler when he makes his television return. This past Monday on WWE Unlimited he stated that Jerry Lawler has been saying bad things about him, and he’s making him out to be a joke. He then proceeded to state that Helms has plans on shutting him up.
Also Helms feels as if he is being held down and he doesn’t like the fact that he is not on RAW.
Helms as of yet hasn’t wrestled a live edition of RAW since he ditched “The Hurricane” gimmick. Lately he has been competing only at house shows and WWE Heat. Jerry Lawler never commentates on Heat as Jonathan Coachman and Todd Grisham do.

Report: Randy Orton Involved In Confrontation With Fan
Note: This is simply an early report regaurding this incident. Therefore, it should not yet be distinguished as fact.
A PWTorch.com correspondent claims that Randy Orton got into a confrontation with a fan prior to a house show Wednesday.
According to the source, the incident began when the fan insulted Orton for going AWOL. The wrestler responded with a verbal attack against the military, bringing over a WWE security official.
As the exchange continued, Orton reportedly dared the wrestler to come towards him (apparently for a fight). The fan refused, and Orton eventually made his way into the arena.
The security guard proceeded to insult the nearby fans, allegedly saying that he wished the fan did move towards Orton so that the third-generation superstar could "bitchslap him."
Due to the nature of this report, readers are advised to await further information before labeling this "factual." One particular note of concern is the degree of seriousness behind Randy Orton's apparent challenge for a fight.

Former TNA Wrestler Signs With WWE
Reports indicate former TNA wrestler Sonny Siaki has recently signed a deal with WWE.
Right now it is not known when Siaki will start with WWE or if he will be located at the company’s developmental territories. (Ohio Valley Wrestling or Deep South Wrestling).
It appears that Siaki was recommended to WWE by creative team member Dusty Rhodes. During Siaki’s career in TNA, he worked with Rhodes often, as Rhodes was the head booker for the company at the time. Siaki’s contract with TNA had expired earlier this year and he decided not to renew it when the time came around.
